I can't fathom the ignorance of people who actually believe that holding the aid caused death on the battle field. Yet I know ignorant Progressives that believe that actual thing. Even if the aid was never held up and actually give early, those same exact men would have died on the battlefield. By time any military aid transcends down to the battlefield, months have literally passed. So, unless those dollar bills were secret weapons that when thrown at the enemy causes them instant death while making the thrower invincible to bullets and bombs, money would have done nothing.
