Huge Crowds and Cheers Greet Mitt Romney in Poland
I LOVE this photo! Walesa is a HERO!!! I am so happy he and wonderful Mitt Romney are meeting. Romney meets former Polish President Lech Walesa.
.
Great welcome for Mitt and Ann Romney in Poland.
.
Lech Walesa, the Nobel Prize winner and former Polish president, endorsed Mitt Romney for President.
“I wish you to be successful because this success is needed to the United States, of course, but to Europe and the rest of the world, too. Governor Romney, get your success, be successful!” Walesa said through a translator following their joint meeting in Gdansk. He hit his hand on the table for emphasis.
Wild Thing's comment............
The crowds were huge to see Mitt and Ann Romney. I am thrilled he spent time with Lech Walesa. Mitt also met with Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk at The Gdansk Old Town Hall, in Gdansk, Poland. Mitt, Ann and one of their sons Josh also laid a wreath at the WWII Westerplatte Memorial in Gdansk, Poland. They also placed flowers flowers at the Solidarity Monument Site in Gdansk, Poland.

Federal Court Finds Obama Appointees Interfered With New Black Panther Prosecution
Federal Court Finds Obama Appointees Interfered With New Black Panther Prosecution
A federal court in Washington, DC, held today that political appointees appointed by President Obama did interfere with the Department of Justice’s prosecution of the New Black Panther Party.
The ruling came as part of a motion by the conservative legal watch dog group Judicial Watch, who had sued the DOJ in federal court to enforce a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for documents pertaining to the the New Black Panthers case. Judicial Watch had secured many previously unavailable documents through their suit against DOJ and were now suing for attorneys’ fees.
Obama’s DOJ had claimed Judicial Watch was not entitled to attorney’s fees since “none of the records produced in this litigation evidenced any political interference whatsoever in” how the DOJ handled the New Black Panther Party case. But United States District Court Judge Reggie Walton disagreed. Citing a “series of emails” between Obama political appointees and career Justice lawyers, Walton writes:
The documents reveal that political appointees within DOJ were conferring about the status and resolution of the New Black Panther Party case in the days preceding the DOJ’s dismissal of claims in that case, which would appear to contradict Assistant Attorney General Perez’s testimony that political leadership was not involved in that decision. Surely the public has an interest in documents that cast doubt on the accuracy of government officials’ representations regarding the possible politicization of agency decision-making.
…
In sum, the Court concludes that three of the four fee entitlement factors weigh in favor of awarding fees to Judicial Watch. Therefore, Judicial Watch is both eligible and entitled to fees and costs, and the Court must now consider the reasonableness of Judicial Watch’s requested award.
.
Wild Thing's comment............
Right form Obama and Holder they both protected these creeps, the Black Panthers. Disgusting!!!!!

Olympic Swimmer Gets To Meet Mitt and Ann Romney , She has a great story
.
Swimmer Breeja Larson of the United States, right, is embraced by U.S. Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney at the Aquatics Centre in the Olympic Park during the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Saturday, July 28, 2012.
.
About Breeja.....She’s a 20-year-old who didn’t start year-round club swimming until her senior year of high school.
She’s a kid who was absolutely terrified to attend her first college practice at Texas A&M.
She had a scare with thyroid cancer last summer, only to find out the tumors were benign and everything was all good.
And now she’s an Olympian.
“An hour before this race adrenaline kept rushing through and I was getting really tense about it,” Larson said. “I was just like, ‘stay calm, don't shake it out, wait for the race.’ I tried to make my first 50 a little faster so coming home I might have a chance.’”
Larson trailed Soni after the first 50 before pushing ahead in the second half of the race to beat her at the wall, 1:05.92 to 1:05.99. She signed a London phone booth sitting in a corner of the deck, which every Olympic qualifier has done this week.
Dealing with what could have been cancer to coming out of nowhere and punching her ticket to the Olympics in one year. That’s quite a turnaround.
“I didn’t want to say out loud, ‘What if I don’t make it?’” Larson said. “And I definitely didn’t want to say, “What if I do make it?’ I started thinking … ‘When I make it,’ so if it doesn’t happen I’ll be heart-broken and get over it. But if it does happen it will be great.”
Larson’s story doesn’t stop there. Her family moved to Boise, Idaho when she was in high school and there was not a formal swimming program at her new school. They only swam four hours a week but Larson, who also liked volleyball, track and softball, wanted to choose swimming as her pastime. Her parents told her she would have to pay her own way in college so she was banking on getting a Division 2 scholarship via the pool.
Larson moved in with her aunt and uncle in Arizona and joined a club team that practiced four hours a day. She was finally getting what she wanted and needed. Shortly after that, Larson’s coach hooked her up with Texas A&M coach Steve Bultman and he offered her a swimming scholarship.
That was two years ago. Now she's headed to London.
“He took a big risk in recruiting me,” Larson said of Bultman. “It was really hard. I was the slowest kicker, I probably moved backwards a little bit. All of the drills, I was the last one to the wall and everyone had to be patient waiting for Breeja to come in so we could finish.”
Those days are behind her. In two years she went from last to first.
.
Wild Thing's comment..........
Great story.
These photos are from Opening Night at the Olympics in London. My guess is that the swimmer Breeja and her family are for Romney.

Gov. Scott Walker: The More We Hear From Romney, the Better Off We Are
Gov. Scott Walker: The More We Hear From Romney, the Better Off We Are
Governor Scott Walker (R) talked to Gretchen Carlson about the unemployment situation in Wisconsin on today’s Fox and Friends. The unemployment rate in Wisconsin has gone from 7.7 percent to 6.8, which Walker said has happened since they put a different focus on creating jobs.
Since all 17 states saw a drop much greater than the national unemployment rate, Walker said,
“That’s because of a renewed focus of Republican governors. Whether it’s in my state, whether it’s other states throughout the Midwest and throughout the country, they put the focus on people creating jobs, not just the government and I think that tells you what would happen if we put a chief executive who thought the same way at our national level.”
He continued, “When we say Wisconsin’s open for business, we mean it and I think those are things that Governor Romney is talking about at the national level, which I think provides a great contrast to what we see in Washington.”
Walker said that he believes that the more Romney talks about his agenda to turn the economy around and get our fiscal house in order, the better off he is.
“I also think the more times we hear from Romney, the better off we’re going to be because he’s got a great message.”
.
Wild Thing's comment.............
Good words from a good man. I think all the Republican gov.'s will appreciate if Romney wins. Unlike having to deal with Obama and his socialist agenda messing with every State, every citizen.

Mitt Romney Gives Awesome Speech in Jerusalem
Here is complete video of Gov. Mitt Romney delivering a strong speech in Jerusalem in support of Israel. Romney plainly called out Iran as a threat to the continued existence of Israel, and said “any and all means necessary” should be used to prevent Iran from obtaining Nuclear Weapons. Romney said the U.S. will always stand strong with Israel, and warned Iran is watching to see “who will object and who will look away” from their threats against Israel.

Obama's Regulations Force Record Number Of Coal-Fired Electricity Generators To Be Shut Down
Regulations Force Record Number Of Coal-Fired Electricity Generators To Be Shut Down
Facing declining demand for electricity and stiff federal environmental regulations, coal plant operators are planning to retire 175 coal-fired generators, or 8.5 percent of the total coal-fired capacity in the United States, according to an analysis by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
A record-high 57 generators will shut down in 2012, representing 9 gigawatts of electrical capacity, according to EIA. In 2015, nearly 10 gigawatts of capacity from 61 coal-fired generators will be retired.
While many of those coal plants are old and relatively inefficient, the scope of this new planned shutdown is unprecedented.
“The coal-fired capacity expected to be retired over the next five years is more than four times greater than retirements performed during the preceding five-year period,” EIA noted in the analysis.
The generators that will be retired between 2012 and 2016 are “approximately 12% more efficient than the group of units, on average, that retired during 2009-2011,” according to the EIA.
The low price of natural gas resulting from the shale boom has led to reduced coal consumption and made the shutdowns necessary, experts say.
Wild Thing's comment..............
Obama's goal is to get rid of the coal industry he has stated this during his first campaign to be president. People did not want to pay attention and voted for him anyway.

Barack Obama Erroneously Exaggerated Aid To Israel
Obama says '$70 billion' for Israeli missile defense program -- rather than actual $70 million
Barack Obama erroneously exaggerated the amount of money his administration has provided to an Israeli missile defense program Friday while signing a bill meant to boost U.S.-Israeli security ties.
Obama, who has been criticized for weakening the U.S.-Israel alliance, was attempting to tout his administration’s commitment to the Jewish state when he incorrectly stated that Israel will receive “$70 billion dollars” for its missile defense program.
“I’m very pleased that this week we are going to be able to announce $70 million spending…$70 billion, excuse me, in additional spending for Iron Dome,” Obama said, inflating the actual dollar amount incorrectly.
.
Mark Levin ripped into Barack Obama over the administration’s contempt for all things Israel. This week the administration proved it further by refusing to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Mark Levin told his audience,
“Obama hates Israel and he’s demonstrated it time and time again… I never thought I’d be living in a time to hear an administration which wouldn’t even state what the capital of an ally is.”

Obama signals support for new gun laws vs. Mitt Romney Says 'New Gun Laws Not Needed'
Obama has added his voice to the push for stricter gun control in the wake of the massacre last week at a Colorado movie theater.
Obama, speaking Wednesday evening to the National Urban League, affirmed his belief in Americans' right to own guns, but he singled out assault rifles as better suited for the battlefield.
"I believe the Second Amendment guarantees an individual the right to bear arms," Obama said. "But I also believe that a lot of gun owners would agree that AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers, not on the streets of our cities."
The president, in making the comments, went further than he typically does in suggesting Washington open a new debate on gun control. It's a topic he has handled lightly in the past, but his remarks Wednesday night follow statements from vocal gun control advocates like New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg calling for new restrictions.
Republicans, though, have largely said new laws are not the answer. Mitt Romney, pressed on the gun control issue in an NBC News interview during a visit to London, said changing laws won't "make all bad things go away."
"I don't happen to believe that America needs new gun laws. A lot of what this ... young man did was clearly against the law. But the fact that it was against the law did not prevent it from happening," he said.
James Holmes, a 24-year-old grad school dropout, is accused of opening fire in a midnight showing of the new Batman movie in Aurora, Colo., killing 12 and injuring dozens. Police say he used a shotgun, semi-automatic rifle and handgun in the shooting, and another handgun was found in his car -- all purchased legally, as was 6,000 rounds of ammunition.

Congressional Budget Office Says Obamacare Levies $1 Trillion In New Taxes
Obamacare Levies $1 Trillion In New Taxes
Obama’s health care law raises taxes by $1 trillion, according to a new report from the Congressional Budget Office.
The individual mandate — which the CBO calls a “penalty tax,” in apparent deference to Chief Justice John Roberts — will produce $55 billion in “penalty payments by uninsured individuals,” the CBO told House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio, in a Tuesday letter. Of course, the framers of the law didn’t design the mandate as a tax, and so it produces less revenue than any other provision in the bill.
The “additional hospital insurance tax” is the largest tax increase in Obamacare, projected to bring in $318 billion in new revenues. According to the 2010 report from the Journal of Accountancy, this tax hits “high-income tax payers” — individuals making over $125,000 a year or households making over $250,000 a year.
Wild Thing's comment..............

Support for Chik-fil-A is getting national attention ~ Fantastic!
Dan Cathy, the president and chief operating officer of popular fast food chain Chick-fil-A, said in a radio interview this week that legalizing same-sex marriage is “inviting God’s judgment on our nation.”
Appearing on “The Ken Coleman Show,” Cathy spoke of his company’s pride in its socially conservative character, but then offered an assessment of same-sex marriage that might lose the chain a few customers.
“I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, ‘We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage,’” said Cathy.
.
Chick-fil-A is promoting National Eat at Chick-fil-A Day on August 1st.
‘Imagine how clearly that message would be heard across the nation if Chick-fil-A reported record sales this Wednesday!’ said [National Organization for Marriage's’ [Brian] Brown, who has joined Huckabee in supporting Chick-fil-A day. ‘Please join me this Wednesday in supporting this courageous company, while at the same time sending a powerful message of support to every individual and every company with the courage to stand for marriage.’”

Christie says he's open to 2016 presidential bid ~ Please NO!
Christie says he's open to 2016 presidential bid
OCEAN CITY, N.J. (AP) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie says he's open to running for president in four years if the job is open.
The first-term Republican says he hopes fellow Republican Mitt Romney beats President Barack Obama in November and seeks re-election in 2016. But if the presidency is open, Christie says he'll "certainly think about it."
Christie rebuffed an opportunity to seek the GOP nomination this year. He was asked Wednesday at a boardwalk stop in Ocean City about running for the top spot in the next election.
He said: "If there's an opportunity for me to serve in another capacity and I think I have something to add to the mix, I don't think I'd back away from it."
Christie has been mentioned as a possible Republican convention keynote speaker.
.
Wild Thing's comment...............
Christie will never be President. His brash personality may be acceptable in the North East States but it will never be a hit in a lot of other States. For the same reason in reverse that Bobby Jindhal or Bob McDonnell , Rick Perry, Portman and many others would never be elected in Christie's state. Christie's rants are already getting old even if they are made at jerks.
Plus he was all for the mosque at Ground Zero. When conservatives protested his strong stance on the mosque by sending him emails etc. Christie verbally attacked conservatives in a press conference.
He will not support Jessica's Law in his State. Bill O'Reilly even has a petition for people to sign to try and get Gov. Cuomo and Gov. Christie to change their minds.
He supports Obamacare He refused to join the other 26 States to sue ObamaCare. He supports gun control While he cut spending, Christie relied on stimulus funding for his state
One last thing, his saying maybe 2016 is saying that he does not Romney to get two terms if he wins and this is negative and shows how phony Christie's endorsement was for Romney. I am praying hard that Romney wins and we get Obama out of office for good. I also pray if that happens we never have another democrat president in my lifetime.
When Whitney Houston died Christie put the Flag at half staff and I posted about a Marine that spoke out against what Christie did.

Mayor Bloomberg: Police Officers Should Not Protect Americans Until Strict Gun Control Is Enacted - This is INSANE
Mayor Bloomberg: Police Officers Should Not Protect Americans Until Strict Gun Control Is Enacted
You can now see why this clown had to spend $103 million to get reelected mayor in NYC (and still only barely won). Bloomberg on CNN said the he doesn’t understand why police officers don’t go on strike until something’s done about guns.
Mayor Michael Bloomberg is calling for drastic action to get lawmakers to crack down on guns in the wake of the massacre in Colorado.
He believes the nation’s police officers have it in their power to get political leaders moving on gun control.
Appearing on CNN’s “Piers Morgan Tonight” on Monday, the mayor urged police officers, who stand in the front lines against violent criminals, to take a stand to prompt Congress to renew the expired federal ban on assault weapons.
“I don’t understand why the police officers across this country don’t stand up collectively and say, ‘We’re gonna go on strike. We’re not going to protect you unless you, the public, through your legislature, do what’s required to keep us safe,’” Bloomberg said.
“After all, police officers want to go home to their families and we’re doing everything we can to make their jobs more difficult,” the mayor added.
.
UPDATE;
Bloomberg walks back statement...but just a wee bit.- Wild Thing
“I didn’t mean literally go on strike,” he said at a Tuesday event about the economic impact of same-sex marriage. “In fact, in New York, they can’t go on strike. There’s a law against it.”
.
Wild Thing's comment......
He not only owes EVERY American an apology for that ill thought out comment, he needs to step the hell down from his position.
Absolutely disgusting.

Mitt Romney Gives Speech To VFW and Gets Standing Ovation ( full video and transcript)
Here is complete video of Gov. Mitt Romney’s speech yesterday to the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars (VFW). Romney praised the veterans for their incredible service to America. He also took the occasion to set forth his vision of Foreign Policy, and hammered Barack Obama for his policies that have made America weaker both home, and abroad.
Very strong speech by Romney. He went after Obama for putting his own political interests ahead of the nation, citing the National Security leaks from his administration to the media. Romney was greeted warmly by the VFW, and received repeated rounds of applause during his remarks.
.
TRANSCRIPT: Mitt Romney’s Remarks at VFW National Convention
delivered remarks at the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Convention in Reno, Nevada. The following is a transcript of the remarks as prepared for delivery:
“Thank you. Commander Richard DeNoyer, I appreciate the introduction, and I’m proud to see a combat veteran from Massachusetts serving as National Commander of the VFW.
Ladies Auxiliary President Gwen Rankin, incoming National Commander John Hamilton, incoming Ladies Auxiliary President Leanne Lemley, Adjutant General Allen “Gunner” Kent, Executive Director Bob Wallace, distinguished guests and members of the VFW: Thank you for your generous welcome.
I want to start today with a few words about the unimaginable tragedy in Colorado last week. We’ve since learned that among the victims were four people who had served – or were serving – our country in uniform. Today, our hearts go out to the families of John Larimer of the U.S. Navy; Rebecca Wingo, an Air Force veteran; Jesse Childress, an Army veteran and member of the Air Force reserve; and Jonathan Blunk, a Navy veteran who died shielding his girlfriend from the spray of bullets. The loss of four Americans who served our country only adds to the profound tragedy of that day. All Americans are grateful for their service and deeply saddened by their deaths. We mourn them and we will remember them.
The VFW is now over two million strong. It has a special place in America’s heart. Some of you fought recently, in Iraq or Afghanistan. Others are old enough to have marched, flown, or sailed by orders of Franklin D. Roosevelt. Whatever your age, whether you are a Republican or a Democrat, whenever you served – there’s one thing you have in common: You answered the call of your country in a time of war. From December 7th, 1941 to September 11, 2001, whenever America has been tested, you stepped forward. You come from our farms, our great cities, our small towns and quiet neighborhoods. Many of you have known violence so that your neighbors could only know peace. You have done more than protect America; your courage and service defines America. You are America at our best and it is an honor to address you.
Our veterans are part of a proud tradition that stretches back to the battlefields at Lexington and Concord – and now to places like Fallujah and Kandahar. Year after year, our men and women in uniform have added proud achievements to their record of service. And President Obama pointed to some of them yesterday in his speech.
Any time our military accomplishes a vital mission it is a proud moment for our nation. But we owe our veterans and our military more than just an accounting of our successes. They deserve a fair and frank assessment of the whole picture – of where we are and where we want to be. And when it comes to national security and foreign policy, as with our economy, the last few years have been a time of declining influence and missed opportunity.
Just consider some of the challenges I discussed at your last national convention:
Since then, has the American economy recovered?
Has our ability to shape world events been enhanced, or diminished?
Have we gained greater confidence among our allies, and greater respect from our adversaries?
And, perhaps most importantly, has the most severe security threat facing America and our friends, a nuclear-armed Iran, become more or less likely?
These clear measures are the ultimate tests of American leadership. And, by these standards, we haven’t seen much in the President’s first term that inspires confidence in a second.
The President’s policies have made it harder to recover from the deepest recession in seventy years … exposed the military to cuts that no one can justify … compromised our national-security secrets … and in dealings with other nations, given trust where it is not earned, insult where it is not deserved, and apology where it is not due.
From Berlin to Cairo to the United Nations, President Obama has shared his view of America and its place among nations. I have come here today to share mine.
I am an unapologetic believer in the greatness of this country. I am not ashamed of American power. I take pride that throughout history our power has brought justice where there was tyranny, peace where there was conflict, and hope where there was affliction and despair. I do not view America as just one more point on the strategic map, one more power to be balanced. I believe our country is the greatest force for good the world has ever known, and that our influence is needed as much now as ever. And I am guided by one overwhelming conviction and passion: This century must be an American Century.
In 1941, Henry Luce called on his countrymen – just then realizing their strength – “to create the first great American century.” And they succeeded: together with their allies, they won World War II, they rescued Europe, they defeated Communism, and America took its place as leader of the free world. Across the globe, they fought, they bled, they led. They showed the world the extraordinary courage of the American heart and the generosity of the American spirit.
That courage and generosity remains unchanged today. But sadly, this president has diminished American leadership, and we are reaping the consequences. The world is dangerous, destructive, chaotic. And the two men running to be your commander-in-chief must offer their answers to the challenges we face.
Like a watchman in the night, we must remain at our post – and keep guard of the freedom that defines and ennobles us, and our friends. In an American Century, we have the strongest economy and the strongest military in the world. In an American Century, we secure peace through our strength. And if by absolute necessity we must employ it, we must wield our strength with resolve. In an American Century, we lead the free world and the free world leads the entire world.
If we do not have the strength or vision to lead, then other powers will take our place, pulling history in a very different direction. A just and peaceful world depends on a strong and confident America. I pledge to you that if I become commander-in-chief, the United States of America will fulfill its duty, and its destiny.
American leadership depends, as it always has, on our economic strength, on our military strength, and on our moral strength. If any of these falter, no skill of diplomacy or presidential oratory can compensate. Today, the strength of our economy is in jeopardy.
A healthy American economy is what underwrites American power. When growth is missing, government revenue falls, social spending rises, and many in Washington look to cut defense spending as an easy out. That includes our current President.
Today, we are just months away from an arbitrary, across-the-board budget reduction that would saddle the military with a trillion dollars in cuts, severely shrink our force structure, and impair our ability to meet and deter threats. Don’t bother trying to find a serious military rationale behind any of this, unless that rationale is wishful thinking. Strategy is not driving President Obama’s massive defense cuts. In fact, his own Secretary of Defense warned that these reductions would be “devastating.” And he is right.
That devastation starts at home. These cuts would only weaken an already stretched VA system and impair our solemn commitment that every veteran receives care second to none. I will not allow that to happen.
This is not the time for the President’s radical cuts in the military. Look around the globe. Other major powers are rapidly adding to their military capabilities, some with intentions very different from ours. The regime in Tehran is drawing closer to developing a nuclear weapon. The threat of radical Islamic terrorism persists. The threat of weapons of mass destruction proliferation is ever-present. And we are still at war and still have uniformed men and women in conflict.
All this and more is ongoing in the world. And yet the President has chosen this moment for wholesale reductions in the nation’s military capacity. When the biggest announcement in his last State of the Union address on improving our military was that the Pentagon will start using more clean energy – then you know it’s time for a change.
We’re not the first people to observe this. It is reported that Bob Gates, the President’s first secretary of defense, bluntly addressed another security problem within this administration. After secret operational details of the bin Laden raid were given to reporters, Secretary Gates walked into the West Wing and told the Obama team to “shut up.” He added a colorful word for emphasis.
Lives of American servicemen and women are at stake. But astonishingly, the administration failed to change its ways. More top-secret operations were leaked, even some involving covert action in Iran.
This isn’t a partisan issue; it’s a national security crisis. And yesterday, Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein, Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said, quote, “I think the White House has to understand that some of this is coming from their ranks.”
This conduct is contemptible. It betrays our national interest. It compromises our men and women in the field. And it demands a full and prompt investigation by a special counsel, with explanation and consequence. Obama appointees, who are accountable to President Obama’s Attorney General, should not be responsible for investigating the leaks coming from the Obama White House.
Whoever provided classified information to the media, seeking political advantage for the administration, must be exposed, dismissed, and punished. The time for stonewalling is over.
It is not enough to say the matter is being looked into, and leave it at that. When the issue is the political use of highly sensitive national security information, it is unacceptable to say, “We’ll report our findings after Election Day.”
Exactly who in the White House betrayed these secrets? Did a superior authorize it? These are things that Americans are entitled to know – and they are entitled to know right now. If the President believes – as he said last week – that the buck stops with him, then he owes all Americans a full and prompt accounting of the facts.
And let me make this very clear: These events make the decision we face in November all the more important. What kind of White House would reveal classified material for political gain? I’ll tell you right now: Mine won’t.
The harm done when national security secrets are betrayed extends, of course, to the trust that allies place in the United States.
The operating principle of American foreign policy has been to work with our allies so that we can deter aggression before it breaks out into open conflict. That policy depends on nurturing our alliances and standing up for our common values.
Yet the President has moved in the opposite direction.
It began with the sudden abandonment of friends in Poland and the Czech Republic. They had courageously agreed to provide sites for our anti-missile systems, only to be told, at the last hour, that the agreement was off. As part of the so-called reset in policy, missile defenses were sacrificed as a unilateral concession to the Russian government.
If that gesture was designed to inspire good will from Russia, it clearly missed the mark. The Russian government defended the dictator in Damascus, arming him as he slaughtered the Syrian people.
We can only guess what Vladimir Putin makes of the Obama administration. He regained the Russian presidency in a corrupt election, and for that, he got a congratulatory call from the Oval Office. And then there was that exchange picked up by a microphone that President Obama didn’t know was on. We heard him asking Dmitry Medvedev to tell Mr. Putin to give him “space.” “This is my last election,” President Obama said, and “After my election I’ll have more flexibility.”
Why is flexibility with Russian leaders more important than transparency to the American people?
President Obama had a moment of candor, however, just the other day. He said that the actions of the Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez have not had a serious national security impact on us. In my view, inviting Hezbollah into our hemisphere is severe, serious, and a threat.
But at least he was consistent. After all, this is the president who faltered when the Iranian people were looking for support in their struggle against the ayatollahs. That uprising was treated as an inconvenient problem for the President’s policy of engagement, instead of as a moral and strategic opportunity. That terrible misjudgment should never be repeated. When unarmed women and men in Tehran find the courage to confront their oppressors, at risk of torture and death, they should hear the unequivocal voice of an American president affirming their right to be free.
I will leave Reno this evening on a trip abroad that will take me to England, Poland, and Israel. And since I wouldn’t venture into another country to question American foreign policy, I will tell you right here – before I leave – what I think of this administration’s shabby treatment of one of our finest friends.
President Obama is fond of lecturing Israel’s leaders. He was even caught by a microphone deriding them. He has undermined their position, which was tough enough as it was. And even at the United Nations, to the enthusiastic applause of Israel’s enemies, he spoke as if our closest ally in the Middle East was the problem.
The people of Israel deserve better than what they have received from the leader of the free world. And the chorus of accusations, threats, and insults at the United Nations should never again include the voice of the President of the United States.
There are values, causes, and nations that depend on American strength, on the clarity of our purpose, and on the reliability of our commitments. There is work in this world that only America and our allies can do, hostile powers that only we can deter, and challenges that only we can overcome.
For the past decade, among those challenges has been the war in Afghanistan. As commander-in-chief, I will have a solemn duty to our men and women in uniform. A president owes our troops, their families, and the American people a clear explanation of our mission, and a commitment not to play politics with the decisions of war.
I have been critical of the President’s decision to withdraw the surge troops during the fighting season, against the advice of the commanders on the ground. President Obama would have you believe that anyone who disagrees with his decisions is arguing for endless war. But the route to more war – and to potential attacks here at home – is a politically timed retreat.
As president, my goal in Afghanistan will be to complete a successful transition to Afghan security forces by the end of 2014. I will evaluate conditions on the ground and solicit the best advice of our military commanders. And I will affirm that my duty is not to my political prospects, but to the security of the nation.
We face another continuing challenge in a rising China. China is attentive to the interests of its government – but it too often disregards the rights of its people. It is selective in the freedoms it allows; and, as with its one-child policy, it can be ruthless in crushing the freedoms it denies. In conducting trade with America, it permits flagrant patent and copyright violations … forestalls American businesses from competing in its market … and manipulates its currency to obtain unfair advantage. It is in our mutual interest for China to be a partner for a stable and secure world, and we welcome its participation in trade. But the cheating must finally be brought to a stop. President Obama hasn’t done it and won’t do it. I will.
We’ll need that same clarity of purpose and resolve in the Middle East. America cannot be neutral in the outcome there. We must clearly stand for the values of representative government, economic opportunity, and human rights. And we must stand against the extension of Iranian or jihadist influence.
Egypt is at the center of this historical drama. In many ways, it has the power to tip the balance in the Arab world toward freedom and modernity. As president, I will not only direct the billions in assistance we give to Egypt toward that goal, but I will also work with partner nations to place conditions on their assistance as well. Unifying our collective influence behind a common purpose will foster the development of a government that represents all Egyptians, maintains peace with Israel, and promotes peace throughout the region. The United States is willing to help Egypt support peace and prosperity, but we will not be complicit in oppression and instability.
There is no greater danger in the world today than the prospect of the ayatollahs in Tehran possessing nuclear weapons capability. Yet for all the talks and conferences, all of the extensions and assurances, can anyone say we are farther from this danger now than four years ago?
The same ayatollahs who each year mark a holiday by leading chants of “Death to America” are not going to be talked out of their pursuit of nuclear weapons. What’s needed is all the firmness, clarity, and moral courage that we and our allies can gather. Sanctions must be enforced without exception, cutting off the regime’s sources of wealth. Negotiations must secure full and unhindered access for inspections. As it is, the Iranian regime claims the right to enrich nuclear material for supposedly peaceful purposes. This claim is discredited by years of deception. A clear line must be drawn: There must be a full suspension of any enrichment, period.
And at every turn, Iran must know that the United States and our allies stand as one in these critical objectives. Only in this way can we successfully counter the catastrophic threat that Iran presents. I pledge to you and to all Americans that if I become commander-in-chief, I will use every means necessary to protect ourselves and the region, and to prevent the worst from happening while there is still time.
It is a mistake – and sometimes a tragic one – to think that firmness in American foreign policy can bring only tension or conflict. The surest path to danger is always weakness and indecision. In the end, it is resolve that moves events in our direction, and strength that keeps the peace.
I will not surrender America’s leadership in the world. We must have confidence in our cause, clarity in our purpose, and resolve in our might.
This is very simple: if you do not want America to be the strongest nation on earth, I am not your President. You have that President today.
The 21st century can and must be an American Century. It began with terror, war, and economic calamity. It is our duty to steer it onto the path of freedom, peace, and prosperity.
Fewer members of the Greatest Generation are with us today – and they can’t hold the torch as high as they have in the past. We must now seize the torch they carried so gallantly and at such sacrifice. It is an eternal torch of decency, freedom and hope. It is not America’s torch alone. But it is America’s duty – and honor – to hold it high enough so that all the world can see its light.
Believe in America.
Thank you and God Bless the United States of America.”

Lots of applause and the VFW Gives Mitt Romney a Standing Ovation for this Statement Hammering Obama’s Foreign Policy: “In Dealing with other Nations, He has given Trust where it is Not Earned, Insult where it was Not Deserved, and Apology where it is Not Due” .
If I may suggest to every person that is going to vote in this next election to watch this video you will not be sorry. Mitt hit important topics and one can feel it was right from his heart. More and more I am impressed with Mitt, the more I learn, the more I hear him speak.

Lemonade Stand Girls to Obama: We Built Our Business, Mr. President!
Lemonade Stand Girls to Obama: We Built Our Business, Mr. President!
Statements made by President Obama in Roanoke, VA on July 13th, which seemed to discredit the hard work of small business owners, are under attack (yet again) by even the youngest of our nation’s entrepreneurs.
Seven-year old Clara and four-year old Eliza Sutton, founders of ‘Cool Blast Lemonade’, react to Obama’s remarks during a ‘Fox & Friends’ interview with co-host Brian Kilmeade.
A pair of sisters who run a thriving lemonade stand in Texas beg to differ with President Obama's message that entrepreneurs "didn't get there on your own," and several grownups who groom the next generation of small business owners say the kids are right.
Clara Sutton, 7, and little sister Eliza, 4, started CoolBlast Lemonade in their suburban Houston neighborhood, and quickly generated business brisk enough to bring on another employee, younger brother Eirik. Their father said the kids have gotten a business education right out in front of their home under the watchful eyes of their parents -- but with no help from the government.
“Nobody helped them except us," Andrew Sutton, 35, said. "They did it on their own.”
Clara Sutton didn't credit local, state or federal government for the stand's success, and said she's enjoyed learning the ropes of small business.
“You learn how to make change," Clara said. "We learned about customer service -- that we should always be nice to customers. We learned how to advertise.
“We donate some of the money to charity to help other people out," she continued. "We use the rest for supplies. We might buy a gift for our brother since he’s our employee.”
Andrew Sutton said the children expressed an interest in running their own business and he mostly just got out of the way.
“My wife and I both run our own businesses, so running a lemonade stand with them was showing them what they do," Sutton said. "They were curious how we got money for things. It’s been a positive experience for them."
As for President Obama's take on the debt business owners owe to the government, Sutton, who has his own music instruction business, said he was steamed.
“It was not very presidential," Sutton said. "A leader should lead by being more positive. He should of said, “you guys should be the backbone of the economy.”

Economist John Williams Explains that Real Unemployment is Actually as High as “23 Percent” in the U.S. – Video
Economist John Williams Explains that Real Unemployment is Actually as High as “23 Percent” in the U.S.
Economist John Williams on the Fox Business Network today with host Tom Sullivan. Williams makes the startling claim that unemployment in the U.S. is actually as high as 23%. Williams explains that’s if you count as “unemployed” the “long-term discouraged workers” who have been unemployed for so long they have given up looking for work. The Government no longer counts those folks as “unemployed,” even though, they clearly are.
Wild Thing's comment.........
This is very serious, we all knew it was higher then we have been told. But now they are at least admitting it and discussing how high it is. I am glad they are finally saying how it is, maybe it will wake a few more people up before the election.

The liberals are so predictable. Every single time there is a shooting there will always be a certain amount of liberals screaming about gun control of some kind. They spend more time talking about banning guns or a type of gun then they do speaking about the tragedy.......that is shameful.

Romney on Obama's Attack On Business Owners :“The Context is Worse Than the Quote” (Video)
LARRY KUDLOW: “Why do you think President Obama, what did he mean, if you’ve got a business, you didn’t build it, someone else made that happen? He claims it’s being taken out of context. What do you think it means? Do you think this is Obama anti-business, anti-entrepreneur? Or do you think maybe he has been treated unfairly?”
GOV. ROMNEY: “Well, just read the whole speech. I found the speech even more disconcerting than just that particular line. The context is worse than the quote. The context, he says, you know, you think you’ve been successful because you’re smart, but he says a lot of people are smart. You think you’ve been successful because you work hard, a lot of people work hard. This is an ideology which says hey, we’re all the same here, we ought to take from all and give to one another and that achievement, individual initiative and risk-taking and success are not to be rewarded as they have in the past. It’s a very strange and in some respects foreign to the American experience type of philosophy. We have always been a nation that has celebrated success of various kinds. The kid that gets the honor roll, the individual worker that gets a promotion, the person that gets a better job. And in fact, the person that builds a business. And by the way, if you have a business and you started it, you did build it. And you deserve credit for that. It was not built for you by government. And by the way, we pay for government. Government doesn’t come free. The people who begin enterprises, the people who work in enterprises, they’re the ones paying for government. So his whole philosophy is an upside-down philosophy that does not comport with the American experience. And if we want to get people working again–and that’s my priority–if we want to get people working again, we have to celebrate success and achievement and not demonize it and denigrate the people who have worked hard, who are smart, who have made the kinds of investments to build a brighter future.”

Elderly Man Samuel Williams Shoots Robbers at Internet Cafe
Elderly Man Samuel Williams Shoots Robbers at Internet Cafe
Samuel Williams could soon become a poster child for concealed carry. Or rather a poster senior citizen.
Williams is being hailed as a hero this week after he sprung into action on Friday to thwart an armed robbery at an internet cafe. Williams was present when two masked thugs walked into the Palms Internet Cafe in Marion County, Florida. One of the men was brandishing a gun while the other had a bat. They started ordering patrons around and one smashes a computer screen. That’s when Williams took action.
Williams was seated toward the back of the cafe dressed in a white shirt, shorts and baseball cap.
One of the masked men, identified as Duwayne Henderson, 19, comes in pointing a handgun at customers. The second man, Davis Dawkins, 19, is seen swinging a bat at something off screen, which was later identified as a $1,200 computer screen.
As Henderson turns his back, Williams pulls out a .380-caliber semi-automatic handgun, stands from his chair, takes two steps, nearly drops to one knee, and fires two shots at Henderson, who bolts for the front door.
Williams takes several more steps toward the door and continues firing as Henderson and Dawkins fall over one another trying to exit the building. The two eventually run off screen.
Both of the crooks suffered non-life threatening gunshot wounds and were later captured. And according to police, Williams — a licensed concealed carry gun owner — won’t face any repercussions.
“Based on what I have seen and what I know at this time, I don’t anticipate filing any charges,” Bill Gladson of the State Attorney’s Office, told Ocala.com.
But he’s not the only one talking. Some of the customers are. And they’re grateful for what Williams did.
“I think he is wonderful. If he wouldn’t have been there, there could have been some innocent people shot,” said Mary Beach.
UPDATE:
Ocala.com also has an interview with one of the robbers, Duwayne Henderson. In it, Henderson describes the robbery from his perspective:
“I feel horrible. It doesn’t feel good. It makes you think about life’s decisions, and how you should live your life,” Henderson said in an interview with the Star-Banner at the jail on Saturday afternoon.
Hours after his release from the hospital, Henderson, who talked about the pain he feels in his buttock and hip, said the plan was to “barge in, get the money and leave.” He said “he never expected anyone to be armed.”
“The gun was broken and rusty and wasn’t loaded. Nobody was going to get hurt,” he said, standing with crutches.
Retrieving the customers’ phones was what he said was their “main priority.” That way, he said, the customers could not call law enforcement officials.
Henderson theorizes the reason why he was caught off guard is because, when Dawkins entered the business, he busted a computer monitor with the baseball bat and “glass got into his face.”
“He couldn’t warn me,” Henderson said.
With the glass temporarily blinding his friend, Henderson noticed two women were behind the counter and he thought that was “fishy.” Turning around to see what the women were doing, Henderson said he was shot.
“I turned around to run and my
leg gave out. That was when I got shot. I hit the ground, and he was still shooting. I thought I was going to die,” Henderson said.
Henderson said that, “by the grace of God,” his “leg came back.”
“I ran,” he said.
He and his counterpart, Davis Dawkins, fled to a friend’s house and were eventually apprehended. Henderson says Dawkins used to be an employee at the cafe and knew there would be money on hand.
And even though Henderson seems to be carrying some remorse, he still has a bone to pick with Williams, the elderly man who shot him, for firing while he (Henderson) was on the ground.
“I was down, and I’m not going to continue to shoot you,” he said.
A piece of information Williams didn’t have the luxury of knowing.

Poverty Under Obama Rising to Highest Level Since 1960s
Poverty Under Obama Rising to Highest Level Since 1960s
The ranks of America's poor are on track to climb to levels unseen in nearly half a century, erasing gains from the war on poverty in the 1960s amid a weak economy and fraying government safety net.
Census figures for 2011 will be released this fall in the critical weeks ahead of the November elections.
The Associated Press surveyed more than a dozen economists, think tanks and academics, both nonpartisan and those with known liberal or conservative leanings, and found a broad consensus: The official poverty rate will rise from 15.1 percent in 2010, climbing as high as 15.7 percent. Several predicted a more modest gain, but even a 0.1 percentage point increase would put poverty at the highest since 1965.
Poverty is spreading at record levels across many groups, from underemployed workers and suburban families to the poorest poor. More discouraged workers are giving up on the job market, leaving them vulnerable as unemployment aid begins to run out. Suburbs are seeing increases in poverty, including in such political battlegrounds as Colorado, Florida and Nevada, where voters are coping with a new norm of living hand to mouth.

I think if there ever is a true history written about Obama. It will say he was the most destructive to our country, that his agenda drove our country into poverty, his historical socialized medicine ( obamacare), and that would just be for starters.
If he had a soul he would feel he had to put his agenda aside for the survival of America, but he doesn't see it that way. IMO he really thinks his way is how it should be. Marxist!!!!

Aurora, Colorado Movie Theater Shooting: 12 Dead; James Holmes Held as Suspect
Aurora, Colorado Movie Theater Shooting: 12 Dead; James Holmes Held as Suspect
A lone gunman dressed in riot gear burst into a movie theater in Aurora, Colo., at a midnight showing of the Batman film "The Dark Knight Rises" and methodically began shooting patrons, killing at least 12 people and injuring at least 50.
The suspect, James Holmes, 24, of Aurora, was caught by police in the parking lot of the Century 16 Movie Theaters, nine miles outside Denver, after police began receiving dozens of 911 calls at 12:39 a.m. MT. Police said the man appeared to have acted alone.
Witnesses in the movie theater said Holmes crashed into the auditorium through an emergency exit about 30 minutes into the film, set off a smoke bomb, and began shooting. Holmes stalked the aisles of the theater, shooting people at random, as panicked movie-watchers in the packed auditorium tried to escape, witnesses said.
"You just smelled smoke and you just kept hearing it, you just heard bam bam bam, non-stop. The gunman never had to reload. Shots just kept going, kept going, kept going," one witness told ABC News.
"I'm with coworkers and we're on the floor praying to God we don't get shot, and the gunshots continue on and on, and when the sound finally stopped, we started to get up and people were just bleeding," another theatergoer said.
Police said 10 victims died inside the theater, while dozens of others were taken to local hospitals, including a child as young as 6 years old.
A San Diego woman identifying herself as James Holmes's mother spoke briefly with ABC News this morning.
She had awoken unaware of the news of the shooting and had not been contacted by authorities. She immediately expressed concern that her son may have been involved.
"You have the right person," she said.
"I need to call the police," she added. "I need to fly out to Colorado."
Holmes was wearing a bullet-proof vest and riot helmet and carrying a gas mask, rifle, and handgun, when he was apprehended, according to police. Holmes mentioned having explosives stored, leading police to evacuate his entire North Aurora apartment complex and search the buildings early this morning.
The highly-anticipated third installment of the Batman triology opened to packed auditoriums around the country at midnight showings on Friday morning, and features a villain named Bane who wears a bulletproof vest and gas mask. Trailers for the movie show explosions at public events including a football game. Though many moviegoers dressed in costume to attend the opening night screening, police have made no statements about any connection between the gunman's motives and the movie.

Mitt Romney: "This Election is About the Soul of America" -- The Government or the Individual
Speaking yesterday at a Town Hall Meeting in Bowling Green, Ohio, Mitt Romney framed the 2012 Election as a battle for the “Soul of America
.” By that Romney explained it is a battle over whether we will stay true to the Founders belief that our rights as individuals flow from “the Creator” or from “Government.” Will the freedom of the individual remain supreme, or will the role of Government as central in our society be the course we take.
“Barack Obama’s attempt to denigrate and diminish the achievement of the individual diminishes us all.” – Mitt Romney

Obama's Energy Department Can’t Locate $500,000 in Stimulus Money - Good Grief!
Energy Department Can’t Locate $500,000 in Stimulus Money
The Energy Department can’t figure out how hundreds of thousands of dollars in “green energy” stimulus money earmarked for manufacturing equipment was spent, according to a new report from the agency’s Inspector General.
DOE’s IG stated in a July 2012 audit report that $500,000 of equipment bought with stimulus money to fund the Advanced Batteries and Hybrid Components Program cannot be located.
The authors of the report examined three recipients of stimulus money: A123 Systems, Inc., Delphi Automotive Systems and Johnson Controls, Inc. The report claims that “one of the three recipients” does not have information that provides the location of purchased equipment.
“Despite the assistance of recipient officials familiar with the premises and knowledgeable about the purchases made, we were unable to locate 20 of the 37 equipment items sampled,” the report states. “The missing items were valued at approximately $500,000.”
The authors of the report would not release the name of the recipient that lost the $500,000.
The stimulus allocated $2 billion “to support the construction of U.S. based battery and electric drive component manufacturing plants.” In all, it gave 30 grants worth $1.2 billion to for-profit manufactures.
Although the DoE requires that for-profit manufacturing grant recipients display “best commercial practices,” a set criterion to fit this standard does not exist.
“Regulations currently require for-profit recipients to follow best commercial practices, but do not define such practices,” the report states. “One recipient in our sample had purchased about $24 million in equipment and services without adequately documenting purchasing decisions.”
It also concluded that the Department “obtain and review required audit reports to ensure the sufficiency of internal controls and compliance with laws and regulations” in order to improve its administering of the Advanced Batteries and Hybrid Components Program. “Of 28 program recipients, 8 had not submitted required reports.”

“Navy SEAL’s, Special Operations Personnel and Veteran’s across America have been outraged since Barack Obama conveniently took credit for killing Osama Bin Laden for political gain,” a statement announcing the launch of SOFA said. “The active duty military has no voice as they are forbidden to publicly engage in the political campaign process and it is career suicide for senior military leaders to speak out against the President.”
Mr. Zinke, who has frequently slammed the president’s handling of the raid that killed Osama bin Laden, reiterated his criticisms of the operation.
“The President has failed and he is jeopardizing the safety of our troops, their families and our National security for political gain. Obama has exposed the identity of special operations units, leaked classified information, and limited the rules of engagement of forces on the ground,” said Mr. Zinke. “For those who have taken an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and domestic, it is a call of duty to take back America from a Commander-in-Chief that is incapable of understanding the sacrifices that have been made for the values that have made America great.”
Mr. Zinke has served in the Montana State Senate since 2009. According to Afghanistan and Iraq Veterans for Congress, a political action committee dedicated to electing Republican vets, Mr. Zinke was a member of SEAL Team Six, the elite unit that killed Bin Laden, from 1990 until 1993 and from 1996 until 1999. He held several titles including Task Force Commander. In 2004, In 2004, was named “Deputy and acting Commander, Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force-Arabian Peninsula in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM” in that capacity he “led a force of over 3500 Special Operations personnel in Iraq in the conduct of 360 combat patrols, 48 Direct Action missions, and hundreds of sensitive operations” and “was responsible for killing or capturing 72 known enemy insurgents and terrorists.”

Tax Return Hypocrisy: Pelosi, Reid Won't Release Their Tax Filings
Tax Return Hypocrisy: Pelosi, Reid Won't Release Their Filings
Democrats shouting the loudest about Mitt Romney’s reluctance to release his tax returns do not apply the same standards to themselves, according to a McClatchy News Service report.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California and Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada, the two Democratic leaders of the Senate and the House of Representatives, are among hundreds of elected officials from both parties who refused to release their tax records, McClatchy reported.
Pelosi said Romney was unfit to serve as President or even in the Cabinet because of his refusal so far to release all of his returns and Reid said Romney wasn’t even fit to be dogcatcher.
But just 17 out of the 535 members of Congress released their most recent tax forms or provided some similar documentation of their tax liabilities in response to requests from McClatchy over the last three months, the news service reported, indicating a double standard.
Another 19 members flat out refused and the rest didn’t even bother to respond to McClatchy’s request.
Pelosi aides flat out said no, saying she’s disclosed all that Congress requires.
“The leader has filed a complete financial disclosure report as required by law that includes financial holdings, transactions and other personal information,” Pelosi spokesman Nadeam Elshami told McClatchy.
Sen. Claire McCaskill of Missouri and Rep. Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the senior Democrat on the House Financial Services Committee and a co-author of the Dodd-Frank law tightening regulations on Wall Street, were among the more prominent Democrats who refused to disclose their tax returns to McClatchy.
And Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, the chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee who has blasted Romney’s refusal to release more tax returns, also refused to disclose her returns, saying she wouldn’t because she wasn’t running for president.

Sununu: Obama “Wallowed In Chicago” With Felons Like Tony Rezko…
Sununu is the master of the verbal ass whooping.
" It’s amazing to me that this president would introduce the word felon into the discourse. This is a president who wallowed in Chicago in the murky soup of politics and felons, a region where the politicians quite often end up as felons in jail. This is a president who cut a very snarky real estate deal with Tony Rezko, who is now in prison for trying to extort some money on a political basis. Why would the president want to give people an opportunity to raise his wallowing with felons in the past by raising that question?”

What honor looks like....WWII Vets with Honor Flight spontaneously cheered by travelers at Reagan National
What honor looks like......
Shortly before 9:30 over the loud speakers, a US Airways gate attendant announced that an Honor Flight of World War II veterans would be arriving momentarily and encouraged anyone passing by to help greet them. Five or six people looked like they were officially part of the welcoming committee, and the rest of the people in the secure section of the airport were regular old travelers going somewhere. Then I had a terrible thought. What if these veterans came off the plane and just those five or six individuals were there to greet them. I walked a gate over to help see the veterans out.
But – then it happened and frankly, I wasn’t expecting it. All throughout the terminal, people left their gates and gathered around gate 38. A few active military personnel in plain clothes approached the gate attendant and politely asked if they could join in the salute within the jet way as the heroes first stepped off the plane. Every human being in the terminal stood at attention and faced the door.
Someone held up an old newspaper from 1945 that had a banner headline that said, “Nazis Quit!” And when I saw that newspaper, I realized that World War II wasn’t just a chapter in a history book. It was men and women who saw an evil like the world has never seen before and traveled across the world to meet that evil. And they defeated it.
I wonder if in 1945, any of those brave soldiers could ever imagine that 67 years later, we’d still be basking in the freedom that they preserved. And some of those heroes were about to walk through Gate 38.
The first soldier walked through the door. Old, frail and needing help walking. And every person I could see in the entire airport stood and applauded. No – maybe cheered is more like it.
But here’s the thing – the applause didn’t stop. For a full 20 minutes, as veteran by veteran stepped out of the jet way, the US Airways wing of Reagan National Airport thundered in appreciation. Travelers stepped out for the opportunity to shake their hand while others held back tears.
This is the America we picture in our heads. Heroes getting a hero’s welcome and those who enjoy the freedom adequately conveying their gratitude.
Now, I know what honor looks like.

Obamacare Will Add 3.8% Medicare Tax on Sales of Homes, Condos, Townhouses and Rentals
Obamacare Will Add 3.8% Medicare Tax on Sales of Homes, Condos, Townhouses and Rentals
Beginning January 1, 2013, ObamaCare imposes a 3.8% Medicare tax on unearned income of “high-income” taxpayers which could apply to proceeds from the sale of single family homes, townhouses, co-ops, condominiums, and even rental income, depending on your individual circumstances and any capital gains tax exclusions. Importantly, the “high income” thresholds are not indexed for inflation so will reach increasing numbers of middle-class taxpayers over time.
In February 2010, 5.02 million homes were sold, according to the National Association of Realtors (NAR). On any given day, the sale of a house, townhome, condominium, co-op, or income from a rental property could slam middle-income families with a new tax they can’t afford.
This new ObamaCare tax is the first time the government will apply a 3.8 percent tax on unearned income. This new tax on home sales and unearned income and other Medicare taxes raise taxes more than $210 billion to pay for ObamaCare. The National Association of Realtors called this new Medicare tax on unearned income “destructive” and “ill-advised” and warned it would hurt job creation.

Obama Says He Can’t Believe It When Successful People Think They Became Rich Because They “Worked Hard” Or Are “Smart”…
Official White House transcript
“There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me — because they want to give something back. They know they didn’t — look, if you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there. It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something — there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there.
If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

Let's Cheer On Sgt. 1st Class Josh Olson at the Paralympic Games in London
Sgt. 1st Class Josh Olson of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit trains for the 2012 U.S. Paralympic Team.
Wounded Warrior Set to Make History
FORT BENNING, Ga. -- Nine years after losing his leg in a rocket-propelled grenade attack while on patrol in Iraq, Sgt. 1st Class Josh Olson has reinvented his Army career. Going from an Infantry squad leader to a wounded warrior, he is now a Paralympic shooter.
But in October of 2003, Olson's future had been less certain. Recuperating at Walter Reed Army Medical Center with the loss of his right leg still fresh in his mind, Olson didn't know if the last page in his Army story had just been written.
He was confident he would complete rehabilitation in time to return to his duty station at Fort Campbell, Ky., to welcome home his battle buddies returning from Iraq. The last time they'd seen him, he was being pulled out of the wreckage of a Humvee. Olson knew he would walk again with the use of prosthesis. What he didn't expect was to discover a marksmanship talent that would lead him to make history at the Paralympic Games.
Nine years since the day that changed his life, Olson isn't just still writing his Army story, he is creating new chapters as a pioneer and inspiration to a generation of wounded veterans and Soldiers.
When Olson, a member of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit, participates in the 2012 Paralympic Games opening ceremonies Aug. 29 in London, he will officially become the first combat-injured active-duty service member to ever take part in the event.
Through competitions and World Cups, Olson did well enough to secure a spot for the U.S. in rifle competition. In turn, the U.S. Selection Committee picked Olson to compete in two rifle event at the Games.
"When I got the call it was such a relief," said Olson, who will compete in Mixed 50m Prone Rifle and Mixed 10m Air Rifle. "I felt like 500 pounds was taken off my back. I sat down and knew I would never have to carry that weight again. Now I could focus on the games as well as getting the new guys here to the unit.
The 'new guys' Olson refers to are injured Soldiers who are deemed able to continue serving on active duty. This past spring the Army approved the historic expansion of the USAMU with the addition of 24 new Soldiers to make up the newly-created Paralympic section and a marksmanship instructor group. It goes into effect Oct. 1.
While his current focus is training for the Paralympic Games, he is also looking ahead to recruiting and mentoring other injured Soldiers who are facing similar life-altering circumstances and career changes as he did nine years ago.
"Now, instead of getting injured and being told 'thanks for your service' and you have to get out, the Army is affording Soldiers the opportunity to stay on active duty the same way I was," Olson said. "Now all of that knowledge isn't going to be lost and we can incorporate them into our shooting program and instructor group and keep making an impact on our Army."
In many ways, Olson is a pioneer -- something that isn't lost on him. The poster child for humility, Olson recognizes he is setting examples all over the place for Soldiers who have been severely injured in combat. He said he looks forward to the day years from now when he can look back on this chapter in his life and see its results.
As part of his rehabilitation at Walter Reed, Olson said the nurses always tried to encourage patients to participate in activities. One of the outdoor events Olson took part in was a sporting clay shoot. After hitting 49 out of the first 50 shots that he took, people around him took notice.
The program director at the time called the USAMU and asked if they was interest in making wounded Soldiers into rifle shooters. Seven months later after a tryout and an interview, Olson was at Fort Benning assigned to the "Home of Champions."
"Anybody overcoming anything in life, if they have a goal, if they have something to concentrate on, it really helps," Olson said. "In shooting sports, it doesn't matter how old you are or what your athletic ability is. I was pretty good at it right away and that's when I realized that this is what I wanted to do."
At the unit he was surrounded by world champions, former NCAA champions and world-class talent at every firing point. While he envisioned having to work hard to warrant his new battle buddies respect, he didn't know that it had already been earned.
"When he first walked through that door I said to myself 'that is a Soldier,'" said Staff Sgt. George Norton. "That is a Soldier from the line who has deployed, who has a lot of guidance, and I better respect him.' That was before he ever even spoke to me. He had that presence."
Olson worked hard at honing his new craft and in just a few years was an alternate on the 2008 Paralympic team. Not making the team stung, Olson admitted, but it was a motivational tool that he is reaping the benefits of this time around.
"One of the great things about shooting sports is even if you shoot a perfect score there is always some aspect you can improve on," Olson said. "It's what gets me out of bed every day. Some days I am tired, don't want to shoot that day, don't want to put my leg on -- but there are people counting on me to perform well."
Olson added that he doesn't hope that those Soldiers who arrive at the unit follow in his footsteps but instead blow everything he ever did out of the water and succeed. That notion isn't lost on Norton or his teammates at the unit.
"Shooting is a thing he had found very therapeutic," Norton said. "So when he was given that opportunity I know he was able to use it. When they say he needed shooting I think shooting needed him, especially the Paralympic movement here in the U.S."
If he isn't showcasing the Army worldwide in a competition or providing marksmanship instruction to Soldiers from around the Army, Olson is trying to inspire other injured Soldiers and veterans to realize that there are opportunities for them in the world.
"You may think all the doors are closed or shut in your face but if you look hard enough one is going to be open," Olson said. "A lot of people quit after they get told no time after time. You can't do that. If you keep trying, you'll find a door that opens."
The selfless acts of Olson are never lost on those at the USAMU. Junior Soldiers see him as someone they strive to be, not just as a shooter or as a Soldier, but simply as a person.
"Sergeant Olson is what makes this Army and this country great," said Sgt. Joe Hein. "With what he's gone through and what he's accomplished since he's been here and the people that he's impacted around the world, it's simply incredible. I try to live by his example."
If fans are looking for someone to cheer for this summer in London, they should cheer for Olson, Hein said.
Olson said that he has been preparing for his moment at the Paralympics since he signed into the unit seven years ago. He doesn't want to just go to participate in the Games -- he wants to be the best in the world.
"I've been very fortunate to help liberate a country while in combat and make history," Olson said. "Well now I get to make history again but in a total new battlefield, in the sports arena. I get to show the world a whole new side of a U.S. Soldier then they may have ever seen. I am going to show the world that you can knock a Soldier down but you can't knock him out."
Wild Thing's comment..................
I love the Olympics and I especially love our troops and Veterans, I sure will be cheering for Olson.

CNN’s John King, David Gergen: Obama Campaign “Bain” Felony Attack is Just Not True
CNN’s John King, David Gergen: Obama Campaign “Bain” Felony Attack is Just Not True; Gergen – Three Key Obams Supporters at Bain Say Attack is Untrue; “Obama is Playing a Very Rough Form of Politics. . . Is this what We were Promised?”
Here is video of CNN’s Anderson Cooper, John King and David Gergen all agreeing that what the Barack Obama Campaign is doing with their “Romney is a felon” attack is simply not true, and beyond that, is an “over-reach” and as Gergen put it politely, “a very rough form of politics.” Actually, you can tell from the way Gergen said it, he means they are acting like a bunch of sleaze-balls. Gergen asked disgustedly about Obama’s “very rough form of politics,” “Is this what we were promised?” Cooper answered for him, “No.”
Let Obama and the Democrats keep pushing this vile story. Within a week, it will be backlashing on them big time, because it reveals them for the people without an ounce of integrity that they are. They have opened wide now the door for Mitt Romney to go back and bring up all the sleazy associations of Barack Obama in Chicago and elsewhere. They have also set the table for Romney to play up the tremendous service he did for America in leaving Bain quickly to literally save the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. For that service he rendered to the nation, he now gets hammered by the Obama people. Look for that to come in the days and weeks ahead, and to be a major theme at the Republican National Convention.

Obama: The “Biggest Mistake” I’ve Made As President Is Not Being A Good Storyteller - OMG Can You Believe This Idiot?
Obama: The “Biggest Mistake” I’ve Made As President Is Not Being A Good Storyteller…
As he campaigns for re-election, President Obama is ruminating over the biggest mistake of his first term — and it might surprise supporters and critics alike.
In the president’s view, he has not been a good enough storyteller, putting policy goals ahead of laying out a clear narrative for the American public.
“The mistake of my first term. . .was thinking that this job was just about getting the policy right. And that’s important,” Obama told “CBS This Morning” anchor Charlie Rose in a White House interview that will be broadcast Sunday and Monday.
“But the nature of this office,” the president added, “is also to tell a story to the American people that gives them a sense of unity and purpose and optimism, especially during tough times.”
The answer might seem incongruous. After all, when the going gets tough, Obama has been known to turn to his rhetorical prowess by delivering a big speech. He did it again last month when he flew to Cleveland for an address on the economy after taking heat from Republican rivals over a comment at a news conference that the private sector was “doing fine.”

VP Dick Cheney Says Mitt Romney Best Suited to Handle 9/11-Like Attack
Cheney says Mitt Romney is the ‘only’ man to make the country’s foreign policy decisions
WILSON, Wyo. — Former Vice President Dick Cheney told Republican fundraisers Thursday night that Mitt Romney is the “only” man who can make the right decisions in unexpected foreign policy crises. The presumptive 2012 Republican presidential nominee called Cheney a “great American leader” — and didn’t mention former President George W. Bush in a 20-minute speech to a country club reception.
Cheney said serving under four presidents taught him that a surprising international crisis is inevitable.
“When I think about the kind of individual I want in the Oval Office in that moment of crisis, who has to make those key decisions, some of them life-and-death decisions, some of them decisions as commander-in-chief, who has the responsibility for sending some of our young men and women into harm’s way, that man is Mitt Romney,” Cheney said to applause.
Donors gathered Thursday night under a tent next to the driving range at Teton Pines Country Club, a golfing community where Cheney has a home. After Cheney introduced him, Romney praised the former vice president as “a great American leader.”
Romney raised more than $4 million with Cheney, long a strong fundraiser in part because of his popularity among the conservative Republican base. The Cheney-sponsored events in this resort area near Yellowstone National Park represent a welcome endorsement for Romney, who is eager to win over more of the party’s base.
Cheney was hosting Romney at a private dinner at his Wyoming home after he posed for photos with Romney and the fundraisers who had flown from all over the country for the event. They were drawn either by Cheney or by the dramatic beauty of the mountains in this resort valley. New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, a national campaign finance co-chair, was in attendance, as were bundlers from Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma and New York, among other places.
Wild Thing's comment.............
I agree with Cheney. Obama is the worst and if we ever did have another 9-11 he would never go after the terrorists, he would rather invite them to the WH.

Top Obama Fundraiser Explodes Over Campaign’s Class Warfare Rhetoric
Top Obama Fundraiser Explodes Over Campaign’s Class Warfare Rhetoric
Millionaire developer R. Donahue Peebles — a 52-year-old D.C. native whose company website touts The Peebles Corp. as “the country’s largest African American real estate development company,” is a top fundraiser for President Barack Obama . . . raising between $100K and $200K for this reelection.
But in a 20-minute conversation with HuffPost Monday, Peebles blasted Obama’s campaign messaging. He said, as he told other press outlets, that his frustration was sparked by receiving an email from the DNC that mocked Romney as “out of touch” for having a boat that fit 12 people, accompanied by apicture of the Republican presumptive nominee on vacation.
“That offended me. Now if I were on the fence, he’d have lost me,” said Peebles, who described himself as nonetheless a “big supporter of the president’s.”
“What I get concerned about is the message from the Obama campaign that we only want someone who has not been successful to run for president. What do we want here? You can’t be successful and run the country? We don’t want somebody who has been successful to run it? That doesn’t make sense,” Peebles said.
"So I look at that and I see that those things are becoming offensive to some of his strongest supporters, financially."It would be unrealistic to think that that kind of thing would not impact the enthusiasm for those who are supportive of the president, financially, and certainly would turn off others who were on the fence to say, 'You know, what the heck with it. I'm done,'" Peebles continued. "And they go on to Romney."
And so what's happening is they've awakened a sleeping giant. This time around, business leaders, business executives and corporations will be involved in the political process like they've never been before, all because they've been awakened," he said. Peebles said he does not think criticism of Romney's time in private equity are out of bounds as long as they focus on his performance there, and said he preferred the Obama campaign spend more time focusing on Romney's record as governor of Massachusetts. But he also took issue with Obama's recently revived talking point about raising taxes on those who make $250,000 or more a year
."I'm so tired of hearing that the rich are not paying their fair share of taxes. Yeah we are," Peebles said. "The super vast majority of wealthy Americans do not wake up every day and say, 'Let's see how we can pay less than our fair share of taxes.' They say, 'We're going to follow the law and we're going to hire some good accountants to tellus how to do it. And we're going to pay no more or no less than ourfair share.'"So to say that wealthy individuals are not paying their fair is unfair and delusional," he said. "So what should be said is that the wealthy Americans should have their tax rates raised because we need more money. Now by the way, if they got all these tax raises it still wouldn't put a dent in the national debt."
He wasn't done.
"We cannot attack wealth creation and attack people just because they're wealthy and we can't attack wealth and success, and making that a bad thing. It's like going to school and the bullies picking on the A-students, calling them nerds and so forth. So, what do we want,a whole school of dummies?"And Peebles also defended Romney from the Obama campaign's criticisms over the candidate's bank accounts in Switzerland and the Cayman Islands.
"They weren't illegal. There's not one allegation that he didn't pay his fair share of taxes. I will guarantee you that if you look at a large number of companies that the CEOs and so forth are supportive of this president, I would bet you that many of them have bank accounts in other countries," Peebles said. "Offshore, when it came to organized crime and illegal activity, to have bank accounts offshore, that's one thing, and that in conjunction with criminal conduct is something to criticize. Legal bank accounts offshore, there is not anything to criticize about.
Wild Thing's comment.............

Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Invested in Swiss Banks, Foreign Drug Companies, and the State Bank of India
Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Invested in Swiss Banks, Foreign Drug Companies, and the State Bank of India
Disclosure forms reveal that Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, a member of Congress from Florida, previously held funds with investments in Swiss banks, foreign drug companies, and the state bank of India. This revelation comes mere days after the Democratic chair attacked presumptive Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney for holding money in Swiss bank accounts in the past.
"Americans need to ask themselves, why does an American businessman need a Swiss bank account and secretive investments like that?" the DNC chair, a chief surrogate for President Obama's reelection team, said on Fox News Sunday two days ago. "Just something, a thought, that I'd like to leave folks with."
It's been a consistent theme of Obama's reelection strategy: Attack Romney for foreign investments he held, especially in Swiss bank accounts, "to try to promote his wealthy, out-of-touch businessman persona."
But disclosure forms reveal that in 2010, Wasserman Schultz invested between $1,001-$15,000 in a 401k retirement fund run by Davis Financial Fund. As the fund discloses, it is invested in the Julius Baer Group Ltd. and the State Bank of India GDR Ltd., as well as other financial, insurance, bank institutions.
"The Julius Baer Group is the leading Swiss private banking group, focusing exclusively on the demands of sophisticated private clients, family offices and external asset managers from around the world," its website explains. "Bank Julius Baer is the principal operating company of the Julius Baer Group, with origins dating back to 1890. The rich Swiss heritage becomes manifest in the values for which the Bank stands, e.g. trustworthiness, accountability, discretion and expertise. However, at the same time Julius Baer is a modern, forward-looking company at the leading edge of a genuine growth industry."
Similarly, according to disclosure forms from 2004, Wasserman Schultz had holdings in the Fidelity Advisor Overseas Fund. That fund is invested in HSBC bank (a British financial institution), Hengdeli Holdings (a Hong Kong watch company), Novo Nordisk (a Danish drug company), Volkswagen (a German auto company), Rakuten (a Japanese shipping business), Richemont Cie Financiere (a Swiss luxury goods company), and many others.
To be clear, there is nothing in Debbie Wasserman Schultz's disclosure forms to suggest that the DNC chair invested in anything illegal. But it is clear that some of her holdings had investments overseas, in Swiss banks, foreign drug companies, the state bank of India, and many other overseas holdings.
The hypocrisy, though, is clear: The Democrats, as well as President Obama, hope to paint Romney as an out of touch man for holding money in overseas bank accounts, when in reality their own chairman, Wasserman Schultz, had overseas investments.
All this comes in addition to Wasserman Schultz's refusal to disclose her own tax returns, despite continuously calling on Romney to do so.

Good Grief This is Insane! Obama to Close 9 Border Patrol Stations in 4 States
Six of the border patrol stations are in Texas.
The Obama administration is moving to shut down nine Border Patrol stations across four states, triggering a backlash from local law enforcement, members of Congress and Border Patrol agents themselves. Critics of the move warn the closures will undercut efforts to intercept drug and human traffickers in well-traveled corridors north of the U.S.-Mexico border.
Though the affected stations are scattered throughout northern and central Texas, and three other states, the coverage areas still see plenty of illegal immigrant activity — one soon-to-be-shuttered station in Amarillo, Texas, is right in the middle of the I-40 corridor; another in Riverside, Calif., is outside Los Angeles.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection says it’s closing the stations in order to reassign agents to high-priority areas closer to the border.
“These deactivations are consistent with the strategic goal of securing America’s borders, and our objective of increasing and sustaining the certainty of arrest of those trying to enter our country illegally,” CBP spokesman Bill Brooks said in a statement. “By redeploying and reallocating resources at or near the border, CBP will maximize the effectiveness of its enforcement mandate and align our investments with our mission.”
But at least one Border Patrol supervisor in Texas has called on local officers to “voice your concerns” to elected officials, warning that the “deactivation” will remove agents from the Texas Panhandle, among other places. Several members of Congress have asked Border Patrol Chief Michael Fisher to reconsider the plan. And local officials are getting worried about what will happen once the Border Patrol leaves town, since they rely on those federal officials to assist in making immigration arrests.

Judge Napolitano on What Would Happen If You Refused to Pay for ObamaCare
he IRS is gearing up for its new role as health care cop. The agency, whose main responsibility is to collect taxes, will soon be in charge of enforcing ObamaCare. How can the IRS police a bill that comes with no civil or criminal penalties for those who refuse to pay?
Judge Andrew Napolitano weighed in on the issue on today’s Fox and Friends, saying that if someone chooses to pass on the health care plan, the IRS can withhold tax refunds and put a tax lien on your house.
“Because Mrs. Pelosi and company wanted unanimity amongst the Democrats when the law was enacted and because of some conservative Democrats, interestingly some of them are not going to the Democratic National Convention this year, insisted that some tools be taken away from the IRS, some were. So, the IRS cannot seek an indictment, a criminal charge for those who willfully refuse to pay this. The IRS cannot seize bank accounts or dock wages. The IRS cannot add penalties for your failure to pay, the only thing that keeps adding is interest, and the interest is established by the statute.”
Napolitano said that the scary part about this law is that it provides for 16,000 new IRS agents and funds them for the first four years.

83 percent of doctors have considered quitting over Obamacare
83 percent of doctors have considered quitting over Obamacare
Eighty-three percent of American physicians have considered leaving their practices over President Barack Obama’s health care reform law, according to a survey released by the Doctor Patient Medical Association.
The DPMA, a non-partisan association of doctors and patients, surveyed a random selection of 699 doctors nationwide. The survey found that the majority have thought about bailing out of their careers over the legislation, which was upheld last month by the Supreme Court.
Even if doctors do not quit their jobs over the ruling, America will face a shortage of at least 90,000 doctors by 2020. The new health care law increases demand for physicians by expanding insurance coverage. This change will exacerbate the current shortage as more Americans live past 65.
By 2025 the shortage will balloon to over 130,000, Len Marquez, the director of government relations at the American Association of Medical Colleges, told The Daily Caller.
“One of our primary concerns is that you’ve got an aging physician workforce and you have these new beneficiaries — these newly insured people — coming through the system,” he said. “There will be strains and there will be physician shortages.”

Krauthammer: Obama's Pivot to Tax Issue Shows He has Surrendered on the Economy
Charles Krauthammer had an interesting take on why President Obama suddenly decided to pivot to class warfare rhetoric on the tax issue. Obama wants to extend the Bush tax cuts to people making less than $250,000 a year, but raise taxes on everyone else – hitting many of the small business owners in the country.
“I think this is a declaration by Obama – the fact that he’s now pivoted back to this old issue that he’s been touting for at least four years. It’s a declaration that he’s surrendered on the state of the economy and on the issue of his stewardship of it. This is a white flag. There’s no way he can defend it.”

Reporter Norah O'Donnell Destroys WH Press Secretary Jay Carney on Obama Tax Increase Call
At the White House Daily Briefing today, CBS News Reporter Norah O’Donnell kept after White House Press Secretary Jay Carney on why Barack Obama said in 2010 raising taxes on anyone in a bad economy was bad for business and job creation. Today, he called for raising taxes on anyone making more than $250,000 – a move that O’Donnell pointed out would hit 1,000,000 small businesses in America. Jay Carney was unable to give a coherent response, with O’Donnell peppering him with facts at every turn disputing the Obama Team’s latest class warfare rhetoric.
This is how a reporter should do their job, no matter who occupies the White House. It would be interesting to see a reporter actually pepper Obama himself with questions that persistently.

Unemployment Rate Dropped In Every State That Elected A Republican Governor In 2010
Unemployment Rate Dropped In Every State That Elected A Republican Governor In 2010
n 2010, influenced by the Tea Party and its focus on fiscal issues, 17 states elected Republican governors. And, according to an Examiner.com analysis, every one of those states saw a drop in their unemployment rates since January of 2011. Furthermore, the average drop in the unemployment rate in these states was 1.35%, compared to the national decline of .9%, which means, according to the analysis, that the job market in these Republican states is improving 50% faster than the national rate.
States with Republican Governors and the unemployment rate
Kansas - 6.9% to 6.1% = a decline of 0.8%
Maine - 8.0% to 7.4% = a decline of 0.6%
Michigan - 10.9% to 8.5% = a decline of 2.4%
New Mexico - 7.7% to 6.7% = a decline of 1.0%
Oklahoma - 6.2% to 4.8% = a decline of 1.4%
Pennsylvania - 8.0% to 7.4% = a decline of 0.6%
Tennessee - 9.5% to 7.9% = a decline of 1.6%
Wisconsin - 7.7% to 6.8% = a decline of 0.9%
Wyoming - 6.3% to 5.2% = a decline of 1.1%
Alabama - 9.3% to 7.4% = a decline of 1.9%
Georgia - 10.1% to 8.9% = a decline of 1.2%
South Carolina - 10.6% to 9.1% = a decline of 1.5%
South Dakota - 5.0% to 4.3% = a decline of 0.7%
Florida - 10.9% to 8.6% = a decline of 2.3%
Nevada - 13.8% to 11.6% = a decline of 2.2%
Iowa - 6.1% to 5.1% = a decline of 1.0%
Ohio - 9.0% to 7.3% = a decline of 1.7%
On the other hand, the unemployment rate in states that elected Democrats in 2010 dropped, on average, as much as the national rate decline and, in some states such as New York, the unemployment rate has risen since January of 2011.
This is yet another example of how the so-called “blue state” model is not working.

Awesome All West Discusses His ‘80 Communists in the House’ Claim
‘You Can Call it Communism, Progressivism, Socialism, Marxism, or Statism’: Rep. West Defends His ‘80 Communists in the House’ Claim
During a Fox July Fourth special featuring Rep. Allen West (R-FL) and political strategist Frank Luntz, an audience member asked the Florida congressman how he expects to heal the America political system when he says divisive and “absurd” things like there are “70 Communists in the House of Representatives.”
“I think one of the things that’s really ruined our politics is rhetoric,” said Aaron, the audience member. “And I think for a congressman to make the accusation that are 70 Communists in the House of Representatives is an absurd statement and it doesn’t really reflect the story you just told.”
Rep. West disagreed.
“But it does reflect the story I just told because it reflects a person that has studied political theory and ideology. I have a Bachelor’s degree and two Master’s degrees in political science, political theory, political ideology. And the thing is you have to be able to understand the two competing principles of philosophies of governance in this country,” Rep. West said.
He continued:
When you go back and you read the documents, the Declaration of Independence, the full declaration, the full Constitution, you’ll understand limited government, you’ll understand fiscal responsibility, you’ll understand individual sovereignty, free markets … strong national defense.
But there are people on the other side, and you can call them whatever you wish, you can call it Communism, Progressivism, Socialism, Marxism, or Statism …They believe in creating and expanding an entitlement or welfare state.
“And you can’t tell me that you’re not seeing that in the United States of America right now,” he added.
.
Wild Thing's comment............
Allen West understands and I love how he corrects people that try to make him soften on his stance.
If you refuse to see the communists, you won’t resist them, and that is perfect for them. That is their goal.

African-American Pastors Call On Black Christians To Withhold Support For Obama Over Gay Marriage Backing…
After failing to receive a response to their request to meet with President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder to discuss the administration’s support for same-sex marriage, the Coalition of African-American Pastors is now calling on other black Christians to withhold support for Obama’s re-election.
“By embracing gay marriage, President Obama is leading the country down an immoral path,” said Rev. William Owens, the president of CAAP, in a statement. “The Black Church has always been the conscience of America, and today we are calling on black pastors and black Christians to withhold support from President Obama until he corrects course.”
CAPP’s letter to Obama and Holder expressed their disappointment.
“President Obama is the fulfillment of our dreams for our sons,” they wrote. “And he has broken our hearts by using his power and position to endorse as a civil right something that is simply wrong. . . Some things are bigger than the next election.”

Officials have already drafted 13,000 pages of rules & regs for health care law ....AND STILL COUNTING!
Officials have already drafted 13,000 pages of rules & regs for health care law
With the Supreme Court giving President Obama’s new health care law a green light, federal and state officials are turning to implementation of the law — a lengthy and massive undertaking still in its early stages, but already costing money and expanding the government.
The Health and Human Services Department “was given a billion dollars implementation money,” Republican Rep. Denny Rehberg of Montana said. “That money is gone already on additional bureaucrats and IT programs, computerization for the implementation.”
“Oh boy,” Stan Dorn of the Urban Institute said. “HHS has a huge amount of work to do and the states do, too. There will be new health insurance marketplaces in every state in the country, places you can go online, compare health plans.”
The IRS, Health and Human Services and many other agencies will now write thousands of pages of regulations — an effort well under way:
“There’s already 13,000 pages of regulations, and they’re not even done yet,” Rehberg said.
“It’s a delegation of extensive authority from Congress to the Department of Health and Human Services and a lot of boards and commissions and bureaus throughout the bureaucracy,” Matt Spalding of the Heritage Foundation said. “We counted about 180 or so.”
There has been much focus on the mandate that all Americans obtain health insurance, but analysts say that’s just a small part of the law — covering only a few pages out of the law’s 2700.
“The fact of the matter is the mandate is about two percent of the whole piece of the legislation,” Spalding said. “It’s a minor part.”
Much bigger than the mandate itself are the insurance exchanges that will administer $681 billion in subsidies over 10 years, which will require a lot of new federal workers at the IRS and health department.
“They are asking for several hundred new employees,” Dorn said. “You have rules you need to write and you need lawyers, so there are lots of things you need to do when you are standing up a new enterprise.”
For some, though, the bottom line is clear and troubling: The federal government is about to assume massive new powers.
Wild Thing's comment.................
Add to all of this the tremendous amount of IRS agents that will be overseeing the entire thing.....and our bank accounts they will have control over.

Democrat Rep.Larry Kissell “Doesn’t Plan to Endorse Obama”, Will Not Attend DNC Convention and Is Against Obamacare
Democratic U.S. Rep. Larry Kissell, whose rural North Carolina district has become even more Republican, is bucking his party again in two high-profile congressional votes.
Last week, Kissell was one of 17 Democrats who voted with Republicans to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in criminal contempt of Congress. And next week, he plans to vote with them again to repeal President Barack Obama’s health care law.
“I’ve heard from hundreds and hundreds of people from my district about their opposition to the health care law,” Kissell told the Observer Monday. “I voted against it originally and I will vote to repeal it.”
Kissell also said he doesn’t plan to endorse Obama for re-election and isn’t sure he’ll attend his party’s national convention in Charlotte.
On health care, Kissell explained why he plans to vote for repeal on July 11. “Constitutional or not, the health care bill cut Medicare and placed undue burdens on our small businesses,” he said.

Hayden Rogers will join two other North Carolina congressional candidates in skipping the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte and not endorsing President Obama.
“My sole focus is on running for Congress in the 11th District,” Rogers said. “I will be concentrating my time and energy on reaching out to as many voters as possible to discuss the issues facing Western North Carolina and America. he Supreme Court upheld President Barack Obama's health care law on Thursday, but Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, a possible Republican vice presidential contender who has refused to establish a federally mandated health care exchange in his state, said Friday that he will continue to ignore it.
"We're not going to start implementing Obamacare," Jindal said during a conference call with Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell. "We're committed to working to elect Gov. Romney to repeal Obamacare."
Under the Affordable Care Act, states must set up a health insurance exchange program by Jan. 1, 2014, and will receive grants from the federal government to implement it. Several Republican governors, including both Jindal and McDonnell, have put off setting up the exchanges in the hope that the law would be repealed or struck down by the court. Now that the law has been upheld, Jindal said he won't change course and is looking to presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney to lead the repeal effort if he takes office in 2013.
"Here in Louisiana we have not applied for the grants, we have not accepted many of these dollars, we're not implementing the exchanges," Jindal said. "We don't think it makes any sense to implement Obamacare in Louisiana. We're going to do what we can to fight it."

Obama's Hate for our Military Showing Up AGAIN - Obama to Soldiers: Pay Up
Obama to Soldiers: Pay Up
Threatens to veto bill unless it hikes health care fees for service members
The Obama administration on Friday threatened to veto a defense appropriations bill in part because it does not include higher health care fees for members of the military.
“The Administration is disappointed that the Congress did not incorporate the requested TRICARE fee initiatives into either the appropriation or authorization legislation,” the White House wrote in an official policy statement expressing opposition to the bill, which the House approved in May.
President Obama’s most recent budget proposal includes billions of dollars in higher fees for members of TRICARE, the military health care system, and is part of the administration’s plan to cut nearly $500 billion from the Pentagon’s budget.
Some fear the administration’s proposal is an effort to increase enrollment in the state-run insurance exchanges mandated under the president’s controversial health care law.
The administration urged the House to “reconsider” to fee increase, arguing they are “essential for DOD to successfully address rising personnel costs.”
