Obama says will push immigration after fiscal crisis over
Barack Obama said on Tuesday that stalled immigration reform would be a top priority once the fiscal crisis has been resolved.
"Once that's done, you know, the day after, I'm going to be pushing to say, call a vote on immigration reform," he told the Los Angeles affiliate of Spanish-language television network Univision.
The president's domestic agenda has been sidetracked in his second term by one problem after another. As he coped with the revelation of domestic surveillance programs, chemical weapons in Syria, and a fiscal battle that has shut down the U.S. government and threatens a debt default, immigration has been relegated to the back burner.
But Obama, who won re-election with overwhelming Hispanic backing, had hoped to make reforms easing the plight of the 11 million immigrants who are in the United States illegally.
Wild Thing's comment............
Ho hum it is always rinos and the left that want to push amnesty. Either our laws mean something or they don't.

I'm beginning to wonder if there is any hope for this country. The most inept failure this nation has ever had as a president was reelected. Supposed smart politicians in the Democrat party are supporting his policies to not only bring this nation to its knees but to enslave the American people. All these politicians care about is power and ruling at the expense of the Republic. With so many Americans now dependent upon the government for their needs and government policies forcing industry overseas, will we ever recover? Can we hope to see a recovery in our lifetime? Everything our forefathers worked and died for is vanishing right before our eyes. Maybe it's time to move to Montana or Texas and push for succession?

The budget/debt ceiling crisis has kept amnesty and gun control below the radar screen of too many people...

Once amnesty is passed there will no longer be even a fakery left of border security. The entire third world will stampede here for all the freebies. The entire country will be like the Louisiana Walmarts were last week.
