If you were to look up the definition of a true American Patriot in the dictionary, you would find a picture of Lt. Col Allen West. If more congressmen served in combat like him, this was would have been over a long time ago.

We are reaping the "benefits" of a generation of people who have never had to register for the draft, much less serve in any capacity.

The children of the "Flower Children" of the 60's and 70's, have now ascended to the halls of Congress and even the Oval Office.

It comes as no surprise that these folks look at the Military as unimportant, when compared to the wonderful "social programs", that do so much to improve and protect our way of life.

Just yesterday I read an article about the US Army and DOD considering caving in to PC and allowing women to be allowed in Ranger school. Huh? The article also stated that 16% of the US Army is female. The pussification of American males is almost complete. We have a relatively small military and a nation of 330M. We have to take females into the military because we cannot get sufficient numbers of males? Shit. I have nothing against the females, but every criticism of American males AND the education system and culture that fails to instill a sense of duty and patriotism and also belittles military service. We now have families with three or four generations of no male serving in the military. At the same time we have an undermanned military with people in the combat arms serving up to five or six combat tours. Yeah, occassional flag waving patriotism is cheap when someone else pays for it.

Allen West is a gem. He does not hesitate to say what needs to be said and he says it in a strong but articulate manner. Wish we had more like him in Congress.
