CVS will help promote Obamacare
CVS Caremark is joining the effort to encourage Americans to sign up for Obamacare insurance programs, company executives announced Thursday.
CVS officials told POLITICO that they’re planning to use pharmacies at their 7,400 North American stores as a gateway for the uninsured to learn about new coverage options — especially subsidized insurance coverage available to low-income people on state-based insurance exchanges.
“Half of people who are eligible for a subsidy don’t know they’re eligible,” Helena Foulkes, chief health care strategy and marketing officer at CVS Caremark, said in an interview.
Foulkes said CVS pharmacies would invite trained “navigators” into their stores to help eligible people sign up for exchanges. The company also plans to plug the health law at 375 health care fairs around the country, particularly in areas with high rates of uninsured people and large minority populations.
Wild Thing’s comment………….
We only use Walgreen’s, I hope they stay away from this crap. What happened to people not having a brain and not realizing this is all socialized medicine…………socialism wanting to control our live and our money and everything about us.
CVS is obviously going to troll for the users of obamacare. I don’t use CVS either.
