Keeping Texas The Beacon of Opportunity
Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) has released a web video with highlights from his recent State of the State tour across Texas. The video, which is titled, “Keeping Texas The Beacon Of Opportunity,” features footage from his visits to Houston and Midland.
“As the sun rises on 2015, the State of Texas is strong and together, we are about to make it even stronger. Our fellow Texans face many challenges,” says Abbott in the video. “Working together, we will succeed and we will keep Texas the beacon state in the United States of America.”
The video lists some of the priorities that Abbott identified during his first State of the State address last month, including education, transportation, reducing the business franchise tax, border security, health care, and ethics reform. As Breitbart Texas reported, Abbott’s speech won praise from both Texas’ political leaders and grassroots conservative activists.

What a great governor. We are lucky, and blessed, to have many great people in elected state office here in Texas.
