Awwwww!! How sweet is that.
Nice.
Had an elephant, Annabelle, in the Anchorage zoo, she was the solo resident there for years and her shelter was just a leanto with a rope arena, it was bitter cold at times. We always spent time there in the winter and always brought her an apple which she would ‘steal’ from your coat pocket, 18 years later she had a heated shelter, caged corral and another elephant for company. People that brought peanuts for her she would tease, take the peanuts and store them in her leanto, never eat them in public, apples were special she just loved them. She always recognized those who had treated her well and made other visitors nervous when she snuggled up to some of us and trumpeted at others. She’s gone. http://www.fondationbrigittebardot.fr/site/actu_en.php?id=75026&IdCat=
