An Interview of Sarah Palin’s Brother

Sarah Palin’s Brother Tells All About Her In Exclusive Interview

Wild Thing’s comment………
Great interview by her brother. Sounds like a nice guy. I really like these people.

Mark says:

Imagine that a candidate coming in from the wilderness to run for the Vice-presidency. How could McCain do such a person…I mean the next thing you know the press will be telling us that she had to split rails for fencing, afterall the family lived in a log cabin.
But if memory serves me, I remember reading about a similar candidate, who was virtually self-educated, came from the frontier, and didn’t really fit in with the Washington elite, and became president.
But there are certain Republican elites out there , George ‘Super-nerd’ Will and Peggy Noonan, who seem to think Sarah Palin doesn’t fit their mold. To be President if called upon to do so.
I guess Lincoln wouldn’t have fit into their mold either.

TomR says:

Nothing elitist about the Palin family. They are so Middle America. I would feel right at home having dinner with them. Can’t visualize doing that with the Obamas.

Jack says:

Thanks Chrissie, wonderful human event story, I like him too. BTW if I were a betting man I’d bet that picture above is Lake Wasilla. If so I’ve spent entire days on it ice fishing at -36F with a flask of Snappes inside my parka next to the skin, nothing like a warm toddy on a cold day.:) Mark and Tom, that’s the way real Alaskan’s are, forthright, honest, independent and you had better stop and say hello. If you do, plan on staying a bit. The best New Years in my memory was at Hatcher Pass near Wasilla, the upper lodge was mostly used by the elite skiiers, the lower lodge was frequented by snow machiner’s and skiiers alike, a blue collar place. At days end most would leave for home, because the Mercury would literally freeze, not us, we winter camped at -40 to -45, ran the trails in the moonlight and yes we drank. New Years Eve we ended up in the lodge, the proprietors put on a huge pot of beans, opened their home to us, some 20 ruffians, we brought our own booze(we’d drank all the lodge had) and snacks, it was shared by all to the sound of a rinky tink Honky Tonk piano and some of most out of tune singing ever, total strangers for the most part but united as one family to usher in the new year. Since moving back I miss that openness in people. You have it here Chrissie. Thanks for your hospitality.

Wild Thing says:

Mark, good one, your right too, no way would they have liked Lincoln either. Someone should say what you wrote to their faces and on TV for all to see too.

Wild Thing says:

Tom, I know what you mean, it would be so natual.

Wild Thing says:

Jack, yes that is it, how neat that you have been there.
Oh your welcome Jack, that means a lot to me. I wanted so much for my little blog to be like a bunch of friends popping in and sitting around talking and sharing.
Thank you for sharing about New Years too.
