Several States Seeing Health Care Premiums Jump By More Than 50% Because of Obamacare

A new survey of health insurance brokers shows premiums in several states have increased more than 50 percent, Fox News reported Monday.

“So this was the largest percentage increase in any quarter since they’ve been doing the survey, but a 12 percent, 11 percent increase on average across all the states, that puts it at the upper end of any increase we’ve seen for decades,” said Dr. Scott Gottlieb, a former adviser for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Reporter Jim Angle said the survey laid the blame on Obamacare, and Delaware, Florida and California are among the states with the highest premium hikes. Requirements of the new health care law have driven up the costs of the benefits.

“Ten essential health benefits along with more than 20,000 pages of regulations, the current increases are for the first policies issued under Obamacare in 2014, but insurance companies will soon have to set rates for 2015 as well, and analysts fear the increases now mean even bigger increases next year,” he said.

Gottlieb added the administration no longer bothers to peddle the false promise that Obamacare would save families $2,500 per year.

Wild Thing’s comment…………
The best thin that could happen to fight this nightmare would be if all of it happened as fast as possible, the entire nightmare. Let people be forced to see how terrible it truly is so they will wake up. There are still people that actually think it is a good thing. sheesh.
