At midnight on May 8, 1945, the guns finally fell silent in Europe after more than five-and-a-half years of war, to bring to an end the second cataclysmic conflict to involve the nations of the Continent and their overseas allies in a period of less than a quarter of a century.
Wild Thing’s comment…….
To all those brave men & women who served for our country we thank you.
I am a day late on posting this. Thank you Mark for reminding me. I am so sorry. I remembered yesterday but it was late in the day.
These men and women are never forgotten.

Its not surprising, with what we have in the white house. I don’t even know if the fact that we Won WW 2 is even printed in History books anymore. We are losing these magnificent Veterans daily and soon there will be none. We as their decendants must remind and remember to pass on to future generations what these men stood for and why they did what they did, against all odds and still succeeded. That is the attitude we need to get back, to save this country.
We are still remembering. Last week the remains of another WWII MIA soldier were brought home and he was buried with honor.
Hi WT, guys,
I posted, this also, yesterday with a message remember our mothers but don’t forget the many that were killed or wounded in WWII. Thanks for always remembering and posting. We can not forget.

God bless you all, thank you so much.
