And more........................
Welch Allyn, a company that manufactures medical diagnostic equipment in central New York, announced in September that they would be laying off
275 employees, or roughly 10% of their workforce over the next three years. One of the major reasons discussed for the layoffs was a proactive response to the Medical Device Tax mandated by the new healthcare law.
Dana Holding Corp.
As recently as a week ago, a global auto parts manufacturing company in Ohio known as Dana Holding Corp., warned their employees of potential layoffs, citing "$24 million over the next six years in additional U.S. health care expenses". After laying off several white collar staffers, company insiders have hinted at more to come. The company will have to cover the additional $24 million cost somehow, which will likely equate to numerous cuts in their current workforce of 25,500 worldwide.
Stryker
One of the biggest medical device manufacturers in the world, Stryker will close their facility in Orchard Park, New York, eliminating 96 jobs in December. Worse, they plan on countering the medical device tax in Obamacare by slashing 5% of their global workforce - an estimated 1,170 positions.

Wild Thing's comment................
Obama and his Obamacare and the EPA regulations have all caused all of this. He and he alone is to blame.
Note how many if not most of the companies deal with medical devices.

My sister and her husband are small business owners who employ about 22 people. I spoke with her last night and she said they're going to have to do something they've never had to do in 25 years and that was to cut back operating hours and not hire replacements as employees quit...they employ a number of college students who leave after school lets out.

This is an amazing video: Election and the Single Young Woman. Listen when this guy interviews these young women about who they voted for and why.

Chrissie - that list is just starting it's launch off the pad. I really fear that we will have a bona fied depression before obama's second term is over. Maybe he is hoping and planning on it so he can attempt to stay in office. Watch for him to do all he can to drive America much further into debt which will put us well into depression territory.
Bob - nothing surprising. Young women have been indoctrinated to believe they are somehow surpressed and a minority. Everybody in America is a supressed minority except the White Anglo male. No one else needs to be responsible for their choices or behavior. Just blame it on White Anglo males. I have gone beyond the Give a Damn stage. Now I just make myself as comfy as possible in my senior years.
