Obama: Gibbs’ $172,200 Salary Is “Relatively Modest Pay”
Barack Obama told reporters yesterday that Press Secretary Robert Gibbs’ $172,200 salary was “relatively modest pay.”
FOX Nation
Perhaps it was the long flight back from Hawaii. But President Obama’s first full day back on the job suggested a slight case of tone deafness.
In bidding a sort-of farewell to White House spokesman Robert Gibbs, he noted the “relatively modest pay” for which Gibbs has labored.
In fact, he earns $172,200 in a nation where the average family income hovers around $55,000, unemployment is high, record foreclosures persist and wages for most folks are at best stagnant.

Wild Thing’s comment……..
What a stupipd thing for Obama to say. To refer to it as “modest pay”, speaks volumes once again about how much obama has no clue how to lead a Nation. To say what Gibbs makes is one thing, we all should be able to know that, that is not the problem. But the WAY Obama stated it, that is a problem he is totally out of touch with America.
It continues to shock me, I just can’t help being shocked, at the careless way Obama and his wife are about their image in their position, the words they use with (his) threats etc. The way they have treated heads of State and the list could go on and on what they have done to disrepect the office Obama holds.
