“It is simply inaccurate to state-as too many have-that the border with Mexico is overrun or out of control. This statement-I think sometimes is made to score some political points you know-but it’s wrong. It’s just plain wrong” said the clueless Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano said Friday that “given the statistical framework” the U.S.-Mexico border is not “overrun or out of control”–adding that those who make such claims are just trying to score political points.
“But I think the amount of resources we’ve put at the border with Mexico shows how serious this administration is,” Napolitano said in a speech at the Newseum in Washington, D.C.
Just two days before Napolitano made these statements, Richard Stana, director of homeland security and justice issues for the nonpartisan Government Accountability Office–the federal auditing agency that investigates the effectiveness and efficiency of other government agencies–testified in the Senate Homeland Security Committee that the Border Patrol can stop or prevent illegal entries into the United States along only 129 miles of the 1,954-mile long U.S.-Mexico border.
Napolitano Defends Progress in Securing the Border
FOX Phoenix
Homeland Security Secretary and former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano is speaking about the Obama administration’s efforts to secure the border.
She notes the growing number of Border Patrol and I.C.E. agents being stationed there — and, how the amount of manpower is yielding results.
The progress being made prompted Secretary Napolitano to call the border quote, “secure” while making sure the rest of the U.S. knows the border is quote, “safe and open for business.”
“..I think the amount of resources we put at the border with Mexico shows how serious this administration is. So given the deployment of resources, given the statistical framework, it is simply inaccurate to state as too many have, that the border with Mexico is overrun or out of control.” said Napolitano. “..We have been focusing on those in the country illegally, who have also been committing other crimes, who are really impacting the public’s safety in the United States. So, while in the last two years we’ve actually removed more illegal immigrants from the country than any two years prior, something I think the public should recognize, half of those are people who have committed other crimes as well. And as we continue to deploy a system called ‘secure communities,’ that percentage of removals who are actually those who are also in our criminal justice system will only go up.”
ICE continues to release known predators

ICE continues to release known predators who have been arrested, tried and convicted. If ICE had deported illegal immigrant Jose Reyes Alfaro in 2002, the three people he is accused of murdering in February with a handgun and machete during a bloody rampage in Manassas might still be alive. So would Sister Denise Mosier, the Benedictine nun who was killed last August by twice-convicted drunk driver Carlos Martinelly Montano, who was released because ICE didn’t consider him a “flight risk.” Morton claims that ICE is “dedicated to the removal of criminal offenders from our country.” But when just one county in Virginia has had to rearrest more than 300 criminals previously sent to ICE for deportation, Morton has to do a lot more than this to prove it.

Wild Thing’s comment………
Janet doesn’t have the intelligence to fry tortillas and yet she is head of Homeland Insecurity.
She does have the brawn, though, to be a bouncer in a cantina on the border, which would be a suitable job for her.
She Is An Improvement Over Janet Reno
The problem she has is her activities impacts people every week. There is something unnatural that she wants to do things as stupid as Jami Gorlic did under Clinton. This desire to the dumbest thing possible must be genetic and a test should be developed. You can’t fix stupid but maybe you can test for it.
