I love these special relationships our troops have with their caninei partners. There are some awesome stories about them from every war we have had this.
When I was at Ft Benning I was in barracks adjacent to a canine unit. It was fun watching the handlers putting their dogs through their paces. Most of these dogs were sniffer or scout dogs and were friendly to everyone.
In Vietnam we had guard dogs on our helicopter base. These were not friendly dogs.
