Rick Santorum got testy with reporters following a campaign speech Franksville, Wis. in which he said GOP rival Mitt Romney would be “the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama.”
Surrounded by reporters seeking clarification on that comment after the speech, Santorum said he was only talking about the issue of health care.
“That’s what I was talking about, and I was very clear about talking about that. OK? C’mon guys, don’t do this. I mean you guys are incredible,” Santorum said.
“I was talking about Obamacare, and he is the worst because he was the author of Romneycare,” he added.
But questions on the “worst Republican” statement kept coming as the senator worked the rope line, and Santorum eventually let loose with an expletive.
“Quit distorting our words, it’s bulls—,” Santorum told New York Times reporter Jeff Zeleny. “Come on man, what are you doing?”

Wild Thing’s comment……
Sorry everyone but there is nothing about Santorum that is Presidential. I am not a prude, heck I am married to a Navy Veteran. heh heh But Nick is not running for President and Santorum is and can you imagine Ronald Reagan responding like Santorum has done….no way. Of course Reagan would not have said the stupid comment Santorum said in the first place about voting for Obama.
There’s a difference between Obamacare and Romneycare.
Romney was the governor of a state where he was elected to put state controlled healthcare in place. That’s what the people of Massatwoshits wanted.
Obama was pushed government controlled healthcare against the will of the people.
That’s right Bob. Mandated healthcare or mandated anything similar should be at state level. That includes education, right to work or union, abortion, etc. Some of the mandates that come from the feds are unfunded and that puts a hell of a burden on the states. In many cases state constitutions may prohibit some of the mandates the feds are pushing. What is good for Michigan may not be good for Wyoming. State constitutions are more easily amended than The US Constitution and that is the way it should be.
Thanks Bob and Tom so much.
