Twisted Obama Pushing Food Stamps in Latest Ad Campaign: “They Make You Look Good”
Obama wants more people on food stamps.
A new ad campaign urges people to sign up, telling them, “They make you look good.” ecause one out of seven Americans on food stamps is not enough.
More than one in seven Americans are on food stamps, but the federal government wants even more people to sign up for the safety net program.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture has been running radio ads for the past four months encouraging those eligible to enroll. The campaign is targeted at the elderly, working poor, the unemployed and Hispanics.
The department is spending between $2.5 million and $3 million on paid spots, and free public service announcements are also airing. The campaign can be heard in California, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, and the New York metro area.
“Research has shown that many people — particularly underserved seniors, working poor, and legal immigrants — do not understand the requirements of the program,” said Kevin Concannon, a USDA under secretary.
The radio ads, which run through June 30, come amid a bitter partisan fight over the safety net program. Republican lawmakers want to reduce funding for the benefit or turn it into a block grant program, which would also minimize the cost. Democrats, however, are not willing to make major cuts.

Obama has a totally twisted thinking, of course it is socialism all the way. But twisted to think this kind of ad is uplifting and has anything to do with what the American dream is about. He is foreign to everything about our country.

I did this post about something I learned about food stamps a couple weeks back. I'll re-post it here.
I got pissed off today. Some meth-head was in the store, upset because he couldn’t figure out how to get his hands out of his pockets or some stupid thing, so he threw some receipts he had on the floor and left. I picked them up to throw away and one caught my eye. It was from a grocery store and it said “Food Stamps” on it, so I looked it over. What I read, pissed me off. I had no idea the kind of benefits these welfare slugs get through Food Stamps.
I take care of my elderly mothers finances for her. She’s worked since she was 16 and has paid into Social Security all her working life. She lives on a pittance of Social Security and her benefits were cut by NY State so she could contribute more to her Part B Medicare. She also qualifies for and gets a whopping $15 per month is Food Stamps.
I mention that about my mother to compare what this welfare slug meth-head gets. The store receipts gave the last four digest of his EBT (Food Stamps) card which I won’t post. His balance on his card was broken down to this:
Cash Benefits Balance….$175
Foodstamps Balance……$521
This just utterly pissed me off to no end. Not only do they get to buy food with this EBT card, they can also use it to get cash. This is us, the taxpayers, giving our hard earned money to people who don’t and won’t work while people who contributed to it all their lives and need it, can’t get it.
Oh yea, guess what we bought this slug with our money today? Coke, beef jerky, and grape drink. Some real nourishment for him and his family. And, they are exempt from sales tax when using their Food Stamps so they’re not even giving back to the system they suck off of.

Any questions regarding how the Progressive wing of the Government, AKA the Democratic Party, desires to control every facet of our lives and keep us under their control,can now be put to rest.
Bob F.'s response is especially damning, and it indicates how corrupt and mismanaged Government Welfare programs are.
About thirty years ago, many Consevatives were talking about the danger of, "Creeping Socialism".
It is no longer creeping. Thanks to Obama and the Congress, it is moving forward at the speed of an Indianapolis Race Car.
