A Special Christmas Reunion, 42 Years in the Making …. A MUST SEE VIDEO!
Nick and I watched the entire show on Fox and Friends and it was truly special. It had us both with tears in our eyes, it was so touching. ~ Wild Thing
This video details the unusual reunion of two long-lost Vietnam buddies. The Fox News Channel first interviewed these two infantry squad mates back in October, 2009. However, on the Fox and Friends Christmas Special, something quite unexpected takes place. See what happens to Kenneth Thompson and good buddy Richard Perricone. It took 42 years.
Oh WOW, amazing AMAZING story!!!..I could feel their raw reunion emotion; thanks, Chrissie, for sharing this. We lost a relative in Vietnam from an ambush, so this is particularly poignant. Ken and Richard’s story eneded well…Kudos to Sears! Weren’t they one of the retailers holding employment positions back home for reservists being called up? I think they were…. Christmas in Iraq – I loved these videos. I was just reading yesterday a note from the dad of a military son that the distance of separation on such a family and religious holiday like this poses one of the loneliest days/times for our troops. The more we can give and share during these special American and Christian holidays help our freedom fighters so very much. After reading of the Congressional and POTUS shenanigans this past week it is so very important for us all to let our troops know (and see) that we are doing ALL we can do to hold up that torch of freedom here in the motherland. As simplistic as this sounds we have no choice. We have to fight. They must see that we are marching here for liberty as well. This will tighten our own bond with the military and in some unknown way lessen the distance between us.
Loved it. Wish I had watched the Fox Special. Glad to see the two Vietnam vets reunited. Those Miss Americas seemed to be very elated by their experience. I think that Miss Utah was the Army girl that Chrissie had a couple of posts on when she was in the run for Miss America.
Loved it Chrissie, I can relate to the emotion of being reunited , not as much as Kenneth Thompson and Richard Perricone though, I hadn’t seen my best buddy for 40 years until he, now a Catholic Father, led us in prayer at our 40th reunion in August, I can tell you he was the center of attraction the entire evening. Thank you Sears and thank you to the USO and those performers who sacrifice their Christmas to make the troops feel a touch of home.
Jan, thank you so much. I am so sorry for your loss of a relative in Vietnam.
And thanks for sharing too about the Dad of a son
serving now and how difficult it is during holidays especially.
Tom, your right it was Miss Utah. I was hoping
so much she would win.
Jack, thank you so much wow, for sharing
about the reunion you had. They all are so
meaningful and important. I wish there could
be more of them.
