Gorgeous Melania Trump First Lady of the United States

Gorgeous Melania Trump First Lady of the United States

First Lady of the United States Melania Trump is the wife of President Donald J. Trump and the mother of Barron Trump. She is the second First Lady born outside of the United States, and she is the only First Lady to become a naturalized U.S. citizen. And like the First Ladies before her, Melania Trump will make her mark on history.

Melania Trump is a Slovenian-American former fashion model and tis our beloved First Lady of the United States, as the wife of the 45th president of the United States Donald Trump.

Melanija Knavs was born in Novo Mesto, and grew up in Sevnica, in the Yugoslav republic of Slovenia.

elania Trump was born on April 26, 1970 in Slovenia. At age 16, she began what would soon become a highly successful modeling career, appearing in many high profile ad campaigns and working with some of the best photographers in the fashion industry.

In 1996, Mrs. Trump moved to New York and ten years later, she proudly became a United States Citizen. Mrs. Trump has always been an active member of her community. In 2005, she was Honorary Chairwoman for the Martha Graham Dance Company. That same year, she was awarded Goodwill Ambassador by the American Red Cross—a role she served in for four years. Mrs. Trump served five years as Honorary Chairwoman for the Boys’ Club of New York and was named Woman of the Year in 2006 by the Police Athletic League. Mrs. Trump has participated in National Love Our Children Day and National Child Abuse Prevention month, ringing the closing bell at NASDAQ.

In 2010, Mrs. Trump was the Chairwoman for the American Heart Association, which raised $1.7 million for research. That same year she launched her own jewelry collection.

While Melania Trump became a household name in modeling and a contributing member of her community, she is first and foremost a mother and wife, and in 2017, Melania Trump made the White House and Washington home for her family.

In her role as First Lady, Mrs. Trump focuses her time on the many issues affecting children. An unwavering characteristic of the First Lady is her aptitude for showing love and compassion in all that she does. Mrs. Trump spends much of her time meeting with children who are patients at hospitals and care centers. Recently, she took valentines to the Children’s Inn at the National Institutes of Health and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Over the Easter holiday, she made a surprise visit to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Palm Beach, Florida, bringing Easter baskets to the children. Following the devastating hurricanes last year, Mrs. Trump visited Texas to meet with families that suffered greatly under Hurricane Harvey. In the wake of two horrendous mass shootings, Mrs. Trump traveled with her husband to Las Vegas and Parkland to be with the victims and families in their times of need. Internationally, Mrs. Trump has visited several hospitals and schools. One of her most memorable visits being at the Pediatric Hospital Bambino Gesu in the Vatican City, where she met a boy who had been waiting for a new heart. Upon arrival in Belgium the following day, Mrs. Trump learned that the hospital had found a transplant for the boy–Mrs. Trump celebrated the news in a press statement and said “my own heart is filled with joy over the news.”

As First Lady, Mrs. Trump has made multiple visits to schools—both foreign and domestic. From participating in a Viking huddle class, which focuses on emotional learning at Orchard Lake Middle School in Michigan, to taking the Queen of Jordan to Washington, D.C.’s first public charter school for girls at Excel Academy in Southeast, Mrs. Trump is always bringing children to the forefront of her agenda. While traveling abroad, Mrs. Trump visited the American International School in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with Education Minister Ahmed Al Eissa, and took a calligraphy lesson with local children at Kyobashi Tsukiji Elementary School with Mrs. Abe while visiting Japan. Earlier this spring, Mrs. Trump invited a group of local students to the White House so she could talk with them, hear their stories, and understand the issues they are challenged with today. Mrs. Trump addresses those issues each opportunity she gets. From Governors’ spouses’ luncheons to the United Nations General Assembly, Mrs. Trump puts the emphasis on children and how we can protect them, teach them, and empower them.

In the midst of the opioid epidemic, Mrs. Trump has utilized her platform as First Lady to raise awareness about the dangers of opioid abuse—notably the devastating effects it has on infants and unborn babies. Mrs. Trump traveled to Huntington, West Virginia, where she visited Lily’s Place, the Nation’s first nonprofit infant recovery center that prioritizes the whole family to ensure infants born dependent on drugs are given the best opportunity to thrive. More recently, in February, Mrs. Trump traveled to Ohio to visit Cincinnati Children’s, a leading pediatric hospital where she learned more about the ongoing research around neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS)—a harmful result of drug abuse in pregnant mothers. Mrs. Trump has participated in multiple opioid summits and continues to work with the Administration on raising the awareness of opioid abuse and how we can better protect children from it.

On May 7, Mrs. Trump launched BE BEST—an awareness campaign focused entirely around the well-being of children. The campaign has three pillars, which represent key areas of concern for Mrs. Trump: well-being, which includes the social and emotional health of children; social media, and understanding both the positive and negative effects it has on our children; and opioid abuse, and how to protect our most vulnerable from the effects of drug abuse while educating parents about the detrimental effects of opioids.

After the launch, the First Lady is dedicated to carrying out her BE BEST campaign.

For the state dinner at Buckingham Palace, the former model went custom — she chose an ivory haute couture Dior gown with sheer detailing at the top, which she wore with gloves and ivory suede Manolo Blahnik shoes.

June 3, 2019 In an outfit that’s being likened to one seen in the movie My Fair Lady, the first lady stepped out in London in a crisp white and navy belted Dolce & Gabbana suit and matching hat by Herve Pierre.

A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera - Fall On Me

A Great Big World & Christina Aguilera - Fall On Me

Fall on Me
Christina Aguilera
[Verse 1: A Great Big World]
Sooner or later the lights up above
Will come down in circles and guide me to love
I don't know what's right for me
I cannot see straight
I've been here too long and I don't wanna wait for it

[Verse 2: A Great Big World]
Fly like a cannonball straight to my soul
Tear me to pieces and make me feel whole
I'm willing to fight for it
To feel something new
To know what it's like to be sharing a space with you

[Chorus: A Great Big World]
Fall on me
With open arms
Fall on me
From where you are
Fall on me
With all your light
With all your light
With all your light

[Verse 3: Christina Aguilera]
Sooner or later, it all comes apart
The walls are all shattered, I'm back at the start
And I'm willing to follow this
Wherever it goes
The heart has its reasons that nobody knows

[Verse 4: Christina Aguilera]
And I wanna believe in a world we can't see
Millions of particles passing through me
And I know there's a meaning
I feel it, I swear
I can't see the future, but I know that it's there

[Chorus: Christina Aguilera with A Great Big World]
Fall on me
With open arms
Fall on me
From where you are
Fall on me
With all your light
With all your light
With all your light
With all your light

[Bridge: Christina Aguilera & A Great Big World]
I close my eyes
And I'm seeing you everywhere
I step outside
It's like I'm breathing you in the air
I can feel you're there

[Chorus: Christina Aguilera & A Great Big World]
Fall on me
With open arms
Fall on me
From where you are
Fall on me
With all your light
With all your light
With all your light

Made for each other 1939 Film Colorized

Made for each other 1939 Film Colorized

John Mason (James Stewart) is a young, somewhat timid attorney in New York City. He has been doing his job well, and he has a chance of being made a partner in his law firm, especially if he marries Eunice (Ruth Weston), the daughter of his employer, Judge Doolittle. However, John meets Jane (Carole Lombard) during a business trip, and they fall in love and marry immediately. Eunice eventually marries another lawyer in the firm, Carter (Donald Briggs). John's mother (Lucile Watson) is disappointed with his choice, and an important court trial forces him to cancel the honeymoon. He wins the case, but by that time Judge Doolittle has chosen John's kowtowing coworker Carter as the new partner.

Jane encourages John to demand a raise and a promotion, but with finances tightened by the Depression, Doolittle requires that all employees accept pay cuts. After Jane has a baby, John becomes discouraged by his unpaid bills and by tension between Jane and his mother, who lives with them in their small apartment.

On New Year's Eve, 1938–39, the baby is rushed to the hospital with pneumonia. The baby will die within hours unless a serum is delivered by plane from Salt Lake City. Doolittle agrees to provide funding to deliver the serum, but with a storm raging, and with a wife and children to consider, the pilot refuses to fly. John pleads over the telephone, and the pilot's unmarried friend takes the job. The new pilot almost crashes in the mountains, and the plane's engine catches fire a short distance from New York. The pilot is also injured and knocked unconscious after jumping from the plane and parachuting to safety, but he crawls to a nearby farm house after he comes to. The farmer sees the box containing the serum and telephones the hospital, and the baby is saved. A few years later, John is made partner at the law firm and his son has just spoken his first words.

President Trump Visits Troops in Afghanistan for Thanksgiving

President Trump Visits Troops in Afghanistan for Thanksgiving

Bagram Airfield-BAF
Bagram, Afghanistan

10:45 P.M. AFT

PRESIDENT TRUMP: Well, thank you very much. (Applause.) That was great. And we just had a nice Thanksgiving dinner. I thought I was going to be having it someplace else, and Senator Barrasso is a great friend of mine, and he said, “That’ll be great if we did it.” I said, “You come with me, John.” And he came with me. John, thank you very much. Great friend of ours. He’s a great senator and a great man. (Applause.)

And I want to thank General Milley. Special warrior. He’s a special warrior. And I want to congratulate you also because I just saw some numbers that are incredible. ISIS — you’re wiping them out left and right. There’s almost nothing left in this area. (Applause.) You’re not going to be lonely. And al-Qaeda, the same thing. And tremendous progress.

And, you know, we have a very special friend of ours that’s here. We had a meeting a little while ago. I said, “Would you like to come over and say hello to the troops?” And he said, “That would be such an honor.” And I think what I’ll do is, before I start, I’ll bring up the President of Afghanistan. President Ghani is here. So please, Mr. President, we’d love to have you say something. Thank you. (Applause.)

PRESIDENT GHANI: In the name of compassion and mercy, this President, great American troops, great patriots: Happy Thanksgiving. (Applause.) It’s an occasion for us to be especially thankful because the President of the United States is here. And he has been the architect of the South Asia strategy and the strategy for wiping out al Qaeda and Daesh. (Applause.)

Thanks to your support and the bravery of the Afghan soldiers, we have inflicted an incredible defeat on ISIS in Nangarhar. (Applause.)

Last week, it was Nangarhar; in the next three months, it’s going to be all of Afghanistan. (Applause.) Equally, with your support, what we have done to wipe out al Qaeda South Asia is tremendous. And thank you. (Applause.)

President Trump, people talked a lot about bin Laden, but what you did to eliminate al-Baghdadi — who was an organizer and not a talker — is a much greater accomplishment. Congratulations. (Applause.)

I would also like to take this occasion to say thank you to the Gold Star families: 2,298 American men and women in uniform who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. This nation will always be grateful for that sacrifice, and we will always remember. And also, 20,585 have been wounded. But since President Trump has been President of the United States, fortunately, we still too high a number but only 52 American men and women in uniform have died compared to thousands before. This is a tribute to our joint partnership and to the sacrifice that Afghan soldiers, your brothers and sisters in uniform, are making.

More than a million Americans have served here in uniform. We’ve paid tribute to their families and to your families. I would like a special request: Please thank your families for agreeing to miss you at this special occasion at home, and for being here, defending United States security and our freedom. (Applause.)

Together, we will succeed. We will never forget that 9/11 brought us, and we will never permit the repetition of 9/11 again. (Applause.) God bless you. God bless the President. (Applause.)

PRESIDENT TRUMP: Fantastic. (Applause.) Thank you very much.

Well, thank you very much, Mr. President. Fifty-two, compared to thousands. And we’re doing a tremendous job. And, as you know, a big part of that job is ISIS — certainly the biggest — and al Qaeda. And we — we’ve got them down to very low numbers. We’ll have that totally taken care of in a very short period of time. And we’ll see what happens.

The Taliban wants to make a deal. We’ll see if they want to make a deal. It’s got to be a real deal, but we’ll see. But they want to make a deal. And they only want to make a deal because you’re doing a great job. That’s the only reason they want to make a deal. So I want to thank you, and I want to thank the Afghan soldiers for really — I’ve spoken to a lot of you today, and you say they’re really fighting hard. I was very impressed with that, actually. So I want to thank you.

And, General Milley, again, to be at Bagram Airfield, I’ve heard to much about it. It’s an incredible place. This is some — some airfield, some fortress.

I want to thank all of the Afghanistanian troops. We have a lot of them here, actually. We have a number of them standing around, saying hello and waving. And we appreciate it. And I also say to you, just “at ease.” Let’s just enjoy ourselves for a couple of minutes. I’m going to introduce a few people.

But there’s nowhere I’d rather celebrate this Thanksgiving than right here with the toughest, strongest, best, and bravest warriors on the face of the Earth. You are indeed that. You know, when I took office — if you can believe it, almost three years ago — we were very depleted. Our military was depleted, in terms of equipment. You see, right? They were all shaking their heads. That’s right. We have all those brand-new planes and brand-new helicopters and brand-new ships being built now. Brand-new, incredible submarines. Probably the most powerful submarines — probably the most powerful weapon in the world, is what we’re building, in the form of submarines. Nobody’s — nothing is even close.

But we have things that nobody has seen, nobody has heard about. And we’ll keep it that way. But we’ve spent $2.5 trillion — very close to that number. And very shortly, it will be at $2.5 trillion. And while I don’t love that — you know, what that does to my budget, because I’m a budget person — we don’t have a strong military budget, it don’t matter much do they, huh? I can (inaudible) have to worry about budgets. So, with what’s going on in the world today — very important. $2.5 trillion.

And nobody beats our great Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Marines. And we think, soon, we’re going to be adding a thing called “space” — you know about that, right? Space. (Applause.) We’re going to have space covered very well. We’re covering it now, but we have to cover it to a much greater extent. And you’ll be hearing about that in the coming days and weeks.

I’ve just come from serving Thanksgiving dinner to some of you — I recognize already, some of you in the audience. And — with General Milley and the folks. And we had a good time. I then got down — I sat down. I had a gorgeous piece of turkey. And I was all set to go, and I had some of the mashed potatoes and I had a bite of mashed potatoes. And I never got to the turkey, because General Milley said, “Come on over, sir. Let’s take some pictures.” I never got to my turkey. It’s the first time in Thanksgiving that I’ve never had anything called turkey. (Laughter.) But that’s okay. But it looked awfully good, I have to tell you that. I should have started with that, instead of the mashed potatoes. I made a mistake.

But I hope everyone enjoyed the fantastic meal. It certainly did look good. And hopefully everyone can get some well-deserved rest this holiday. Your family — they’re home, and they love you so much.

We flew 8,331 miles to be here tonight for one simple reason: to tell you, in person, that this Thanksgiving is a special Thanksgiving. We’re doing so well. Our country is the strongest, economically, it’s ever been. We have never done so well. We have the greatest economy anywhere in the world. So it’s nice to know that you’re fighting for something that is doing well, as opposed to something that was not doing well just a number of years ago.

Our stock market has reached the highest level ever in the history of the exchanges — all three, if you look. All three. It’s incredible. It’s incredible, what’s happening. It just broke a record. I think it’s close to 130 days. So we’re less than three years, and 130 times we’ve broken the all-time record. And to me, that doesn’t mean an all-time record. It means something different; it means jobs. It means 401(k)s.

People come up to me with their 401(k)s, they say, “Sir, you’ve made me look like a genius. Thank you very much.” You know, they’re up 78 percent. They feel good.

So I would just want to say that we thank God for your health and all of the things that you’ve done. You are very special people. And you don’t even know how much the people of our country love and respect you. And they do. It’s why I’m here. I’m just bringing the message.

The courageous American warriors in Afghanistan and across the region are leading the fight to vanquish America’s enemies and defeat forces of radical Islamic terrorism. I would say it so often during the campaign. That’s what we’re doing.

Together, we’re making tremendous progress. Just a few weeks ago, as you know, and as President Ghani mentioned, U.S. Special Forces brought the world’s number-one, most wanted terrorist to justice. When the President said more important than Osama bin Laden, I would say that, look, you know — different, in a way. He was an organizer. Al-Baghdadi was an organizer. He was the founder of ISIS. He was the father, if you want to call him that, of ISIS. I think he wasn’t so happy, three weeks ago, when he saw those incredible 67 men, in that case, just come pouring down onto where he was staying. And that didn’t work out too good.

And we have a new national hero. You know who that is, right? Conan. Conan is a new — is our new great hero. That was some- — and Conan was at the White House the other day. You might have seen it. And it was something.

But the animal known as al-Baghdadi — the founder, the leader of ISIS, the man that was trying to reinstitute ISIS, because we’ve defeated — we have 100 percent of the ISIS caliphate in Syria is now ours — he is dead. His second is dead. His third — we have the sights on the third. I think the third doesn’t want the job. (Laughter.) The third is saying, “You know what? Maybe I’ll go work in a store, or something.” (Laughter.)

But Baghdadi was a savage and soulless monster who raped, tortured, and slaughtered the innocent, including many, many Americans. When you saw those folks — those great people in the orange jumpsuits, oftentimes standing on a beach with a thug behind him and a big knife — that was all al-Baghdadi. But he’s gone. The American warriors hunted him down, they executed a masterful raid, and they punched his ticket to hell. That’s what happened. (Applause.)

Shortly after we got Baghdadi, we focused on some other elements in the area. And we also started leaving the area, because it’s secure. But we didn’t leave it totally. We kept the oil. Makes sense, right? I’ve been saying for a long time, “Keep the oil.” Hate to say it. I used to say it with a place called Iraq, too. “Keep the oil.” They didn’t listen to me. I was a civilian; they didn’t listen. Now they have to listen. (Laughter.) But we kept the oil. And we kept it and we can help the Kurds; we can help our partners; we can have it developed. It’s where they got their wealth. That’s where they got their money. We kept it. So, we’ll go back in when we have to, as it arises. But 100 percent.

We have thousands of prisoners. We’d like Europe to take those prisoners. They have not stepped up to the plate at all. Many come from France. Many come from Germany. They come from different countries in Europe. They have not stepped up to the plate. That’s not good. We have to talk to them, John, because they should be taking those people back and trying them. And if we didn’t do it, they’d go back to France and they’d go back to Germany and to UK, and to all of — all of the places where they came. That’s where they want to go back. And they should take them.

Weeks ago, we also announced that the forces are coming back. They’re coming back home. We’re reducing over here, but because of technology and all of things that we have, we’re able to reduce, in Afghanistan — very substantially, actually reduce — and do even more devastating attacks on the enemy. So, that’s part of the $2.5 trillion that we have coming.

Finest equipment in the world. We build the greatest equipment anywhere in the world, by far. And we’re selling that equipment now to many, many countries that are our allies. The enemies, we decide usually not to do it. History has said, “Don’t sell the good equipment to the enemy.”

Our message to the bloodthirsty terrorists is clear: You will not escape your wretched fate, because the long reach and the really awesome power of the United States military is unstoppable. We have the most powerful military in the world, by far. There’s nobody close. And we’re going to keep it that way. We’re going to keep it that way.

This evening, as millions of families sit down at their dinner tables back home, they’ll be saying a prayer for the men and women serving our nation in Afghanistan and deployed all around the globe — great men and women, all around the globe. Many are coming home.

Our citizens know that you’re standing guard, killing terrorists, crushing our enemies, and keeping America safe — really safe. But you’re also keeping it strong, and proud, and mighty, and free. And I’m here today to just really say, “Happy Thanksgiving.” But also, “Thank you very much.” Great job. Thank you very much. We appreciate it. (Applause.) Appreciate it. Very much appreciate it.

As President, I have no higher honor than to serve as Commander-in-Chief of the United States military — the greatest force for peace and justice in the history of the world.

This evening, I also want to express the profound and heartfelt gratitude of the entire American nation for our amazing military families, because they really do make you what you are, when you think of it. Anybody here disagree with that? Raise your hand, please. Nobody has the courage to raise your hand. (Laughter.) You have a lot of courage, but not that kind of courage, right? No, but it’s true. The families — they make you great. The extraordinary commitment and the sacrifice of your loved ones make it possible for all of our families to live in safety and to live in peace.

I especially want to recognize several of the incredible patriots with us tonight. These are great fighters, great warriors, great people, great men and women. You’ve already met Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. It was my honor to appoint him. I had no doubt, from the day I met him — I met him very early on. And I said, “I like that man. He’s a tough cookie and he’s smart.”

You know, he went to Princeton. I said, “I don’t know. I didn’t know he was an academic.” And he went to Columbia. I’m not sure: Was that a good thing or a bad? I don’t know. Did I like it or not? I was, sort of — but that’s pretty good. That means he’s an academic. That means he’s a smart cookie. And he is a smart — and he’s a tough one. General Mark Milley. Thank you, General. (Applause.) He’s an academic. I can’t believe it. He’s a great gentleman.

Commander of the Resolute Support and U.S. Forces Afghanistan, General Scotty Miller. He’s done an incredible job. Thank you, Scotty. Thank you, Scotty. (Applause.) Incredible job. And I hope the word gets out. And I hope the press, which is right back here — they traveled with us — I hope they’re able to get the word out as to what Scotty and all of the folks have done, with respect to ISIS and with respect to al Qaeda.

He said, “They don’t want to fight us, sir. They don’t want to fight us.” But, you know, what — what we’ve done over the last 12 months — 6 months and 12 months, but over the last 12 months — has been incredible. And I hope that the media is able to tell our families, tell our friends, tell our citizens, tell the people of the United States the success that we’ve had, because people don’t read about that. They don’t read about it.

Commander of Bagram Airfield, Brigadier General Brian Wolford. Thank you, Brian. (Applause.) Thank you, Brian. Great, Brian. Commander of the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing, Brigadier General Scott Jobe. Thank you. (Applause.) Thank you, Scott. Thank you, Scott. Commander of Area Support Group Afghanistan, Colonel David Raugh. (Applause.) Thank you, David. Good job, David. Thank you. U.S. Forces Afghanistan Chief of Staff, Colonel Chip Daniels. Chip, thank you. (Applause.)

And let’s not forget our senior enlisted officers:
Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman, Command Sergeant Major John Wayne Troxell. (Applause.) John, where — thank you, John. Command Senior Enlisted Leader of U.S. Forces Afghanistan, Command Sergeant Major Timothy Metheny. (Applause.) Timothy, thank you. Thanks, Timothy.
Senior Enlisted Leader of Bagram Air Field, Sergeant Major Jason Huckabay. Jason, thank you. Thank you, Jason. And Chief Master Sergeant David Dickson of the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing. Where is he? Chief Master David Dickson. Thank you. (Applause.) Thank you. Thank you very much, David Dickson.

Also with us are National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien — doing a great job; Ambassador John Bass; and I introduced already one of the great, great patriots of our country, John Barrasso of Wyoming. Great state. Wyoming. (Applause.) Thank you, John.

With the help and the devotion everyone has given here tonight, America is winning again. We are winning like we have not won in a long time. And you know what? We’re respected like we haven’t been respected in a long time. America is winning again, and America is respected again and respected at the highest level.

We’re investing so much money in our military, and we’re not going to stop until it’s totally rebuilt and complete. Along with a record investment in our military, we’ve also got your largest pay raise in over 10 years. And I’m very pleased to report that, starting January 1st, you will be receiving another 3.1 percent pay raise. And if anybody doesn’t want it — (applause). If anybody doesn’t want it, just sign up at the door and we’ll take it away. Okay? (Laughter.) Make it a contribution.

Here in the region, we’re boldly confronting America’s adversaries and pursing a foreign policy focused squarely on our national interests.

Less than three years ago, ISIS controlled the vast reaches of territory in Iraq and Syria. Today, the U.S. Armed Forces and our allies have totally obliterated ISIS and its caliphate. And, you know, I was going to leave. We were down to 98 percent. And I have to say this: When I came in — again, less than three years ago — it was a mess. They were all over the place. And I was about set — “We’ll leave now.” We were at 97, 98 percent.

And I got a lot of — a lot of bite-back from people that, frankly, would have been very happy to leave if it was anybody else but me. They said, “Why don’t you finish the job?” These are people that would have loved — but, you know what? I said, “Maybe they’re right.” And we finished the job. We did it very, very quickly, and very surgically. So that job is finished. We liberated more than 3 million civilians from that brutal reign.

I’ve also taken action to confront the corrupt and terror-supporting dictatorship in Iran. And, in Afghanistan, our warfighters continue to serve heroically to stamp out terrorism and to eviscerate the enemies of civilization. Because that’s what, really, they are; they’re enemies of civilization.

Right here, at Bagram, you are logistical hub for all forces in Afghanistan. You are absolutely essential to victory. From this base, the unrivaled aviators of the U.S. Air Force deliver unmatched firepower across the region. When our enemies hear the sound of your jets — those brand-new, beautiful jets — they hear the sound of those jets.

We don’t put too many environmental controls on those jets. (Laughter.) Because if it takes away 4 percent of what we need, we want the 4 percent. Do you agree with that, everybody? Is everybody — (applause). And we’re all environment, but we’re not heavy into environmental controls, and even pollution controls, on our aircraft when it’s a fighting jet. We don’t want to have any excuses.

But when our enemies hear the sound of those screaming engines through the valleys, their terrorist blood runs cold because they know that their demise is near.

In particular, I want to thank outstanding airmen from the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing, who deliver righteous American thunder anywhere, anyplace, anytime. Raise your hands. Let me see. (Applause.) Great. Great job. Helps to have new equipment, doesn’t it? Does it help a little bit? You got nice, new equipment.

Thanks as well to the skilled professionals of the Expeditionary Medical Group — (applause) — who run the most capable trauma hospital in Afghanistan: Craig Joint Theater Hospital. Thank you very much. Great job you do. (Applause.) “Nobody…” I’ll tell you what, there’s a little phrase that I hear: “Nobody dies today. They live to fight another day.” You’ve done a fantastic job.

And I’m told that, not long ago, a critically injured soldier was brought here in need of multiple blood transfusions. Within 15 minutes, more than 100 members of Bagram — the community, the base — showed up to give their blood. That says everything you need to know about the men and women who serve here. Thank you very much. It was incredible. They needed it fast, and they got it. (Applause.) They got it.

Every day, the fierce soldiers of the U.S. Army are carrying out harrowing missions across this land. The Army marches bravely into danger, traverses perilous terrain, and pumps stunning firepower straight into the face of evil.

In particular, I want to thank the men and women of the 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, who operate rotary — oh, I know what “rotary” is, right? — (laughter) — rotary wing aircraft across Afghanistan, and fly magnificent Apaches like the one right next to me. That is magnificent.

And I was just at the — at Dover, because you had a terrible accident a week ago of two of your incredible people. And I greeted them as they came in on a very big plane. And I greeted their families. I heard they were fantastic people. So thank you very much for that. I know a lot of you asked about them. Their families are doing fine, but that was a rough night for them, I will tell you. It’s a rough night for me; it’s a rough night for everybody.

Thanks also to the 1st Armor Division’s Resolute Support Sustainment Brigade for supplying our forces. The Brigade is incredible — so respected by everybody — keeping our military in top fighting shape. (Applause.) You are “Iron Soldiers,” they say. “Iron Soldiers.” Do you think so? Yeah. Right? (Applause.) I think so.

And among those in RSSB are two sisters: Master Sergeant Eliana Gallardo and Captain Carla Gallardo. And I don’t know — where are you? Where are you two sisters? Where are they? They’re here someplace. Come here. Come. Have you ever spoken publicly?

CAPTAIN GALLARDO: Yes.

THE PRESIDENT: Give it a sho- — (laughs). She said, “Yes.” That’s pretty good. Please, say something please.

CAPTAIN GALLARDO: Hello, everyone. Happy Thanksgiving. (Applause.)

MASTER SERGEANT GALLARDO: Happy Thanksgiving. (Applause.)

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you both. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Thank you both very much.

I know that Senator Barrasso is very proud of the fact that Wyoming’s National Guard is here at Bagram. (Applause.) Oh, you get them, huh? Where are they? Come here. Come here. Say a few words.

FIRST SERGEANT CLANCY: Powder River.

FIRST LIEUTENANT WERGER: Let ‘er buck. (Applause.)

THE PRESIDENT: These people are all action, no talk. (Laughter.) But I just want to thank you for being here.

And the Alpha Battery Second of the 300th Field Artillery Battalion, thank you very much. Your First Lieutenant Ira Werger and First Sergeant Michael Clancy — I want to thank you very much for doing such a great job in leading the unit.

Let me also recognize the terrific service members from Area Support Group Afghanistan; JTF Parwan; Task Force Cobalt; our Theater Reaction Force — “Fury”; Task Force Griffin; Task Force Hellhound EOD. Where are you? (Applause.) Task Force Loyalty. (Applause.) I like them. I like them there. Task Force Hiki No. (Applause.) Hiki No. Where are you, Hiki No? (Applause.) That’s great. That’s great.

Warfighters, keep up the great work. Really, keep up the great work. That’s fantastic. And we’re glad we could mention most of you. I know we left somebody out. Did we leave anybody out?

AUDIENCE MEMBER: (Inaudible.)

THE PRESIDENT: I agree. Who else? (Laughter.)

Together, we’re all very proud of the part the most feared and lethal fighting force ever assembled has played toward peace. America’s military dominates the sky. Nobody can dominate the sky like we do. We have the new F-35s coming out — stealth, and even super-stealth. It’s hard for the enemy because there’s one problem they have: You can’t see the planes. It’s always tough to fight a plane when you can’t see it.

But America’s military dominates the sky. You dominate the sea. You dominate the land. You dominate space. You will not be deterred, and you will never, ever be defeated.

The United States never seeks war. We seek peace wherever peace can be found. We want peace. We do want peace. I want peace more than anybody. You know, they said, when I was elected, “Oh, we’ll be in a war in the first day.” Right? Remember that? No.

But when we do, and if we do — and I hope we never do — we will win. We’re going to fight to win. We only fight to win. We only fight to win. (Applause.)

But if we are forced, we will avenge the enemy with overwhelming power, and we will win like — the old days, we won. Then we went where we sort of played for ties. But we don’t play for ties anymore. We don’t do the tie thing anymore. Is that okay with you folks? Is that all right? (Applause.)

Victory on the battlefield will always belong to you, the American warrior. In the long run, of course, the future of Afghanistan and nations across this region will not be decided on the battlefield. Ultimately, there will be — need to be a political solution, and we’re working with the President and we’re working with a lot of people right now on a political solution decided by the people of the region themselves.

But rest assured that my administration will always be committed to annihilating terrorists wherever they appear, because we don’t want them in our country. We’re going to tell them, “Get the hell out.” And we’re doing it all the time. “Get them out.” And we will continue to work tirelessly for the day when we can bring each and every one of you home and safe to your family. And that day is coming — coming very soon.

In the 18 years since the attacks of September 11th, thousands of American patriots have left their everyday lives and cherished loved ones, put on their uniforms, and flown here to Afghanistan. Some of our brave warriors have made the ultimate sacrifice. We honor their memory today, and we will always honor their memory. Like all of them, each of you came to do your duty. You came to defend American liberty. You came because our nation needed you, and they needed you right here.

The men and women of our military are totally loyal to our country. And every day I am President, America will always be totally loyal to you.

I just want to finish by saying that, with your courage, we will continue to pursue America’s enemies to ends of the Earth. Greatest in the world. We will chase them down. We will get the terrorists. We will break their will. We will not give them rest — no break and no way out. They won’t have a chance. As long as America’s soldiers, sailors, airmen, Coast Guardsmen, and Marines are on the mission, our nation’s adversaries do not have even a small hope of victory.

Together, we will preserve our freedom, we will protect our homeland, and we will always defend and honor our great American flag.

I want to thank you, Bagram Air Base. This is a special place — a place that everybody talks about in our country. What you’ve done here and what you’ve built here is powerful. And I just want to say: Next year, we’ll be having Thanksgiving together — it may be back in the United States — because you’ve done so much work here, and you’ve done it well.

God bless you. God bless our great country. God bless everybody in this room. Be safe. I will see you very soon. We will be back. We’ll be back. And we are coming back as a country like nobody has ever seen.

When I’m greeted — and I’m often greeted — by leaders of the world, they start off by saying two things: “Congratulations on what you’ve done with your country, from an economic standpoint. We’ve never seen anything like it.” And, “Sir, congratulations on rebuilding your military.” And that’s what we’ve done.

God bless you all. Thank you very much. Thank you.

President Trump Homecoming Rally - Sunrise, Florida

President Donald Trump brings ‘homecoming’ rally to South Florida

SUNRISE, Fla. – President Donald Trump is headed to South Florida for a "homecoming" rally Tuesday night in Sunrise.

The campaign rally for the Republican president is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., but doors to the BB&T Center will open at 3 p.m.

Trump announced earlier this fall that he now considers Florida his home, specifically his beloved Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, where he’s spending Thanksgiving.

Outside the arena on Tuesday afternoon, Richard Rossi, 63, of Pompano Beach, was wearing a firefighter helmet with bull horns and holding a cow bell and a sign saying “you get no bull with Trump” as he posted for photos with rally-goers

“I’m wearing this outfit to prove that I’m the ‘original Trumper’” Rossi said.

He wore the same outfit at a Trump event in 2012 in Boca Raton, he said. At that time, he said Trump was just “dipping his toe in the waters” deciding if he would run.

“This is outstanding that he’s here,” Rossi said. He said he also went to a rally in Orlando at the start of the campaign, though he didn’t wear the bull outfit then.

Donald J. Trump filled the BB&T Center Arena to its rafters and then added thousands more supporters outside the arena.

President Trump on Tuesday pardoned two turkeys at the White House ahead of Thanksgiving

Butter wins "National Thanksgiving Turkey" title over Bread

President Trump on Tuesday pardoned two turkeys at the White House ahead of Thanksgiving — a decades-long tradition in which the president uses the power of the office to keep a pair of the meaty birds off holiday tables.

Alluding to Democrats' ongoing impeachment inquiry, the president joked that both turkeys "already received subpoenas to appear in Adam Schiff's basement on Thursday."

"Thankfully, Bread and Butter have been specially raised by the Jacksons to remain clam under any condition, which will be very important because they've already received subpoenas to appear in Adam Schiff's basement on Thursday. It's true," the president joked. "Hundreds of people have. It seems the Democrats are accusing me of being too soft on turkey. But Bread and Butter, I should note that unlike previous witnesses, you and I have actually met. It's very unusual. I expect this pardon will be a very popular one with the media. After all, turkeys are closely related to vultures. I don't know if I like that line, but there is a little truth to it."

Sherlock Holmes in Washington Classic Movie

Sherlock Holmes in Washington Classic Movie

British secret agent Alfred Pettibone carrying a vital secret document is murdered on his way to deliver it in the USA. The British government turns to Holmes for help. He deduces that Pettibone converted the document to microfilm. Avoiding an assassination attempt, he hurries to Washington with Watson to retrieve it before it falls into the hands of an "international spy ring". Holmes is certain that the spies do not yet possess the document, as people who were in contact with Pettibone on his journey have been harassed. Pettibone's body was then delivered to Holmes by the spies as means to throw Holmes off the track.

Before his death, the agent managed to pass the microfilm, hidden inside a "V for Victory" matchbook, into the unwitting hands of Washington debutante and bride-to-be Nancy Partridge. The matches get passed from hand to hand at a party unknowingly and end up in the inadvertent possession of the chief spy, Heinrich Hinkel (known as the seemingly respectable Richard Stanley in Washington), when he has Partridge kidnapped.

Holmes tracks down the ring to an antiques shop, where he confronts Hinkel. During their cat-and-mouse conversation, he even tells the spy that "the man who has it doesn't know he has it", with the matchbook in plain sight. Holmes is taken prisoner, but just as he and Partridge are about to be murdered, the police, summoned by Watson by prior arrangement with Holmes, break in and, after a gunfight, rescue the pair. Hinkel gets away, along with the matchbook, however. Holmes races to the office of Senator Henry Babcock, having led Hinkel to believe the microfilm is under a stamp of a letter in the senator's possession. Holmes arrives first and, as Hinkel eavesdrops, reveals the importance of the letter. Hinkel takes the letter at gunpoint, only to have the police capture him. Holmes then takes the matches and sets fire to the letter, before revealing that the microfilm was in the matchbook all along.

Sherlock Holmes In The House of Fear 1945

Sherlock Holmes In The House of Fear 1945

Holmes is visited by Mr. Chalmers (Gavin Muir), an insurance agent with a strange tale. Seven single men, calling themselves "The Good Comrades", live together in the remote Scottish castle of Drearcliffe House, near the village of Inverneill. Recently one of the "Good Comrades" received a strange message, an envelope containing nothing but seven orange pips. That night, he was murdered and his body horribly mutilated. A few days later, a second envelope was delivered, this time containing six pips, and the recipient also died mysteriously soon afterwards, his battered corpse being recovered from the base of the cliffs. Chalmers holds £100,000 of life insurance policies on the seven men, and suspects that one is systematically murdering the others in order to collect the money, and begs Holmes to investigate.

Holmes and Watson arrive at the scene only to find another murder has occurred. His body is burned to a crisp. Lestrade also arrives to investigate. Despite Holmes' best efforts, three more deaths occur, each time leaving the victim's body unrecognizable.

Lestrade jumps to the obvious conclusion, that the last surviving member, Bruce Alistair (Aubrey Mather), murdered all the others. However, after Watson goes missing, Holmes has deduced the truth and leads Lestrade (and Alistair) to a secret room where all the "Good Comrades" - alive and well - are hiding with Watson tied up. Holmes explains that Alistair was the victim of a plot to frame him for murder and collect the insurance money by the other six.

Congresswoman Maxine Waters is a typical examle of what EVIL is in our government

Maxine Waters Speak Up LA June 23 2018

"Let's make sure we show up wherever we have to show up. And if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere. We've got to get the children connected to their parents," Waters said at the Wilshire Federal Building, according to video of the event.
"We don't know what damage has been done to these children. All that we know is they're in cages. They're in prisons. They're in jails. I don't care what they call it, that's where they are and Mr. President, we will see you every day, every hour of the day, everywhere that we are to let you know you cannot get away with this," she added.

Waters appeared on MSNBC later in the day to double down on her remarks, saying she has "no sympathy" for members of the Trump administration.

Scalfari: Pope Francis Denies Bodily Resurrection of Jesus

Scalfari: Pope Francis Denies Bodily Resurrection of Jesus

by Jules Gomes

Italian journalist doubles down on Francis' alleged denial of Jesus' divinity

ROME (ChurchMilitant.com) - In a new series of troubling revelations, Italian journalist Eugenio Scalfari has quoted Pope Francis as denying the bodily resurrection of Jesus in stating that the crucified Christ emerged from the tomb as a spirit rather than as a body.

In a front-page article in Tuesday's La Repubblica, Scalfari expands on his earlier quote from Pope Francis, where the Holy Father is interpreted as rejecting the divinity of Jesus while on earth, and dovetails that statement with Francis' alleged denial of Christ's bodily resurrection.

According to Scalfari, Pope Francis said, "He [Jesus] was a man until he was put in the sepulchre by the women who restored his corpse. That night in the sepulchre the man disappeared and from that cave came out in the form of a spirit that met the women and the Apostles, still preserving the shadow of the person, and then definitively disappeared."

...........

It is in this context Scalfari elaborates on his meeting with Pope Francis.

"I was personally responsible for speaking with Pope Francis in our first meeting four years ago, and His Holiness, who is very prepared in these matters," told him that "God, who is Unique to all the people of the whole world, decided on his incarnation to help humanity to believe in the hereafter and to behave appropriately in thinking and acting."

Then, Pope Francis reportedly told Scalfari: "That is, he is a man: true and total, and he shows it in the last week spent in Jerusalem, at the last supper, in the Garden of Gethsemane where he prays to God to exempt him from being crucified, but God does not answer him."

"Also on the cross he is a man who turns to what he calls the Father and almost reproaches him by saying: 'Father, Father, you have abandoned me,'" Francis reportedly said.

Italian social media has erupted in shock at the new revelations.

President Trump Presents the Presidential Citizens Medal to Colonel Richard Rescorla

President Trump Presents the Presidential Citizens Medal to Colonel Richard Rescorla

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you very much. Please. Thank you. Great to be with you. And thank you all for being here.

Today, it’s my honor to present an award reserved for those who perform exemplary deeds or acts of service for this great nation and its citizens — the Presidential Citizens Medal. And it’s a big deal. (Applause.)

This evening, we come together to pay tribute to a fallen hero who devoted his life to defending freedom and who made the supreme sacrifice to save others on September 11, 2001: Colonel Richard Rescorla. Richard was a great gentleman. He’s looking down proudly on this wonderful family. And congratulations, this is a big — this is a big evening. And it’s great to have you at the White House because there’s no place like it. Thank you. (Applause.)

We are profoundly grateful to have with us Rick’s beloved family. Please join me in welcoming his wife, Susan. Thank you, Susan. (Applause.) His son Trevor, and his daughter Kim. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. (Applause.) And to each of you — we cannot fathom all that you have endured, but today we express the gratitude of 329 million Americans. It’s a lot of people.

Rick was born in Cornwall, England, in 1939. As a boy, he met American soldiers preparing for the Normandy landing and dreamed of one day serving in uniform. It’s a big thing for Rick.

Soon, he had his chance and joined the British Army. He spent six years fighting communism, then flew to America, found the recruiting center in Times Square, and joined the United States Army. He wanted to continue his fight against communists.

In 1965, Rick deployed to Vietnam. As a platoon leader, he fought in the battle of the Ia Drang Valley. Facing overwhelming odds, Rick helped to beat back hundreds and hundreds of enemy soldiers. His Commander, General Hal Moore — who was a great general, by the way — said Rick was, quote, “an extraordinary battlefield leader; quite simply the best platoon leader of infantry I have ever known in two wars.” He saw plenty of action.

For his actions in Vietnam, Rick received two Bronze Stars, a Silver Star, the Purple Heart, and the Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry.

We are thankful to be joined today by 60 soldiers who fought in Vietnam with Rick, including six veterans who just returned from Ia Drang on a trip to honor him. Would you all please stand? It’s great to have you. Thank you. Thank you. (Applause.) Thank you. Whoa. (Applause.) That’s pretty good. That’s pretty good.

And you’re all looking good. You’re looking good. That’s great. That’s really fan- — do I see a Medal of Honor winner in our midst? Oh, that’s great. Stand up please. (Applause.) And I know them all. Congratulations. Thank you for being here. Very nice. You’ve earned our everlasting gratitude.

When Rick came home to America, he received a bachelor’s of — a master’s degree in literature, and earned a law degree in Oklahoma. He taught at the University of South Carolina, but soon realized he would not be happy until he was protecting others. That’s what he liked to do — protect others. He was born to serve.

In 1984, Rick became director of security for Dean Witter Securities, which soon moved to the World Trade Center’s South Tower.

Rick was there in 1993, when terrorists detonated a 1,200-pound bomb in the World Trade Center’s garage. In the midst of danger and confusion, Rick climbed on top of a desk, took command, and directed the evacuation. He helped a lot of people. That was a rough time.

After that bombing, Rick analyzed threats, outlined potential attacks, and told building officials that the next assault on the Towers could come from the air. He understood what was happening. He did everything he could to prepare for the worst.

In 1997, Dean Witter merged with Morgan Stanley, and Rick was promoted to Executive Vice President of Security for the largest tenant in the entire World Trade Center. In 1998, he met Susan and they married within a year. That was good. Right? (Laughter.) That was good. They were both happy. They were both very happy. That was a good move for both.

On Tuesday, September 11, 2001, Rick got up early, put on his blue, pinstriped suit, and just before he left his home in Morristown, New Jersey, he kissed Susan, and told her, “I’ve never felt better in my life. I love you so.” Very nice. That’s very nice.

Rick arrived in his office before 7:30 a.m. A little more than an hour later, he heard an explosion, and looked out the window to see the North Tower consumed by flames.

Bullhorn in hand, Rick told everyone to ignore the P.A. system that was instructing them to remain at their desks. He directed them to start marching down the stairs, two-by-two. “Get out and start marching. Just do it.” And they had practiced before. Because of him, they had practiced before.

Rick ran up and down over 20 floors, telling employees to keep moving. “Keep moving. Get out. Keep moving.” Many recall him saying, “Today is a day to be tra- — proud to be an American. Tomorrow, the world will be looking at you!”

At 9:03 a.m., a plane crashed into now the South Tower. As terrified victims ran to escape the suffocating fumes, Rick remained calm and resolute in his mission. When others told Rick to run to safety, he responded, “As soon as I’ve got everybody in this building out.”

The South Tower collapsed while Rick was still inside. Through his extraordinary actions, he helped save 2,700 lives. That night, those 2,700 people went home to their loved ones.
In the 18 years since, they have raised families, sent their children to college, walked their sons and daughters down the aisle, held their grandchildren thanks, in great measure, to one extraordinary American.

Here with us today are 12 brave first responders of 9/11, along with 5 veterans who fought in the war on terror — and very, very successfully fought. Please stand. Please. (Applause.) Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, fellas. Thank you. Thank you very much. Great respect. I know the city well. (Laughter.) Fantastic job.

Rick’s entire life paints a beautiful picture of selfless service, and his legacy endures. Monuments and gardens have been built in his honor. A passenger train in England has been named after him. And they just gave me the most beautiful model of that train; it’ll be in the Oval Office. And poems and books and even an opera have been written to memorialize his story.

No one has done more to preserve Rick’s memory than his wife, Susan. After 9/11, Susan traveled the country and told of Rick’s courage. Rick used to stay and say that Susan’s spirit could “lift him up in just a minute.” Susan, you have really helped to lift up an entire nation. And we want to really thank you. And you have been so incredible. And this evening is a very special one. This is a very special house, it’s a very special home, and it’s a very special country.

So, to Susan, Trevor, Kim, and every one of Rick’s family members who are here: Our debt to you is beyond measure. We can never reverse the horrors of that day. We can never replace the precious lives we lost. But on behalf of our entire nation, I pledge that we will forever and always remember this incredible American hero, Colonel Rick Rescorla. We will never, ever forget.

Now, it is my privilege to ask Susan to join me onstage to accept the Presidential Citizens Medal on behalf of her great husband. (Applause.)

Would the military aide please come forward and read the citation. Thank you. Thank you, Susan.

MILITARY AIDE: Richard Cyril Rescorla. At the cost of his own, Richard Rescorla helped save the lives of nearly 2,700 people at the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11, 2001.

In the midst of the attack on the Twin Towers, Rescorla ignored advice to shelter people in place and instead aided their efforts to escape to safety. He did not, however, join the evacuation. He continued working to save lives until the tower collapsed, killing him and hundreds more.

The United States is proud to honor Rick Rescorla, whose valiant and selfless sacrifice for his fellow Americans on one of our Nation’s darkest days will never be forgotten.

(The Presidential Citizens Medal is presented.) (Applause.)

MRS. RESCORLA: Good evening, President Trump and all of you, this day of November the 7th, in the year of our Lord, 2019. And thank you so much for meeting with Rick’s family and I so privately before the ceremony.

Today is a day to honor a proud American. Eighteen years is a long time, and I thank our President for honoring Rick with the Presidential Citizens Medal.

I had asked myself, “And why now?” Because this was to be. It’s all about the journey, which has revealed so much more. Of all of the accolades, all of the tributes, both here and in the United Kingdom — 60 or more, over the years, and each one so unique — and all of the people along the journey who have touched my life, each is so memorable because I was able to learn more about this incredible man in death than in the short time we had together on Earth. And thank God we were blessed by a deeply meaningful time together.

Mr. President, we have about 200 people here who are all great women and men. And I will be honoring them at the gala event at the Plaza Hotel this evening. I know Rick would have wanted them all to be here today, and we both salute you all.

And now, on this incredible day, we are gathered here at our White House with the President of the United States, Donald Trump, in the country we love, with the flag we salute with so much respect. And looking out on you all, each one of you is so special.

On that fatal day, September 11, 2001, Rick was seen fiercely herding the people out of the building. And then he and his three men followed the firemen going further up into the South Tower. There’s even a recorder of them talking to one another. “Leave no man behind” was the core of the 7th Cavalry, and I know Rick was thinking about his men in those final moments.

The days after 9/11, so many people called me and asked me, “Did Rick make it out?” Or to tell me what Rick was saying to them as he was bringing them out of the building to safety. He was singing Cornish songs. And sometimes even whispering in their ears, “Get the hell out. Just leave. Get out.” (Laughter.)

But the — and — anyway, what was I going to say? Today is a day to be proud to be an American because the world is still looking at us. And all of you here have contributed to keeping Rick’s work and story alive so it will be in the forefront of the American memory.

But before I say the last statement, I would like to tell you something about what Rick said to me. On our first date, he said to me, “What are you about?” And I said, “What do you mean, Rick?” And he said, “Well, when I was a very young man, I declared what I wanted to be. And I knew that if I stayed on that path, that at the end of my life, that I would have done the very best that I could.” And that’s exactly what Rick did.

Thank you, Mr. President. And God bless America. (Applause.)

THE PRESIDENT: Thank you very much, Susan. (Applause.)

Whistleblower lawyer is a Trump-hater

Hannity: Whistleblower lawyer is a Trump-hater...Whistleblower attorney called for 'coup' and 'rebellion' against Trump in 2017.

Mark Zaid, one of the attorneys representing the intelligence community whistleblower at the center of the Democrats' ongoing impeachment inquiry, tweeted conspicuously in January 2017 that a "coup has started" and that "impeachment will follow ultimately."

Then, in July 2017, Zaid remarked, "I predict @CNN will play a key role in @realDonaldTrump not finishing out his full term as president." Also that month, Zaid tweeted, "We will get rid of him, and this country is strong enough to survive even him and his supporters."

Amid a slew of impeachment-related posts, Zaid assured his Twitter followers that "as one falls, two more will take their place," apparently referring to Trump administration employees who defy the White House. Zaid promised that the "coup" would occur in "many steps."

The tweets, which came shortly after President Trump fired then-acting Attorney General Sally Yates for failing to defend federal laws in court, are likely to fuel Republican concerns that the anonymous whistleblower's complaint is tainted with partisanship. Trump's call with Ukraine's leader, which is the subject of the complaint, occurred in July 2019.

“The whistleblower’s lawyer gave away the game," the Trump campaign's communications director, Tim Murtaugh, told Fox News. "It was always the Democrats’ plan to stage a coup and impeach President Trump and all they ever needed was the right scheme. They whiffed on Mueller so now they’ve settled on the perfectly fine Ukraine phone call. This proves this was orchestrated from the beginning.”

Added House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy: "We should take [Zaid] at his word that this is a coordinated, premeditated plot to overturn the election."

Trump has repeatedly accused Democrats and partisans in the intelligence community of effectively plotting a coup against him, through selective leaks and lengthy investigations.

"45 years from now we might be recalling stories regarding the impeachment of @realDonaldTrump. I'll be old, but will be worth the wait," Zaid wrote in June 2017.

He emphasized his interest in impeachment in a variety of other posts.

"Johnson (1868), Nixon (1973), Clinton (1998) impeachment hearings. Next up @realDonaldTrump (2017)," he said in May.

In a statement to Fox News on Wednesday, Zaid defended his posts as common sentiments.

“Those tweets were reflective and repeated the sentiments of millions of people," Zaid said. "I was referring to a completely lawful process of what President Trump would likely face as a result of stepping over the line, and that particularly whatever would happen would come about as a result of lawyers. The coup comment referred to those working inside the Administration who were already, just a week into office, standing up to him to enforce recognized rules of law.“

Fox News has previously reported on social media posts by Zaid that highlighted what appeared to be open animus toward the president.

Although Zaid described Democratic House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif., as a "mature professional," and circulated articles that touted the reliability of the largely discredited Steele dossier used by the FBI to surveil a former member of Trump's campaign, Zaid has repeatedly unloaded on the president in no uncertain terms.

Prescription Drug Prices Are Falling at Historic Levels Thanks to Trump Administration Policies

Prescription Drug Prices Are Falling at Historic Levels Thanks to Trump Administration Policies

hile the media continues to claim prescription drug prices are rising, a recent Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) paper shows the opposite: Under President Trump, prescription drug prices are decreasing at rates not seen since the 1960s.

In the eight years prior to President Trump’s inauguration, prescription drug prices increased by an average of 3.6 percent per year. Fast forward to today, and prescription drug prices have seen year-over-year declines in nine of the last ten months, with a 1.1 percent drop as of the most recent month. In June 2019, the United States saw the largest single-year drop (2.0 percent year-over-year decline) in prescription drug prices since 1967.

The media’s narrative about rising drug prices, while perhaps true for individual drugs or certain classes of drugs, is not true for general drug prices due to limitations in frequently cited reports. These misleading reports make broad claims even though they consider only narrow measures like list prices, brand name drugs, or drugs with recent price increases. Additionally, some reports use unknown methodologies (see the Appendix of CEA’s paper for more details about other reports’ flaws).

List prices do not reflect actual costs because drug manufacturers can increase list prices while simultaneously decreasing costs for insurers and consumers through discounts and rebates. Similarly, exclusively focusing on brand name drugs misses the cost savings equally effective generic drugs offer. And only measuring the average price of drugs that recently increased in price completely and conveniently ignores any drugs that had prices remain constant or decline.

To avoid these common mistakes and accurately measure average prescription drug prices, CEA relies on the prescription drug component of the Consumer Price Index (CPI-Rx), which is the best available measure of overall price changes for retail prescription drugs. The CPI-Rx and the broader CPI are produced by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, an independent government statistical agency, using fully transparent and extensively studied methods. Additionally, the broader CPI is a widely accepted measure of overall inflation. Even though CPI is the preferred method for measuring inflation, it still has some flaws. If anything, CPI-Rx overstates price growth because it does not fully capture the value that newer and more effective drugs provide patients. The current magnitude of this shortcoming is unknown, but it has previously been estimated to be as high as two percentage points per year.

Enhanced competition from generic drugs is an important factor behind falling prescription drug prices. Generic drug approvals reached a record high last year, due in part to FDA reforms, even though patents are expiring at a lower rate. Lower-cost generic versions of many brand name prescription drugs are widely available, and generic drug prices often decrease over time. Moving forward, additional generic drugs entering the market will continue putting downward pressure on drug prices.

Government data on prescription drug prices clearly show that the Trump Administration’s policies are helping drive historic, much-needed cost decreases. Lower prices mean American patients are better able to afford the medication they need, which should improve health outcomes. But there is more work to be done, and the Trump Administration is working on additional reforms to further lower prescription drug prices. As debates over making prescription drugs more affordable continue, it is critical that the public and policymakers understand what the most reliable data show.

Remarks by Vice President Pence in Meet and Greet with First Responders | Williamsburg, KY

Remarks by Vice President Pence in Meet and Greet with First Responders | Williamsburg, KY

THE VICE PRESIDENT: Thank you. Thank you, Governor Bevin. Thank you to First Lady Glenna. Thank you for your great leadership, your great partnership with our administration.

When President Trump and I were campaigning through Kentucky three years ago, we said we could make America safe again. We said we could make America prosperous again. We said we could affirm all the foundational constitutional principles — have men and women appointed to our courts who will uphold all the God-given liberties enshrined in our founding documents again. And three years later, I’m proud report, in strong partnership with Governor Matt Bevin, President Donald Trump has delivered. (Applause.)

We’ve gotten this economy rolling again, just like Governor Matt Bevin did. This President arrived in Washington, D.C., and with a strong partnership with our allies on Capitol Hill, we cut taxes across the board for working families and businesses large and small.

We — just like your governor did, we cut red tape at historic levels. We’ve stood by American energy independence, and the war on coal is over. And the American economy and Kentucky’s economy are booming as a result of the leadership of President Donald Trump and Governor Matt Bevin. (Applause.)

And I want to — I want to acknowledge my great admiration for one of those members of Congress, who I had the privilege of serving with for 12 years on Capitol Hill while I represented the state of Indiana. He actually chaired the Appropriations Committee, but he never lost the common touch. I mean, to know your congressman is to know a man of faith and integrity, who always put the interest of Eastern Kentucky first. And he’s been a champion for this region. He’s been a champion for our military. He’s been a champion for law enforcement. And let me just say, not only Kentucky, but America owes a debt of gratitude to the long and distinguished service of Congressman Hal Rogers. (Applause.)

Everything we’ve been able to do over the last three years in Washington, D.C., would not have been possible without the strong, unwavering partnership that Congressman Rogers and a Republican majority in those first two years of our administration made possible.

So, Congressman, I want to thank you.

REPRESENTATIVE ROGERS: Thank you.

THE VICE PRESIDENT: The economy is booming again. But President Trump said we’re going to make America safe again. And I’m proud to report, and I’m proud to be a Vice President who served alongside a President who has made the largest investments in our national defense since the days of Ronald Reagan. We’ve rebuilt our military. (Applause.)

I know the men and women who are standing around us today wearing this uniform, many of you wore the uniform, and we thank you for your service. But as the world saw this last weekend, the investments in our armed forces have made the strongest military in the history of the world stronger still. And with the successful raid that took out the leader of ISIS, America and the world are safer. (Applause.)

But while the American military defends our nation and sees to America’s defense around the world, the men and women that are gathered around us here today keep our family safe every day at home. And I want to assure you, from the first day of this administration, you have a President and a governor who have stood without apology for the men and women of law enforcement. (Applause.)

Before Governor Bevin came into office, before President Trump came into office, it had been a challenging time for law enforcement. We all remember those days. Seemed like many reflexively wanted to blame law enforcement anytime tragedy would strike. But that’s no more.

This President has worked closely with your congressman and with your governor to make sure our local law enforcement, through Homeland Security and various other agencies, have the resources and the support that you need. And we have — alongside your governor, this President has given the men and women of law enforcement the respect that you earn every single day. (Applause.)

So I just wanted to come by today and say, on behalf of myself and my wonderful wife Karen, who is traveling with (inaudible) — (applause) — thank you for your service.

You know, the Bible says: If you owe debts, pay debts. If honor, then honor. If respect, then respect. And while we’d stopped and grabbed a couple of hamburgers down at Shep’s — big ones — (laughter) — and we’re headed off to a rally with this outstanding ticket running statewide in Kentucky, I just couldn’t miss the opportunity to come by and pay a debt of gratitude to the men and women that are standing around us here today.

I just want you to know, from your President, your Vice President, your governor: The people of Kentucky and the people of America are grateful to each and every one of you, every single day. You answered a calling in your life that required you to decide that our lives are more important than yours. And I want you to know that we know that. Just as Governor Bevin just said, we understand — we understand the risk that you take when you put on that uniform every morning and walk out the door. It’s not — it’s not like another job.

And so, let me not only say thank you to you, but let me say thank you to your families, thank you to your spouses, thank you to your kids and your grandkids and your parents. Because the men and women in uniform understand that it’s not just they that serve, it’s their families that support them and pray for them and encourage them. So let’s thank the families who (inaudible). (Applause.)

I don’t know what it’s like to wear the uniform that you wear, but I know what it’s like to be a family member. My uncle was a Chicago police officer for 25 years. And when I was a little boy, me and my three brothers and two sisters would go up to Chicago. I’d see him dressed up, heading off to work. And that, to me, was what a hero looked like.

And my cousin’s husband just retired, after 25 years, from the Chicago Fire Department. Coincidentally, he’s Irish. (Laughter.) He’s an extraordinary and courageous man — two years on disability from service-related injuries, but went right back into the fight. So that’s why I want to — I just want to speak a word of gratitude to you and, more than anything else, a word of admiration.

I know the hours are long. And as the governor said, we couldn’t ever pay you what it’s worth for the risks that you take and the lives that you save. But Karen and I just wanted to come by today, along with your governor and your first lady, just to make sure that you know: Every day, people of Kentucky and people of America are grateful — grateful for your service.

And, frankly, we’re grateful to have a governor who’s such a partner in public safety.

From our first days in office, Governor Matt Bevin has been working with this administration, shoulder to shoulder, to uphold the rule of law, to help us enforce our laws at home, support law enforcement, and secure the southern border of the United States of America. And I’m proud to report, in the last four months, we have cut illegal immigration at our southern border in half. (Applause.)

And Governor Matt Bevin has been there every step of the way, standing up for the rule of law, standing up for law and order. And that’s why, when I leave here in just a few minutes, we’re going to go rally with a few friends and tell them just how much I want to see the people of Kentucky give Governor Matt Bevin four more years in the statehouse. (Applause.)

But this stop is about all of you, and I thank you for taking a minute to be with us. And I want to promise you — I know I can speak on behalf of your governor, I know I can speak on behalf of our President and this Vice President and our entire administration when I say: We’re grateful for you. We’re with you. We will continue to stand with you as you stand on the Thin Blue Line of law enforcement, defending our families, our communities, this state, and this nation.

May God bless you and keep you as you serve the people in this community and this state. Thank you all. (Applause.)
