Shocking Video! AARP Faced With Truth Walks Out of Meeting in Dallas

AARP isn’t comfortable listening to its members, but pretends to represent their interests
AARP Town Hall Meeting on Health Care – Dallas, August 4, 2009

Wild Thing’s comment……..
Obviously Brooks Brothers wearing, republican plants! heh heh God I love these people!
Rush Limbaugh said that Brooks Brothers has been a big backer of Republicans. Yipee.
The AARP representatives did not want to hear from the members at all; in fact, once the members began to ask questions, the meeting was officially shut down. The members, however, continued without them.
Congrats to standing up to AARP!
Ms. AARP switched to schoolmarm mode the minute the “children” started getting uppity. She was a real a BITCH and completely disingenuous.
That 2nd speaker (male, AARP volunteer) shows up the hypocrisy of AARP.
He speaks out against ‘big insurance companies’.
Guess what one of AARP’s major businesses is? Selling insurance policies: auto, health, prescription, etc.
AARP is a fraud and a disgrace. I applaud these admirable citizens for standing up to them!!!
I love the guy toward the end that really gets it!! This is not about health care – this is about FREEDOM! He’s superb.
If the RNC had any brains they would make this into a commercial.

Mark says:

My wife got a letter from AARP, she, we have belonged on and off for a couple of years. But this time I sent a rebuke to their lies about the health care Bill.
It didn’t come out and say Officially that they supported the bill, but the language was in total support of the bill. They tried to debunk the Euthanasia, Health Care Rationing, and the government conciscation of Private assets in personal bank accounts.
If this bozo had read only part of the bill he could plainly see the bill is bad for America. And all what he tried to debunk is in the bill. From losing your current plan to Euthanasia. But they’re a money arm of the DNC and have their scripted agenda to follow. The rats that they are. But when the Seniors risse up then there trouble.

TomR says:

AARP is a magnet between seniors and the Democrat Party. I have been eligible for AARP membership for a number of years. The insurance plans have been tempting, but I have refused to join because AARP has backed every looney anti-gun proposal that has come down the pike. Now I see that AARP is liberal on more issues than just gun control.

BobF says:

That woman from the AARP was sure a bit_h. She got totally upset that those senior citizens was dare question her or even have knowledge on. And then when she waddled out. I hope everyone there does cancel their membership.

Jack says:

AARP is nothing more than a leftist PAC here is their guru.
Take note of the weasels and write it down so there will be no forgiveness come November 2010.

Odin says:

Love it! Thanks WT.

Wild Thing says:

Mark, I know what you mean, they have a way
of wording things,“the language was in total support of the bill”
They are really showing how afraid they are
of Seniors, and Baby boomers in masses coming
of senior citizen age.

Wild Thing says:

Tom, thank you, I didn’t know about the
anti-gun thing with them.
Funny but the main reason I didn’t do
aarp was because they kept pushing too
hard, with their things sent in the mail.
Then I started to learn only a little
about them over time and then more
now with obamacare bill.

Wild Thing says:

BobF., AARP really sent the wrong people
to push their product. hahaa She insulted
the whole audience right off the bat.
What a horrible person she is.

Wild Thing says:

Jack, thank you so much for the link.
Their guru:
“Over the years, Dees has contributed money to the campaigns of a number of political candidates, all of them Democrats and Independents. Among the more notable recipients of his funding were John Edwards, John Kerry, Ralph Nader, Bill Clinton, Tom Harkin, Julian Bond, Ted Kennedy, and Jimmy Carter.”

Wild Thing says:

Hi Odin, thank you.

Eden says:

Wow, the news is really erupting with slanted stories of town hall meetings.
From the few I’ve read just in the last 30 min. the news stories are slanted to make it sound like the Dem talking points, but the replies to the stories by people who were at the events are totally different.
One commonality is that people are shut out of the meetings because they are “full” yet SEIU and ACORN (they wear shirts marking them as such) are let in after others are told there is no room.
This isn’t going to be pretty.

Eden says:

Also, about AARP. I think they were created to sell insurance. I’ve seen people post that their medicare sup actually is higher than others you can buy.
They don’t give a rats ass about seniors. It’s all about the money and selling insurance.

Glenn Cassel AMH1(AW) USN RET says:

I am a member of AARP. I joined when I was working for a railroad contractor, for the motel discounts. Even though I was getting a very good per diem rate, every little bit helps, especially in high cost areas.
But I do not support anything else that the AARP sells, endorses or supports. For crying out loud, they want to take my guns away, just like the “won” does.

Rhod says:

AARP lost me when I turned 56, after a year of getting Modern Maturity magazine. Was that its name? That was seven years ago.
The magazine format usually showed two types of oldsters…the tanned, chubby fool on the golf course dressed in rainbox colors, and frightened old women staring at bill statements and sick pets.
Any organization that needs to present these stereotypes to makes its case is just a branch of government, and just as parasitic.

cuchieddie (Obama Hater) says:

AARP would be wise not to solicit me. Need I say more?
