Krauthammer: Obama is “Not Trying to Fix our Fiscal Issues. . . He’s Trying to Destroy the Republicans”
Fox News’ “Special Report” tonight, Charles Krauthammer could not be more right in saying that President Barack Obama is not really trying to deal with the “Fiscal Cliff.” He’s “trying to destroy the Republicans.”
“He’s not trying to fix our fiscal issues and problems. He’s trying to destroy the Republicans by insisting that there is a split among the Republicans on this issue which has held them together, the same way it destroyed President Bush Senior when he went back on the pledge he made. This is a political attack on the Republicans. There is no evidence right now that he has any interest in the real fiscal issue because he would have to talk about spending and entitlements and he isn’t.”
Krauthammer pointed out that Obama’s vaunted tax increase on the evil rich is really nothing. It will only reduce the annual budget deficit from $1.10 Trillion to 1.02 Trillion, which Krauthammer called “nothing,” “lunch money,” a “rounding error,” and “a triviality.” Only be dealing with entitlements can the nation’s fiscal mess be dealt with – something which Obama and the Democrats are totally unwilling to do. After all – it’s how they win elections. They have zero incentive to reduce entitlements.

I wish they would quit calling Social Security and entitlement because it's not. It's my money that was taken from me. I did the math. If every penny that was taken from me for Social Security since I was a teenager was put into, say, secured CD's , I would be almost a millionaire by now and that doesn't include my employers contributions. Include that money and I would be wealthy.
Nobody is talking how Bill Clinton stole from the Social Security trust fund to balance the budget. He did it by taking from the people who trusted him to watch over it.

obama bullshits about economics and bases it on social issues. The Senate under Harry Reid avoids passing a budget for three years straight. Boehner in the House can't decide if he is a conservative, a moderate or just a cry baby. Yep! America is rolling right along the economic highway and passing the last milemarker before the "fiscal cliff".
Bob - I think robbing the SS Trust Fund was started by LB(frigg'n)J to pay for The Great Society. That same great social engineering fiasco that gave us LBJ's 100 thousand draftees during VN and which has also given us a generation of obama voters.
