18 Hours Of Fighting The Taliban in Kabul

The Taliban launched a series of coordinated attacks across the Afghan capital and at least three eastern provinces on Sunday, targeting NATO bases, parliament and foreign embassies in a complex assault. (April 15)

Every time I read something like this, I immediately think of Obama's ROE's which prevent our troops from doing their jobs.
If it weren't for those restrictions, there is a good chance that the Taliban would not be able to launch such widespread assaults.
We and our allies would be attacking them, to hell with the "collateral damage".

Kinda like a mini version of the 68 Tet Offensive in Vietnam. Probably the same results. Total military failure by the insurgents, but a gullible press reporting it as a destabilizing factor for the friendly forces.
