McCain, Palin Fire Up Cedarburg, Wisconsin

.

Note the sign that says…… Read my Lipstick!
LOL

Here is a local news report on the rally held by John McCain and Sarah Palin in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, September 5, 2008.
The reporter says State Troopers estimate that a crowd of 20,000-30,0000 turned out to greet them, far more than the expected .

This video has me crying. Remember how Obama had that rock group play before he spoke .They were a socialist communist rock group and played anti-government songs.
Here in this video is what America is to me. The National Anthem and people loving Americia with all their hearts and wanting the best for our country. — Wild Thing

McCain, Palin fire up Cedarburg crowd Cedarburg – At a packed street rally here this morning, Republican John McCain used his first post-convention stop to promise a war on special-interest influence and excessive partisanship in Washington, D.C.
“We’re going to start to work for the people of this country,” McCain shouted. “It’s over for the special interests. It’s over!”
The Arizona senator joined Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, his vice presidential pick, in front of an ice cream shop on a well-preserved main street the city says is virtually unchanged since 1900.
Without mentioning specifics in a brief address downtown, McCain said the duo would visit small towns across America to talk about real change.
Palin drew the loudest cheers and chants of “Sarah! Sarah! Sarah!” Both repeated popular lines from their convention speeches.

Lynn says:

I hope they come to Omaha! My daughters want to meet them–Elly is in love with Sarah and my little Rerun keeps going “John McCain-oh yeah!” and pumping her little arms in the air for “raise the roof!”
I think it’s a great ticket and has done damage to the Obamanation camp. She’s a sly fox. She shows us girls that we CAN have it all–great family, great job and STILL be a woman.
Cedarburg is a great town. I have step family in Ellsworth, River Falls, Rice Lake and Columbus.

Mark says:

Great post Lynn.
Didn’t Ho Chi-bama &Ilk say, and often that the American dream is dead unless they can fix it?
Looking at the history of Sarah Palin, at first a Mother who was concerned with her childrens education, gets involved with the PTA. (by the way her husband Todd said, had he known it would lead to this he would have asked her more questions about this).
But she kept at it. And now she is running for Vice President of the United States. Isn’t she the essence of the American Dream. In other words she worked hard to achieve her goal, she saw a problem and worked hard to change and fix it.
With the choices of Lieberman, Ridge, and Pawlenty looming before the convention, it seemed almost inevitable we would have another boring ticket of Stodgy old men running for office. Always so serious, and condescending.
But now we have a ticket with energy, excitement and character. I think we really struck gold on this one. The good news is she will be around for a long time and Bobby Jindal is right around the corner.
Our dour opponent, has stodgy, no energy and excrement to offer. What a choice. They are always talking ‘choice’ well America here it is is dire contrast to one another.

My spirits have risen enormagantually!!
I really thought that Obama was a warning from God who loves this country – (how else could we have beaten the British, an almost certain impossibility)- FOR US TO WAKE UP. But because God loves this country, we were also given a choice. It’s just up to us to take heed.
The more the media vultures take below the belt shots and Obama whines, I know we’re heading in the right direction. What a difference a day makes!!!
We so need to keep on our elected critters butts though, no matter who is in the White House. Too many deep pockets there in the swamp, for far too long.

BobF says:

I bet they didn’t have some big name band or entertainer beforehand to ensure a big crowd gathered.
BTW, I was shocked to read that Toby Keith was supporting Obama. Once that gets well known, you can watch the sales of Ford Trucks hit bottom.

TomR says:

Small town and small city America. They are often mentioned by politicians, but usually ignored. Now 20,000 to 30,000 folks crowd a small town Main Street to hear true conservative speech. Everything about this election has taken a good right hand turn since McCain picked Palin. Even McCain talks a better talk, more conservative.
The values that have carried America to greatness, prosperity and respect for over 200 years are now being raised again, instead of being ridiculed. Obama took an ultraliberal, Washington insider, vainity based approach to the election and now that is being shoved up his arse.
I think we have the Reagan Democrats back in force in the conservative movement.

Les says:

McCain and Palin have the country’s attention and now need to exploit that opportunity with real approach’s to dealing with the economy, jobs, energy, housing, health care, etc. contrasting them with the unaffordable and unworkable promises, promises, and more promises of someone with a solid record of no achievements and not fixing anything.

Wild Thing says:

Lynn, that would be so fantastic. I love it Lynn.

Wild Thing says:

Mark, yes I agree so much and the contrast is huge like night and day.

Wild Thing says:

Yankeemom, …..”What a difference a day makes!!!”……that is so true. Oh my gosh ever since that Friday when McCain said Palin would be his pick, everything has changed sooo much.

Wild Thing says:

BobF, yes I am so disappointed in Toby Keith.

Wild Thing says:

Tom….” Even McCain talks a better talk, more conservative.”….yes I have been noticing that too.

Wild Thing says:

Les, I agree, whew a difference we have in how Obama and Biden are and Palin especially.

gail says:

I love this country and if the people who tossed
those flags away loved it, What a greater country
we would be! Shame on them. I would hate to see
what kind of country they would have. I pray for
them because they are not patriotic and it shows by (BO)Hussein & his wife Michelle who wasnt proud
of her country until a few months ago, him not placing his hand over his heart or wearing a flag until he realized people didnt like that and their minister Rev Wright and his dam America speech, his willingness to talk to our enemies in
other countries (Muslims) that hate us! How much
more do we have to find out about him? Lets all
pray daily……
