Obama Mouthing Off Gets Response From Rush Limbaugh

Limbaugh Responds to Obama
National Review
by Bryon York
According to an account in the New York Post, President Barack Obama yesterday told Republican leaders, “You can’t just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done.” With George W. Bush now off the stage, it may be that Obama and some of his fellow Democrats view Limbaugh, and not John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, or any other elected official, as the true leader of the Republican opposition. This morning I asked Rush for his thoughts on all this, and here is his response:

.

There are two things going on here. One prong of the Great Unifier’s plan is to isolate elected Republicans from their voters and supporters by making the argument about me and not about his plan. He is hoping that these Republicans will also publicly denounce me and thus marginalize me. And who knows? Are ideological and philosophical ties enough to keep the GOP loyal to their voters? Meanwhile, the effort to foist all blame for this mess on the private sector continues unabated when most of the blame for this current debacle can be laid at the feet of the Congress and a couple of former presidents. And there is a strategic reason for this.

Secondly, here is a combo quote from the meeting:

“If we don’t get this done we (the Democrats) could lose seats and I could lose re-election. But we can’t let people like Rush Limbaugh stall this. That’s how things don’t get done in this town.”

To make the argument about me instead of his plan makes sense from his perspective. Obama’s plan would buy votes for the Democrat Party, in the same way FDR’s New Deal established majority power for 50 years of Democrat rule, and it would also simultaneously seriously damage any hope of future tax cuts. It would allow a majority of American voters to guarantee no taxes for themselves going forward. It would burden the private sector and put the public sector in permanent and firm control of the economy. Put simply, I believe his stimulus is aimed at re-establishing “eternal” power for the Democrat Party rather than stimulating the economy because anyone with a brain knows this is NOT how you stimulate the economy. If I can be made to serve as a distraction, then there is that much less time debating the merits of this TRILLION dollar debacle.
Obama was angry that Merrill Lynch used $1.2 million of TARP money to remodel an executive suite. Excuse me, but didn’t Merrill have to hire a decorator and contractor? Didn’t they have to buy the new furnishings? What’s the difference in that and Merrill loaning that money to a decorator, contractor and goods supplier to remodel Warren Buffet’s office? Either way, stimulus in the private sector occurs. Are we really at the point where the bad PR of Merrill getting a redecorated office in the process is reason to smear them? How much money will the Obamas spend redecorating the White House residence? Whose money will be spent? I have no problem with the Obamas redoing the place. It is tradition. 600 private jets flown by rich Democrats flew into the Inauguration. That’s fine but the auto execs using theirs is a crime? In both instances, the people on those jets arrived in Washington wanting something from Washington, not just good will.
If I can be made to serve as a distraction, then there is that much less time debating the merits of the trillion dollar debacle.
One more thing, Byron. Your publication and website have documented Obama’s ties to the teachings of Saul Alinksy while he was community organizing in Chicago. Here is Rule 13 of Alinksy’s Rules for Radicals:

“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

Wild Thing’s comment………
LOL I love it, Obama gets slapped by Limbaugh. Great response! The Alinsky call-out is brilliant! Obama was bringing a pea shooter to gun fight….so to speak. LMAO
The fact that Obama even brought up Rush’s name shows how stupid he is. Doesn’t he remember when Harry Reid tried to pull a similar stunt? It didn’t turn out too well for Harry Reid. Obama is a thinned skinned wimp worried more about his faux image than doing the job the brain dead idiots elected him to do.

JohnE PFC U.S. Army says:

One of the MANY things I love about Rush is that the libs are DEATHY AFRAID of him. The libs are actually so powerless in this Country it’s not even funny but they try to convice people that they are the almighty. I’m calling the bluff of the left in this propaganda war, the only thing is I think they really are just bluffing. When they are shown for what they trully are they will be finished and we’ll bring America back to her Rightful Glory. Probably won’t take that long either.

Mark says:

This is the first salvo of the new war against conservatives. They will push the Fairness doctrine through as quickly as they can. They see it as a matter of survival by shutting down Rush.
The two party system and its two ways of getting votes. The democrats buy them whereas the Republican’s have to earn them. Governor Blago, is a disgrace to the democrats only because he got caught buying and selling party politics. He has really exposed what the essence of the democrat party is all about, greed, corruption and control of liberty.
And now Blago won’t go away. He’s fighting back against the system that created him. Obama not wanting to be caught in that mess will do his best to get rid of all obsticles that could create this debacle for his administration. Rush seems to be the primary target.
Even with the fariness doctrine, Rush isn’t going away. Look out barry, here comes another one.

Ted says:

WTF, at least El Rushbo is constitutionally qualified to be President!

darthcrUSAderworldtour07 says:

THEY want to gag Maja Rushy, Glenn Beck and Michael Savage on the airways because THEY can’t handle the TRUTH… GOD bless Team Theodore in our WAR on evil, home and abroad!

joel says:

Obama’s statement was that of a coward, since when is the office of the president used for attacks on private citizens. So many mistakes in so short of time. In the words of a real hero, “BRACE FOR HARD IMPACT”.

TomR says:

Good comeback by Rush. Obama is not good at ad libbing or reasoning. That is because he is basically a liar. He needs teleprompters, advisors and rhetoric to speak to the public. Whenever he makes an off the cuff statement he screws up.

Les says:

Barack Obama and the Dems can’t stand the bright lights of conservative truth shining on them. That is why they are still attacking Sarah Palin personally and now the thin-skinned President attacked Rush Limbaugh. My money is on Rush beating the crap out of BHO issue by issue.

Mark says:

The thing about Rush, he won’t be intimidated. That Barry, or the democrats in general, can’t handle. They don’t know how to deal with someone who fights back. So they will call him names and try to censor him but he will get through. Rush is legitimate and worked for everything he has he got no handouts from anybody and owes nobody anything and has the resources to back him up.

Wild Thing says:

JohnE PFC U.S. Army,I agree, I think they are afraid of him too.
They really cannot stand the truth, they hate anyone that reminds them of how wrong they are, how many mistakes they have made and by someone that is very credible.
Someone said once the reason the left loved Bill Clinton was because he was like they were with his being a liar, cheater, criminal activity and his draft dodger he was, many other things too that made them comfortable with his not being a man of honor.
Limbaugh points that kind of thing out and the left goes nuts-oh. hahha

Wild Thing says:

Mark, that is so true, it piles on them with Blago, and Rush out there and that non tax payer too, Greithner, I forget how to spell his name.
LOVE this….. “Look out barry, here comes another one.”

Wild Thing says:

Ted, good point, he sure is.
“El Rushbo is constitutionally qualified to be President”

Wild Thing says:

Darth, yes, and Obama better keep his mitts off, his clamy, commie mitts.

Wild Thing says:

Joel, thank you for saying that, good point. That is exactly what it is.
“office of the president used for attacks on private citizens”

Wild Thing says:

Tom, ditto all of this about Obama, he really is like this.
“He needs teleprompters, advisors and rhetoric to speak to the public. Whenever he makes an off the cuff statement he screws up.”

Wild Thing says:

Les, your right, that is also why they have yet to let up on Sarah Palin. It just eats them alive to know Sarah or Rush Limabugh even have a voice and people care about them and agree with them.

Wild Thing says:

Mark, I wish Rush could see your comment and all the others on here. I know he knows he has support but sometimes it does give an added edge like a pat on the back kind of thing.
Well said thank you Mark, I agree and I love how he won’t be intimidated.
