There is a local station here in Dallas/Ft Worth that plays hit tunes mostly from the ’50s, but also from the ’40s and ’60s. This tune pops up often, especially at Christmas time. The rendition it plays is done by Tex Ritter. I think the original was done by T. Texas Tyler. Both of these as well as Wink Martindale’s are well done and inspiring. Glad to see another artist is keeping this going for a new generation.
