Unfortunately.
It looks like 'we' as a country are going to have to get our collective hand, burned on the "burner of life" to understand the perils and pitfalls of totalitarianism. There WILL be a tipping point.
Only then it might just be too late.
As we've seen, once acquired, the liberal fascists do not give up power easily.
I cry tears for the future of my country.
