Karl Rove joined Greta Van Susteren last night to discuss the government’s plan to blow $700,000,000, nearly a billion dollars to plug Obamacare. But, get this… The Obama Administration is only spending the money on TV ads in swing state markets. This is unbelievable.
“They’re buying a bunch of media markets. Like they are buying New Orleans and Charlotte, North Carolina. They’re not buying Los Angeles. They’re not buying New York. They’re not buying Chicago. They’re not buying Boston. They’re not buying San Francisco. They’re not buying six of the ten largest markets in America. But they’re going to buy TV ads to sing the praises of Obamacare in New Orleans and Charlotte, North Carolina. What about those markets? Why those markets? Well those are in battleground states with US Senate races where the Democratic incumbent voted for Obamacare and is defending their vote. They’re buying a bunch of markets in states with Republican governors who are up for reelection next year. They’re not buying in the biggest markets. They’re not buying in Los Angeles or New York but they’re buying in places where they will have a political impact.“
Wild Thing’s comment…………….
Obama spends money like no one else ever has, it is fine if it were his money but it is not.
It should be unlawful for the govt. to spend tax $$ on any kind of advertising with the possible exception of military recruiting. I was angry at the time at the US Postal Service for it’s TV ads and sponsorship of the US biking team and Lance Armstrong. USPS was running annual deficits and should not have been advertising. And, of course we all know now about Armstrong’s doping.
