Here's Leno and GW Bush on the Tonight Show. Bush told folks how Leno had been helping Wounded Warriors down in Texas with him.
One of my good friends just returned from Afghanistan. He met Leno there and he said Leno is a genuine great guy who went out of his way to cheer up a bunch of homesick GI's.
If you watched the Tonight Show, during Obama's second term, Leno let up quite a bit on the Bush jokes but started hammering Obama quite hard. I think that's the reason NBC wanted him off the Tonight Show. He left the plantation and they needed someone, Fallon, who would fall in line with the networks agenda.

Leno is one of the good guys.
