Pat Buchanan Response To Obama Saying Need For Conversation About Race

A Brief for Whitey
by Pat Buchanan
Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America.
Fair enough but this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.
This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:
First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known.
Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.
Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ’60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream.
Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks — with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas — to advance black applicants over white applicants.
Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.
We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude?
Barack talks about new ‘ladders of opportunity’ for blacks.
Let him go to Altoona and Johnstown , and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for ‘deserving’ white kids.
Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America? Is it really white America’s fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?
Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?
As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?
Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?
We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena. And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.
Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago.

Wild Thing’s comment……..
If someone had told me before this election that we would one day have an election for President of the United States of America where either of the candidates would turn the campaign into anything to do with race. I would probably have laughed. No way would have been my reply, why would anyone do such a thing.
I would have thought instantly of only the likes of Farrakhan and his followers and my mind would not have been able to imagine such a person even being in our government. Way too radical and way to filled with hate.
But alas I was dead wrong. And the thing is this Obama and his wife wear their racism like a garment as normal to them as breathing air.
I honestly believe if we think we have seen the most of this kind of attitude and behavior from them we are only on the edge of their madness. There is more to come and if he gets the power of being President, that madness, and hate will magnify.

….Thank you Mark for sending this.

Will this be an unfair and unbalanced politically correct apologist deal with moderator’s Katie Couric and Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson and Jeremiah Wright and Fr. Pfleger on the panel?

Jack says:

I have to give Pat credit for having the guts to speak the truth and not play the PC game.
I see the same problem with Obama followers as I see in the Gaza Arabs, it doesn’t matter what concessions, grants or social-economic uplifts that are given, they’ll not be content until the system and the nation is destroyed. There is an adage that ‘your are either part of the problem or part of the solution’, seems they are the problem. It’s time for them to assimilate and long past time for Congress to stop granting special favors to curry their vote.
Think about what Robert Mugabe has given his black constituency, his mode of operation and his methods. Once in power all pretense of nicety disappears, there are far too many question about Obama’s character that are unanswered.
Obama doesn’t wear a backassward collar and pretend to be a man of the cloth but he is far more dangerous than the pretenders, Sharpton, Jackson and Farrakhan who hide their far left ideals under the cloak of religion, Obama hides his religion and flaunts his far left ideology.

TomR says:

Buchanan has stated the facts very simply and correctly. Jack is correct that most Black leadership will never be thankful or content with the concessions made nor will they ever own up to their own failures and responsibility for the Black community’s gross failures.
Obama’s presidential run is opening the door wide on the subject of race. The outcome could be either good or bad. I am not taking bets.

Wild Thing says:

Darth, LOL yes that would make it a total waste of time for sure.

Wild Thing says:

Jack I agree, Obama is solid danger to our country on all levels.

Wild Thing says:

Tom,I wouldn’t take bets on it either. Too many things on it going either way involved.

Les says:

Pat Buchanan hit the nail on the head with this conversation about race in America crap. The fact of the matter is that blacks who were the victims of enormous racism haven’t learned a thing and now, as a group, are the biggest and most destructive racists in the country.
Barack Hussein Obama has from the very beginning centered his candidacy on race and racism. So, ironically enough, the election may not be decided on the economy, war in Iraq, health care, jobs, price of oil, energy, and other bread and butter issues, but on whether the country wants a functional racist in the White House.

It is sad how far the country has fallen.

Matt says:

Pat Buchanan’s new book makes some great points but falls apart when he spins he tries to spin his anti semitism in to something he thinks people can digest. He poises him self in a position where you have to agree with him, but then drops a bomb in your lap. Nice tactics, but none the less futile. I suggest reading this book review on his new book.

Pat Buchanan will be my guest on News Talk Online on Paltalk.com Wed June 18 at 5 PM New York time.
