Gun Shops Running Low On Ammunition

Gun Shops Running Low On Ammunition
Gun shops are running low on ammunition from a run by customers fearful of potential gun-control legislation, according to gun retailers and customers.
Prices have more than doubled over past year in some shops, retailers are putting limits on the amount a customer can buy, and some common types of ammunition, such as .22-caliber long rifle shells, are hard to get.
The National Shooting Sports Foundation, which represents ammunition makers, retailers, hunters and sport shooters, attributes what it calls “spot shortages” around the country to rising popularity of sport-shooting and hunting, and to people who are “keeping firearms for personal and home defense.”

It is very telling that all the gun and ammo sales have happened because of Obama being president. It speaks volumes how bad he is for our country and how concerned we the people are about his agenda.

Citizens all over America are arming themselves.

Ammo is the weak link of firearms rights. In the late 70’s Carter required citizens to have to register handgun ammo purchases. That was a hassle and intrusion of our privacy. Thankfully Carter was dumped and Reagan then killed that ammo registration. But, the Feds can go after ammo manufacturers and again require registration of ammo by consumers. They can ban certain calibers under the auspices of common use by criminals. They could ban possession of reloading components such as powder and primers. These are all tactics that have either been proposed or tried by the Feds before.
I have a lifetime stock of ammo. However, I bought more back in Sept. before the election because I had a good idea of what the results would be, Also I wanted to buy ammo because it was still my freedom to be able to do so. Now ammo is very limited, bare shelves and high prices. It will take at least a year to get back to near normal. One little blip, like a terrorist attack, a domestic riot or new Federal restrictions could make normal ammo supply a thing of the past.
