Restaurant industry sales are expected to reach a record $604 billion and post positive growth in 2011 after a three-year period of negative real sales growth, according to the National Restaurant Association 2011 Restaurant Industry Forecast. Sales are projected to advance 3.6 percent over 2010 sales, which equals 1.1 percent in real (inflation-adjusted) terms.

Los Angeles Times
Obama’s perception of how painfully the feds need to address their fiscal canyon: “If you’re a family trying to cut back, you might skip going out to dinner, you might put off a vacation.”
Delay a vacation? Where, to his planet? When millions of American families would settle for having a job in Obama’s unstimulated economy? Or keeping their home while the Democrat lobs $53 billion more taxpayer money winning the future with unions ….
Wild Thing’s comment……
Remember how his yakking did a lot of damage to the tourist and business reteat of Las Vegas. Obama did tremendous damage with his comments back then about not going there, and even telling businesses not to have their business meetings and conferences there.
Now he has done it with going out to eat.
He wants to dictate to every aspect of our lives.
Obama continues to show his disdain for and mockery of the Office of the President–and, having no leadership skills, continues to fly his one-finger salute to Americans.
He must be driven from office. Soon.
obama is just the opposite of King Midas. Everything obama touches turns to crap.
Tom, DITTO that! Well said Tom.
