Obama Asks Iran Pretty Please Can We Have Our Drone Back
Obama was thrown slightly during his joint presser w/ the Iraqi PM today when asked about the situation with Iran and our downed drone.
Looks like his Iran talking points weren’t loaded into the teleprompter. However, he did manage to spit out the fact that we “asked” Iran for the drone back.
Wild Thing's comment......
Sorry but LOL..... can you imagine if this was Rick Perry and how he would handle this. He sure as hell would not be weak and say pretty please can we have the drone back.
Meanwhile, communist China, Russia and whatever country wants who knows.....can possibly get whatever top secret information off our out of it.
Obama is nice to Iran then he is to Americans. He threatens us, attacks American citizens, sues States like AZ. over trying to obey immigration laws etc. But with Iran he turns to mush.

Can we have our drone back? I imagine they got quite a good laugh over that.
This whole thing doesn't set well with me...it stinks! Something about this just isn't right.

...I agree with BobF-I thought that these drones were designed to be destroyed by remote control or to self-destruct to prevent them from falling into enemy hands. Was someone asleep at the switch? There is a missing piece in this puzzle. Can anyone abroad respect a country that fails to send the flea-bagger "occutards" home after weeks and weeks? I am not advocating a Tiennemin square style response to OWS and I am aware that this is not suuposed to be a federal concern but how can the Iranians, the Nor-Kos, Russia, Bupkistan, Al Quida, or other potential threats respect a power that seemingly cannot make a handfull of rabble in our cities disperse? "Occupation" is not peaceful assembly. Imagine how this makes us look.......

Why, oh why, do we seem to have so much trouble protecting our intel resources? This goes back decades. The USS Pueblo, the EC-121 shoot down near Korea, the USS Liberty, the P3 Orion forced to land on Red Chinese soil and now the capture intact of a recon drone. All these incidents show an inability, or lack of resolve, or lack of forethought on the part of our intel folks to have a plan B in place.
The USS Pueblo should have been covered by naval warships, should have been scuttled and should have resulted in reprisal strikes against the N. Koreans.
The USS Liberty should have been covered by aircraft from a carrier task force in the region. LBJ did not have the gonads to shoot down Israeli aircraft. We should have.
The shootdown of the EC-121 should have resulted in the destruction of N. Korean military targets.
The P3 Orion should have never landed on Chinese soil. It should have been flown over one of the nearby US naval vessels and the crew bail out. That is what they are paid for. Not to land on enemy soil and give that enemy some of our high tech intel gathering gear.
Why did this drone not have a self destruct system in place? If it did, why was it not used? Too many people in the intel business, both military and civilian, and too many presidents/Defense Secs. have not shown the foresight or gonads necessary to protect our intel gathering sources.
