Armed Forces Day Today!

.

ARMY, NAVY, AIR FORCE, MARINES, COAST GUARD

We celebrate our Armed Forces, in the work they do, the tasks they accomplish, the hope and freedom they bring to the world, and the outstanding people who comprise our military services.
We at Theodore’s World do this each day but today we make a point to also show added respect as it is Armed Forces Day! Join us in honoring those tremendous individuals: The Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen and Guards Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, National Guard in their efforts to safeguard our freedoms, the world and our future!
Thank you to all the men and women who are serving and to all who actively support them. America has the best military in the world. Our troops have shouldered the burden, paid the price and protected us. They have never let us down. It has been the other way around on occassion. I hope we never let them down again.
And to our Veterans, each one of you at this Blog and beyond, to say Thank YOU! It seems so little for all you all have done. You all live in my heart and thank you for being in my life.
Lord, Please Bless Our Troops, They’re fighting for our Freedom. And to our Wounded Warriors, God Bless them one and all!!
God Bless Our Republic

Thank you Chrissie. You are much loved.

Duty, Honor, Country

May 15….serene, calm, aloof, you stand as the Nation’s war guardians, as its lifeguards from the raging tides of international conflict, as its gladiators in the arena of battle. For a century and a half you have defended, guarded and protected its hallowed traditions of liberty and freedom, of right and justice.
Let civilian voices argue the merits or demerits of our processes of government. Whether our strength is being sapped by deficit financing indulged in too long, by federal paternalism grown too mighty, by power groups grown too arrogant, by politics grown too corrupt, by crime grown too rampant, by morals grown too low, by taxes grown too high, by extremists grown too violent; whether our personal liberties are as firm and complete as they should be.
These great national problems are not for your professional participation or military solution. Your guidepost stands out like a tenfold beacon in the night: Duty, Honor, Country. The above is an excerpt from General Douglas MacArthur’s (1880-1964) speech given to the Corps Cadets at West Point, May 12, 1962.
Today, Armed Forces Day, and every day, my heartfelt thanks to the men and women around the globe who so nobly serve; who wear the uniform proudly and courageously and those who respect Duty, Honor and Country. God Bless You!!!

I salute the men and women of our armed forces. We share a bond that no others can ever possibly understand. We also share a bond with Chrissie who as you know is the biggest supporter of them all. Thanks Chrissie……HOOAH!
Unfortunately for the CinC, we respect him as we respect a dead rat rotting in the messican desert.
