Obama Wants Higher Taxes on Oil Companies ~ Krauthammer Reponds
Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer called President Barack Obama‘s plea to end oil tax breaks “staggering cynicism,” explaining how Obama’s rhetoric contradicted his past actions on Fox News Channel’s “Special Report” Thursday.
Earlier in the day, Obama spoke from the Rose Garden outside the White House, calling on Congress to end tax credits to the five major oil companies. Soon after the president’s remarks, the Senate voted to end debate on a Democratic bill that would have redirected $21 billion in “big oil” tax breaks to “green energy” companies and deficit reduction. Some Democrats joined Republicans to kill the bill by a 51-47 vote, short of the 60-vote requirement to bring it up for a vote.
“I think any objective observer would look at what the president said today in the Rose Garden on this and conclude as I did: it is truly staggering cynicism,” Krauthammer said on Thursday’s broadcast. “Number one, when he was in the Senate, Obama supported the subsidies he’s denouncing today. And when our own Ed Henry asked Jay Carney about that, Carney had no answer. He was looking for a hole to hide in.”
“Second, the Congressional Research Office in March of 2011 showed that if you remove the subsidies, if it has any effect whatsoever on the gas prices, it will be to increase them, and the president is pretending he is trying to lower the gas prices,” he continued.
Ending the tax breaks would do little to solve the deficit spending problems plaguing the federal government, Krauthammer claimed. The Senate bill that Obama supported would have put about $10 billion in “big oil” tax cuts toward deficit reduction.
“Lastly, it is a trivial effect,” Krauthammer explained. “If you collected this subsidy, this tax from the oil companies for the next 100 years, it wouldn’t cover four months of deficit spending under this administration. And here he is in the Rose Garden standing up and saying again and again as he has before, ‘I am for all of the above — all kinds of sources of energy.’”
“This is three days after the EPA issued a regulation — which was overlooked in all the Supreme Court stuff about Obamacare — issued a regulation which means the end of any new coal-fired plant in America, ever. It’s the end of the coal industry in time as the old plants age — millions out of work, the coal industry shutdown and in time, raising electricity rates and really destroying a great natural resource America has,” he said.
“But of course, if you are Obama, who needs coal when you know what we have: algae.”
Earlier when Obama spoke about the stupid algae:
“You’ve got a bunch of algae out here, right? If we can figure out how to make energy out of that, we’ll be doing all right,” Obama said at the University of Miami.
“Believe it or not, we could replace up to 17 percent of the oil we import for transportation with this fuel that we can grow right here in the United States,” he said.
Wild Thing's comment.........
Good for Chales, he is right. Obama is way off on this and wrong in so many ways.

Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan Appear Together on “Hannity” – Video
Mitt Romney and Wisconsin GOP Rep. Paul Ryan appearing together on “Hannity” tonight, where they talked about the absolute necessity of defeating Barack Obama in November. They talked about reforming entitlement programs in order to save them for future generations.
Romney brought out that it is Barack Obama who has already “ended Medicare as we know it” by robbing it of $500 Billion to pay for ObamaCare.
Ryan was outstanding as usual, showing a mastery of the details of the budget and America’s economic challenges.
Wild Thing's comment.........
They were both good and earlier in the day Ryan endorsed Romney.

Obama Grabs More Executive Power To Push His Agenda Through Ignores Congress
Despite campaign promises to refrain from using executive powers to bypass Congress, President Barack Obama is increasingly doing just that, the Wall Street Journal reported on Friday. From helping rebels in the Libyan revolution to granting states waivers from the No Child Left Behind education act, Obama is finding it easier to push his agenda without asking for approval from elected senators and representatives, the paper said.
And that is not sitting well with either Republicans or Democrats who are keen to defend their own turf against what they see as an overreaching executive. “When he ran for president, Barack Obama promised to roll back President George W. Bush's use of executive power, a defining point of the Bush presidency,” Laura Meckler wrote in the Journal piece. “The pledge was part of a broader pitch about Mr. Obama's governing style, which he said would focus on solving problems in a pragmatic, cooperative way.

Department Of Homeland Security Is Buying 450 Million New Bullets
Department Of Homeland Security Is Buying 450 Million New Bullets
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office is getting an "indefinite delivery" of an "indefinite quantity" of .40 caliber ammunition from defense contractor ATK.
U.S. agents will receive a maximum of 450 million rounds over five years, according to a press release on the deal.
The high performance HST bullets are designed for law enforcement and ATK says they offer "optimum penetration for terminal performance."
This refers to the the bullet's hollow-point tip that passes through barriers and expands for a bigger impact without the rest of the bullet getting warped out of shape: "this bullet holds its jacket in the toughest conditions."
We've also learned that the Department has an open bid for a stockpile of rifle ammo. Listed on the federal business opportunities network, they're looking for up to 175 million rounds of .223 caliber ammo to be exact. The .223 is almost exactly the same round used by NATO forces, the 5.56 x 45mm.
The deadline for earlier this month was extended because the right contractor just hadn't come along.
Looks like the Department of Homeland Security means business.
Wild Thing's comment......
I thought this was inteiresting. So are they going to do a Fast and Furious this these bullets, I don't trust these people with Obama.

Bolton Accuses Obama Administration of Leaking Story on Israeli Plans Along Iran Border
Bolton accuses administration of leaking story on Israeli planning along Iran border
Former U.S. diplomat John Bolton alleged Thursday that the Obama administration leaked a story about covert Israeli activity in order to foil potential plans by the country to attack Iran's nuclear program.
Bolton was responding to an article in Foreign Policy magazine that quoted government sources claiming Israel had been granted access to airfields in Azerbaijan -- along Iran's northern border.
The article did not state exactly what the Israelis' intentions were, but it suggested it could point to a possible strike on Iran.
"I think this leak today is part of the administration's campaign against an Israeli attack," Bolton claimed on Fox News.
The White House did not respond to Bolton's claims Thursday.
Bolton, a Fox News contributor, noted that a strike launched from Azerbaijan would be much easier for the Israelis than a strike launched from their own country -- jets could stay over their targets longer and worry less about refueling. But he said tipping the Israelis' hand by revealing "very sensitive, very important information" could frustrate such a plan.
Speaking afterward to FoxNews.com, Bolton said he didn't have hard proof that this was an intentional administration leak to halt an Israeli attack.
But he noted widely reported comments from Defense Secretary Leon Panetta in February that he thinks the Israelis could strike as early as April. If that's the case, Bolton said, then it would be "entirely consistent" for the administration to try to avoid that impending outcome.
The Foreign Policy article quoted what were identified as "high-level sources ... inside the U.S. government." It specifically mentioned "four senior diplomats and military intelligence officers."
One intelligence officer, who was unnamed, told the magazine that the U.S. was "watching" the activity and was "not happy about it."
The Foreign Policy article did not specify whether any of the information came from the White House, and there is no direct evidence that this was a coordinated leak.
"Clearly, this is an administration-orchestrated leak," Bolton told FoxNews.com. "This is not a rogue CIA guy saying I think I'll leak this out."
"It's just unprecedented to reveal this kind of information about one of your own allies," Bolton said.
Wild Thing's comment.....
I bellieve Bolton and another time we know Obama and his admin. leaked information was about the Navy Seals that captured Osama bin laden.

President George H.W. Bush endorsed Mitt Romney for president.
Romney said, “Thank you. Coming from the president and first lady, I’m honored to have your endorsement and support.”
He continued, “Having your support means a great deal to me on a personal basis, a family basis, and also on a national basis.” He went on to stress the importance of the election, saying, “It’s an election about the course of America. I think we’re on a very dangerous path and I think it’s important for us to select a nominee.”

Scalia Likens Reading Obamacare to Cruel and Unusual Punishment ~ I LOVE this Judge and I agree!!!
Scalia Likens Reading Obamacare to Cruel and Unusual Punishment
Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia humorously invoked the Eighth Amendment to the Constitution, which forbids cruel and unusual punishments, when discussing the Obamacare legislation during oral argument today at the Supreme Court.
JUSTICE SCALIA: Mr. Kneedler, what happened to the Eighth Amendment? You really want us to go through these 2,700 pages?
(Laughter.)
JUSTICE SCALIA: And do you really expect the Court to do that? Or do you expect us to — to give this function to our law clerks?
Is this not totally unrealistic? That we are going to go through this enormous bill item by item and decide each one?
MR. KNEEDLER: Well -
Wild Thing's comment.........
LOL I LOVE how Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia put it.
I think it was last year, on 60 Minutes the tv show, they did a segment on Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia and it was really interesting. He is a really good man and he talked about how he was past his retirement time, but did not want to retire because he loved what he does too much. I think I posted about it last year.

Sen. Marco Rubio Endorses Mitt Romney ~ This is a HUGE Endorsement for Mitt Romney
Sen. Marco Rubio last night on “Hannity” publicly endorsed Gov. Mitt Romney for President.
Rubio argued that both Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum have now admitted that the only way they can win the GOP Nomination is by denying Romney a majority at the end of the primary season and “having a floor fight in Tampa.” Rubio said there is no way that a “floor fight in Tampa in August” is a “recipe for victory.” Instead, Rubio called that a “recipe for disaster,” and a “recipe to deliver four more years to Barack Obama.”
“I am going to endorse Mitt Romney. The reason why is not only because he’s going to be the Republican Nominee, but he also offers at this point such a stark contrast to the President’s record. . .”
Wild Thing's comment.........
Congratulations oto Mitt Romney, I am so glad Marco did this. I would have been very disppoionted if he had endorsed the others that are left in the race.

Hanoi Jane to Play Nancy Reagan in Film
In the midst of recruiting an all-star ensemble for his long-gestating passion project “The Butler,” director Lee Daniels has tapped Jane Fonda to play Nancy Reagan.
Based on a Washington Post report by Wil Haygood, pic follows Eugene Allen, the White House butler whose career started with Harry Truman in 1952 and ended in 1986 with Ronald Reagan.
Forest Whitaker is closing a deal to play Allen, while Oprah Winfrey remains in talks to play his wife. David Oyelowo is in negotiations to play Allen’s son, while Liam Neeson and John Cusack are circling presidential supporting roles as Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard Nixon, respectively. Fonda will appear in a handful of scenes as the first lady of the United States.
Daniels, who is directing from a script he co-wrote with Danny Strong, is in the process of finalizing financing for the pic, which has no distributor onboard yet. Pamela Williams will produce through Laura Ziskin Prods. along with Hilary Shor.
Though no cast deals are in place yet, producers are eyeing a summer start date.

NY Senate Democrats Wear Hoodies In Support of Trayvon Martin
State Senate Democrats put on hooded sweatshirts Monday, March 26, 2012, to protest the death of Trayvon Martin, the young man allegedly gunned down by neighborhood crime watch captain in Florida.
Citing “demonizing stereotypes,” a group of mostly African-American and Hispanic state lawmakers wore hooded sweatshirts into the legislative chambers on Monday in solidarity with the family of Trayvon Marton, the Florida teenager gunned down a month ago by a neighborhood watch officer who had told police the youth was acting suspicious.
The group included Assembly members Karim Camara and Marcos Crespo as well as state Sens. Eric Adams, Bill Perkins, Kevin Parker, Shirley Huntley, Mike Gianaris and Daniel Squadron.
Several of those who spoke to reporters said the killing reflected a law enforcement culture in New York and elsewhere that stigmatized young male minority members. “These incidents don’t always lead to death, but they happen every day in urban communities throughout our state,” said Camara.
Perkins referred to the cases of the youths convicted and then exonerated in the 1989 rape of a jogger in Central Park, plus the deaths of Amadou Diallo and other fatalities or injuries resulting from police action.
Wild Thing's comment.........
Good grief!
What is it with people that have such a strong need to do things like this. I just don't get it. They are not being supportive, not really. If they feel sorry for this family then take up a donation to help them or something. Wearing a hoodie and everyone going the thug route helps no one except make a statement that they all want to be like a gang or something.

Obama Starts Selling Hoodies on Website ~ Good Example Of How Obama USES People
.
Bernie Goldberg analyzes the racial aspect of the killing of Florida teen Trayvon Martin. He really nails this thing here. This clip from Goldberg is a must-see.
BG: "If Trayvon Martin was shot and killed by another black teenager, President Obama wouldn’t have weighed in, Al Sharpton wouldn’t be holding rallies. The media would not be running this on television for hours and hours on end. Except for his family and friends, we wouldn't even know the name of Trayvon Martin. The reason this is a story and I'm glad that it is, is because Trayvon Martin is black and the person who shot him is white"

President Medvedev: I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.

Romney called Russia our greatest “geopolitical foe,” because they “stand up for the world’s worst actors” again and again, from Syria to Iran to Venezuela etc. Romney questioned what Obama will do if he is re-elected, knowing he is no longer restrained by the need to be accountable to the voters.

Gingrich Begins Charging $50 for Photos at Events ~ Oh my Gosh!
Gingrich Begins Charging $50 for Photos at Events
HOCKESSIN, Del. – In a sign that his campaign is in need of fresh funds, Newt Gingrich on Monday began charging $50 to have a photograph taken with him following a campaign speech to Republican groups here in the northernmost part of the state.
It was the first time that the former House speaker has charged those attending one of his public speaking events to pose for a photograph with him. Lately, a member of his campaign staff has been snapping photos of any interested attendee and later posting them online at the campaign’s website, newt.org.
On Monday night, those paying for a photograph were also told they could find their photos on Gingrich’s website, after they had filled out a form providing their credit card information.
The campaign limped out of the month of February posting more debt than cash on hand. And poor showings in the recent primaries of Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama – all southern states Gingrich had once expressed optimism he could win – are likely to not help any fundraising pushes.
Gingrich held only one public event on Monday – in Hockessin, located in a state that votes on Apr. 24. He was scheduled to travel to North Carolina on Wednesday, but that trip was cancelled today in favor of campaigning in the Washington D.C. area. The speaker will spend his next two days there and in Maryland before heading to Wisconsin at the end of the week.

NOT Presidential Santorum Curses on Rope Line in Wisconsin
Rick Santorum got testy with reporters following a campaign speech Franksville, Wis. in which he said GOP rival Mitt Romney would be "the worst Republican in the country to put up against Barack Obama."
Surrounded by reporters seeking clarification on that comment after the speech, Santorum said he was only talking about the issue of health care.
"That’s what I was talking about, and I was very clear about talking about that. OK? C’mon guys, don’t do this. I mean you guys are incredible," Santorum said.
"I was talking about Obamacare, and he is the worst because he was the author of Romneycare,” he added.
But questions on the "worst Republican" statement kept coming as the senator worked the rope line, and Santorum eventually let loose with an expletive.
"Quit distorting our words, it's bulls---," Santorum told New York Times reporter Jeff Zeleny. "Come on man, what are you doing?"
.
Wild Thing's comment......
Sorry everyone but there is nothing about Santorum that is Presidential. I am not a prude, heck I am married to a Navy Veteran. heh heh But Nick is not running for President and Santorum is and can you imagine Ronald Reagan responding like Santorum has done....no way. Top White House Adviser: Republicans Will Regret Using Term “Obamacare" - Oh Really? The Try This OBAMADEATHCARE!
Plouffe: GOP will regret ‘ObamaCare’ tag, says law will be upheld
Senior White House advisor David Plouffe predicted Sunday that Republicans will come to realize they made a big mistake by constantly calling the president’s sweeping healthcare reform law “ObamaCare.”
“I am convinced that at the end of this decade, Republicans are going to regret turning this into ‘ObamaCare,’” he said on Fox News Sunday.
The remarks come two days after Obama’s reelection campaign similarly embraced the term that conservatives have used to bash the healthcare statute that Democrats passed in 2010.
“Most of the law doesn’t take effect until 2014, but important parts are getting implemented right now. 2.5 million people between the ages of 21 and 26 have healthcare only because of this healthcare law,” Plouffe said, also citing prescription drug assistance for millions of seniors, and fairer financial treatment for women seeking preventive care like mammograms.
Plouffe’s comments come ahead of oral arguments over the constitutionality of the law before the Supreme Court that begin Monday.
“We are confident that it will be constitutional,” he said.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney had a heart transplant Saturday
Former GOP Vice President Dick Cheney is recovering from heart transplant surgery at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Northern Virginia, a spokeswoman said Saturday evening.
In 2010, Cheney had a left ventricular assist device implanted for treatment of end-stage heart failure. The former vice president has been on the cardiac transplant list for more than 20 months.
Though he and his family do not know the identity of the donor, they will be forever grateful for this lifesaving gift, the spokeswoman also said.
Cheney, who is in intensive care, expressed his thanks to the teams of doctors and other medical professionals at Inova Fairfax and at George Washington University Hospital, where he also has been treated, for their "continued outstanding care.
Cheney, 71, served under George W. Bush from 2001 to 2009. He has a long history of cardio-vascular disease, having had five heart attacks since age 37.
Cheney was born in Lincoln, Neb., and served in the Nixon, then the Ford administration, for which he was chief of staff. He was elected to the House in 1978 as a Wyoming congressman and won reelected five times.
Cheney was secretary of Defense under much of George H.W. Bush’s administration, overseeing Operation Desert Storm. He was also chief executive officer for the Halliburton Co. from 1995 to 2000.
Cheney has remained a strong voice in the Republican party and has been an outspoken critic of President Obama.
He has undergone several bypass surgeries and other procedures, including the one two years ago. Cheney also had a mild heart attack in June 2010.
More than 3,100 Americans currently are on the national waiting list for a heart transplant. Just over 2,300 heart transplants were performed last year, according to the United Network for Organ Sharing. And 330 people died while waiting.
The group also reports 332 people over age 65 received a heart transplant last year.
The majority of transplants occur in 50- to 64-year-olds.
More than 70 percent of heart transplant recipients live at least five years, although survival is a bit lower for people over age 65.

Prayers for Dick Cheney and a speedy recovery and for his family.

U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Robert Bales Could Get Death Penalty
U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Robert Bales Could Get Death Penalty
Charges filed Friday against Army Staff Sgt. Robert Bales reflect the horror of the crime: 17 counts of premeditated murder, more than half of them children, during a shooting rampage in southern Afghanistan. But while Afghans are calling for swift and severe punishment, it probably will be months, even years, before the public ever gets to see Bales in a courtroom.
One only has to look at two recent and similarly high-profile cases to see that the wheels of military justice turn slowly.
It has been nearly 29 months since an Army psychiatrist, Maj. Nidal Hasan, allegedly killed 13 and injured two dozen more at Fort Hood, Texas. His trial is scheduled to begin in June.
.
Wild Thing's comment.........
I think there is so much more to this story. Major Hassan is STILL awaiting trial, but this guy will be tried and convicted in a New York minute.
Obama has hurt the morale of our troops,he has hurt the strength of our troops, and then there are his impossible rules of engagement.
This is a soldier who suffered traumatic brain injury. Why wasn’t he back home being treated? Why was he sent back into combat? He saw his buddy’s leg blown off the day before. We owe it to our soldiers to give them the very best treatment when they are injured in the line of duty.

Sen. Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania: Republicans Can Trust Romney to Govern as a Conservative
Toomey: Republicans Can Trust Romney to Govern as a Conservative
HARRISBURG, Pa.--Sen. Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, who has said he won't endorse anyone in the Republican presidential race, on Friday praised front-runner Mitt Romney as a true conservative whom Republicans can trust as their nominee.
“I think Mitt Romney is a conservative, and I think if elected, he’ll govern as a conservative,” Toomey told reporters during a press conference at the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference, an annual gathering of conservative activists in the Keystone State.
“I think Governor Romney is absolutely committed to the principles of limited government,” Toomey said. “I think he knows the free-enterprise system is a source of prosperity and opportunity and personal fulfillment, and elevating people out of poverty. He’s been a practitioner, so he understands from a very concrete sense how markets work and create opportunities.”
Toomey's remarks came during a week in which prominent Republicans have been urging their party to unite behind a presidential candidate. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush endorsed Romney on Wednesday. On Thursday, Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina--like Toomey--praised Romney without endorsing him.
The praise from DeMint and Toomey is significant because of their standing with parts of the GOP base. DeMint is a leading tea party figure, and Toomey is a former president of the antitax Club For Growth.
As he has previously, Toomey declined to explicitly declare his preference for Romney. But he made it clear that he thinks highly of the former Massachusetts governor and would be satisfied with him as the nominee.
Wild Thing's comment...........
I think more and more people will see how bad Santorum truly is and not what we need to be President. Also the same with Newt. Romney has little by little been getting more conservative, Not anywhere close to what Gov. Perry is or my Gov. Scott here in Florida. But at least he is moving to the right like Ronald Reagan did so there is hope at least.

Drilling Permits Down 36% Under Obama Administration
When the president says he is opening up millions of acres for drilling exploration in the United States, Cavuto says you might want to thank the previous presidents instead, including Bill Clinton and George W. Bush.
According to the Bureau of Land Management, the current administration has actually decreased approval of drilling permits by 36 percent. Even under Bill Clinton, his administration increased the approval of drilling permits by 58 percent, and George W. Bush increased approval by 116 percent.
Neil Cavuto on FOX showed a graphic of current drilling sites in the United States vs. the amount of land that we ‘could’ drill on.

Sen. Jim DeMint calls for GOP assessment of race, praises Romney!!!!
"I can tell conservatives from my perspective is that, I'm not only comfortable with Romney, I'm excited about the possibility of him possibly being our nominee," DeMint said. "Again, this is not a formal endorsement and I do not intend to do that right now but I just think we just need to look at where we are."
DeMint said Thursday he was "impressed" after his meeting with Romney.
"His leadership skills, the fact that he hasn't lived his life in Washington. There's a lot to like there," DeMint said.
The other candidates in the race – including former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum – need to make an honest assessment of where the race currently stands, DeMint said.

In Texas yesterday, Santorum suggested he’d reelect President Obama over Romney. "If you’re going to be a little different, we might as well stay with what we have instead of taking a risk with what may be the Etch-a-sketch candidate of the future,” he said.

That was great from Sen. DeMint, he did not endorse Romney but he did pay him high compliments as to how he feels about him.
Regarding Santorum he has lost his senses. His jealousy or whatever it is toward Romney has become an obsession it seems. Either that or he hates him more then he hates or dislikes Obama. I can't imagine anyone saying they would vote for Obama when we have a chance to get him out of office.
Plus Santorum is supposed to be a candidate in the Republican party, my gosh!!!

GOP Rep. Peter King Holds Congressional Hearing On Iranian-Backed Terror Groups In America, “Hundreds – At a Minimum – of Hezbollah Operatives Here”
GOP Rep. Peter King Holds Congressional Hearing On Iranian-Backed Terror Groups In America, “Hundreds – At a Minimum – of Hezbollah Operatives Here”
Iranian-backed militant group Hezbollah may have hundreds of operatives based in the United States, and Hezbollah – not al-Qaida – poses the greatest terrorist threat to Americans, the Republican chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, Peter King, said today.
Since September 11 2001, America’s counter-terror officials have focused on al-Qaida and home-grown radicalised American extremists, said the New York representative at a hearing of his committee. But, now, the terrorist threat to the United States is shifting.
‘As Iran moves closer to nuclear weapons and there is increasing concern over war between Iran and Israel, we must also focus on Iran’s secret operatives and their number one terrorist proxy force, Hezbollah, which we know is in America. That’s right, we know Hezbollah operatives are here.
‘The question is whether these Hezbollah operatives have the capacity to carry out attacks on the homeland and how quickly they can become fully operational,’ King said.
Opening the hearing, King said, ‘we have a duty to prepare for the worst’, and referred to the 20 Hezbollah-related prosecutions that have taken place in the United States since 9/11.
He also referred to a murder plot allegedly directed by the Iranian government to kill the Saudi ambassador to the U.S. last year as a further warning sign of the potential threat that the country poses to Americans.
King warned that there were hundreds – at a minimum – of Hezbollah operatives in the United States, including 84 Iranian diplomats at the United Nations and in Washington who, ‘it must be presumed, are intelligence officers.’

Oil Workers Protest Obama Visit
Oil Workers Protest Obama Visit
CUSHING, Okla. -- The President is scheduled to speak in Payne County this Thursday morning. It may be rural Oklahoma, but when it comes to pipelines, it's the Capitol. The President is expected to talk about energy, though many in that industry are not impressed.
They are even planning to protest his visit, calling it a political ploy more than a genuine interest.
Mike Cantrell with the Domestic Energy Producers Alliance says, "For the last three years he's been anti-fossil fuels."
Mickey Thompson, an energy industry expert and political analyst, says, "He calls our industry an industry of the past and they'd like us to go away."
Wild Thing's comment......
The enemy going to visit the oil workers....oh that will be a great day. sheesh. If I was there I would want to look Obama in the eye and walk away.

One Nation Under Socialism - Jon McNaughton
This November, you will make a choice. Will you choose One Nation Under Socialism?
McNaughton's Answers to Questions Regarding This Painting:
Why the title "One Nation Under Socialism?"
Our federal government has been moving in the direction of socialism for over one hundred years. Many presidents and politicians have compromised the Constitution as we have given away our freedoms under the guise of entitlements and government intervention. When the people are willing to sacrifice the next generation for their current lifestyles and allow the federal government to have all the power for an illusory mess of pottage—you have chosen One Nation Under Socialism.
What do you mean by an ideology, which can never stand?
I will not support an ideology, which will lead to the destruction of America. In the history of the world, never has there been a recorded example where Socialism has led to the betterment of the human condition or improved the liberty of the people. I know there are varying degrees and definitions of "socialism." Even the European model of Democratic Socialism has proven to be a dismal failure. Do you want to see our country become like Greece, Italy, Portugal, or even Great Britain?
What do you mean by "divisive, with no liberty or justice for anyone?"
Socialism uses the illusion of offering fairness and justice for everyone by redistributing the wealth of the nation; picking and choosing winners and losers. This administration has taken over our health care system, given bailouts to the automotive industry, banking industry and energy industry. They support the "Occupy Wall Street" movement of increased taxing of the rich to pay for the welfare of the "less rich." The Constitution never guaranteed equal things—only equal rights and justice. In America we should be FREE TO SUCCEED and FREE TO FAIL!
At this very moment our Constitution is literally going up in flames. What will you do to preserve the Constitution and save America?
Wild Thing's comment.........
Jon McNaughton is an amazing artist. I have posted other works of his in the past.

Dictator Obama Signs Another Executive Order, This One Is So HE Can RULE Over ALL Our Country’s Natural Resources and Peacetime Martial Law!
Friday afternoons, when no one is paying attention, seem to be Obama’s favorite time to release his Executive Orders. Last Friday, came another one; an update to an Executive Order created in 1994, the “National Defense Industrial Resources Preparedness”. The order gives the president the power to take control of all domestic energy supplies for the purpose of protecting national security, as well as, delegating greater power to each cabinet member to achieve this.
Obama's Executive Order Authorizes Peacetime Martial Law
Barack Obama issued an Executive Order on March 16 giving the White House absolute control over all the country’s natural resources in case of a natural disaster or during a time of war.
In the order, the National Defense Resources Preparedness Order, the President granted to himself the authority to approve the dispensing of all domestic energy, production, transportation, food, and water supplies as he deems necessary to protect national security.
Despite the national defense hurdle that ostensibly must be jumped in order for the order to take effect, the text of the document itself does not limit implementation to a time of war. In fact, the specific sections of the order make it clear that the President can take complete command and control of the country’s natural resources in peacetime, as well.

This jerk is such a dictator.

Santorum Compared Welfare Programs To the Tuskegee Medical Experiments ~ OMG Santorum is DISGUSTING!
Rick Santorum Was Warned That 2005 Book Could Become Fodder For Political Attacks
ABC News' Michael Falcone reports:
Rick Santorum was warned more than a year before his decisive 2006 Senate re-election defeat that the controversial book he was writing would provide his opponents with damaging ammunition to use against him.
A review of the manuscript of Santorum's book, "It Takes A Family: Conservatism and the Common Good," conducted by political operatives several months before it was published found what the reviewers called "a fair amount of political opportunities," for Santorum's rivals.
The operatives identified nearly 30 "problematic excerpts" and suggested that some of them "might want to be edited or removed from the book."
One of those passages identified in the three-page memo written in 2005, a copy of which was obtained by ABC News, compared welfare programs to the Tuskegee medical experiments that began in the 1930s.
"The Tuskegee experiments denying black men treatment for syphilis were wrong and horrific, an example of the government using its power for evil," Santorum wrote. "But in terms of the sheer numbers of people, of all races, whose lives were destroyed, pre-1996 welfare was worse."
According to the memo, those lines appeared in a pre-publication manuscript of "It Takes A Family," but were removed from the final version, which first hit store shelves on July 4, 2005.
In the book, Santorum called the enactment of welfare programs before the 1996 reforms, "the greatest social policy debacle in American history."
John Brabender, who advised Santorum on his 2006 Senate race and is a strategist for his presidential campaign, did not deny the existence of the vetting document, but emphasized that "the only thing that is based on fact is the actual book, itself."
"Everybody who was only focused on winning the political campaign were giving us much advice on moving to the middle and moderating our message, but that's not something Rick Santorum would do," Brabender said in an interview with ABC News. "On the other hand, I'm sure Mitt Romney probably would have taken advice to move to the middle if he thought there was political gain because Romney seems to focus on the next election rather than what's right for America."
Santorum went on to lose his Senate race to then Pennsylvania State Treasurer Bob Casey that year by a more than 17-point margin. And the Democrats did use some of the more controversial ideas in the book to attack Santorum. On the campaign trail Casey criticized what he called his opponent's "harsh and intolerant" writings.
Since he launched his 2012 presidential bid, Santorum's 449-page book, which includes chapters on "The Meaning of Family," "Faith-Based Transformations," and "Culture: Ally or Adversary?" has been getting a second-look from newfound opponents in his own party and from the press.
Santorum's comments in the book about women in the workplace have drawn particular scrutiny.
"Sadly the propaganda campaign launched in the 1960s has taken root," Santorum wrote on page 95. "The radical feminists succeeded in undermining the traditional family and convincing women that professional accomplishments are the key to happiness."
In a February interview on ABC's "This Week" Santorum said that his wife, Karen, had actually co-written the chapter. "What I was calling for -very clearly calling for - is a treatment of, an affirmation of whatever decision women decide to make," Santorum said in the interview.
Whether or not his wife wrote it, the passage was one of the excerpts the operatives who scoured the book for potential areas of controversy, pinpointed.
"Sen. Santorum's opponents will probably focus on what they see as its divisive undertones," the reviewers wrote in the memo, which sources familiar with its writing said was given to Santorum and his aides before the book was published. "Sen. Santorum takes on long standing elements of the Democrat base and his opponents could use this book to rally their base."
The reviewers also highlighted an excerpt in which the former Pennsylvania senator compares pro-choice Americans to Nazi Germany - a passage that made the cut.
"One of the first phases of the (Nazi) German negative eugenics movement was active euthanasia of newborns and young children with congenital malformations and mental retardation," he wrote. "Prenatal diagnosis and selective abortion of fetuses with malformations or genetic disease can be considered an earlier phase of the same philosophy - namely, the elimination of lives not worth living."
In another case, it appears that Santorum tweaked a line in which he addresses economic differences between black and white Americans.
According to the memo, the original manuscript read: "Yes, there remains a very troubling economic disparity. But for the most part, this is not due to the continuing reality of discrimination."
However, the published book reads: "Still, there remains a very troubling economic disparity between whites and blacks. And this is really the result of a missing economic fundamental: business building and wealth creation."
But much of the book's content, including many of the passages indentified by those tasked with vetting it seven years ago, have become standard Santorum talking points - like this one:
"The truth is that liberal social policy has helped to dismantle the traditional family and failed the poor individuals they aimed to liberate," he wrote in the book's second chapter titled "The Liberal Vision: No-Fault Freedom."
It appears that in the vast majority of cases, Santorum did not take the reviewers' advice to tone-down the rhetoric, nor did he heed another warning.
"It is critical that this book not include an index," the operatives noted. "An index is an easy tool for lazier political operatives and reporters to use to dig up more controversial topics in this book."
The 2005 hard-cover printing of "It Takes A Family," includes a 13-page index.
.
Wild Thing's comment......
For Santorum to compare the Tuskegee medical experiments with welfare in anyway is disgusting. So what if they took it out of the book, the fact that he wrote it and feels that way is what matters.

Mitt Romney Wins Puerto Rico!!!! Congratulations!
Romney sweeps Puerto Rico primary contest
In order to vote in the GOP presidential primary in Puerto Rico, voters must sign a "Republican Party of Puerto Rico Affiliation Form" pledging commitment to the ideological principles of the Party.
Romney’s campaign was endorsed by just about every prominent Republican on the Spanish-speaking island, and Santorum angered many Puerto Ricans with comments last week that they needed to make English their primary language if they wanted to pursue statehood.
“You can’t impose English on people. My sense is that he (Santorum) was very poorly advised or he would not have said what he said,” Ana Lydia Porrata-Doria, 69, who voted for Romney, told Reuters.
Puerto Ricans, who recognize both English and Spanish as their official languages, will vote in November in a statehood referendum.
With Puerto Rico's unemployment rate running at 15.1 percent, many voters said they supported Romney because they believed he was best positioned among the Republican candidates to deliver on pledges about job creation on the island.
Puerto Rico, about 1,200 miles from the U.S. mainland, has about 3.8 million people. Its population can vote in partisan primaries but not in presidential elections. Puerto Ricans within the United States have the same voting rights as other U.S. citizens.
Wild Thing's comment.........
I am glad they voted for Romney. Santorum was absolutely horrible to them and should have known better or perhaps he was just being himself and he is the jerk he comes off as most of the time anyway. James Carville Speaks About Obama Re-Election ( video )
This is not the first time he's said this, back in January, Carville on CNN said "The Feeling I'm Getting Coming Out of the White House Is They Might Be a Touch Too Confident Right Now"
"If I were them, I would run a little bit scareder than they're running..."There are a lot of things that could go wrong here"
Democratic political consultant James Carville said Friday that a poor economy, persistent unemployment, an ineffective communications team and the president’s own inability to connect with voters make Barack Obama beatable in the fall elections.
“We have a pretty weak incumbent,” said Carville, who helped a scrappy Bill Clinton to an unlikely 1992 election. Citing Obama’s low approval ratings and high unemployment, the advisor noted that the statistics are not on Obama’s side. “I’ve seen worse, but that’s on the low side,” he said of Obama’s ratings among voters, adding, “He’s not a shoo-in for reelection.”
But Carville adds that it won’t be the GOP that beats Obama. The reason: The GOP candidates are even worse. “I think the Republicans can’t beat him, but events can,” he said, suggesting that the fallout of the Supreme Court’s upcoming decision on Obama’s health reform act will be huge. “Romney can’t beat Obama heads-up.”
Wild Thing's comment.......
All I know is we have got to get Obama OUT no matter what.

Gov. Perry on Texas’ Blocked Voter I.D. Law: ‘It’s Unfortunate We Have to Spend All This Money Defending America’s Rights Against Obama Administration’
Rick Perry on Texas’ Blocked Voter I.D. Law: ‘It’s Unfortunate We Have to Spend All This Money Defending America’s Rights Against Obama Administration’
A major push-back is building up in Texas after the Justice Department (DOJ) blocked a new voter I.D. law. The law would require voters to show photo identification before entering the polls to cast their vote. The feds say it’s unfair to minorities, but supporters are saying that it would cut down on fraud.
Gov. Rick Perry, who supports the law, told Bill Hemmer, that there were multiple cases of voter fraud in various parts of Texas and stressed that America needs good, open, honest elections whether it be Republican or Democrat.
“In today’s world having a photo I.D., whether it’s to get on an airplane or whether it’s to cash a check or it’s to check a library book out, it’s pretty standard fair.”
He went on to say that Texas will be taking this issue to the Supreme Court and said it’s unfortunate that they have to spend a lot of money and time defending America’s right to make sovereign decisions against the Obama administration.
In addition, Perry addressed the issue of Texas’ decision to block Planned Parenthood that resulted in the loss of federal funds of Medicaid’s Women Health Program. He said, “We’re not going to let the program die, we’ll find the money somewhere. It’s just sad that you have an administration that is more interested in paying off and rewarding their political supporters,” he said.
“We’re going to make sure those 100,000 or so plus women have those services, but again, it’s an exposure of this administration’s clear politics that they’re playing.”
Wild Thing's comment.........
Another case of Obama over-reaching his authority!!

New Report: Obamacare May Cause 20 Million To Lose Coverage
Report: Obamacare May Cause 20 Million To Lose Coverage…
As many as 20 million Americans could lose their employer-provided coverage because of President Obama’s healthcare reform law, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said in a new report Thursday.
The figure represents the worst-case scenario, CBO says, and the law could just as well increase the number of people with employer-based coverage by 3 million in 2019.
The best estimate, subject to a “tremendous amount of uncertainty,” is that about 3 million to 5 million fewer people will obtain coverage through their employer each year from 2019 through 2022.
The new report adds more detail to this week’s update of the law’s coverage provisions, which CBO released Tuesday. Compared to a year ago, the law is now anticipated to cover 2 million fewer people but cost $50 billion less over 10 years, after factoring penalties paid by individuals and businesses that don’t get or provide healthcare coverage.
"President Obama's string of empty promises is quickly becoming a disappointing trail of broken promises," House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) said in a statement. "He promised Americans that his overhaul of the health care sector would not jeopardize the health coverage of those who liked what they had. As nonpartisan analysts made clear today, millions of Americans will soon learn the hard way that Washington's overreach into their health care decisions will result in sharp disruptions to their coverage and their care."

Veterans Speak Out About Vile Over DEMOCRATS Obama-Spangled Banner
American flag with President Obama's image sparks outrage at Florida Democrats
FoxNews.com
An American flag with President Obama's image in place of the stars flew over a Florida county's Democrat headquarters long enough to enrage local veterans who called the altered banner "a disgrace."
Lake County Democratic Party officials took down the flag, which flew just below a standard Old Glory on the flagpole outside headquarters in Tavares following complaints by local veterans. But merely taking it down wasn't enough for several local veterans, who said they fought for the flag Betsy Ross made famous, not one with a politician on it.
"It's absolutely disrespectful," Jim Bradford, a 71-year-old veteran who participated in the Bay of Pigs Invasion told FoxNews.com. "It's totally ridiculous. To put somebody's picture there, to me, it's a disgrace to do that."

Bradford, an organizer with the Veterans Memorial at Fountain Park in Leesburg, Fla., snapped photos of the flag and distributed them to fellow veterans and friends. By late afternoon, he and several other veterans delivered a copy of the federal flag code to Nancy Hulbert, chairwoman of the Lake County Democratic Party.

Allen West: If There's No Will to Win, Leave Afghanistan Now (Video)
Allen West: If There's No Will to Win, Leave Afghanistan Now (Video)
Newsmax to Allen West: Some say this is a no-win situation, and we should just get out. What do you say? West says we have to have a will to win otherwise we should just get out.
President Barack Obama must stop apologizing for every misstep in the Afghanistan war — it makes the United States look weak in the eyes of the enemy, Republican Rep. Allen West told Newsmax.TV in an exclusive interview.
And if there is no political will to deal with Taliban safe havens in Pakistan, the U.S. might as well remove all troops from the country, he added.
“If you are not going to contend with the sanctuaries that are across the border in Pakistan, then you should depart from Afghanistan because you are not going to have a secure situation until you deal with what the ISI in Pakistan is allowing to happen,” he said referring to that country’s intelligence service.
“We need to go back to the table and look at our operational goals and objectives in Afghanistan,” said the Florida congressman, who served in Kuwait and Iraq during his 22 years in the Army.
West was speaking three days after an unidentified army staff sergeant allegedly went on a rampage in Kandahar Province, killing 16 locals. That incident and last month’s inadvertent burning of Qurans by soldiers have heightened tensions in the country.
On Wednesday, the Afghan driver of a stolen pickup truck burst into flames near the runway of a British base in Afghanistan at about the time U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta’s plane arrived today. An investigation is still under way to determine if the incident may have been a failed attack on Panetta. West declined to comment on that matter until more facts are known.
West, who served as a civilian adviser in Afghanistan, said the Taliban has seized the two issues and is using them as “an opportunity to ramp up the rhetoric.”
“What happened with this staff sergeant in Afghanistan is a horrible event. It cannot be condoned,” said West, who left the army with the rank of lieutenant colonel. “You have to condemn it in each and every way, but this should not overshadow the 10-plus years that our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines have been there and the impeccable sacrifices and service that they have given to the Afghan people.
“We need to put this in perspective and not allow President Karzai and the Taliban to get any type of high ground,” he added.
When asked how the U.S. can best prevent Taliban threats to behead soldiers in retaliation, the congressman was succinct. “We kill them first,” he said.
West attacked Defense Secretary Leon Panetta for suggesting the soldier, who was flown out of Afghanistan on Wednesday, might face the death penalty at his court martial.
“I will tell Leon Panetta…stop overreacting and stop appeasing these radicals, offering up our own service men and women,” West said, pointing out that neither Sgt. Hasan Akbar, who was convicted of killing two officers when he threw a hand grenade into a tent in Kuwait in 2003, nor Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, who faces charges of killing 13 servicemen during a rampage at Fort Hood, Texas in 2009, have been executed.
“Let’s make sure we are playing this straight,” he said.
West said reports that the staff sergeant in the Kandahar case had suffered a traumatic brain injury during an earlier tour of duty in Iraq pointed to the need to take better care of our wounded military. He called such injuries “the hidden sickness” of war.
“What we must understand is that here is a gentleman who has served this country bravely for three, now going on four combat tours. We can’t just cast him aside and treat him like some sort of refuse.
“He was a hero to his children and we need to make sure as best as we possibly can that we can protect the way that his children see him.” But he said the sergeant has to pay for the killings if he is found guilty by the court martial.
West pointed out that the Qurans that were burned had been defaced by captured Taliban fighters who had allegedly used them to pass messages.
“If you understood Islamic culture, as soon as those Jihadists and terrorists wrote in the Qurans, by their own cultural standards, they should have been killed,” he said. “It was not about burning Qurans. We were disposing of contraband.”
Six U.S. servicemen have been killed in violence spurred by the burning, but West said it is important that we do not retaliate. “We’re better than that,” he said. “We don’t react irrationally like some of these barbaric radical Islamists do by burning crosses and [saying] Death to the United States of America.
“They would not have the freedoms and the liberties that they currently have if it were not for the men and women who have lost their limbs and lost their lives in Afghanistan in trying to give them and their children a brighter future.
West said unless safe havens for terrorists in Pakistan have to be dealt with, the military should leave “because you are not going to have a secure situation.”
“You have got to deny sanctuary wherever it is. You have to cordon off this enemy. You have to interdict their free flow of men, materiel and weapons support.
“When you’ve got [the Taliban’s former Afghan head of state] Mullah Omar sitting over in Quetta; when you have got the Haqqani network sitting over there in the Tribal Areas in Pakistan launching their attacks coming in against our troops, then we have got to step this up.”

I will never forget when Obama said he was not seeking Victory in Afghanistan. I think it was in the fall of last year or maybe last summer. But to hear a President say such a thing is shocking, for Obama it is typical but I will never forget it as long as I live.
God bless LTC Rep. Allen West.

The Gary Sinise Foundation & Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation Team Up to Build Homes for America’s Bravest
The Gary Sinise Foundation & Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation Team Up to Build Homes for America’s Bravest
Actor Gary Sinise is joining with the families of 9/11 victims to build ‘Smart Homes’ for our most seriously wounded U.S. service members. The project, called Building for America’s Bravest, is a joint effort between the Gary Sinise Foundation and the Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation.
Gary Sinise and Frank Siller joined Megyn Kelly to talk about the importance of the project and how it came about. Sinise said that after our troops were deployed following 9/11, he got “very, very actively involved with supporting military charities and doing what I could to try to help people.”
Frank Siller, whose brother died on 9/11 trying to help save others, said, “We know we’re at war because of what happened, not only to Stephen, but to 3,000 people that day … Our men and women have picked up the torch since then, and have made tremendous sacrifices for us.”
Siller continued, saying, “The ones that are coming home that are severely injured, I think it is our responsibility as civilians here to make sure that we take care of them the proper way. And, this is the least that we can do.”
Sinise described the work of the program saying that through specially designed homes, they work to make the lives of quadruple amputees better.
Sinise in the green room — See what he had to say:
What made you want to start this foundation and help veterans with building Smart Homes?
Sinise: Multiple things made me want to do this for our troops. First, I have veterans in my family, both my wife’s side and my side of the family. Secondly, I got involved with Vietnam veterans groups in the early 80s in Chicago, and I played one in the movie ‘Forest Gump.’ Since I played a disabled veteran in the movie, I got involved with the Disabled American Veterans organization (DAV).
When 9/11 happened, I just wanted to do something. I didn’t want our warriors to come home and be treated like our Vietnam veterans were, so I just jumped in and tried to do as much as I could to help entertain them and support them in various ways. One of those ways is building specially designed homes for these very, very severely wounded warriors.

Harry Reid on Obama’s Sliding Popularity: “I Don’t Believe in Polls & Especially Not This One”
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Tuesday dismissed a new poll finding that President Obama’s approval rating has plunged in recent weeks. The Nevada Democrat said the survey — a joint effort between The New York Times and CBS News — is “flawed” and “meaningless,” suggesting that all public polls are misleading.
“This poll is so meaningless,” Reid told reporters at his weekly press briefing in the Capitol. “It is trying to give the American people an idea of what 300 million people feel by testing several hundred people.
“The poll is flawed in so many different ways,” he added, “including the way the questions were asked.” Released Monday, the Times/CBS survey found that 41 percent of respondents approve of the job Obama is doing — down from 50 percent in the same poll last month. Meanwhile, 47 percent of respondents said they disapprove of the president’s performance.

OMG This Is Unforgivable For Obama To Say:"Obama Says He‘s ’Proud Generally’ of Our Troops "
In an interview Monday with Denver station KCNC-TV, President Obama spoke about support for U.S. troops, saying that “we‘ve got to make sure that we’re caring for our soldiers,” but followed the seemingly compassionate pledge up with a disparaging remark that appeared to dismiss and diminish America’s service men and women outright. In speaking about our troops, the president said: “You can’t help but be proud of them generally.”
The comment came on the heels of the killing of 16 Afghan civilians allegedly by an American soldier.
Neil Cavuto: 'I hope I got that quote out of context'

FOX's Peter Doocy Tests Out the Military’s New Crowd Controlling Heat Wave Weapon
'You're not gonna see it, you're not gonna hear it, you're not gonna smell it: You're gonna feel it'...
The Department of Defense revealed its Active Denial System, a nonlethal weapon used to disperse crowds, secure perimeters, and even protect ships against pirates. Fox News’ Peter Doocy tested out the new tool, describing what it felt like firsthand on Fox and Friends.
The device is neither radioactive nor is it a laser beam. The waves can fire up to 1,000 meters away and are designed to target the subject in the line of sight, getting the part of their body it touches really hot so that they move. Peter reported that you can’t see it, hear it or smell it. One official described it as a method that allows them to “Shoot first and ask questions later. Normally you can’t do that.”
Peter tried it out, saying it felt like 1,000 degrees when he was hit with the heat ray. “I’ve never been inside a tub that somebody dropped a hairdryer in, but I would imagine that’s what it feels like,” he said. After about 1.5 seconds, 1/64 of an inch of his skin was 130 degrees, but the DOD says there aren’t any lingering effects. Researcher Stephanie Miller explained, “There’s no cancer risk, there’s no risk to a fetus or reproductive capability. It’s just heat.”

“Gov. Romney is the only candidate to offer a detailed plan to restore our military and provide the weapons and equipment our troops need to win wars decisively and come home safely. He will reverse President Obama’s dramatic defense cuts and increase our naval shipbuilding rate. Rather than reducing the defense budget, he will reduce the duplication of efforts and apply those savings to strengthening our military posture. And he will restore as a top priority the deployment of a multilayered national ballistic-missile defense system.”

Mitt Romney on ............MILITARY AND VETRANS BENEFITS:
“In February 2005, Romney filed legislation to increase benefits for Massachusetts National Guard members. Working with the state legislature, Romney developed the "Welcome Home Bill" which provides guardsman with reduced life-insurance premiums and free tuition and fees at Massachusetts universities and community colleges. The bill also increases daily state active-duty pay rate from $75 to $100, and increases the death benefit paid to families of Guard members killed in the line of duty from $5,000 to $100,000. Additionally, the "Welcome Home Bill" creates a $1,000 bonus for Guardsman and reservists called to active duty in Iraq and Afghanistan since the September 11, 2001 attacks and a $500 bonus for those who were activated for duty elsewhere. The legislation provides a $2,000 benefit for Gold Star spouses and increases the Gold Star parents' benefit from $1,500 to $2,000.
“High school diplomas will also be granted to veterans who dropped out to enlist in World War II, Korea or Vietnam wars. Romney signed the bill into law on Veterans Day 2005.
“In a November 3, 2006 press release, Romney stated that the account that funds the insurance benefits created in the "Welcome Home Bill" faced a deficit of $64,000. The Massachusetts legislature was out of session at the time of the shortfall. According to the press release, Romney transferred money from the governor's office budget to cover the deficit.
“Working with the legislature, Romney developed legislation to provide tax exemptions to disabled veterans and benefits to families of fallen and missing soldiers. Romney signed the Massachusetts Military Enhanced Relief Individual Tax (MERIT) Plan into law on August 14, 2006. The bill increases property tax exemptions for disabled veterans and grants spouses of veterans killed or missing in action since September 11, 2001 full property tax exemptions for five years. After five years the spouses receive an annual $2,500 exemption under the legislation.
“Romney was also the first governor in Massachusetts history to appoint a secretary of veteran's affairs to his cabinet.
“Romney's efforts to assist Massachusetts servicemen were recognized by the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve, which presented him with the Pro Patria Award and the 2006 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award.
Mitt Romney: Grow military spending, build new ships, planes - Oct 6, 2011
“HILLSDALE, Mich. - In a speech to Hillsdale College graduates yesterday about confronting a world filled with evil, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said America should combat radical Islam by bulking up its military.
“ "There is no safe place if evil is unrestrained," the former Massachusetts governor said during his address at the campus 80 miles northwest of Toledo.
“ "The weak may hide, but they become weaker still, until at last they are discovered and easily conquered. History teaches us this: The best ally of peace is a strong America."
“Mr. Romney proposed adding 100,000 troops and keeping defense spending at 4 percent or more of America's gross domestic product, a remark that garnered applause from the families and friends of Hillsdale's 306 listed graduates. With $580 billion projected to cover the U.S. military and Iraq war this year, defense spending already is above the 4 percent mark.”

Obama Campaign Gets 9 MORE Air Force Aircraft ~ Our Tax Dollars Paying for Obama's Campaign!!!
Obama campaign gets 9 more Air Force aircraft ~ Our Tax Dollars Paying for Obama's Campaign!!!
The U.S. Air Force is pulling nine cargo aircraft from military operations to support President Barack Obama’s stepped-up visits to campaign events.
The five medium-capacity C-130s and four heavyweight C-17s will be used to ferry security vehicles, armored limousines and communications gear into cities ahead of Obama’s campaign appearances.
In the months before November, the president is expected to fly into multiple cities per week, and speak at multiple sites per day. On Mar. 8, for example, the president will fly to Richmond, and then drive over to a Rolls-Royce aircraft-parts factory. That evening, he’ll fly down to Houston, Texas.
His wife, Vice President Joe Biden and many of his cabinet secretaries are using the Air Force’s fleet of VIP aircraft to visit more states as the election season speeds up.
The nine cargo aircraft will begin operations in April, said Maj. Michelle Lai, communications officer for the Air Force’s 89th Airlift Wing. “They’ll stand down in November 2012,” she said.
The Air Force allocated extra aircraft to support President George W. Bush when he was running for re-election in 2004, she added.
Currently, the aircraft “already belong to other [Air Force] units,” said Lai. “They’re continuing to fly troops or supplies into the [Middle East] theater or across the country.”
The cargo aircraft have been used to fly troops, weapons and supplies into U.S. bases in Afghanistan, Iraq and other sites in the Middle East during the decade-long operations in Afghanistan and Iraq. However, fewer aircraft are needed day-to-day since Obama’s decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq, which is sandwiched between hostile governments in Iran and Syria.
The big C-17s will be based at Andrews Air Force Base, just outside Washington D.C. They’re powerful enough to carry a 60-ton Abrams tank, and are wide and long enough to carry several limos, security trucks and communications vans.
The smaller C-130s will be based in Delaware. They can carry 20 tons of cargo, but can only fit a few vehicles.
The squadrons will supplement the existing fleet of VIP passenger aircraft at Andrews. Those aircraft include two giant Boeing 747s — which are tagged Air Force One while they’re carrying the president — as well as five Boeing 757 wide-body passenger jets, and 11 Gulfstream executive jets.
Those passenger aircraft are already helping shuttling cabinet secretaries to their election-related events, many of which are in critical swing-states.
On Feb. 24, first lady Michelle Obama and Biden flew to a campaign event in North Carolina.
On Feb. 25, Kathleen Sebelius, Obama’s secretary of the nation’s medical sector, also visited North Carolina to attend a event for a gay advocacy group. While there, she declared that “there’s an important election in early May in North Carolina … [and] it’s a great template for what needs to be done to organize people and turn out people for November.”
“North Carolina is hugely important in this next election,” she added.
The first lady visited the state again on March 2, and Obama followed her to the state March 7.
While Obama jets to Richmond and Houston Friday, Homeland Security Sec. Janet Napolitano flies to New York to participate in a panel discussion at the Women in the World Summit 2012.

White House Organizing Prayer Vigil For Obamacare Outside Supreme Court
White House Works to Shape Debate Over Health Law
The White House has begun an aggressive campaign to use approaching Supreme Court arguments on the newhealth care law as a moment to build support for the measure seen asPresident Obama’s signature legislative achievement, hoping to shape public opinion on an issue at the center of the battle for the White House and Congress.
On Wednesday, White House officials summoned dozens of leaders of nonprofit organizations that strongly back the health law to help them coordinate plans for a prayer vigil, press conferences and other events outside the court when justices hear arguments for three days beginning March 26.
At the White House meeting on Wednesday, a wide range of advocates representing consumers and people with diseases and disabilities — as well as doctors and nurses, labor unions and religious organizations — discussed plans to bolster the landmark law, which is being challenged by 26 states as unconstitutional.
Supporters of the law plan to hold events outside the court on each day of oral argument. The events include speeches by people with medical problems who have benefited or could benefit from the law. In addition, supporters will arrange for radio hosts to interview health care advocates at a “radio row,” at the United Methodist Building on Capitol Hill.
People who attended the meeting on Wednesday said the speakers included Jennifer Palmieri, deputy communications director at the White House; Jon Carson, director of the president’s Office of Public Engagement; Jeanne M. Lambrew, deputy assistant to the president for health policy; and Mark B. Childress, a deputy chief of staff at the White House.

Obama regime to Congress: We'll tell you what we're doing with military force ~ WOW This is Against Our Constitution!
Defense Secretary Leon Panetta told Senators the administration would seek UN or NATO approval for the deployment of U.S. forces overseas while deciding whether or not it would seek approval from Congress.
The statement shocked Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), who asked Panetta if he could "initiate a no-fly zone in Syria" without Congressional approval.
"Again, our goal would be to seek international permission and we would ...come to the Congress and inform you and determine how best to approach this, whether or not we would want to get permission from the Congress - I think those are issues we would have to discuss as we decide what to do here," Panetta said.
"I'm almost breathless about that," Sessions responded.
"What I heard you say is, we're going to seek international approval and then we'll come and tell the Congress what we might do and we might seek Congressional approval," he added, giving Panetta a chance to clarify his remarks.
Sessions said he was all in favor of international support, but added that he was "baffled by the idea that somehow, an international assembly" would provide a legal basis for the deployment of the U.S. military.
The Senator lectured Panetta at that point, saying that international bodies "provide no legal authority" to deploy U.S. military into combat operations.
Panetta responded by saying the President has authority to act in order to defend the country, and reiterated his view that he would seek international approval to do so. At no time in the 7 minute video did Panetta ever mention seeking approval from the U.S. Congress.
"Obama is bypassing Congress every chance he can to do whatever he wants. He did it in Libya and then never complied with the War Powers Act, and I’d expect he’d do that again. He is a totalitarian, it’s just that simple,"
.
Obama regime to Congress: We'll tell you what we're doing with military force
The Pentagon is engaging in damage control after shocking testimony yesterday by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta at a Senate Armed Services Committee congressional hearing during which it was confirmed that the U.S. government is now completely beholden to international power structures and that the legislative branch is a worthless relic.
During the hearing yesterday Panetta and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey brazenly admitted that their authority comes not from the U.S. Constitution, but that the United States is subservient to and takes its marching orders from the United Nations and NATO, international bodies over which the American people have no democratic influence.
Panetta was asked by Senator Jeff Sessions, “We spend our time worrying about the U.N., the Arab League, NATO and too little time, in my opinion, worrying about the elected representatives of the United States. As you go forward, will you consult with the United States Congress?”
The Defense Secretary responded “You know, our goal would be to seek international permission. And we would come to the Congress and inform you and determine how best to approach this, whether or not we would want to get permission from the Congress.”
Despite Sessions’ repeated efforts to get Panetta to acknowledge that the United States Congress is supreme to the likes of NATO and the UN, Panetta exalted the power of international bodies over the US legislative branch.
“I’m really baffled by the idea that somehow an international assembly provides a legal basis for the United States military to be deployed in combat,” Sessions said. “I don’t believe it’s close to being correct. They provide no legal authority. The only legal authority that’s required to deploy the United States military is of the Congress and the president and the law and the Constitution.”
Panetta’s assertion that he would seek “international permission” before ‘informing’ Congress about the actions of the US military provoked a firestorm of controversy, prompting the
“He was re-emphasizing the need for an international mandate. We are not ceding U.S. decision-making authority to some foreign body,” a defense official told CNN.
However, this is not the first time that the authority of international bodies has been framed as being superior to the US Congress and the Constitution.
In June last year, President Obama arrogantly expressed his hostility to the rule of law when he dismissed the need to get congressional authorization to commit the United States to a military intervention in Libya, churlishly dismissing criticism and remarking, “I don’t even have to get to the Constitutional question.”
Obama tried to legitimize his failure to obtain Congressional approval for military involvement by sending a letter to Speaker of the House John Boehner in which he said the military assault was “authorized by the United Nations (U.N.) Security Council.”
Panetta’s testimony that the US looks to obtain “international permission” before it acts, allied with Obama citing the UN as the supreme authority while trashing the power of Congress, prove that the United States has ceded control over its own affairs to unelected international bureaucrats, just as the countries of the European Union have done likewise.
.
Wild Thing's comment......
God help all of us if Obama gets another term. I am terrified he will win again.
The Defense Secretary literally telling Congress that he answers to the UN over them ....this is TREASON!
It is a violation of his Oath to the Constitution.

Obama Lobbying Against Keystone Pipeline ~ Wake Up Voters Obama The Worst Pres. In USA History!
Obama Lobbying Against Keystone Pipeline
House Speaker John Boehner calling out President Obama for his lobbying of Democrat Senators today that killed the Keystone Oil Pipeline – again – in the U.S. Senate. Boehner said Obama likes to talk about having “an all of the above energy policy,” but his actions just don’t show that.
Democrats today killed an effort to approve the Keystone Pipeline by preventing it from coming up for vote in the U.S. Senate. It had to get 60 votes, and only got 56. Obama himself, reportedly personally lobbied against the pipeline. Just another example that for Obama, it’s not about what is best for the American people, it’s all about what comports with his far-Left, environmental-wacko ideology.
I hope the country will note this was a Republican effort to build the pipeline and create jobs – and it was the effort of Obama and the Democrats to keep that from happening.
.
The measure has sharply divided key Democratic constituencies. Labor unions largely back the plan while environmentalists oppose it.
President Barack Obama rejected a bid in January to expedite the pipeline, arguing that a decision deadline imposed by Congress did not leave sufficient time to conduct necessary reviews. Administration officials have said the president may still eventually give the project a green light, though critics accuse him of trying to delay a final decision until after the November election. Obama personally lobbied wavering Democrats to block passage of the amendment.
“He made some calls,” White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters before the vote. “The president believes that it is wrong to play politics with a pipeline project whose (exact) route has yet to be proposed.”.
,

American Petroleum Institute President Speaks Up About Horrible Obama's Oil Double-Speak ~ HUGE Thank you!
API President Jack Gerard Mocks Obama’s Oil Double-Speak During Congressional Hearing (Video)
American Petroleum Institute President Jack Gerard went before a Congressional hearing today and blasted President Obama’s double-speak on oil production.
“It’s others who have called on the Saudis to produce more. Others, who have called on other sources such as the Brazilians and yet others who recognize that supply matters by calling for release from the strategic oil preserve.”
Obama insists more supply isn’t the answer. We must lower demand instead by investing in his failed green energy projects.

God bless this man and anyone else that speaks up to and at and against Obama.

As Gov. in 2006 Gov. Romney Denounced Khatami Visit To Harvard ~ Good For Romney!!!!
Romney came out strong against the upcoming visit of former Iranian President Mohammed Khatami’s visit to lecture at Harvard. He's took a strong stand on this one.
ROMNEY DENOUNCES KHATAMI VISIT TO HARVARD
Declines to provide escort, or offer state support for trip
Governor Mitt Romney today ordered all Massachusetts state government agencies to decline support, if asked, for former Iranian President Mohammed Khatami’s September 10 visit to the Boston area, where he is scheduled to speak at Harvard University.
“State taxpayers should not be providing special treatment to an individual who supports violent jihad and the destruction of Israel,” said Romney.
Romney’s action means that Khatami will be denied an official police escort and other VIP treatment when he is in town. The federal government provides security through the U.S. State Department.
Romney criticized Harvard for honoring Khatami by inviting him to speak, calling it “a disgrace to the memory of all Americans who have lost their lives at the hands of extremists, especially on the eve of the five-year anniversary of 9/11.”
Said Romney: “The U.S. State Department listed Khatami’s Iran as the number one state sponsor of terrorism. Within his own country, Khatami oversaw the torture and murder of dissidents who spoke out for freedom and democracy. For him to lecture Americans about tolerance and violence is propaganda, pure and simple.”
Romney cited a litany of hateful actions by Khatami, including his support for violent jihadist activities:
During the period of time he was in office, from 1997 to 2005, Khatami presided over Iran’s secret nuclear program. Currently, the Iranian Government under President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is snubbing the international community’s request to cease nuclear weapons production.
In the recent conflict along the Israel-Lebanon border, Khatami described the terrorist group Hezbollah as a “shining sun that illuminates and warms the hearts of all Muslims and supporters of freedom in the world.”
Khatami has endorsed Ahmadinejad’s call for the annihilation of Israel.
During Khatami’s presidency, Iran refused to hand over the Iranian intelligence officials who were responsible for the attack on the Khobar Towers that killed 19 U.S. military personnel.
In his own country, Khatami oversaw the torture and murder of Iranian students, journalists, and others who spoke out for freedom and democracy. Khatami relaxed freedom of speech laws giving democracy reformers a false sense of security only to engage in one of the largest crackdowns in the country’s history.
In Khatami’s Iran, there was no religious tolerance. According to the U.S. Office of International Religious Freedom, Iran was one of the worst offenders of religious persecutions. Minorities, such as Evangelicals, Jews, Catholics and others, have suffered.
“Khatami pretends to be a moderate, but he is not. My hope is that the United States will find and work with real voices of moderation inside Iran. But we will never make progress in the region if we deal with wolves in sheep’s clothing,” said Romney.
The Bush administration this week asked Congress for $5 million to pay for visits by 200 Iranian professionals and foreign-language teachers to help open cultural exchange efforts.
Khatami's visit included participation in a United Nations conference earlier in the week, and stops in Illinois and Washington, D.C.'s National Cathedral.
.
Wild Thing's comment.........
It was a disgrace that Khatami was invited and let into the country in the first place.
From reading other articles about his online I saw where Condi Rice was appealed to not to invite or allow this terrorist to come to our country. But she did not stop it,.....it was her idea.

Hannity Shows Video of Obama at Harvard Praising Radical Professor in 1991 – Video
Hannity Shows Video of Barack Obama at Harvard Praising Radical Professor in 1991; Also Shows Video of Leftist Prof Admitting “Of Course We Hid This Throughout the 2008 Campaign”
Professor Derrick Bell was a hardcore Farrakhan supporter.
Sean Hannity last night playing video of Barack Obama in 1991 at Harvard embracing – literally – the radical views of Harvard Professor Derrick Bell. In the video, which we posted earlier after it was released by Breitbart.com, Obama praises Bell, who advocated “Critical Race Theory”:
Many mainstream legal scholars have criticized CRT on a number of grounds, including some scholars’ use of narrative and storytelling, as well as the critique of objectivity adopted by critical race theorists in connection with the critique of merit. Daniel Farber and Suzanna Sherry have argued that critical race theory, along with critical feminism and critical legal studies, has anti-Semitic and anti-Asian implications, has worked to undermine notions of democratic community and has impeded dialogue.[7] Judge Richard Posner of the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in Chicago has “label[ed] critical race theorists and postmodernists the ‘lunatic core’ of ‘radical legal egalitarianism.’”
In the video, Obama urges the crowd to “open up your hearts and your minds to the words of Professor Derrick Bell.” They then embraced.
Hannity also played video brought forward by Breitbart.com, showing another Harvard Professor telling his class in 2011 – after showing them this same video – that “of course, we hid this throughout the 2008 Campaign.”
Barack Obama was as close or closer to Derrick Bell than he ever was to Jeremiah Wright. Obama didn’t merely sit in the pews – or not -- for Derrick Bell. He didn’t just hang out with Derrick Bell for prayers. He said:
“Open up your hearts and your minds to the words of Professor Derrick Bell.”
If we did, here’s what we’d be opening our hearts and minds to. This is a close associate of Jeremiah Wright, a man who was quoted by Jeremiah Wright regularly. This is a man who posited that the civil rights movement was too moderate because it accepted the status quo, and believed that the entire legal and constitutional system had to be transformed in radical fashion. This is a man so extreme that, as we’ve reported, he wrote a story in 1993 in which he posited that white Americans would sell black Americans into slavery to aliens to relieve the national debt, and that Jews would go along with it.
There’s far more coming on Derrick Bell. This is just the beginning. And this video is a smoking gun showing that Barack Obama not only associated with radicals, he was their advocate.

We warned people what Obama was, his assocications, his agenda for our country and too many would not listen. IMO they did not care, and I will also say they do not love America....not if they voted for Obama.

Mitt Romney Gets the Endorsements of Congressman Aaron Schock and Missouri Senator Roy Blunt
Illinois Congressman Aaron Schock made the following statement on the upcoming Illinois primary:
“Last night, Republican voters across the country sent a strong message that Mitt Romney is the only candidate who can unite our party and defeat Barack Obama in the fall. Governor Romney has a bold plan to reform our tax code, streamline the federal government, and put this country back on a path to prosperity."
"Perhaps more importantly, he has the record and the experience to back it up. Four years ago, Barack Obama launched his bid for the Presidency from Illinois. After a first term fraught with chronic unemployment, record deficits, and a skyrocketing federal budget, it’s time to unite behind Mitt Romney and bring Barack Obama back home in November.”
.
Senator Roy Blunt Endorses Romney
Blunt says Romney best prepared to put America on path to economic prosperity
“As we saw during last night’s primaries, Mitt Romney's plan to help put people back to work and rein in out-of-control spending is resonating with voters nationwide. Thanks to his experience as governor and in the private sector, Mitt Romney is clearly the best prepared candidate to help put America back on a path to economic prosperity.
“In a few weeks, Missourians will make their choice during our state caucuses. I’m proud to support Governor Romney's bold agenda to jumpstart our nation's economy, and I urge my fellow Missourians who are looking for a fiscally responsible leader to support his candidacy for president.”

Michelle Obama Attends $100,000 Per Couple Fundraiser
Michelle Obama Attends $100,000 Per Couple Fundraiser
There was some major bucks paid out last week at the fund raisers attended by First Lady Michelle Obama in North Carolina.
The top price was $100,000 per couple event at the Ballantyne hotel in Charlotte to benefit the Democratic National Convention, reports Lynn Sweet of the Chicago Sun-Times. That included dinner, a performance by singer James Taylor, and a photo with the First Lady and something called “a couple greet.” If you gave $50,000, you got basically the same thing without the couple greet. For $12,500, a couple got into the dinner, but no photograph and no greeting.
Earlier in the evening at the same hotel, a person could attend a reception with the First Lady and Taylor. The cost was $2,500 for platinum seating which included cuff links or bracelets with the convention logo, $1,000 for gold seating, and $250 for the cheap seats.
Wild Thing's comment......
WOW! They are really bringing in the big money. I have to wonder how much of it they will steal and just use for themselves. Michelle and some shopping perhaps? haha

Bibi Netanyahu Addresses AIPAC 2012 (3.5.12 full speech video) ~ This is a TRUE Leader Unlike What We Are Stuck With in America!
Bibi Netanyahu Full Speech at AIPAC last night.
a few snipets from speech:
I’d like to talk to you about a subject no one has been talking about recently….Iran. Every day, I open the papers and read about these red lines and these timelines. I read about what Israel has decided to do or what Israel might do. Well, I’m not going to talk to you about what Israel will do or will not do. I, never talk about that. But I do want to talk to you about the dangers of a nuclear-armed Iran. I want to explain why Iran must never be allowed to develop nuclear weapons.
The Jewish state will not allow those seeking our destruction to possess the means to achieve that goal. A nuclear armed Iran must be stopped. Amazingly, some people refuse to acknowledge that Iran’s goal is to develop nuclear weapons. You see, Iran claims that it’s enriching uranium to develop medical research. Yeah, right. A country that builds underground nuclear facilities, develops intercontinental ballistic missiles, manufactures thousands of centrifuges, and absorbs crippling sanctions – is doing all that in order to advance…medical research. So you see, when that Iranian ICBM is flying through the air to a location near you, you’ve got nothing to worry about. It’s only carrying medical isotopes.
Ladies and Gentlemen, if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then what is it? That’s right, it’s a duck –but this duck is a nuclear duck. And it’s time the world started calling a duck a duck.
We deeply appreciate the great alliance between our two countries. But when it comes to Israel’s survival, we must always remain the masters of our fate. Israel’s fate is to continue to be the forward position of freedom in the Middle East. The only place where minorities enjoy full civil rights; The only place where Arabs enjoy full civil rights. The only place where Christians are free to practice their faith; The only place where real judges protect the rule of law; And as Prime Minister of Israel, I will never allow anything to threaten Israel’s democratic way of life. And most especially, I will never tolerate any discrimination against women.
We are blessed to live in an age when there is a Jewish state capable of defending the Jewish people. And we are doubly blessed to have so many friends like you, Jews and non-Jews alike, who love the State of Israel and support its right to defend itself. Thank you for your friendship, Thank you for your courage, Thank you for standing up for the one and only Jewish state.
.

Deep sigh, I wish we had a President like Bibi. I pray one day we have one that loves our country like Bibi loves Israel.

Mercedes‘ ’Invisible’ Car.... Here’s the Awesome Video
The whole thing is a “publicity stunt,” writes Mashable, in order to show how the new Mercedes F-Cell hydrogen car has zero emissions (save for water). The clever line is that it’s essentially “invisible to the environment.” And while that is up for debate (after all, what about all the coal burned to manufacture the parts for the car?) the truth is the video below shows how it’s at least nearly invisible to the naked eye.
Mercedes says its hydrogen-powered drive system is “ready for series production,” but other reports have its commercialization set for 2014. However, fuel-cell technology is still notoriously expensive, partly because hydrogen is a difficult fuel to store and transport. The materials needed to create a viable fuel-cell are still hovering in the pricey stratosphere.

Ron Paul: No Federal Financial Aid for Tornado Victims
Ron Paul: No Federal Financial Aid for Tornado Victims
Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, stood by his libertarian beliefs on Sunday, saying that victims of the violent storms and tornadoes that have battered a band of states in the South and Midwest in recent days should not be given emergency financial aid from the federal government.
"There is no such thing as federal money," Paul said, on CNN’s State of the Union. "Federal money is just what they steal from the states and steal from you and me."
"The people who live in tornado alley, just as I live in hurricane alley, they should have insurance," Paul said.
Paul said there was a role for the National Guard to restore order and provide care and shelter in major emergencies, but that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) led to nothing but "frustration and anger."
"To say that any accident that happens in the country, send in FEMA, send in the money, the government has all this money—it is totally out of control and it's not efficient," Paul said
Wild Thing's comment.....
What a horrible person. He has no sympathy for people that have gone through a natural disaster. WOW!

Sen. Tom Coburn Endorses Mitt Romney ~ Another Conservative For Mitt
Sen. Tom Coburn Endorses Mitt Romney!
Sen. Tom Coburn: Mitt Romney best equipped to solve problems facing our nation.
BY SEN. TOM COBURN
America faces the greatest challenges of any in my lifetime. Our debt is now the size of our entire economy. If we don't change course in the near future, we will face an economic catastrophe far worse than our recent recession.
At the same time, we're facing a crisis of leadership in Washington. The problems and solutions are widely understood — and far from impossible to implement — yet our so-called leaders have shown little interest in solving problems. President Obama campaigned as a transformational leader, yet he has rejected transformational solutions such as the Simpson-Bowles plan that gave Washington a framework for averting a debt crisis.
Elections are about choices. This November, the most important choice facing the American people will be whether we will demand a solution and avert a debt crisis or whether we will continue to accept the status quo and hope for the best. I'm confident the vast majority of Americans on both sides of the aisle want a solution. The next choice, then, is deciding who is best qualified to enact a solution.
In life, and especially politics, our choices are seldom perfect and often difficult. But it is critically important to make a choice and support the person who is best equipped to solve the urgent problems before us. In my view, that person is Mitt Romney.
From my experience, Washington tends to be divided between two groups — leaders and career politicians. Leaders tend to have a wealth of real-world experience outside of politics and are in office to give rather than take something from their position. Career politicians, on the other hand, mean well but are ill-equipped to solve problems. Their greatest skill is getting re-elected.
I'm proud to support Romney because he is a leader. What Romney has done in his 25 years in the private sector is precisely what we need a president to do in Washington. Romney has done hard things. He has turned businesses around, told people hard truths about what needed to be done, inspired confidence and overcome excuses. Romney is not a career politician or a career legislator. As a former governor and business leader, he is an executive who knows how to use executive power.
My endorsement is in no way an instruction on how Oklahomans should vote. Yet having served with the other candidates, I do know something about the field. Each candidate has admirable qualities. However, on too many occasions I have seen each behave like career politicians rather than leaders. The most important test for anyone in public life is what they do with power. Too often, the other candidates displayed political expediency rather than moral courage and rationalized poor decisions that put Republicans ahead of the republic.
Just last week, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke said we are about to go over a massive fiscal cliff. We can't afford to elect a career politician at this decisive moment in our history. We need to elect a leader. I'm confident that leader is Mitt Romney.
.
Wild Thing's comment.........
Sen. Coburn's a good man and a tuff fiscal conservative . Many of you will remember the video that many of us posted before of Sen. Coburn saying:
“There’s a lot of candidates out there. I’m not inclined to be a supporter of Newt Gingrich’s having served under him for four years and personally experienced his leadership, There’s all types of leaders. Leaders that instill confidence, leaders that are somewhat abrupt and brisk. Leaders that have one standard for the people that they’re leading and a different standard for themselves. I just found his leadership lacking,” Coburn said.

New Movie Highlights Obama’s Atrocious Anti-Israel Policies
This video highlight’s Barack Obama’s shameful and dangerous anti-Israel policies.
One day before the AIPAC conference kicks off in Washington, an anti-Obama pro-Israel group is widening its criticism of President Barack Obama’s record on Israel — while the White House defends its treatment of the relationship.
The video has clips of Obama quotes and outside commentary to put forth the narrative that Obama has made statements and taken actions as president that have put him out of step with the government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his supporters.
“We believe that that the borders of Israel and Palestine should be based on the 1967 lines,” Obama is shown saying, a reference to his May, 2011 speech, where he for the first time explicitly defined U.S. policy as supporting the 1967 borders with agreed swaps as the basis for Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations.
“He didn’t quite have a full grasp of what the full region looks like,” conservative journalist Lee Smith is shown saying in the video. “This is not how you treat an ally.”

UN to Propose Regulations of Water and Food for Earth ~
The United Nations is going to propose planetary regulations of food and water for planet Earth.
An environmental report issued by an agency of the United Nations last month has some critics sounding the alarm, saying it is a clarion call for “global governance” over how the Earth is managed.
The report, “21 Issues for the 21st Century,” from the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) Foresight Process, is the culmination of a two-year deliberative process involving 22 core scientists. It is expected to receive considerable attention in the run-up to the Rio+20 United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, which will be held in Rio, Brazil, in June.
The scientists who wrote the report say it focuses on identifying emerging issues in the global environment, and that it is not about mandating solutions.
But its critics see an agenda lurking in its 60 pages, which call for a complete overhaul of how the world’s food and water are created and distributed — something the report says is “urgently needed” for the human race to keep feeding and hydrating itself safely.
“This is more utopianism, pie-in-the-sky pleading for ‘global governance,’ including what they acknowledge as ‘novel governance arrangements,’ including, ‘alliances between environmentalist and other civil society groups,’” charged Chris Horner, author of Red Hot Lies: How Global Warming Alarmists Use Threats, Fraud and Deception to Keep You Misinformed, and a senior fellow for energy and environment at the free-market Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) in Washington, D.C.

Beautiful Ann Romney Wife of GOP Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney on Fox & Friends This Morning
Ann Romney – wife of GOP Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney – on Fox & Friends this morning, where she hit back at former President Bill Clinton, who recently said Mitt Romney’s Dad would be “turning over in his grave” because he opposed the bailouts of the auto companies.
Ann Romney said, “Oh no. Mitt’s father would be cheering – would be with Mitt 100%. . . So no, Mitt’s father would be cheering, cheering with Mitt.”
Ann Romney is a great asset to Mitt Romney’s Campaign – maybe his best asset! They need to keep her in front of the cameras as much as possible.
Mitt Romney, like the other presidential candidates, opposed the bailout, even penning a 2008 op-ed titled "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt." Romney has explained that letting the auto companies go bankrupt wouldn't mean liquidating them, "but allowing them to go to the bankruptcy court to reorganize and come out stronger. That's what happened."
Romney says he would have given banks federal loan guarantees so they could loan Detroit the necessary money, instead of having the government offer the loan directly. But the financial crisis created an environment in 2008 in which banks were reticent to give huge loans to the auto companies, and the White House insists the private capital wasn't there to save the companies.
.
Wild Thing's comment..........
I like her a lot, she speaks well, is pretty, smart, and has a lot of class. I also agree with what Mitt has said about the auto bailout. It is one thing to help out a company and another to just hand them a ton of money ( our tax dollars) and take the chance of them not making big changes that got them into trouble in the first place.
I lilke Neil Cavuto. It was good to see Neil Cavuto speak about Ann Romney. They are both inspiring examples of ongoing courage through their chronic health issues.

Texas Launching Navy, Strengthening Border Forces
Texas launching navy, strengthening border forces
McALLEN, Texas — There may be no better view of the Texas-Mexico border than from a seat inside the state's newest law enforcement helicopter.
The Rio Grande Valley is the most heavily smuggled area in Texas, said Lt. Johnny Prince, a pilot for the Texas Department of Public Safety.
"Does a person in Dallas really care what's going on on the river?" he asked. "[How about] Atlanta, Georgia? New York? Detroit? All these drugs are moving into those cities."
High-speed pursuits where drug smugglers accelerate into oncoming traffic can sometimes be a daily occurrence in the Rio Grande Valley cities of Brownsville, Harlingen and McAllen.
State troopers took News 8 on patrol over the international border as they looked for drug smugglers.
"We're not stopping it, but we're making it a lot more difficult and we're making a lot more seizures," Prince said.
That's causing the cartels to adjust as well.
In one pursuit video captured by the DPS helicopter, a smuggler driving a Dodge pickup truck is seen fleeing a police officer. Smugglers like this now often head immediately back to the border.
In this case, the driver jumped out of the cab as the truck rolled into the Rio Grande. But the video also reveals what the cartel is doing differently.
It now sends boats over to unload tens of thousands of dollars in drugs before police seize them.
"They were losing a lot of money," Prince explained. "So one of the things they decided to do, is try to recover the commodity — their drugs — back to Mexico to smuggle it another day."
The new helicopter is part of a growing presence on the Texas border by the Department of Public Safety, but next month it's about to launch its own fleet of gunboats.
"It sends a message: Don't mess with Texas," said Jose Rodriguez, Texas DPS Regional Commander.
The state is spending almost $3.5 million in tax money for six 34-foot gunboats, each which can operate in as little as two feet of water. The vessels are outfitted with automatic weapons and bulletproof shielding.
The state's first boat is scheduled to be launched next month to operate alongside the Border Patrol.
"One agency cannot do this alone," Rodriguez said.
The gunboats will be looking for suspicious scenes, like another one the DPS helicopter captured in December showing 10 men riding down the river and sitting on bundles of drugs that were no doubt destined for the U.S.
The $4 million chopper didn't cost taxpayers a dime. Troopers said they bought it with seized drug money to add a bird's eye view of the border — courtesy of the cartels.

AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio Announces Results of Investigation into Barack Obama’s Birth Certificate
Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona, announced Thursday that his six-month investigation had found that “probable cause exists indicating that forgery and fraud may have been committed” in the release of President Obama’s long-form birth certificate.
Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio speaking to the media today about a “cold-case posse” investigation he and others have done regarding President Barack Obama’s Birth Certificate. Arpaio said he began the investigation after concerned citizens from the Surprise, Arizona Tea Party came to him and asked if he would look into the controversy surrounding Obama’s Birth Certificate. Their findings....
“Upon close examination of the evidence, we are prepared today to say that we believe probable cause exists indicating that forgery and fraud may have been committed, not only in President Obama’s long-form birth certificate, but more disturbing evidence that another fraud may have been committed regarding his Selective Service Administration Registration card. At the very least, I can tell you this: Based on all of the evidence presented, and investigated, I cannot in good faith report to you that these documents are authentic. My investigators believe that the long-form birth certificate was manufactured electronically and that it did not originate in the paper format as claimed by the White House.”

Widely read conservative Internet publisher Andrew Breitbart, whose flare for battle with politicians and the mainstream media earned him a reputation as one of the nation's most influential commentators, died Thursday.
The websites he founded ran a statement Thursday morning announcing that Breitbart, 43, died "unexpectedly from natural causes" in Los Angeles shortly after midnight. His attorney and editor-in-chief of those sites confirmed his death to Fox News.
"We have lost a husband, a father, a son, a brother, a dear friend, a patriot and a happy warrior," the statement said. "Andrew lived boldly, so that we more timid souls would dare to live freely and fully, and fight for the fragile liberty he showed us how to love."
The statement on his sites quoted the concluding passage from his book, Righteous Indignation.
"I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and -- famously -- I enjoy making enemies. Three years ago, I was mostly a behind-the-scenes guy who linked to stuff on a very popular website. I always wondered what it would be like to enter the public realm to fight for what I believe in. I've lost friends, perhaps dozens. But I've gained hundreds, thousands -- who knows? -- of allies. At the end of the day, I can look at myself in the mirror, and I sleep very well at night," Breitbart wrote.
The statement ended: "Andrew is at rest, yet the happy warrior lives on, in each of us."
Breitbart was walking near his house in the Brentwood neighborhood shortly after midnight Thursday when he collapsed, his father-in-law Orson Bean said.
Someone saw him fall and called paramedics, who tried to revive him. They rushed him to the emergency room at UCLA Medical Center, Bean said. Breitbart had suffered heart problems a year earlier, but Bean said he could not pinpoint what happened.
"I don't know what to say. It's devastating," Bean told The Associated Press.
Those who knew and worked with him described Breitbart almost uniformly as "fearless," sharply intelligent, witty and devoted to his work.
"He was the modern conservative iteration of a 1960's radical," conservative commentator Jonah Goldberg told Fox News, minutes after Breitbart's death was reported.
"When I say he was the most fearless guy I ever knew, it really is true. I mean, he truly loved the fight," he said.
Breitbart considered his charge to expose corruption, hypocrisy and media bias, and leveraged his network of websites to reach for that goal.
He was on the forefront of reporting several controversies, notably the salacious tweets former Rep. Anthony Weiner had sent to young women before his resignation.
Breitbart became embroiled in a controversy of his own, though, for his reporting on a web video of Agriculture Department employee Shirley Sherrod. The edited video appeared to show Sherrod making a racist comment, but the full tape later put the remark in context and made clear that Sherrod was actually talking about bridging racial differences. Sherrod was fired after the edited video surfaced, and later filed suit against Breitbart.
Breitbart, though, went on to report on one of the biggest congressional scandals of 2011 -- the tweets sent by Weiner to young women he met online. The former New York congressman, who is married, adamantly denied the reports at first, before admitting to them in a tearful press conference and resigning.
One of Breitbart's most memorable moments came when he commandeered the podium before Weiner's final New York conference, holding court with reporters and demanding an apology from Weiner -- while Weiner waited to attend his own press conference.
Goldberg recalled how one of Breitbart's favorite pastimes was to retweet the nasty things other people said about him. "He considered it a badge of honor," Goldberg said.
Breitbart's final tweet, posted shortly before he was reported to have died, typified the combative and blunt tone he took with his online debaters. "I called you a putz cause I thought you were being intentionally disingenuous. If not I apologize," he wrote to the individual he had been arguing with.
News of Breitbart's death reverberated on Capitol Hill and on the presidential campaign trail. Rick Santorum said he was "crestfallen."
"What a powerful force," Santorum said. "What a huge loss, in my opinion, for our country and certainly for the conservative movement."
Breitbart is survived by his wife Susannah Bean Breitbart, 41, and four children.

"Act Of Valor " ~ Official Trailer
When the rescue of a kidnapped CIA operative leads to the discovery of a deadly terrorist plot against the U.S., a team of SEALs is dispatched on a worldwide manhunt. As the valiant men of Bandito Platoon race to stop a coordinated attack that could kill and wound thousands of American civilians, they must balance their commitment to country, team and their families back home.
'Act of Valor' uses active duty U.S. Navy Seals as actors. The characters they play are fictional, but the weapons and tactics used are real.

Americans Give their Thanks to SEALs, ‘Act of Valor’
“Valor,” which raked in $24.5 million over the weekend, cast active-duty Navy SEALs in an action film that pays tribute to the sacrifices made by these elite fighting forces.
Part of the movie’s marketing campaign involves everyday citizens sending in their video salutes to these soldiers. That, plus the positive word of mouth currently building around the film, means “Valor” should enjoy another hearty box office tally this weekend.
Rush Limbaugh on " Act of Valor" : "Folks, this movie, I'm gonna tell you, is unlike anything you've seen. It's real Navy SEALs in a fictional story, intrigue, terrorism, worldwide terrorism. It is just one of the best war movies I've ever seen. I sat in my seat stunned when it was over. You've got to see it. Folks, when you watch this, and those of us who went to see it over the weekend, I know this is true, you're gonna wish that you had the ability to rewind it and watch things again. You're gonna wish that you had it on DVD. You're gonna want to go back and see it again to watch some of the things they do in this movie, Act of Valor. Just unbelievably amazing flick. It's obvious that they're not trained actors, but it adds to it. It adds to the realism of it all. I mean there are stunt people in this movie, but all the exercises performed are actual exercises and tactics that SEALs are trained to do and perform. I've never seen half of them. There's no action adventure movie -- I mean, they do impossible things in like Mission Impossible. This is real stuff that I have never seen done before. "
I just got an e-mail. I said I wasn't gonna talk about Act of Valor anymore. I got an e-mail from my buddy Mark Hasara, retired Lieutenant Colonel from the US Air Force, who overwhelmed me one day by flying a flag in his tanker and six other aircraft in the original invasion of Iraq in 2003. He FedExed it to me just out of the blue with the certificates of all the aircraft and a letter explaining it all. I was blown away by it. I've become his friend. He sent me a note about Act of Valor, said, "I've been listening with interest to your commentary on the movie. The first thing which came to my mind was that these are not actors and this is not acting and this is what it looks like in real life for the team."
Wild Thing's comment.........
I am so glad Rush talked about it on his show. I hope this film gets a ton of support. Too many do not realize how much our military does and goes through.

Former President Clinton: ‘We Should Embrace’ The Keystone Pipeline (video)
Former President Clinton: ‘We Should Embrace’ The Keystone Pipeline
"One of the best things about being a former president is that you can say whatever the heck you want." This is at the energy innovation summit in Washington.
Former President Bill Clinton said the federal government should embrace the Keystone XL pipeline that the Obama administration rejected last month. Clinton also said that one of the “best things” about being out of office is “you can say whatever the heck you want.”
“One of the most amazing things to me about this Keystone pipeline deal is that they ever filed that route in the first place since they could’ve gone around the Nebraska Sandhills and avoided most of the danger, no matter how imagined, to the Ogallala with a different route, which I presume we’ll get now, because the extra cost of running it is infinitesimal compared to the revenues that will be generated over a long period of time,” he said Wednesday at the Energy Innovation Summit.
“So, I think we should embrace it and develop a stakeholder-driven system of high standards for doing the work.”
Clinton’s wife, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, would have to approve the pipeline since it crosses international borders.
Wild Thing's comment........
Can't you just imagine Obaam's blood boiling hearing this.

Barack Obama Promises to Veto Bill That Will Provide Water To Central California Drought Region
Barack Obama Promises to Veto Bill That Will Provide Water To Central California Drought Region
A federal judge ruled on in December 2010 that the liberal study that forced California officials to cutback on water to the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta was based on faulty science.
Despite this Barack Obama said he would veto any Congressional bill that would “reverse the progress” (drought) in the San Joaquin Valley.
The Administration strongly opposes H.R. 1837, the Sacramento-San Joaquin Valley Water Reliability Act because the bill would unravel decades of work to forge consensus, solutions, and settlements that equitably address some of California’s most complex water challenges.
H.R. 1837 would undermine five years of collaboration between local, State, and Federal stakeholders to develop the Bay-Delta Conservation Plan. It would codify 20-year old, outdated science as the basis for managing California’s water resources, resulting in inequitable treatment of one group of water users over another. And, contrary to 100 years of reclamation law that exhibits congressional deference to State water law, the bill would preempt California water law.
The bill also would reject the long-standing principle that beneficiaries should pay both the cost of developing water supplies and of mitigating any resulting development impacts, and would exacerbate current water shortages by repealing water pricing reforms that provide incentives for contractors to conserve water supplies.
Finally, H.R. 1837 would repeal the San Joaquin River Settlement Agreement, which the Congress enacted to resolve 18 years of contentious litigation. Repeal of the settlement agreement would likely result in the resumption of costly litigation, creating an uncertain future for river restoration and water delivery operations for all water users on the San Joaquin River.
The Administration strongly supports efforts to provide a more reliable water supply for California and to protect, restore, and enhance the overall quality of the Bay-Delta environment. The Administration has taken great strides toward achieving these co-equal goals through a coordinated Federal Action Plan, which has strengthened collaboration between Federal agencies and the State of California while achieving solid results. Unfortunately, H.R. 1837 would undermine these efforts and the progress that has been made. For this reason, were the Congress to pass H.R. 1837, the President’s senior advisors would recommend that he veto the bill.
Wild Thing's comment...... More and more produce is being imported from Mexico and South America even to those in Calif. The libs prefer that our country import produce, instead of growing our own…and that’s what’s going on The Central Valley are the Spartans, fighting the good fight against the evil libs! The libs have been effectively choking the life out of the conservatives .

The Central Valley is heavily Conservative, except for the cities with Universities in them (Fresno, Merced,…). It is like an isle of Conservatism in an ocean of liberalism.
