Wild Thing’s comment…….
To be able to spend Christmas with our troops is one of the most special things a person can experience in their entire life. Thank God for Bob Hope and his sincere love and respect for our troops serving around the world and his visits to them for so many years.
One of the most memoriable things was to sing Silent Night and many times they would join in. This video shows that toward the end of the tape.
Below is a wonderful and fun roast of Bob Hope. I miss these roasts they did, they were always so great.

Thank you Chrissie for joining Bob Hope to entertain the troops (me included)during that harrowing time. Both you and he are truly Great Americans. Love ya and Merry Christmas to you & Nick.
Yes Chrissie, Thank you. I never got to see you or the Bob Hope show, but I got to see some other great entertainers thanks to the USO and the Army. Among others were Martha Raye, Hank Snow, James Garner, Chuck Conners, Miss Texas 1967, Robert Mitchum and some lesser famous but very sincere patriots. These were people who rose above the Hollywood snub of our war and dared to show their appreciation to the American GI. Thanks to all of you brave American entertainers. We vets love you.
I don’t care what you feel about whether we should be there or not. I deal with the fact that they are there, and if they’re there defending their country, then we should be behind them…” Bob Hope- 1966
I don’t know who he was talking to but I glad he did have that attitude
Bob Hope was one of the best this nation ever produced.
If you ever get to the Air Force Museum in Dayton OH, they have a wonderful display honoring Bob Hope right in the center of the first building. They play his shows to the troops and have a wonderful collection of memorabilia, including a lot of the jackets and hats he wore on the trips.
Its a really nice memorial.
Love you all! (((hug)))
TimO, nice to meet you and thank you for sharing about the Air Force Museum in Dayton OH. I really appreciate it.
