Vet Slams Rep Paul Ryan In Open Letter Over Military Budget Cut
Wild Thing's comment............
This is the best way of all, when a Veteran speaks out. The Veterans and troops are the most qualified on this, because what they say IMO means more then some unknown and civilian like myself. God bless this Veteran.

He's a retired USAF Chief Master Sergeant.
Paul Ryan got himself some publicity he didn't want. My congresswoman, Vicki Hartzler, also voted for this piece of garbage. She was supposedly one of the Tea Party congressman elected in 2010. It sure didn't take her long to get sucked into the GOP.

I did volunteer work back in the mid 70's for a US congressman, a Dem. He was also a social friend. When I began working for him he was very conservative. In those days in Texas and the South many Dems were quite conservative. Anyway, he got completely carried away by the power and trappings of the office. His wife even more so. She no longer referred to her husband by his given name but called him, "The Congressman".
He bragged about the perks of office and boasted of who he had met. He did not become aloof, but he became almost childish. Like a 6yr old on Christmas morn. Anyway, he won his first reelection, but lost his second reelection bid. I quit working for him because he was one of the Dem majority that voted in 1974 to cut aid to South Vietnam thus guaranteeing their demise by North Vietnam.
