Twenty-five years ago today, Ronald Reagan was sworn in as the 40th President of the United States of America.
President Reagan walked the high ground and
stayed the course. I am forever thankful for his strengths
and knowing the cost of our Freedom and NOT allowing others
to change their calling.

It’s a great day to look back and recognize the lessons that Reagan taught us. History has proven him to be RIGHT.

I enlisted in 1973 and up though 1980 there wasn’t a lot of pride in being a member of the military. Us young guys tried to keep our hair as long as possible so we could look like our civilian counterparts and blend in. The post Vietnam and Jimmy Carter years was a time that the military was looked down upon by the American Public. It climaxed when we turned our back on the Shaw of Iran and the fanatics that took over that nation attacked our Embassy, held our people hostage, and embarrassed the United States. Our hollow force military with it’s “everyone needs a piece of the action attitude” failed miserably in a hostage rescue attempt, leaving behind fallen Americans in its hurry to retreat. Then came Ronald Reagan.
Ronald Reagan brought pride back to the military. We were once again proud to wear our uniforms in public. The young GI’s wanted to look military again, after all, we were American’s best, not the dudes still living off mom and dad. President Reagan rebuilt our military forces and instilled in the American Public a respect of its Armed Forces. Our forces, although separate, began training to fight as one. We became the most powerful force and nation the world has ever known. Yes, Ronald Reagan is the greatest President this nation has ever had and possibly will ever have.
