Obama Starts Push To Sell YOU " It's Not a Tax"
Excellent ad.....Americans for Prosperity released this blistering ad attacking the $2 trillion Obamacare tax on American workers. The new ad focuses on Obama’s dishonesty, his $2 trillion healthcare bill and the Obama unemployment rate.
.
White House claims ObamaCare fine a 'penalty,' despite court calling it a 'tax'
First it was a penalty. Then it was a tax. Now it's a penalty again.
The war of words over what to call the fine attached to the federal health care overhaul's most controversial provision continued Friday, as the White House took issue with the Supreme Court's argument -- even though that argument alone spared President Obama's law.
The five-justice majority argued that, while the fine imposed by the law for not buying health insurance would otherwise be unconstitutional, the fine is actually legal under Congress' authority to tax.
Ergo, the fine is officially a "tax" in the eyes of the court. The law stands.
But in a case of biting the hand that feeds, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Friday the fine is still just a "penalty."
Calling it a "tax" causes obvious political problems for the White House. Obama fought that label vigorously when selling the bill in 2009.
Carney went on to say Friday that the "penalty" will affect only about 1 percent of Americans, those who refuse to get health insurance. He said the penalty was modeled after the one put in place in Massachusetts when Mitt Romney was governor.
"It's a penalty, because you have a choice. You don't have a choice to pay your taxes, right?" Carney said.
Carney was initially reluctant to assign a label to the fine when pressed repeatedly by reporters Friday. "Call it what you want," he said.
But describing the fine as a "penalty" helps fight Republican claims that the court ruling confirms the Obama administration raised taxes with its health care law.
Republicans threatened to use that argument against the president and Democrats in the 2012 election.
Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., told Fox News the ruling means the law becomes a "middle-class tax increase." He said the IRS will "come after" people who don't pay.
Wild Thing's comment................
No way will Obama convince the majority of people it is not a tax and a huge one at that.

Obamacare found to be the single largest tax increase in world history
Obamacare found to be the single largest tax increase in world history
The Court’s ruling leaves in place 21 tax increases in the health-care law costing more than $675 billion over the next 10 years, according to the House Ways and Means Committee. Of those, 12 tax hikes would affect families earning less than $250,000 per year, the panel said. Including a “Cadillac tax” on high-cost insurance plans, a tax on insurance providers and an excise tax on medical device manufacturers.
But didn’t President Obama tell us in no uncertain terms that Obamacare was NOT a tax?
In a September 20th, 2009 Presidential interview on “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” Stephanopoulos said, “Under this mandate, the government is forcing people to spend money and fining them if they don’t. How is that not a tax increase?”
OBAMA: No, tha-tha-that’s not true, George. Eh, for us to say that you’ve gotta take a responsibility to get health insurance is absolutely not a tax increase. What it’s saying is is that we’re not gonna have other people carrying your burdens for you, any more than the fact that right now everybody in America, just about, has to get auto insurance. Nobody considers that a tax increase. People say to themselves, “That is a fair way to make sure that if you hit my car, that I’m not covering all the costs.”
STEPHANOPOULIS then said, “Well, it may be fair, and it may be good public policy, but for you to say that this isn’t a tax. This just…”
OBAMA: No, no. B-b-but George y-y-y-you can’t just make up that language and decide that that’s called a tax increase.
STEPHANOPOULOS: I don’t think I’m making it up. Merriam-Webster Dictionary: “Tax: A charge, usually of money, imposed by authority –
OBAMA: (snickering)
STEPHANOPOULOS: — on persons or property for public purposes.”
OBAMA: George, the fact that you looked up Miriam’s dictionary (sic), the definition of tax increase indicates to me that you’re stretching a little bit right now. Otherwise you wouldn’ta gone to the dictionary to check on the definition! I mean –
STEPHANOPOULOS: Well, no.
OBAMA: If — if what you’re saying is –
STEPHANOPOULOS: I wanted to check for myself, but your critics say it is a tax increase.
OBAMA: My critics say everything’s a tax increase! My critics say that I’m taking over, uhh, every sector of the economy. You know that! Uh, eh, eh… Look, we can have a legitimate debate about whether or not we’re gonna have an individual mandate or not but –
STEPHANOPOULOS: But you reject that it’s a tax increase?
OBAMA: I absolutely reject that notion.
“As for the Medicaid expansion, that portion of the Affordable Care Act violates the Constitution by threatening existing Medicaid funding,” Roberts wrote. “Congress has no authority to order the States to regulate according to its instructions. Congress may offer the States grants and require the States to comply with accompanying conditions, but the States must have a genuine choice whether to accept the offer. The States are given no such choice in this case: They must either accept a basic change in the nature of Medicaid, or risk losing all Medicaid funding. The remedy for that constitutional violation is to preclude the Federal Government from imposing such a sanction.”
For their part, the Constitutionalist dissenters on the Court were not impressed with Roberts’ parsing of the law. “The Court regards its strained statutory interpretation as judicial modesty. It is not. It amounts instead to a vast judicial overreaching,” wrote the four other conservatives.
On Medicaid expansion, the court upheld the expansion but with a critical caveat: The federal government may not threaten the states that don’t comply with the loss of their existing funding. Essentially, the Medicaid expansion is now optional for the states.

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli :Dark Day for American Liberty
Dark Day for American Liberty
Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli slammed the Supreme Court's decision on President Barack Obama's healthcare law, saying that Thursday is "a dark day for the American people, the Constitution, and the rule of law."
"This decision goes against the very principle that America has a federal government of limited powers; a principle that the Founding Fathers clearly wrote into the Constitution, the supreme law of the land," Cucinelli, a leading opponent of the law added.
"This is a dark day for American liberty.
"The Constitution was meant to restrict the power of government precisely for the purpose of protecting your liberty and mine from the overreaching hand of the federal government.
"This unprecedented decision says that Congress has the authority to force citizens to buy private goods or face fines, — a power it has never had in American history, and a power King George III and Parliament didn't have over us when we were mere subjects of Great Britain.
"Since the federal government itself could never articulate to the court a constitutional limit to this power, Congress has gained an unlimited power to force citizens to buy anything," Cuccinelli added.
"I am disappointed with the court's ruling and with the unprecedented attack on American liberty the president and the previous Congress have created with this law."

Great Mitt Romney ad!
“The Supreme Court may have made their decision. But the American people haven’t. . . Day One. Job One. Repeal ObamaCare.”
In a few months, Americans will cast their ballots and make a choice. Do we continue on a path of rising, out of control health care costs? Do we continue with massive tax increases to fund a new two trillion dollar program? Do we continue stifling our economy with a growing government that discourages hiring? Or do we chart a new course and change directions. The Supreme Court may have made their decision, but the American people haven't. Day one. Job one. Repeal Obamacare.

Our Freedom of Choice Has Met It's Death Panel!
RUSH:
I'm really concerned here, the amount of power this guy is now going to think that he's got. And it's payback time now, by the way. Ask Arizona about that. This is payback time. But they're gonna have to readjust their campaign strategery, 'cause I know Obama was gonna run against, you know, four white guys and an Uncle Tom. He can't run against the Supreme Court now. He's really had a big campaign issue taken away from him in one sense, and we've had one-handed to us. This whole thing has now become purely political. With the court ruling that this is a tax and it turns out to be the largest tax increase in world history and a tax that we were deceived about, it becomes a purely political issue. It's made to order for the campaign, made to order.
Obama's got nothing to defend. He can go out there and defend this bill all day long, but the number of people who don't want any part of it just multiplied. He's gotta go out and defend and brag about a law that nobody wants, or a vast majority of the American people don't want. He has to go out and try to defend an economic plan that's resulted in destruction of the American private sector. You try to look for positives wherever you can, folks, and along those lines, there is a, to me, still somewhat confusing aspect of a ruling here on Medicaid and the states. There's this little excerpt here from the majority opinion.

Obama’s Biggest TAX Law (Obamacare) upheld, as a tax, in a 5-4 decision by the United States Supreme Court
5-4 decision, Supreme Court rules Obamacare constitutional
Obama’s health care reform law has been upheld, as a tax, in a 5-4 decision by the United States Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court’s Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the four-vote bloc of progressive judges to uphold the sweeping law, after reinterpreting it as a tax-related law.
The majority opinion, authored by Roberts, said the federal government does not have the constitutional power to compel “individuals to become active in commerce… [so] the individual mandate cannot be sustained.”
But in a stunning move, Roberts reinterpreted the law, allowing it to stand, because he said the federal government has the constitutional authority to tax people — even though the law’s advocates originally denied it was a tax while pushing for its approval in 2010. The Obama administration later argued that it was a tax.
He and the four progressive judges upheld the far-reaching law as a tax law.
Roberts then said the court is not deciding whether the law is fair or wise.
“It is not our role to forbid it or comment on [the law’s] fairness,” said Robert’s decision, which was opposed by four GOP-nominated judges, including Justice Anthony Kennedy, widely considered the court’s swing vote.
Robert’s decision formally denied the claim by Democrats and progressives that the federal government has the authority to make people buy services. That’s an ideological victory for conservatives.
Yet the minority bloc of four conservative judges slammed the decision as a gross expansion of federal power, because it clears the way for further expansions of government power in the economy.
Robert’s decision to side with progressives is a disappointment for conservatives. He was nominated by President George W. Bush, and was expected to be a reliable advocate for small government.
The court also approved — but also curbed — the law’s extensive Medicaid mandate, which places fiscal pressure on states.
The decision will likely aid President Barack Obama’s defense of the unpopular law. He is expected to speak in the hours following the court’s ruling.
“It is a boost for the President, but it doesn’t make the controversy go away,” said Karl Rove, a GOP political strategist.
“The House will move to repeal what’s left of it,” said Rep. John Boehner, the Speaker of the House.
By boosting health-care costs, Obamacare reduces job-growth, he said June 27. “Our focus has been the economy and it will continue to be the economy.”
“It is still unaffordable, it is still unworkable, it is still unpopular,” said Wyoming Republican Sen. John Barrasso. It needs to be replaced by many smaller measures that reduce the cost of health care, for example, that allows people to buy health insurance from companies outside their state, he said June 28, shortly before the court decision was announced.
“Replace it in a step-by step way,” he said.
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has promised to replace the unpopular law, which is likely to boost government spending, boost health-care costs and restrict Americans’ choices.
“If it is deemed to stand … we’ll have to have a president, and I’m that one, that’s gonna get rid of Obamacare,” Romney promised June 26 at a campaign stop in Salem, Va.
Congressional Republicans will likely use the court’s decision to promote a series of laws that reduce government control of the health sector.
Those debates will be delayed until after the presidential election, and will involve a huge number of lobbyists for many health-sector companies that fear a free market. Many companies’ managers prefer to operate under government regulations that shield them from competitors and help them to lobby for extra revenues.
Obama’s allies have already produced reports arguing that the law will aid Obama-leaning blocs, including Latinos, African-Americans and unmarried women.
The court’s decision, announced by the nine-member court on June 28, follows a series of lawsuits by GOP politicians, libertarians and social conservatives.
Obama’s legal advisers pushed the court to make an early decision prior to the November election, and the gamble paid off.

Obama Silent for 15 days about the Fires in Colorado, then ONLY Responds when WH Press Sec. Jay Carney is asked about it
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney was asked a question today on why President Obama has not further communicated with Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper over the raging wildfires in his state. The President's last correspondence with the Governor was June 12th, 15 days ago.
Colorado is midway through its worst wildfire season in a decade with as many as 32,000 residents having been evacuated since the fires started. Nearly two dozen homes have been demolished near Rocky Mountain National Park and Reuters cites up to 15000 acres of land as being consumed.
After White House Press Secretary Jay Carney admitted today that President Obama hadn't spoke to the Colorado Gov. in over 2 weeks while wildfires ravaged the state, the White House rushed out the following press release stating that Obama had JUST spoken with Gov. Hickenlooper.

President Obama detailed the plans behind Fast and Furious to Mexican President Felipe Calderón. During a joint press conference in April 2009, Calderón specifically mentions reviewing the flows of gun traffic (tracking) from the United States to Mexico.
President Calderón: President Obama has made recent decisions in the last few weeks, and we value them and appreciate them -- for example, to reinforce the operational capability of U.S. border agencies in order to comply with this legislation and with other laws, in order to review the flows of entry not only into the United States, but also the outgoing flows, outgoing from the U.S., to make sure that there is no illicit money, in strict compliance with United States legislation. I think these are very important steps.
TODAY !!
WASHINGTON, DC –House Republican Leadership has announced that on Thursday, June 28 the full U.S. House of Representatives will consider a resolution to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress for refusing to comply with a Congressional subpoena for documents related to Operation Fast and Furious.

Communist Party USA Says Reelecting Comrade Obama Is “Absolutely Essential”…
A writer for the Communist Party USA says that “. . . re-electing Obama is absolutely essential,” and warns that “divisions among Democrats and a potential wave of bad economic news can combine to threaten President Obama’s reelection.”
Marxist John Case, who writes for various CPUSA publications, has written a piece, “The danger of a Romney election,” for the party publication People’s World, which warns that “Re-electing Obama is not sufficient to bring economic recovery or even relief to our people. Only a different class configuration in political power can do necessary minimum reforms to give us a chance. But re-electing Obama is absolutely essential. Now is not the time for hand washing the complexities and tactics away — or failing to triage the most critical questions from those that are less critical. We cannot win everything at once!”
In reality, the CPUSA’s endorsement of Obama for a second term is not surprising. Various CPUSA officials, including Jarvis Tyner and Joelle Fishman, have openly expressed support for the U.S. President and his agenda.

Twisted Obama Pushing Food Stamps in Latest Ad Campaign: “They Make You Look Good”
Obama wants more people on food stamps.
A new ad campaign urges people to sign up, telling them, “They make you look good.” ecause one out of seven Americans on food stamps is not enough.
More than one in seven Americans are on food stamps, but the federal government wants even more people to sign up for the safety net program.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has been running radio ads for the past four months encouraging those eligible to enroll. The campaign is targeted at the elderly, working poor, the unemployed and Hispanics.
The department is spending between $2.5 million and $3 million on paid spots, and free public service announcements are also airing. The campaign can be heard in California, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, and the New York metro area.
“Research has shown that many people — particularly underserved seniors, working poor, and legal immigrants — do not understand the requirements of the program,” said Kevin Concannon, a USDA under secretary.
The radio ads, which run through June 30, come amid a bitter partisan fight over the safety net program. Republican lawmakers want to reduce funding for the benefit or turn it into a block grant program, which would also minimize the cost. Democrats, however, are not willing to make major cuts.
Wild Thing's comment............

Senate GOPers Suggest Obama National Security Adviser as Possible Leak Source
GOP senators are putting the pressure on Attorney General Eric Holder to appoint a special counsel to investigate whether the White House is responsible for national security leaks.
“The numerous national security leaks reportedly originating out of the executive branch in recent months have been stunning,” according to a copy of the letter to Holder, signed by more than 30 GOP senators and obtained by Fox News. “If there were ever a case requiring an outside special counsel with bipartisan acceptance and widespread public trust, this is it.”
Among the concerns about the leaks are recent news reports regarding the United State’s drone attacks in the Middle East.
Their letter points out the recent New York Times story about the drone program and its list of human targets states the reporting involved interviews with "three dozen of [President Obama's] current and former advisers."
It suggests that Thomas Donilon, the national security adviser, is a likely source in The Times reporting, considering he is “the commenter of record on events."

Obama White House to Arizona – Drop Dead
Obama Suspends ICE Cooperation With Arizona Law Enforcement After SCOTUS Ruling Allows Police To Check Immigration Status…
The Obama administration said Monday it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police.
Administration officials, speaking on condition they not be named, told reporters they expect to see an increase in the number of calls they get from Arizona police — but that won’t change President Obama’s decision to limit whom the government actually tries to detain and deport.
“We will not be issuing detainers on individuals unless they clearly meet our defined priorities,” one official said in a telephone briefing.
On Monday, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency suspended the federal program known as 287(g) for Arizona, which allows local law enforcement to investigate a suspect’s immigration status after an arrest had been made for any offense. The program has been highly effective in identifying criminal aliens at the local level.
The decision came only hours after the U.S. Supreme Court announced their decision to let stand the portion of Arizona’s immigration law which requires local law enforcement during routine stops to check the immigration status of anyone they suspect is here illegally.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, 287 (g) agreements are “not useful” in states that have enacted SB1070-type laws.
So, even if local law enforcement arrests an illegal alien, their requests to ICE are likely to fall upon deaf ears and the suspect will simply be released.

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia takes swipe at Obama immigration action
Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia suggested Monday that the Framers of the Constitution would have “rushed to the exits” if presented with the idea behind President Barack Obama’s recent decision not to enforce certain immigration laws.
The Supreme Court’s decision to strike down most of the key provisions of Arizona’s SB 1070 immigration law “boggles the mind” in light of the Obama policy shift, Scalia added.
Speaking in dissent of most of the court’s rulings on Arizona’s immigration law, Scalia took a clear swipe in his remarks at the Obama administration’s new policy ending deportations of many young adults brought into the country illegally — which was not part of the Arizona case.
“The president has said that the new program is ‘the right thing to do’ in light of Congress’s failure to pass the administration’s proposed revision of the immigration laws,” Scalia said. “Perhaps it is, though Arizona might not think so.”
Scalia asked whether states would have entered into the union had the Constitution included a clause enacting immigration laws but stipulating that the president had a choice on whether to enforce them. Delegates would have “rushed to the exits” at Independence Hall.
By passing a state immigration law, he added, Arizona had “moved to protect its sovereignty — not in contradiction of federal law, but in complete compliance with it.”
But, “if securing its territory in this fashion is not within the power of Arizona, we should cease referring to it as a sovereign state.”
The court upheld a key piece of the Arizona’s law — requiring police to check the immigration status of those they arrest or stop for questioning — but struck down other pieces of the law, arguing the state had stepped into the bounds of federal law.
“To say, as the Court does, that Arizona contradicts federal law by enforcing immigration law that the president declines to enforce boggles the mind,” Scalia said.
The problem that Arizona faces, Scalia said, is not that scarce resources are being toward enforcing immigration laws elsewhere and not in that border state, but the Obama administration’s policies.
“The husbanding of scarce enforcement resources can hardly be the justification for this,” he said of the new Department of Homeland Security directives, “since those resources will be eaten up by the considerable administrative cost of conducting the non-enforcement program, which will require as many as 1.4 million background checks and biennial rulings on requests for dispensation.”

U.S. Supreme Court Upholds Controversial Part of Arizona Immigration Law Strikes Down Three Other Parts
Supreme Court strikes down three of four parts of Arizona's immigration law, but for now upholds key provision to require police, during routine stops, to check immigration status of anyone they suspect could be in US illegally.
The Supreme Court upheld a key part of Arizona's tough-immigration law but struck down others as intrusions on federal sovereignty, in a ruling that gave both sides something to cheer in advance of November elections where immigration is a major issue.
The court backed a section of the Arizona state law that calls for police to check the immigration status of people they stop.
That section was one of four at issue before the high court. The others make it a crime for immigrants without work permits to seek employment; make it a crime for immigrants to fail to carry registration documents, and authorize the police to arrest any immigrant they believe has committed a deportable offense. Those other three provisions were struck down.
Five justices were in the majority choosing to strike down the three provisions. Dissenting justices argued that the whole law should have been upheld.
Lower federal courts blocked the four provisions from taking effect after Republican Gov. Jan Brewer signed the measure in 2010. The courts agreed with the Justice Department that the undermined federal authority over immigration.
The law is part of the broader national debate over immigration, which heated up last week when President Barack Obama and Republican rival Mitt Romney spoke before a group of Hispanic officials.
Mr. Obama touted his announcement the previous week that his administration will stop deporting many young illegal immigrants, while Mr. Romney used his speech to soften his tone on immigration and call for a long-term overhaul that would allow more newcomers to receive green cards. The candidates are both stepping up their appeals to the fast-growing bloc of Hispanic voters.
Democrats have accused the Arizona law's supporters of having an anti-immigrant agenda, while the law's mostly Republican backers say they want to secure the nation's borders.
Arizona's illegal-immigration measure, officially titled the Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act and known as SB 1070, reflected outrage among tea-party conservatives over what they considered lax enforcement by federal immigration authorities.
Similar laws were introduced in other states, including Alabama, which recently drew unwelcome attention when executives from German and Japanese car makers that the state had pushed to bring there were arrested for failing to produce immigration papers.
During arguments before the Supreme Court in April, justices suggested it was acceptable for Arizona to make rules in areas where Congress had contemplated an enforcement role for states. They observed that federal law already requires U.S. immigration officials to answer questions from state police about a person's status.
Several said they had trouble seeing constitutional problems in a blanket state policy encouraging police to check the status of people who were stopped if those people looked as if they might be in the country illegally.
But the justices were more skeptical of any state effort to pile penalties on illegal immigrants beyond what Congress envisioned.
Congress has been in a long stalemate over immigration, with proposals for a broad overhaul getting little traction. That has led Mr. Obama to use his executive powers to make some changes.
Following the Supreme Court arguments, the Obama administration announced illegal immigrants wouldn't be placed in deportation proceedings merely for a traffic violation, part of continuing efforts to devote resources to deporting foreigners who have committed serious crimes.

Israeli News Blames Barack Obama For Muslim Brotherhood’s Rise to Power
Israel National News blamed Barack Obama for the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. This report was published today after Muslim Brotherhood candidate Muhammed Morsi won the presidential election in Egypt.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu issued an official reaction to the victory of Islamist Mohammed Mursi in Egypt’s presidential elections Sunday.
“Israel appreciates the democratic process in Egypt and respects its results,” said Netanyahu.
“Israel expects the continuation of the cooperation with the Egyptian regime on the basis of the peace treaty between the two countries, which is an interest of both peoples and contributes to the stability of the region,” he added.
With over 80 million inhabitants, Egypt is the most populous Arab country and has always been considered Israel’s most formidable neighbor. When Egyptian president Anwar Sadat ended 30 years of formal enmity by recognizing Israel and signing a peace treaty with it, many Israelis saw this as the beginning of the end of the existential threat to Israel from its neighbors. In return for the treaty, Israel handed over the entire Sinai Peninsula, which it had captured from Egypt in the Six Day War.
Sadat was assassinated by Muslim extremists because of the peace treaty and was replaced by Hosni Mubarak, who ruled for 30 years. The friendliness of U.S. President Barack Obama toward the Muslim Brotherhood, a movement formerly considered illegitimate by the West, is now seen as one of the reasons for Mubarak’s downfall and the Brotherhood’s rise to power.
Israelis are now concerned that Egypt may cease to honor its treaty with Israel, and that terror from Sinai and Gaza will increase.
Yesterday, Egyptian secular leaders blasted the Obama administration’s support for the Muslim Brotherhood.
Wild Thing's comment.........
We all know how Obama favors the Muslims and the Muslim Brotherhood over Israel. Who knows what will be in the future between Israel and Egypt.

Brit Hume on Fast and Furious: ‘The scent of a cover-up is pretty strong’
Brit Hume on Fast and Furious: ‘The scent of a cover-up is pretty strong’
On this weekend’s broadcast of “Fox News Sunday,” Fox News senior political analyst Brit Hume made the case that there could indeed be evidence that the Department of Justice is involved in a cover-up of operation-turned-scandal Fast and Furious.
Hume questioned the Obama administration’s use of executive privilege to withhold documents pertaining to the program.
“I think the scent of a cover-up is pretty strong,” Hume said. “The documents are being withheld — I don’t think there is any evidence that this is not executive privilege made because of presidential communications, which is where the strongest privilege lies, are involved here. This is internal Justice Department deliberations that, so far as we know, don’t involve the president or the White House. And what the Justice Department is saying is we got to have confidentiality here and not have Congress snooping in our internal deliberations. Well, the courts recognized some privilege in that area but not much, and I think it is basically a frivolous claim.”
According to Hume, Congress has acted legitimately during its investigation of Fast and Furious, despite the several criticisms of overreach.
“There was a false letter sent here and evidence of cover-up,” he continued. “The committee is trying to get to the bottom of it and see who said what to whom and when and what the process was. This is the kind of things that investigating committees in Congress are entitled to, where executive agencies which are creatures of Congress by the way — they’re part of the executive and created by Congress and funded by Congress, are supposed to investigate. But the effect of it will be to delay matters until probably after the election. That I think satisfies the Obama White House and the Holder Justice Department’s purpose here, which is to put this off.”

Brit Hume is pretty good most of the time. I like what he has said on Fast and Furious.

Monster Jerry Sandusky Under Suicide Watch - Why? Don't protect him!
Bellefonte, Pennsylvania (CNN) -- With the same decision announced on count after count -- guilty, guilty, guilty -- Jerry Sandusky's emphatic denials he had sexually abused boys for years became obsolete, closing a chapter in a saga that has gripped Penn State and the nation.
After a three-week trial featuring emotional and often graphic testimony from eight of the former Penn State assistant football coach's victims, a 12-person jury late Friday night convicted him on 45 of 48 counts. There were convictions related to all 10 victims alleged by prosecutors, with the three not-guilty verdicts applying to three individuals.
The verdict prompted people in central Pennsylvania to breathe a sigh of relief, believing a man many called a "monster" would pay the price for his crimes and their impact on his victims, as well as the Penn State community.
After Judge John Cleland revoked his bail Friday, Sandusky somberly left the courthouse in handcuffs, silently ducking into a police car as reporters asked him if he had anything to say to his victims.
He is on what it is commonly called suicide watch, one of his lawyers Karl Rominger told CNN. The move is a precaution and does not mean his client is suicidal, the lawyer insisted, saying the judge and warden just wanted "to put the precautions in place first and then evaluate later."
Sandusky will be classified at Pennsylvania's Camp Hill diagnostic facility before he is likely sent to a sex offender unit in the state prison system, Rominger said.
He should be sentenced in about 90 days, according to Cleland. If he gets more than two years, the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections will determine the prison where Sandusky will serve his time.
Sandusky's stepson also stated yesterday that his father had abused him. However, jurors were not aware of this as they were sequestered.
Wild Thing's comment.............
He should be put to death and as soon as possible.

The editor of Germany’s leading business daily – Handelsblatt – responds to President Obama’s recent testiness at one of their reporters at the G20 Summit as a result of an editorial written in the paper by Mitt Romney’s Chief Economics Adviser Glenn Hubbard.
The editor, Gabor Steingart, explains how Barack Obama has dramatically and dangerously accelerated America’s descent into unmanageable debt, and suggests Obama is right that there can only be one President at a time – “But maybe he’s the wrong guy in the driver’s seat.”

Botox Brain Nancy Pelosi: Obama Should Unilaterally Eliminate The Debt Ceiling By Declaring It Unconstitutional
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., thinks that President Obama should unilaterally eliminate the debt ceiling, rather than negotiate with Congress to spend more money when the United States hits the debt ceiling later this year.
“I would like to see the Constitution used to protect the country’s full faith and credit, as the Constitution does,” Pelosi told reporters Wednesday. She was endorsing the idea that Obama should use the 14th Amendment — which states that “The validity of the public debt of the United States . . . shall not be questioned” — to circumvent House Republicans who want spending cuts in exchange for another debt ceiling hike.
“I think he should [declare the debt ceiling unconstitutional],” Pelosi said, though she wouldn’t predict Obama’s move. “I’m in a different branch of government. In the minority, in the House. What do I know about what the president’s going to do?”
Pelosi is in a different branch of government — the only one that has the authority to “borrow Money on the credit of the United States,” as Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution establishes. And she is in the minority, which increases the likelihood that Obama will have to agree to spending cuts in order to get a debt-ceiling increase.

She gets worse by the day hahhahaa. Honestly she has lost all reality.

Gov. Bobby Jindal making the point that President Obama is simply unable to run on his record, and is therefore, trying to run against former President George W. Bush:
“Now all of a sudden he’s trying to run against President Bush, eight years too late for that. Brian Terry’s Parents on Obama Adminstration: They Need to Get Their Heads Out of Their Butt… They’re Lying and Hiding Something
The parents of Brian Terry, the US Border Agent who was killed in the Fast and Furious scandal, were on with Sean Hannity tonight. The Terrys said they’d like to tell the Obama Administration to “get their heads out of their butt.” The Terrys also said the Obama Administration is lying and covering something up.

By the way, I didn’t catch it because I stopped recording 10 seconds too soon but Juan calls it a “witch hunt” at the very end and Hannity says, these parents (of Brian Terry) want to know why their son died. Forget the facts in the Fast and Furious investigation. Sheila Jackson Lee has other reasons for supporting Eric Holder, namely his help in the patent law and civil rights arenas, or something.

Fantastic Rep. Trey Gowdy a Hero and Warrior for Truth and America
After hours of feigned outrage and different maneuvers from Democrats to try and stop the contempt hearing, Rep. Trey Gowdy finally took his turn and passionately laid out the case for why there is no more time for AG Eric Holder, noting the proof that high level officials in the DOJ knew about gunwalking well before Brian Terry was murdered.
But then a few minutes later he spoke up again to address the calls to blame the Bush administration, saying that he’s for bringing anyone before the committee who knows about gunwalking because it’s wrong under any administration. But, he adds, none of that mitigates Holder’s responsibility to comply with a subpoena from Congress and to comply with the law.

Awesome Neil Cavuto Rips EC President for Saying U.S. Banks Created Europe’s Mess
Remember Who Magically Appears to Save Your Sorry Ass’: Cavuto Rips EC President for Saying U.S. Banks Created Europe’s Mess
Fox News Channel’s Neil Cavuto closed his 4.pm. show Tuesday with possibly the most epic cable news rant of the year, torching European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso for daring to blame the European economic crisis on North America.
“For god’s sake wake up and sniff your obviously spiked cappuccino,” Cavuto exclaimed while commenting in frustration on Barroso’s remarks during the G20 summit in Mexico Tuesday. “U.S. banks did not create your mess, you did. U.S. banks did not grant cradle-to-the-grave government protections that were unsustainable decades ago let alone today, you did. U.S. banks did not make austerity a foreign concept in Europe, you did. And U.S. banks didn’t force public workers to retire at age 52 or refuse to ask them to contribute so much as a single euro to their healthcare benefits, or their prescription drug benefits, or their ridiculously–unaffordable spousal and kid benefits, you did.
“You created the safety net and now you’re throwing us under the net? I don’t think so Peppe. We are many things in this country, but even our most gullible institutions aren’t half that stupid.”
Cavuto exploded after hearing Barroso’s remarks during a news conference on the first day of the G20 summit in Mexico Tuesday. When asked by a reporter why funds from North American governments should be used to help Europe, the Portuguese politician and European Commission President answered that there needs to be cooperation among the world’s governments, but noted that ”this crisis was not originated in Europe.”
“Since you mention North America, this crisis was originated in North America and many of our financial sector was contaminated by, how can I put it, unorthodox practices, from some sectors of the financial market,” Barroso said.
Cavuto would not have such remarks from “pathetic finger-pointing socialists.”

Communist Van Jones: EPA Has Saved More Lives Than The American Military
Van Jones: EPA Has Saved More Lives Than The American Military
Van Jones, former green czar to President Obama, suggested that the Keystone XL pipeline could harm America the way crack cocaine destroys the human body as he called for a grassroots environmentalist movement to push for cap and trade.
Jones praised the activists who fought Keystone by developing a drug metaphor. “They said, ‘we’re not going to let them jab this dirty needle of a pipeline into America. We’re not going to let them take the dirtiest energy ever created and cook it up and stick it into this country,” he said at the Take Back the American Dream conference in Washington D.C. this morning. “Through their courage, the project was derailed.” Obama and the White House have tried to limit the perception that they yielded to environmentalists on the issue, instead saying that the pipeline could be built once a suitable route is planned and approved. [...]
Jones’ crack cocaine metaphor followed his suggestion that Republican budget hawks would cause American children to die. “They say we’ve got to eliminate the EPA — just wipe it out,” he said. “The EPA, which has probably saved more American lives in the past 30 years than even the Department of Defense. The EPA which is keeping the poison out of our childrens’ bodies.”
Wild Thing's comment.........

Obama's Bio "Dreams From My Father " Full Of Lies ( video)
Barack Obama’s most recent biographer David Maraniss has discovered that Obama’s memoir was less a reliable historical account — and more of a carefully crafted didactic narrative intended to score political points.
1) Hussein Onyango, Barack’s grandfather, wasn’t really imprisoned and tortured by the British.
2) The father of his Indonesian stepfather, Soewarno Martodihardjo, wasn’t killed by Dutch soldiers in the fight for independence.
3) Obama wrote that he broke up with his New York girlfriend in part because she was white. But his next girlfriend, an anthropologist in Chicago, was also white.
4) In his memoir, Obama mentions he missed out on playing time in high school basketball because he coach preferred players who “play like white boys do.” In fact, Obama had to work hard just to make the team, and race had nothing to do with it.
5. Obama wrote that he broke up with his New York girlfriend in part because she was white. But his next girlfriend, an anthropologist in Chicago, was also white.
6. Obama cuts out two white college roommates entirely.
7. Obama wrote about his high school friends as an alienated, ne'er-do-well "club of disaffection." In fact, most members of the "Choom Gang" were "decent students and athletes" who went on to successful careers.
8. Obama's mother left his father, not the other way around.

Charles Krauthammer Charges Obama With 'Constitutional Indecency'
“Beyond the pandering and the politics and the process, it's constitutional indecency. This is out and out lawlessness. You had a clip of a president himself saying months ago "I cannot do this on my own because there are laws on the books." I have news for president - the laws remain on the books. They haven't changed. He proposed the DREAM act of which the executive order is a variation. He proposed a DREAM act. The Congress said no. The Congress is the one who makes the laws. What the administration does is administer the law. In fact what it's pretending to do is use discretion. That's what the homeland security said. This is not discretion. That's when you treat it on a one-by-one basis on extenuating circumstances. This is declaration of a new set of criteria which is essentially resurrecting legislation that the Congress has said no to. This is not how you run a constitutional republic. This should be in hands of Congress. It's end run. What is ironic is for eight years the Democrats have been screaming about the imperil president, the nonsense about the unitary executive. This is out and out lawlessness, not how you govern.”

Thank God for Charles, he is always so fantastic.

Mitt Romney: "Hope & Change" Obama now "Hoping to Change the Subject" from Disastrous Record (video)
Complete video today of Mitt Romney’s remarks at a Campaign Rally on his Bus Tour in Newark, Ohio. Romney gave a brief, but energetic speech that really is beginning to zero in on just a few key themes that can form the basis of his Fall stump speech. Romney is methodically turning his campaign into a call to action for Americans who want to reverse the disastrous European-style big Government, high taxes, deficit-spending paradigm. His call to take up the torch of Freedom from the Greatest Generation and preserve America for the future has a strong appeal. His optimism about the future of America if we return to the principles that made us great is simple but strong. After 3+ years of economic failure by Barack Obama, Americans are hungry for real hope and optimism that things can get better. Romney needs to keep hammering these themes.

Obama: The Biggest Government Spender In World History
Obama: The Biggest Government Spender In World History
The U.S. has never before had a President who thinks so little of the American people that he imagines he can win re-election running on the opposite of reality. But that is the reality of President Obama today.
Waving a planted press commentary, Obama recently claimed on the campaign stump, “federal spending since I took office has risen at the slowest pace of any President in almost 60 years.”
Peggy Noonan aptly summarized in last weekend’s Wall Street Journal the take away by the still holding majority of Americans living in the real world:
“There is, now, a house-of-cards feel about this administration. It became apparent some weeks ago when the President talked on the stump – where else? – about an essay by a fellow who said spending growth [under Obama] is actually lower than that of previous Presidents. This was startling to a lot of people, who looked into it and found the man had left out most spending from 2009, the first year of Mr. Obama’s Presidency. People sneered: The President was deliberately using a misleading argument to paint a false picture! But you know, why would he go out there waiving an article that could immediately be debunked? Maybe because he thought it was true. That’s more alarming, isn’t it, the idea that he knows so little about the effects of his own economic program that he thinks he really is a low spender.”
What this shows most importantly is that the recognition is starting to break through to the general public regarding the President’s rhetorical strategy that I’ve have been calling Calculated Deception. The latter is deliberately using a misleading argument to paint a false picture. That has been a central Obama practice not only throughout his entire presidency, but also as the foundation of his 2008 campaign strategy, and actually throughout his whole career.
Rest assured, Ms. Noonan, that the President is not as nuts as he may seem at times. He knows very well that he is not a careful spender. His whole mission is to transform the U.S. not into a Big Government country, but a Huge Government country, because only a country run by a Huge Government can be satisfactorily controlled by superior, all wise and beneficent individuals like himself. That is why he is at minimum a Swedish socialist, if not worse. Notice, though, how far behind the times he and his weak minded supporters are, as even the Swedes have abandoned Swedish socialism as a failure.

Wild Thing's comment..........
IMO there is a point where the right will not stand for anymore from Obama and all those threats from the left will look like a picnic if Obama is elected again. I have no idea what would happen, but one can feel it when talking to others about this election.

Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez Says Obama Immigration Move Violates Oath Of Office
Former United States Attorney General Alberto Gonzales sat down with Uma Pemmaraju to talk publicly for the first time about President Obama’s policy shift on immigration. While Gonzales believes the government needs to do something to help qualify immigrant children, he said he has a problem with the way the president is trying to accomplish that goal.
He said, “Substantively the problem I have is that it doesn’t deal with a more secure border, it doesn’t deal with requiring tougher workplace enforcement, it doesn’t deal with visa overstayers, it doesn’t deal with the millions of immigrants who came to this country illegally as adults.”
Gonzales said the decision was politically motivated being that it is an election season. He called the move a “temporary fix” and said the issue is “going to require combined wisdom of the White House and the leadership in Congress to find a solution.”
He agrees with Governor Romney that this kind of action may make it difficult to pass widespread immigration reform. “I believe strongly it’s important for this country, to know who’s in this country in a post–9/11 world and why they’re here.”
Gonzales said, “The best way to deal with this issue is in a comprehensive fashion that’s consistent with the rule of law.” He continued that the law would need to meet both national security and economic needs of the United States. “There are things that should be done in conjunction to reassure everyone that we are not only a compassionate nation in taking care of these kids, but we’re also a nation of laws and that we enforce our laws.”
Wild Thing's comment.............
If they fall for this from Obama it shows also how little they realilze what a liar he is. Let's say he does not win the election even with this breaking the law he is doing so they can vote.... all Romney would have to do if he wins would be to overturn it.Then they would be right back where they were before. Not sure if that is possible but if I was the new President I sure would try.

Obama In Panic Mode and Desperate for Votes Announces No More Immigration Laws for the ILLEGALS under 30 Then He Snaps At Reporter
A testy Obama yesterday in the Rose Garden of the White House getting into a tense exchange with The Daily Caller’s Neil Munro.
The exchange occurred as Obama was announcing his decision to not enforce immigration law on deporting illegal aliens who meet the qualifications under the never passed DREAM Act. What Obama is doing is not actual legislation, but an Executive decision to simply not enforce the law against an estimated 800,000 young illegal aliens.
When reporter Neil Munro dared to ask Obama why he is choosing to favor foreign workers over Americans? As you can see, Obama’s anger showed and he answered accordingly as Munro asked him several times.
Isn’t it interesting that Barack Obama makes this move less than 5 months before the election when he desperately needs to energize Hispanic voters to rally to his side? Obama had complete control of Congress for two years and did NOTHING on Immigration. He showed by his actions for those two years he does not care one wit about what he now claims is “the right thing to do.”
He went on to explain that he believes it’s not okay to treat the specified young illegals as expendable and that it “makes no sense to expel talented young people” who are essentially Americans. He says he was taking the action in the absence of action by Congress “to fix our broken system.”
.
Mitt Romney responds to what Obama is determined to do.
Mitt Romney discussed his views on Obama’s new immigration policy, saying, “Young people that come here for no fault of their own is an important matter to be considered and should be solved on a long-term basis so they know what their future would be in this country.
I think the action that the president took today makes it more difficult to reach that long-term solution because an executive order is, of course, just a short-term matter – it can be reversed by subsequent presidents.”
Romney stated that he agrees with Senator Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) on this issue, and that if Romney becomes president he promises to do his very best to have a long-term solution that would provide certainty and clarity for the people entering this country by the action of their parents.
.
Wild Thing's comment.............

Please CLICK HERE TO SEE THE VIDEO......Thank you.
"Beyond the pandering, beyond the politics, beyond the process is simple constitutional decency. This is out-and-out lawlessness. You had a clip of the president himself say months ago 'I cannot do this on my own because there are laws on the books.' Well, I have news for the president: The laws remain on the books, they haven't changed," syndicated columnist Charles Krauthammer said on "FOX News" tonight.
"He proposed the DREAM Act of which the executive order is a variation. He proposed a DREAM Act. The Congress said no. The Congress is the one who makes the laws. What the administration does is it administers law. And in fact, what it's pretending to do is to use discretion, that's what the Homeland Security Secretary said," Dr. Krauthammer said.
"This is not discretion," he said. "Discretion is when you treat it on a one-by-one basis on the grounds of extenuating circumstances. This is the declaration of a whole new set of criteria, which is essentially resurrecting the legislation that the Congress has said no to."
“And I think this is not how you run a constitutional Republic. This ought to be in the hands of Congress, and it is an end-run. What's ironic of course is for eight years, the Democrats have been screaming about the imperial presidency with the Bush administration, the nonsense about the unitary executive. This is out-and-out lawlessness. This is not how you govern. And I think that's the first issue that should be on the table," Krauthammer concluded.
Wild Thing's comment...........
Charles again is sooooo good.

GOP Rep. Steve King, Allen West and Sheriff Joe Respond To Obama's Breaking Our Iimmigration Laws
Responding to Obama’s plan to override Congress in order to grant immunity to young illegals, Rep. Allen West says that we are getting away from representative government and are starting to live under a ‘rule by edict’. He adds that this proposal has more to do with political expediency than finding an appropriate solution to our immigration problem.
.
Rep. Steve King to sue Obama administration over new immigration policy
.
PHOENIX - Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio sat down at ABC15 to talk about the new changes by the Obama administration to stop deporting younger illegal immigrants.
The announcement came in around 6:30 a.m. Friday that some illegal immigrants will be granted work permits if they meet certain requirements.
"I think people from Mexico are now going to feel, 'Hey come on in and we'll get by with it.' But it won't happen in this county. They will still be arrested," Arpaio said.
According to The Associated Press, this change will affect as many as 800,000 immigrants who have lived in fear of deportation.
"This seems to be politically motivated," Arpaio said. "I would rather see the president let Congress decide what to do on this issue and other illegal immigration problems."
.

This whole thing is because Obama watched the polls and see's that Romney is doing better then he is and he see's he might not get a second term.
Like Rush Limbaugh has said many times as well. Obama and the left always drop a bombshell on a Friday afternoon. I will add then in regards to Obama he drops bombs every day on our country.

This is Entirely Barack Obama's Fault! Canada is building pipelines to sell gas to China
In April, Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper revealed disheartening consequences for America’s energy policy at a think-tank event in Washington. Asked about President Obama’s decision to put off a decision on the construction of the cross-border Keystone XL pipeline, Harper explained that it would permanently alter Canadian energy policy.
What it really has highlighted for Canada is that our issue when it comes to energy and energy security is not North American self-sufficiency. Our energy [issue] is the necessity of diversifying our energy export markets. We can not be, as a country, in a situation where really our one, and in many cases almost only, energy partner could say no to our energy products. We just cannot be in that kind of position.
Stephen Harper was not making an idle threat or a political statement. Canada is moving full speed ahead with plans to sell tar-sands oil to other consumers, particularly China.
Keystone Fallout: As Promised, Canada Building Pipelines to Sell Oil to China
Harper went on to say that the alternative to a pipeline south into the Gulf region of the United States was a pipeline west to reach the markets of Asia. Now fast forward a couple months, and the New York Times is reporting this:
While Joe Oliver, Canada’s minister of natural resources, said in an interview that the United States would remain Canada’s “most important customer,” billions of barrels of oil that would have been refined and used in the United States are now poised to head elsewhere. Expansion of Canada’s fast-growing oil-sands industry will be restricted by the lack of pipeline capacity before the decade’s end, he said, which “adds to the urgency of building them so that the resources will not be stranded.”
Three new pipeline network proposals — two that call for heading west and the other east — have been put forward.

I could NOT hate Obama more then I do. This whole thing he all his fault, he cannot blame anyone else for this. He wants our country destroyed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FUBO
I asked Nick about it and he said it still might not be too late and that maybe we can still do some of it with Canada once Romney is president. Romney is all for the pipeline.

Taxpayers Foot Bill For Obama Celebrity Fundraisers
Taxpayers Foot Part of the Bill For Obama to Attend Elite Fundraisers
This is how Obama saves money for his campaign and makes taxpayers foot the heavy part of the bill. He schedules an ‘official visit’ to the World Trade Center on the same day he’s going to multiple fundraisers in Manhattan:
However, the President’s re-election campaign will not have to pay the full cost of his jaunt to the Big Apple, as he is combining the trip with an official event which will be charged to the taxpayer.
Before the fundraisers, one at Sarah Jessica Parker’s house and one at the five-star Plaza Hotel, Mr Obama scheduled a visit to the World Trade Center site.

Poll: More Israelis Think Romney Would Be Friendlier Than Obama - You Bet ! Romney Is Pro Israel Unlike Obama!
Poll: More Israelis Think Romney Would Be Friendlier Than Obama
The fact that Israelis have conflicted attitudes toward US President Barack Obama came out loud and clear in a poll released on Thursday.
The survey — commissioned by the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, the Bar-Ilan University Center for International Communication and the Anti-Defamation League — found that while 51 percent of Israeli Jews believe Obama is “friendly” or “very friendly” toward Israel, more people think the expected Republican presidential candidate, Mitt Romney, would better promote Israel’s interests.
When detailed questions were asked, a picture emerged of a public that has considerable questions about the president’s Middle East policies.
For instance, when asked whether Romney or Obama would better promote Israel’s interests, 29% said Romney and 22% said Obama. Perhaps most telling was that while Obama had been in office for more than three years, 49% said they did not know or would not answer the question.
Thirty percent of the respondents said US-Israeli ties would improve under a Romney presidency, 26% said they would remain the same and only 6% said they would get worse.
A slim three percentage points separated those who believe Obama when he says he is “steadfast on preventing Iran from having nuclear weapons and will use all means available to achieve this goal” (45%) and those who do not believe him (42%), with another 13% either unsure or not willing to respond.
A higher percentage (36%) said they believed Romney would work “more decisively and steadfastly than Obama against the Iranian nuclear weapons program” than those saying he would not (26%).
Wild Thing's comment...............
Obama hates Israel. I hope this time around those that are for Israel wake up and see how much Obama is NOT for the Jews or for Israel.

Krauthammer on Obama’s Latest Whining Attempt to Blame GW Bush: Americans Won’t Buy it because “There’s a Kind of Psychological Statute of Limitations on Whining” – Video
harles Krauthammer tonight destroying President Obama’s most recent attempt to blame George W. Bush for everything wrong in America under his own 3 1/2 years as President. Obama recently likened his situation to being invited to the table only to have the other parties order a steak dinner and drinks and then leave him holding the tab. Krauthammer said Obama’s analogy is false because what he actually did was sit down at the table as President and proceed to “order steak and martinis for the next 1,000 days and sends you and I the bill.”
Krauthammer said Americans won’t buy Obama’s latest whining “blame Bush” attempt because, “there’s a kind of psychological statute of limitations on whining.”

Flag Day 2012 ...Our Standard Old Glory - God Bless America
Flag Day in the United States of America, observed every year on June 14, is an opportunity to honor the American flag. It's a chance to reflect on our flag's history and to celebrate this symbol of the freedoms we enjoy as Americans.
The first American flag was made in 1776 by Betsy Ross, who was George Washington's seamstress. On June 14, 1777, the Second Continental Congress resolved the adoption of the flag of the United States. The idea of having a day every year to commemorate this event is believed to have been started in 1885 by Bernard J. Cigrand, a Wisconsin school teacher. During the following three decades, others continued recognizing our flag on June 14. Flag Day was officially established by President Woodrow Wilson in 1916 as a day to celebrate the anniversary of the 1777 resolution.
.
Red Skelton's "Pledge of Allegiance" was first introduced on the Red Skelton Show on January 14, 1969. It has since been twice read into the congressional record of The United States and has received numerous awards.

Wild Thing's comment ...............
This is to honor those that fought for our country, that carried our Flag into battle. For everything our Flag means and stands for. For our troops that look at our Flag especially when in country and know those that served before them, fought too for our freedom and security. Soldier trades smokes for maimed dog in Afghanistan
Soldier trades smokes for maimed dog in Afghanistan
Army sergeant "Nick B" surely saw some heart-wrenching horrors during his stint in Afghanistan, but one of them he realized he had to change. When he came across a tied-up dog covered in mud, its ears and tail hacked off, Nick knew he needed to get the pup away from its owners. He traded his cigarettes for the dog, won his trust with beef jerky and worked out a deal with the Puppy Rescue Mission to transport his new pal, Bodhi, through Taliban-controlled areas and out of the country. The pair had an emotional reunion in Florida last weekend. "He's going to have a great life with us," Nick said. See? Cigarettes are good for something.

Government Report: As A Result Of Obamacare Health Care Spending Will Be $478 Billion Higher Over Next Decade
Government Report: As A Result Of Obamacare Health Care Spending Will Be $478 Billion Higher Over Next Decade
hen President Obama began pushing national health care legislation in 2009, he argued that reform was needed to rein in the unsustainable growth in health care spending that was crippling the budgets of businesses, states and the federal government. But a new government actuarial study finds that as a result of the law, health care spending will be $478 billion higher over the next decade than it would have otherwise been had no law been passed.
Furthermore, as a result of the health care law, about 50 cents of every dollar of health care spending in the United States will be financed by government by 2021, according to the report from the actuary’s office at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, unveiled today in the journal Health Affairs.
Already, supporters of greater government involvement in the health care sector are touting the report. “It’s delivering more coverage for the same dollars,” Austin Frakt, a professor at the Boston University School of Public Health, told the Huffington Post’s Jeffery Young.

A Must See Video! Cornyn Scorches Atty Gen Holder During Senate Hearing & Tells Him To Resign !
Senator John Cornyn, (R-TX) called on Attorney General Eric Holder to resign during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing today in Washington. CORNYN: You’ve violated the public trust in my view by failing to perform the duties of your office. So, Mr. Attorney General it is with more sorrow than with regret and anger that I would say you leave me with no alternative but to join those who call on you to resign your office…
HOLDER: Senator, with all due respect there is so much wrong with the premises that you started your statement with it’s almost breathtaking in its inaccuracy…The desire here is not for an accommodation but for political point-making and that is the kind of thing that you and your side have the ability to do if that’s what you want to do, but it’s that what turns people off about Washington, while we have serious problems we’re still involved with this political gamesmanship.

Obama and His Administration Denies Veterans Access to Vietnam Memorial on Memorial Day (Video)
Obama Administration Denies Veterans Access to Vietnam Memorial on Memorial Day
US veterans were denied access to the Vietnam Memorial on Memorial Day because Obama was going to give a speech there.
According to retired Lt General John Sylvester – 0bama was only there for 16 minutes, around 9:00 AM. They had the area closed until 3:00 PM.
Due to high security surrounding President Obama’s visit to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Memorial Day, many veterans were turned away, unable to mourn their fellow soldiers at The Wall.
Retired Army Lieutenant General John Sylvester was one of the vets turned away, and he spoke out about the rebuff on Fox and Friends. Sylvester said that he didn’t take offense on his own behalf, but on behalf of all those who died in the war. He said, “It’s about those 58,000 plus soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines that are represented on that wall. That wall is America’s wall. It is not the presidents wall.”
The organization of which Sylvester is a part, the 11th Armored Cavalry Association, gathers on both Memorial Day and Veterans Day to place a wreath on the wall and to “be able to stand there reflectively, to be able to reach up and touch names of real-life humans, people that we knew, and it is our day as veterans to go and honor those men who are represented on that wall.”

Former Dem Rep. Artur Davis: “Millions of Americans” Have Left Democratic Party in Last 4 Years (Video)
Former Democrat Representative and Obama Supporter Artur Davis told Greta Van Susteren tonight that he will vote for Republican Mitt Romney. Davis said,
“You leave a party because on a whole range of issues you just don’t feel the comfort, you don’t feel at home anymore. That’s where I am but I’m not alone. Millions of Americans who supported the Democratic Party four years ago have left because they no longer see their views and their common sense represented in the Democratic Party.“

Reagan is a good example of a change like that and David Horowitz was a communist and woke up so I will never not give a dem that wakes up a chance at leaat.

Great Support For Our Troops!
At the Palazzo hotel in Las Vegas they host this event on Memorial Day weekend for our troops, our woundeded heroes. They have done this 7 times in the last 6 years.
This year marked the seventh time Dr. Miriam and Sheldon Adelson, chairman and chief executive officer of Las Vegas Sands, have hosted wounded veterans as part of The Venetian and The Palazzo's "Salute Our Troops" weekend with the Armed Forces Foundation. Over the past six years, the company has hosted more than 600 veterans and their guests as part of the patriotic celebrations.
The veterans arrived by police motorcade today and were greeted with the cheers of more than 400 Venetian and Palazzo team members before arriving in the resort atrium for a grand welcome ceremony. Students from the Adelson School Campus sung the National Anthem while the Nellis Air Force Base Honor Guard presented the colors. Executives from Las Vegas Sands, Southwest, Armed Forces Foundation and Omaha Steaks addressed the crowd as well as NASCAR driver and local resident Kurt Busch.
The veterans were flown in from San Antonio Military Medical Center on behalf of Southwest Airlines and will enjoy three nights as VIP guests in all-suite accommodations, spa and salon treatments at Canyon Ranch SpaClub, tickets to Blue Man Group and Madame Tussauds and an evening at TAO Nightclub among other over-the-top amenities. Wow. Lefty Chris Matthews is not pleased with the Barack Obama Campaign, right now.

Panic Mode as Obama Adviser David Axelrod was Asked Three Times if “the Private Sector is Doing Fine?” Refuses to Give Direct Answer in Rambling Responses
Obama Adviser David Axelrod Asked Three Times if “the Private Sector is Doing Fine?” Refuses to Give Direct Answer in Rambling Responses
Devastating.
If the Obama Campaign Team is not careful, their horrific attempts to defend Obama’s “the private sector is doing fine” gaffe will do him more damage than the initial statement! Witness Chief Adviser David Axelrod today on CNN, where Candy Crowley asked him three times the simple question, “Is the private sector doing fine?” Axelrod would never give a direct answer and generally made a fool out of himself breathlessly trying to trot out every excuse and argument to divert from the simple question. But every time, to her credit, Crowley kept coming back to ask the question again.
A simple statement by Obama on Friday that “I misspoke” and obviously the private sector is not doing fine would have mitigated the damage. But Obama’s pride is keeping him from doing that – or is it his Leftist ideology that really does not care about the condition of the private sector. It’s the growth and flourishing of Government that thrills him and his people. At any rate, what they are doing is not working. Axelrod had better come up with a better answer soon. Even the liberal media is starting to get restless.

Obama Tries to Walk Back His saying "Private Sector is Doing Fine" Even Democrats Upset With Him ( videos)
What a gift this statement was by Obama. Oh the perils of being without the teleprompter:
LOL remember how we heard constantly from the media including Wolf Blitzer for example what a wonderful speaker Obama was.....well not anymore. Listen to Wolf say Obama cannot give a speech without a teleprompter or notes. haha
.
An obviously irritated Barack Obama had to clarify his ridiculous remark earlier today, that “the private sector is doing fine.” His remark set off a firestorm, with both Mitt Romney and the Republican National Committee immediately making hay out of the statement. By this afternoon, Obama had to address the fallout by trying to clarify his remark, this time saying “It’s absolutely clear the Economy is not doing fine.”
Even the Washington Post’s Karen Tumulty knows Barack Obama’s “the private sector is doing fine” remark will haunt him for the remainder of the 2012 Election – and perhaps, beyond:
It would be hard to imagine a greater gift than the sound bite that Barack Obama handed to Republicans on Friday: “The private sector is doing fine.”
At a moment when the president is struggling to connect with the economic anxieties of the American public, that statement is likely to show up again and again in attack ads, conservative commentary and Republican stump speeches between now and November.
Those six words now stand as Exhibit A in the GOP’s case that, as Obama’s opponent Mitt Romney put it minutes later, the president is “detached and out of touch” on the issue that ranks at the top of voter concerns.
Republicans know well how toxic and corrosive one such remark can be. In 2008, their own nominee, John McCain, never recovered from his declaration that “the fundamentals of our economy are strong,” even as the financial system was melting down that September. And it was then-candidate Obama who had mocked him: “Senator, what economy are you talking about?”
.
Republican National Committee (RNC) has already moved to capitalize on Barack Obama’s unbelievable statement today that “the private sector is doing fine” in America. This ad is called, “Doing Fine.”
.
Wild Thing's comment...........
Keep it up Obama, you are showing those that have been slow to wake up exactly what you are.
He is really a mess. He had so many fooled and now that he has had his reign of terror on our country the presssure on him is huge and he just can't even campaign on a positive presidency, but only one of destruction.

News Poll: 60% Think Obamacare Mandate Violates Individual Rights
FOX News Poll: 60% Think Obamacare Mandate Violates Individual Rights
Nearly six in ten American voters want the Supreme Court to overturn at least part of the 2010 health care law, according to a new Fox News poll. .
The poll, released Friday, finds 38 percent of voters think the Supreme Court should toss out the entire law, while another 21 percent would keep most of the law, but invalidate the mandate for Americans to buy health insurance. Three voters in 10 think the court should let the entire law stand (30 percent).
When asked directly if the requirement to buy health insurance is a violation of individual rights protected by the Constitution, 60 percent of voters say yes — almost identical to the number who think the court should overturn at least that part of the health care law. . . .
A 65-percent majority of Republicans and a 40-percent plurality of independents want the law overturned completely. Some 14 percent of Democrats agree.
In general, more voters oppose the new health care law than favor it (49-40 percent). In April, soon after the court heard oral arguments, 53 percent were opposed and 40 percent favored it.
Slightly more voters say they trust Barack Obama (43 percent) than Mitt Romney (40 percent) to handle the health care issue. Nine percent say “neither.”
Wild Thing's comment...........
I hope andn pray with all I am that they vote to get rid of this monster Oboamacare.

Outrage in Congress Over Obama and His Administration Leaks
Rep. Peter King (R-NY), Chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, on CNN "Erin Burnett OutFront" on recent, damaging leaks of classified information.
.
Outrage over Obama administration leaks grows in Congress
Sen. John McCain’s furor over leaks made by current and former members of President Obama’s administration has prompted more lawmakers to join the call for an investigation.
McCain, who took to the Senate floor alongside Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) Tuesday to raise allegations that classified details crucial to the composition of two New York Times exposes, which exposed the extent of U.S. involvement in cyberattacks against Iran and the White House’s secret "Kill List," were divulged to journalists for political reasons.
The Arizona Republican said the issue “appears to be a broader administration effort to paint a portrait of President Obama as a strong leader on national security issues.”
The issue reemerged during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday, during which Deputy Atty. Gen. James Cole was asked whether the Justice Department should prompt a special prosecutor to investigate whether federal laws had been broken.
Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) was particularly pointed in this line of questioning, and Judiciary Committee Chairman Pat Leahy (D-Vt.) backed him in his inquiries.
“Do you believe that a special prosecutor, a special counsel, would be warranted?” Cornyn asked Cole, after receiving a confirmation from him that leaking classified information is “generally” a crime.”
“I don’t believe that it would be necessary in this case, no,” Cole responded.
In addition to the committee hearing, prominent members of the House and Senate Intelligence Committees filed a joint statement condemning the leaks and calling for quick action in response. Chambliss, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) and Reps. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.) and Dutch Ruppersberger (D-Md.) signed the release.
“In recent weeks, we have become increasingly concerned at the continued leaks regarding sensitive intelligence programs and activities, including specific details of sources and methods,” the statement reads. “The accelerating pace of such disclosures, the sensitivity of the matters in question, and the harm caused to our national security interests is alarming and unacceptable."

Gates to National Security Team on Osama Raid: 'Shut the F--- Up'
Robert Gates, the former defense secretary, reportedly blasted the national security team in the Obama White House for blabbing about the raid to kill Osama bin Laden. "Shut the f--- up," Gates told Tom Donilon, who is now Obama's national security adviser, according to a book by New York Times reporter David Sanger.
By Wednesday of that week, Gates went to see Donilon, offering up a barbed assessment of how the White House had handled the aftermath of the raid. ‘I have a new strategic communications approach to recommend,’ Gates said in his trademark droll tones, according to an account later provided by his colleagues. What was that, Donilon asked? ‘Shut the fuck up,’ the defense secretary said.”
The interesting detail is in Sanger's new book, Confront and Conceal, on page 107
Gates is no longer in the Obama administration, and has since voiced his displeasure over the bin Laden leaks. But this new detail signals a frustration above and beyond what has previously been expressed.

Barack Obama nor his wife Michelle Did a Single Thing to Commemorate D-Day! SHAME ON BOTH OF THEM!
Obama Not Scheduled to Commemorate D-Day
It was D-Day and President Obama is hitting the beaches – of sunny California!
Instead of scheduling a brief event to mark the 68th anniversary of America’s brutal landing on the shores of Normandy, Obama is already on his way to San Francisco, where he will hold two fundraisers before moving on to Beverly Hills to stage two more.
Obama failed to mark D-Day with either a speech or a written proclamation both last year or the year before. He did give a speech in 2009, the 65th anniversary of the event.
First Lady Michelle Obama, who has made much of her “Joining Forces” campaign to support military families, also has nothing planned for D-Day. She’ll be in New York City for a fundraiser and then in Philadelphia to meet with campaign volunteers.
Obama’s failure to mark D-Day in any significant way is both a shame and a political mistake.
Wild Thing's comment.......
This is a two edged sword. On one hand I would prefer is is never around our awesome Veterans or troops, but when it comes to doing the things a President should do and a CIC is supposed to do, Obama is the most disgusting human piece of flesh on earth. He has no shame...none.

Obama Marks D-Day Anniversary By. . . Releasing A Campaign Video From Latino Singer Tax-dodger Marc Anthony
Obama Marks D-Day Anniversary By. . . Releasing A Campaign Video From Latino Singer Marc Anthony…
The Obama campaign released an ad Wednesday featuring singer and tax-dodger Marc Anthony, targeted at Latino voters.
“We have jobs, the economy, education, immigration — President Obama is on our side on all of them,” Anthony says in the ad.
The singer will host a fundraiser for the president at the Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami Beach later this month.
Despite his support for Obama, Anthony has run afoul of the federal government in recent years.
In December 2010, the federal government filed a tax lien against the singer for $1.6 million, in addition to a $1.8 million lien filed by New York authorities — the back taxes totaled $3.4 million.
Wild Thing's comment........
All these people around Obama that do not pay their taxes. sheesh
Isn't it wonderful how Obama used D-Day to campaign and then this video as well......NOT.

D-Day June 6th, 1944 Normandy France
It was on 6th June 1944 that Operation Overlord - the long anticipated Allied invasion of Nazi-held Europe - went into action. What came to be known as the 'D-day landings'.
On the French beaches and in those hedgerows, many making the ultimate sacrifice. Over two thousand Americans, British, Canadians, and Australians died that first day, trading their lives for a single ambition...so we could live free.
The allied commander of the D-Day invasion, Gen Dwight D Eisenhower gives the order of the Day.
"Full victory - nothing else" to paratroopers in England, just before they board their airplanes to participate in the first assault in the invasion of the continent of Europe.
….”In some sectors the area was so heavily occupied by the Germans the paratroopers were fired upon while in the plane, in decent, and after landing... Many men were wounded or killed during one phase or another... The illumination created by fires on the ground was a death sentence if you were caught in an open field... This great confusion created by the troopers, moving in all directions, completely baffled the Germans in that they could not establish how many allied paratroopers had landed, or determine where our front line was. The fact that we were scattered over many miles, (mistakenly,) became advantageous to our mission..”
The first wave of assault troops of the 29th Infantry Division, it was four rifle companies landing on a hostile shore at H-hour, D-Day - 6:30 a.m., on June 6, 1944
The long-awaited liberation of France was underway. After long months in England, National Guardsmen from Virginia, Maryland and the District of Columbia found themselves in the vanguard of the Allied attack. In those early hours on the fire-swept beach the 116th Infantry Combat Team, the old Stonewall Brigade of Virginia, clawed its way through Les Moulins draw toward its objective, Vierville-sur-Mer. It was during the movement from Les Moulins that the battered but gallant 2d Battalion broke loose from the beach, clambered over the embankment, and a small party, led by the battalion commander, fought its way to a farmhouse, which became its first Command Post in France.
Wild Thing's comment .......
We owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to those who gave their lives in this giant struggle and to those who were lucky enough to come back home.
We can only imagine the horror and the dying that took place. We need to perpetuate their story of sacrifice and glory for as long as we live.
Can you see the thousands of ships offshore that formed the most powerful armada that the world has ever seen? A huge salvo is being laid down prior to the invasion. Troops climb down rope ladders into landing craft. Many invasion force craft are circling around, grouping up, just before they make their final drive for the beach.
The Germans are entrenched in concrete bunkers and gun emplacements and are shelling the approaching landing craft. Many men never make it to the beach, but instead die in the churning surf. Those who do get to the beach and tumble out of their craft are subject to horrendous machine gun fire from pillboxes that rake the entire shore. There are the dead and the dying.
Valiant army engineers mount a superhuman effort to blow a hole in the concrete barricade so troops can move inland, away from the murderous fire coming from above them.
Those first few hours must have indeed been some of the longest ever faced by bold and courageous men. May their honor and sacrifice not be forgotten, and may this event in history go down not as just about death and dying, but as a turning point for the world, toward peace. God willing, it will never have to be repeated.

Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s Victory Speech after Winning Recall Election by Wide Margin – Video
Republican Gov. Scott Walker’s Victory Speech after Winning Recall Election by Wide Margin
.
Here is a statement issued tonight by Gov. Mitt Romney congratulating GOP Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker on his huge victory tonight in the Recall Election mounted by the Democrats against him:
“I congratulate Scott Walker on his victory in Wisconsin. Governor Walker has demonstrated over the past year what sound fiscal policies can do to turn an economy around, and I believe that in November voters across the country will demonstrate that they want the same in Washington, D.C. Tonight’s results will echo beyond the borders of Wisconsin. Governor Walker has shown that citizens and taxpayers can fight back – and prevail – against the runaway government costs imposed by labor bosses. Tonight voters said ‘no’ to the tired, liberal ideas of yesterday, and ‘yes’ to fiscal responsibility and a new direction. I look forward to working with Governor Walker to help build a better, brighter future for all Americans.”

MSNBC Ed Schultz Reacts To Gov. Scott Win Last Night
Ed Schultz, an ardent supporter of unions and the recall of Gov. Scott Walker, reacts to the Wisconsin electorate voting to keep Walker as governor.
Video above.......
Schultz: “This Is Not Going To Be An Easy Night For Many Broadcasters Who Are Liberal”…
ED SCHULTZ: This is not going to be an easy night for many broadcasters who are liberal. This is not going to be an easy night for this broadcaster. To say that I’m shocked and stunned is pretty much an understatement. But I also think that it is a real warning to Americans that money is now infiltrated into our political system like we have never seen before, and the ruling by Citizens United is now a real message to every American.
It is going to take an insurmountable amount of effort on the ground for the progressive movement and the Democrats to do what they need to do in 2012. And this is also a real message to local politics that this money will filter down, and Citizens United will affect federal and state elections over time.
.
And he also said transcript below...this that is not on this video but the video for transcript below can be found just click here.
“In many respects it’s to be expected, considering how much money was thrown at this race. You know, NBC is calling it for Walker. Okay, I think it’s awful close and there’s a lot of absentee ballots yet that are still out and it’s going to be very, very close down to the wire” MSNBC’s Schultz said.
“Certainly it is not the end and it’s going to be an opportunity for the progressive movement to regroup nationally and understand exactly what they are up against,” a teary-eyed Schultz lamented.
“And this sets the template for the Republicans and tells the right-wing in this country that if they can outfund their opponent they have a real good shot as winning,” Schultz, an enthurasatic supporter of President Barack Obama in 2008 said toward the end of the segment.
Ed Schultz concluded the segment by making a wild assertion. “Scott Walker could very well be indicted in the coming days,” the MSNBC host said.
Wild Thing's comment.......
Schultz is very upset. I could care less, what about how upset the people in Wisc. have been to even have to go through this again for the left's recall.

CNN Chris Matthews Not 100% Happy With Obama
Appearing this morning on Morning Joe, Chris Matthews, the host of MSNBC’s Hardball, said of the decision to deny the Keystone XL Pipeline project that President Obama “made a mistake on that.” Matthews lamented that the Keystone project is a “good job-creation program” that would bring “tangible construction jobs” to the United States, but with President Obama still blocking the pipeline, “we just know the benefit was kissed goodbye to.”
With millions of Americans out of work, the shovel-ready Keystone XL Pipeline and the tens of thousands of jobs it would generate is at the top of Congress’ To Do List. House Republicans have passed more than 30 jobs bills, including many such as expedited approval of the Keystone XL pipeline to expand energy access and production. Our Plan for America’s Job Creators is a step in the right direction to support both energy security and economic security.

A Walker: Win Would Mean "Victory For Courage" To Take On Tough Issues
"I think it’s a sign there’s real concern, what I’ve seen over the weekend, which are voters who tell me they voted for my opponent or they tell me they’re Democrats, but in each case they tell me they’re voting for me now either because they like the courage I take on the tough problems or a number of them … tell me they don’t like the recall process. My guess is the president and his folks just want to shy away from that," Gov. Scott Walker (R-Wis.) said to FOX News about the the recall election tomorrow.
"My problem with public sector union leaders, the bosses, has been they stood in the way of protecting the taxpayer. I knew for eight years as a county official, I saw the biggest barrier to protecting core services for our people and still protecting property taxpayers was out of control special interest," Walker said to FOX News' Neal Cavuto.
Wild Thing's comment.......
He has done so many great things for his State, it would be a crime if he was not voted to continue. He is for sure one of the good guys. .

Top EPA Official: Obama Coal Regulations Will Be “Painful Every Step of the Way” As They Destroy Communities That Depend On Coal
A YouTube video released by Senator Jim Inhofe’s office shows a top Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) official admitting that the whole point of President Obama EPA’s air regulations was to kill coal and that this decision was “painful” because it causes coal communities in states like Pennsylvania and West Virginia to “go away.”
In this video, EPA Region 1 Administrator Curt Spalding tells a Yale University gathering that, “Lisa Jackson has put forth a very powerful message to the country,” that “if you want to build a coal plant you got a big problem.” Spalding goes on to explain that the decision was “painful” because “you got to remember if you go to West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and all those places, you have coal communities who depend on coal. And to say that we just think those communities should just go away, we can’t do that. But she had to do what the law and policy suggested. And it’s painful. It’s painful every step of the way.”
Wild Thing's comment............
If we told someone years ago, many years ago , that there would be a president of our country that would have as his agenda to destroy the oil and coal industries people would say we were crazy and out of our mind.

Vietnam Opens 3 Sites for MIA Search
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta made a historic visit to Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam yesterday.
The visit marks the first time a U.S. defense secretary has visited the country since the end of the Vietnam War. The bay was the main point of entry for U.S. troops and ships who docked there. Fox News’ Jennifer Griffin reported that Panetta’s visit is significant because it came a day after he addressed other defense ministers to outline new strategies for the region in order to put two-thirds of the U.S. Navy’s vessels in Asia.
The Vietnamese did not send a senior representative to meet Panetta at Cam Ranh Bay, which Griffin said shows that they are wary of welcoming the U.S. openly in order to avoid upsetting China. Panetta said, “The more I am out here, the more critical I view this region in terms of our national defense and the defense of the world.”
.
Vietnam Opens 3 Sites for MIA Search
The Vietnamese government says it will open three new sites for excavation by the US to search for troop remains from the war, as Panetta and Vietnamese counterpart exchange war artifacts.
The announcement from Vietnam Minister of Defense Phung Quang Thanh comes as U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta and his Vietnamese counterpart participated in a first-of-its-kind joint exchange of artifacts from the war in Hanoi.
A Department of Defense spokesman said in a statement the department believes Joint Prisoners of War, Missing in Action Accounting Command (JPAC) research teams will greatly benefit from access to the new sites in their search for the approximately 1,200 U.S. service members still missing in Vietnam.
"The Department of Defense believes these sites are critical to locating missing-in-action troops from the Vietnam War," spokesman George Little said.
In the artifact exchange, Panetta gave his Vietnamese counterpart the Vũ Ðình Ðoàn diary, which was taken by Robert Frazure, United States Marine Corps following Operation Indiana in 1966.
In turn, Quang Thanh presented personal letters of U.S. Army Sergeant Steve Flaherty, who was killed in action in 1969.
Both leaders agreed to return the artifacts to the relatives of the soldiers.
The bilateral meeting in Hanoi came a day after Panetta visited the deepwater port and former American military base at Cam Ranh Bay in Vietnam as part of an effort to promote a closer military partnership with the Vietnamese and reassert the U.S. presence in Asia.
The trip was an important sign of American aspirations in the region. Panetta indicated that the U.S. Navy would like to once more have regular access to the bay, which commands a strategic location on the South China Sea, The Wall Street Journal reported.
On Saturday, before arriving in Vietnam, Panetta announced that by the next decade, 60 percent of U.S. Navy warships would be stationed in the Pacific.
Panetta is in Asia as part of an effort to explain the new American strategy in the Pacific region and begin to put it into effect by trying to make progress in developing deeper partnerships with Vietnam, Singapore and India.

Obama DOJ to Florida: Let The Dead Vote! …Update: Florida to Obama DOJ: Buzz Off ~ GOD Bless Florida!
Obama DOJ to Florida: Let The Dead Vote! …
On Friday, the Holder Justice Department ordered the State of Florida to halt its purge of dead, illegal and ineligible voters.
A simple way to help prevent voter fraud and election abuse is for states to purge voter rolls. What does this mean? Getting rid of names on voter rolls of people ineligible to vote such as illegal aliens, dead people, duplicates, etc. For nearly a year, Florida election officials have asked the Department of Homeland Security for access to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement database in order to take illegal aliens and non-citizens off Florida voter rolls. Not surprisingly, DHS has been dragging its feet and has yet to comply with the request and now, the Department of Justice is stepping into the purging process and ordering Florida, a vital swing state, to stop.
The Justice Department sent a letter to Florida Secretary of State Ken Detzner Thursday evening demanding the state cease purging its voting rolls because the process it is using has not been cleared under the Voting Rights Act, TPM has learned.
DOJ also said that Florida’s voter roll purge violated the National Voter Registration Act, which stipulates that voter roll maintenance should have ceased 90 days before an election, which given Florida’s August 14 primary, meant May 16.
Five of Florida’s counties are subject to the Voting Rights Act, but the state never sought permission from either the Justice Department or a federal court to implement its voter roll maintenance program.
Update: Florida to Obama DOJ: Buzz Off
Florida state officials responded to the request today. They will continue their quest to purge purportedly ineligible people from voter-registration rolls, a representative of Secretary of State Ken Detzner said Saturday.
Florida state officials will continue their quest to purge purportedly ineligible people from voter-registration rolls, a representative of Secretary of State Ken Detzner said Saturday, in defiance of objections from the U.S. Justice Department and county officials who say the policy violates two federal voting laws.
On Thursday, T. Christian Herren Jr., the head of the Justice Department’s voting section, said the effort to remove voters appears to violate the 1965 Voting Rights Act, which outlaws discriminatory voting practices that disenfranchise minorities. On a list of almost 2,700 voters the state suspects are noncitizens, blacks and Latinos were disproportionately represented, according to an analysis by the Miami Herald, which concluded Democratic and independent voters are the most likely to be targeted.
Despite the warning, Detzner’s representative said on Saturday the state intends to go forward with its campaign. “We have a year-round obligation to ensure the integrity of Florida’s elections. We will be responding to (the Justice Department’s) concerns next week,” Chris Cate wrote in an email to Reuters.

CNN (and Piers Morgan) In Audience Crisis
Stories aren't the only thing that high-profile studio anchors at CNN apparently know how to break. Judging by the latest TV ratings, they also seem to be uncannily successful at destroying the loyalty of viewers.
Figures from ratings agency Nielsen show that America's most famous rolling news brand has just experienced its worst month for almost 20 years, parting company with more than 50 per cent of its audience in 12 months. The development follows years of unrelenting decline for the network, which pioneered 24-hour news in the 1980s, and was for years the top-rated news channel. It has in recent years suffered intense competition from Fox News and MSNBC, which both now outperform it in almost every time slot.
(snipet)
May saw CNN's average audience fall to 388,000, of which a mere 113,000 are adults in the 25-54 age bracket that advertisers covet. The figures represent an exponential increase in the rate of decline for the channel, which is also undermined by the internet's rise in popularity as a breaking news source.
For complete write up you can click and go here.....
Wild Thing's comment......
If CNN would return to giving the news like it did when it began and cut way back on their being a propaganda machine for Obama and the left, their ratings would improve. But so far they are not willing to do that. FOX better learn from CNN's mistakes too, because they have been hiring some far left commenters and it is not a good thing to see happening.
Over at FOX News.........Megyn Kelly is good, The Five at 5:00 is also a good show and mostly Republicans. There are some other good timei slots on FOX, but I just hope like I said that they keep learning from the mistakes of CNN and especially for the wost of all MSNBC.

Bill Clinton: Mitt Romney's business record 'sterling'
Bill Clinton: Mitt Romney's business record 'sterling'
President Bill Clinton veered sharply off message Thursday, telling CNN that Mitt Romney’s business record at Bain Capital was “sterling.”
“I don’t think that we ought to get into the position where we say ‘This is bad work. This is good work,’” Clinton said. “The man who has been governor and had a sterling business career crosses the qualification threshold.”
Clinton also went on to say that Romney’s time at Bain Capital represented a “good business career.”
The Obama campaign is in the third week of an all-out assault on Romney’s time as a corporate buyout specialist — accusing the GOP nominee of bankrupting companies and laying off workers all while pocketing a profit for himself and investors.
But the negative tenor of their attacks on an influential segment of Wall Street have made some Democrats uncomfortable. Clinton is the highest profile Obama surrogate so far to show discomfort with the attacks on Bain, with the former president even praising the company and Romney’s record.
Newark mayor Cory Booker and Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick also both declined to press the attack against Bain.

Obama, Democrats and Ron Paul and 6 Other Rep. Vote to Support Gender-Based Abortions ~ USA Like Commie China now!
House Rejects Ban on Sex-Selection Abortions
The House voted today to reject a measure that would have banned sex-selection abortions in the United States, pitting Republicans and Democrats in a showdown over a woman's right to choose, which opponents contended was "intended to chip away at woman's right to obtain safe, legal medical care."
The measure, known as the Prenatal Nondiscrimination Act (PRENDA), was defeated 246-178. Under suspension of the House rules to permit consideration of the bill more quickly, approval of the measure was subject to a two-thirds majority, and with 414 members voting Republicans fell 30 votes short of passage.
The bill was perceived by Democrats as political maneuver to coax liberal lawmakers into supporting the bill or face the prospect of an onslaught of campaign advertisements this fall highlighting a lawmaker's vote to support sex-selection abortions.
Still, only 20 Democrats took the bait and broke from their party to vote with the majority of Republicans. Seven GOPers opposed the measure.
House rejected H.R. 3541 The Prenatal Non-Discrimination Act (PRENDA), sponsored by AZ Republican Trent Franks, which would have made it a federal crime for a doctor to perform an abortion based on the gender or race of the fetus. The bill required a two-thirds majority vote and was defeated in a final vote of 246-168. There were 20 Democrats who voted in favor of the bill and 7 Republicans who opposed it. Thirty more votes were needed to pass the bill.
Republicans ( assholes) that voted against the bill were Ron Paul (Texas), Justin Amash (Mich.), Charlie Bass (N.H.), Mary Bono Mack (Calif.), Robert Dold (Ill.), Richard Hanna (N.Y.) and Nan Hayworth (N.Y.)
Democrats voting in favor were Jason Altmire (Pa.), John Barrow (Ga.), Dan Boren (Okla.), Jim Cooper (Tenn.), Jerry Costello (Ill.), Mark Critz (Pa.), Henry Cuellar (Texas), Joe Donnelly (Ind.), John Garamendi (Calif.), Tim Holden (Pa.), Larry Kissell (N.C.), Daniel Lipinski (Ill.), Stephen Lynch (Mass.), Jim Matheson (Utah), Mike McIntyre (N.C.), Collin Peterson (Minn.), Nick Rahall (W.Va.), Silvestre Reyes (Texas), Mike Ross (Ark.) and Heath Shuler (N.C.).

First Lady Nancy Reagan endorsed Mitt Romney
Nancy Reagan endorsed Mitt Romney Thursday, after a private meeting over lemonade and cookies in Los Angeles.
The former first lady’s office put out a statement congratulating Mr. Romney on notching the 1,144 delegates necessary to become the GOP nominee. She said that her late husband, Ronald Reagan, would have approved of a Romney presidency.
Mitt Romney, with his wife Ann, met this afternoon in Los Angeles with former first lady Nancy Reagan to receive her endorsement. "Mitt and Ann Romney joined me at my home this afternoon for some lemonade and cookies and I offered my firm endorsement of his campaign for President,"
“Ronnie would have liked Gov.
