The headlines scream out…..
U.S. Troops Burned Taliban Bodies
“Under the Geneva Conventions, soldiers must ensure that the “dead are honorably interred, if possible according to the rites of the religion to which they belonged.”
Furthermore, the rules state that bodies should not be cremated, “except for imperative reasons of hygiene or for motives based on the religion of the deceased.”
If you read the article you will see where it says….”The soldiers who burned the bodies said they did so for hygiene reasons.” The Taliban soldiers had been dead for over 24 hours and were begining to become a concern.
And who the heck is Stephen Dupont?
His portfolio or shall we say what it REALLY is…..his AGENDA…. shows us: Children of the Wall in Palestine – boxers in Cuba – Inside Jihad – The Lions Last Roar in Afghanistan.
Please read what Jason Coleman and Dan Riehl have to say. Jason and Dan did an awesome job of research on this.
Wild Thing comment….
I remember when our soldiers were burned in a destroyed vehicle. Then dragged through the streets, dismembered, disemboweled and strung up on a bridge as trophes. And you can read this too from 2004, where they frenzied crowds dragged the burned, mutilated bodies of four American contractors through the streets of a town west of Baghdad on Wednesday and strung two of them up from a bridge after rebels ambushed their SUVs.
Well??? How soon people forget these horrors! And there was NO media outrage at this, but you can bet there will be about our soldiers buring dead bodies of Taliban. Sheesh!
And how many innocent people were burned to death on Sept.11,2001 because of Osama and the Taliban.
As for me I have had it with these agenda seekers and their attempts at attacking our troops. Have we lost our minds to political correctness? We’re fighting a war. Why would we care what Islamic scum think about desecration of DEAD Taliban, when they behead LIVE people? I guess the video of Muslims sawing the head off a live American civilian wasn’t worse? I have had about e-freakin’-nuff! Get the reporters off the front line. We don’t have to see every single thing that occurs in theatre. Enough. The enemy can burn and behead and dangle and dismember and there’s no outcry. Keep the press away and let our troops fight this war like they know how! It is a fact that the Taliban, when they ran Afghanistan, massacred Afghans and skinned their victims …. alive.
I for one, am very sick and tired of hearing ‘we are better, we don’t do that, we are above that’.
So, go ahead and try to impress the world that WE are ‘above that’ and see where we end up. I can tell you where we end up. A woman’s panties placed on the head of a killer is more horrible than a beheading and is grounds for years in prison!!!!!! How insane is that? Our military are ham-strung, no beheading allowed. We are being sooooo ‘above’ the killers that we will all be dead when they say we are so above the terrorists.
Also our soldiers who were killed in Somalia and their bodies were dragged through the streets. Of course our MSM had to show that but didn’t condemn the killers.
Why is it we never hear of any soldiers who were captured at the beginning of the invasion of Iraq? I’m not sure of the others but the Kansas City news has mentioned one local soldier who was captured and then executed.
When our soldiers are tortured and executed, nobody says a thing but let an American soldier mishandle a Koran and the MSM and Democratic leadership is in an uproar and are calling for an investigation. A young American female is photographed laughing at an Iraqi males’ private parts and she’s Courts Martial but nothing is ever said about how much information or how many lives were saved because that humiliated terrorist decided to talk.
I don’t condone what they did at Abu Ghraib but there is a world of difference between what they did and the real torture our POW’s went through in Vietnam and Korea.
You’re absolutely right and well said!
Second installment up, solidifying that nothing “wrong” happened using Dupont’s own words.
