1. They say there’s too much CO2 and we need to reduce it because it is bad for the earth.
2. The way they want to do this is a global tax.
3. CO2 is carbon dioxide that TREES and PLANTS breathe. What happens if you reduce CO2? The trees and plants can’t breathe so they don’t. Then they don’t give us Oxygen and we die. Wake up! At least in the 1980’s they’re were screaming about Carbon MONOxide, which does make a little sense.
4. I think the globalists are just trying to see how stupid people really are.
CO2 = bad, my ass.
From wikipedia to the dumb asses:
Photosynthesis is the conversion of light energy into chemical energy by living organisms. The raw materials are carbon dioxide and water; the energy source is sunlight; and the end-products are oxygen and (energy rich) carbohydrates, for example sucrose, glucose and starch. This process is arguably the most important biochemical pathway,[1] since nearly all life on Earth either directly or indirectly depends on it.

Laundry List of Environmental Crackdowns
Obama to Crush Economy with Massive CO2 Taxes as Early as Next Week
CFP
Abandoning all loyalty to the democratic processes this nation holds dear, Obama has made the decision that getting energy tax legislation through Congress with the approval of the American people is just too much of a pain to bother with.
Instead he will have the EPA declare as early as next week that CO2 is a dangerous global warming gas and will start regulating its emissions immediately.
Obama’s promise to open up vast stretches of ocean on the East Coast and Gulf of Mexico to energy exploration is simply a ruse to soften up the public for soon to be announced draconian regulations.
Similar to how Obama used the $50 million dollar study on healthcare companies competing across state lines to sell ObamaCare as a bipartisan bill, his recent decree allowing energy companies to explore (not drill, not produce energy from … just explore) new stretches of ocean for oil is also meant to be a trivial, yet impressive enough sounding carrot for conservatives right before he stuffs his Marxist trash down their throats.
House Minority Leader John Boehner responded to Obama by saying “At the same time the White House makes today’s announcement, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is plotting a new massive job-killer that the American people can’t afford.”
Every American who doesn’t live in a technology adverse commune in California will now pay even more of their hard earned cash to the federal government for absolutely no good reason.
Put simply, it means $8 for a gallon of gas and 2-3 times higher electricity bills. It also means the loss of millions more sorely needed jobs as businesses are hit with higher operating costs and the transfer of whatever remains of our manufacturing sector to China where energy is cheaper and they aren’t so concerned about CO2.
In the first week alone, American businesses estimated that ObamaCare will cost them $14 billion. By most estimates this latest Obama nightmare will be far more expensive and may literally destroy the economy in less than 20 years.
All because of climate science that has been clearly exposed as inaccurate and untrustworthy. Obama may or may not be a communist plant sent to destroy America, but he sure is acting like one.

From The Morning Bell : Don’t Fall For Obama’s Energy Shell Game
Heritage Foundation
Can the Obama administration’s desperate attempts to cover their true far left nature with centrist rhetoric and promises become any more transparent? Yesterday, the President announced “an expansion of offshore oil and gas exploration” in selected areas off the coasts of the United States. The President claims this announcement was made “in order to sustain economic growth and produce jobs,” but nobody believes him.
Just take a quick look at today’s newspaper reporting:
•The Los Angeles Times: “President Obama … unveiled a controversial offshore drilling plan Wednesday that was driven largely by the politics of his agenda on energy and climate change — not by hopes of changing the nation’s energy supply.”
•The Washington Post: “President Obama’s decision … reflects a high-stakes calculation by the White House: Splitting the difference on the most contentious energy issues could help secure a bipartisan climate deal this year.”
•Politico: “Obama’s decision is closely tied politically to the fate of the climate change bill jointly sponsored by Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), John Kerry (D-MA), and Joe Lieberman (I-CT).”
•The New York Times: “The proposal is also intended to … help win political support for comprehensive energy and climate legislation.”
•Bloomberg: “President Barack Obama’s pledge to expand offshore oil and natural-gas drilling may help Democrats deliver legislation that regulates carbon dioxide emissions before any fuel is produced.”
In fact, if anything, the policies announced by Obama will actually decrease and delay future U.S. oil production.
The President actually canceled four lease sales off the Alaska coast that were planned to begin producing oil within the next two years, delayed a planned lease off Virginia until at least 2012, and placed some areas off limits for at least seven years. Go back and look at President Obama’s actual announcement again: he only promised new exploration off the Atlantic coast. There is absolutely no guarantee that any new drilling will ever occur. Secretary Ken Salazar’s Interior Department still has full discretion to never allow a single drop of oil to be harvested from these waters. And that doesn’t even begin to address the court challenges the enviro-left will employ to attack and delay the entire process.
Obama’s Energy Secretary Steven Chu, who was at yesterday’s announcement, has said, “Somehow we have to figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe.” For reference purposes, when Secretary Chu said that, Europeans were paying $8 a gallon for gas at the pump.
And let’s not forget the grand daddy of them all: a cap and trade energy tax bill. But don’t call it that. Secretary Salazar told CNBC yesterday, “I think the term ‘cap and trade’ is not in the lexicon anymore.” Whatever you call it, placing an arbitrary penalty on carbon emissions would mean disaster for the American economy.

Wild Thing’s comment………
He got away with the stimulus. He got away with the banks and auto industry. He got away with health care. And if they can’t stop him he will get away with this too.
The EPA findings are based on junk science, and the Federal Data Quality Act makes using junk science illegal.
From Findlaw.com
“The DQA applies to all federal agencies that are subject to the PRA. See 67 F.R. at 8453. The PRA defines “agency” as “any executive department, military department, Government corporation, Government controlled corporation, or other establishment in the executive branch of the Government (including the executive office of the President), or any independent regulatory agency . . .”
If the Dictator Obama signs such an order, he IS breaking the law.

Well, I guess my professors were all wrong. Last I heard, phytoplankton (microscopic organisms living on and near the surface of the ocean) suck in huge quantities of carbon dioxide daily and belch out the majority of the oxygen we breathe. Carbon dioxide is also a WEAK greenhouse gas…it’s the stuff spewed from the Earth via vulcanism that make the strong greenhouse gasses (mostly sulfur compounds IIRC). Just another lie to be repeated frequently until the people take it as fact and just accept another power-grab and boot on their neck from D.C.
America basically has one man rule right now. The Emperor obama has a compliant Congress and his shadow govt. of czars granting his every wish. If we continue down this road we will have a socialist govt. controlling every aspect of our daily lives. We will also be a financially bankrupt country.
The sky is falling and islands may capsize. Therefore, you need to pay the government more money. It makes perfect sense.
Wonderful comments thank you all so much.
