The New York Times’s new publisher, Arthur “Pinch” Sulzberger Jr … was a sixties anti-war activist who famously declared that in a confrontation between an American and a North Vietnamese soldier he’d want to see the American get shot.”
Pinched Loaf Sulzberger isn’t unusual in New York City. He is, in fact, typical of the upper-class penthouse rats in the area (I have customers among them here in Connecticut…those with second and third homes). Howard Dean is one of them, too.
The irony of this is that, when the next terrorist calamity happens, it will most likely be in New York City. Tough. Go talk to Pinch Loaf, if he isn’t cooking in the soup himself.
We need to recall that much of the German “intellectual” class was kissing Hitler’s ass when they couldn’t bend low enough to reach his feet. Things don’t change very much.
