Happy Birthday Rhod!
Wishing you all the best. My prayers and wishes for your 3 son’s for their safety and with gratitude for what they are doing.
Nick
Thank you AOS. Two of them will be home on midtour leave in a week or so, so I don’t know what to expect.
As for the B’Day, it’s also my wife’s birthday, although with a difference of ten years. On this day in 1955 I got a Gene Autry cowboy hat and boots and far away someone important was being born.
Life is so strange it makes my head hurt.
Happy Birthday Rhod and Happy Birthday to your wife too. Now how cool is that to have your birthdays on the same day, same month.
Laugh, hug and celebrate you have a wonderful family Rhod and it is an honor to know you.
Best wishes and a happy birthday to you and your wife. I enjoy reading your writings and raise a glass to toast you both.
Please tell your sons their service is much appreciated.
Hmm. Old ancient Fart? TomR, sixty-one is the new forty, therefore I’m younger than my wife. Now where’s that glucosamine?
And I appreciate, very much, the wishes for the boys. The myth about old men sending young men off to war isn’t true this time around. These guys went on their own, and so did their comrades.
All of us here will outlive our enemies. Thank you WT, and all the other fine people on this blog.
You’re absolutely right Rhod. Every man and woman wearing the uniform of the United States Armed Forces is a VOLUNTEER. They went on their own, knowing the dangers and the risks. You’ve got to love those young men and women who believe in something more than themselves.
Happy Birthday Rhod and Happy Birthday to your wife too. I’m only a few months older but can relate to the glucosamine and a few other arthritis meds. Think young, stay young and have many more happy birthdays with those wonderful sons.

Happy Birthday Rhod. Enjoy the day.
Happy Birthday to you Rhod, and many, many more to come!
Golly Rhod, you are my age. YOU OLD ANCIENT FART!!
Happy Birthday!
My prayers and gratitude to your three fine sons also.
