GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy: The Senate Immigration Amensty Bill “is Not Going to be Voted on in the House”; “We are a Nation of Immigrants, but We are also a Nation of Laws”
South Carolina GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy saying flatly that the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill passed by the U.S. Senate “is not going to be voted on in the House of Representatives.” Period. Gowdy said it has been 27 years since the last Comprehensive Immigration Bill passed and there is no reason to rush now to pass a bad bill. Instead, Gowdy said the House would “work its will” and pass its own legislation that is focused on Border Security and dealing with the issues needed to be addressed.
