Senator Quisling Harry Reid: No votes Friday night to avoid ‘excuses’

Reid: No votes Friday night to avoid ‘excuses’
Las Vegas Sun
Washington
It won’t be votes in the Senate that keep Republican presidential candidate John McCain away from Friday night’s debate.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said today :

he would not be scheduling any votes to “make sure there’s no excuses to not go forward with the debate.”

“If ever there was a time in the history of our country … American people need to hear this.”

Republican National Committee spokesman Bill Riggs said:

“It’s clear that Harry Reid and Barack Obama would rather score cheap political points with Washington parlor games than do the business of the American people and find bipartisan solutions.”

Wild Thing’s comment…………..
Mccain and the Republicans care about the Country…the Dems and Obama care about is winning the election.
Harry Reid and his ilk would burn the country to the ground for a chance to score a political point.
After this poor excuse for humanity said that we have lost in Iraq, with our soldiers in harms way, he might as well have a stamp on his forehead makring him as a TRAITOR !

Marvin says:

Dear Senator Reid
If you want Senators McCain and Obama to debate Friday night,
let them debate the financial situation on the Senate floor.
Also, here is a clue, Senators are supposed to participate in writing of our laws, Senators are not just to vote on them.
McCain and Obama and Biden should all be working with the other 97 Senators and the 435 Representatives to resolve this ‘crisis’.
Thank You,
A Concerned US Citizen

Marvin says:

Correction:
Let them debate in front of a joint session of Congress, on the floor of the US House of Representatives.

yatalli says:

Exactly what is it that Uncle Harry wants the American people to hear? Or not to hear? Two senators posturing or the 98 working to fleece the American taxpayer? Me? I am watching the 533 precisely because I don’t trust them.

TomR says:

So an election debate is more important to Reid than the economic welfare of the country. What a little man he has proven to be over and over. He must think that Obama is going to out debate McCain. I don’t think the Dems are going to really get any useful political mileage out of this sly action.

Jack says:

This morning it’s McCain’s fault the talks failed, Dingy Harry didn’t name him outright but made every effort to put the blame on the man who showed up after Harry’s cabal fell apart. What a petty excuse for a human being, it was the Democrats and their buying the votes and lining their pockets that got us in this mess and now they want to deny complicity and legislate a cover-up. Imagine this, without the internet, these thieves would have had this unconstitutional abuse of power passed, their asses covered and we’d be none the wiser. If the global investors are truly concerned about our economy where is their restraint? Don’t forget the root cause of most of this has been the high cost of energy that has pushed marginal home owners into foreclosure. OPEC, Iran and Putin all had a role to play in damaging the economy, of greater damage has been the Democrats obstruction of anything that ensures a stable energy policy or an investment in our industrial base. Like in 1929, speculation and money manipulation has brought the house down around them. The weasel of global depression is in the chicken coop and they are squawking and shitting all over themselves.

Mark says:

I heard that Jack, that Reid said it was McCains fault the the deal fell through yesterday. HMmm…the left wing has control of the Senate, and they have control of the House at any time they could vote on this and have a done deal. Providing of course, there were 10 rinos to go along with it.
From where I stand Harry Reid is a liar, or it wasn’t much of a deal in the first place if a mere single Republican can put the kybosh on it. Just by his mere presence. This is politics as usual. the democrat version of partisianship is when the Republican agree to get screwed by the democrats even though they know better.

Wild Thing says:

Hi Marvin, good one and I love your idea too of where they should debate.

Wild Thing says:

yatalli, yes, I am not sure Reid even knows except he does not want any of us to know the truth.

Wild Thing says:

Tom, I bet that is what he is thinking too, how wonderful Obama will be and people might even faint in the audience. heh heh

Wild Thing says:

Jack, exactly!!!! I have learned sooooo much just being able to go to places online and read about things. We would have ended up hearing about this on TV news with all it’s slant.
“Imagine this, without the internet, these thieves would have had this unconstitutional abuse of power passed, their asses covered and we’d be none the wiser.”

Wild Thing says:

Mark, sooo true.
