Herman Cain
Krauthammer: Herman Cain "Is Winging It," He Needs To Get The Story Straight or He's In Deep Trouble
.
“I think he should be prepared for things like this because he’s a serious presidential candidate. In fact what gets me, is look, I’ve talked to people in the news business today and they say this has been going around for at least 10 days. I find it hard to believe that the campaign didn’t know this was coming and was a badly prepared as they were. You don’t start out by saying there’s nothing to this whatsoever and then go into we don’t know anything about and then go yes I know it but I didn’t do it.”
UPDATE: Herman Cain told Greta Van Susteren tonight that his campaign had known that Politico was going to publish the hit piece since October 20th.
.
Wild Thing's comment........
I did not post about this till today. I honestly wanted to wait until we at least heard from Cain.
What I do not like are the flip flops. Cain was on various shows yesterday and his story changed several tiems.
Other then Cain's flip flops on this, does anyone else think this stinks of Romney???? Remember how he did this??
Fred Thompson smears traced back to Mitt Romney
Romney smears Rudy
Romney misleads on Huskabee record etc.
there are links just below the main article.

And this..............
And here is another one about Romney using surrogates to undercut Sarah Palin Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers, some of whom are currently working for Sen. John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin's bid for the White House, have been involved in spreading ant-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election. "Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012," says one former Romney aide, now working for McCain-Palin. "The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney. He's in charge on November 5th."
Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a "diva" and was going off message intentionally. The former and current Romney supporters further are pushing Romney supporters for key Republican jobs, including head of the Republican National Committee.

I think that is giving Romney a little too much credit. This smacks of Moveon.org and the Obama White House. Cain scares the hell out of Obama. A real Black man having the balls to challenge the Mulatto.

Romney has a reputation as a dirty player. He also has a reputation as a flip-flopper and a liberal rino. I pray I don't have to vote for him in the general election.
I think Cain is now learning the hard way just how dirty that politics can be. He is also learning just how biased against conservatives the MSM is. I remember the media attack on Clarence Thomas vs. Anita Hill, yet the media gave Bill Clinton a walk against sexual attack allegations by numerous women and his blatant lie and perjury in the Monica Lewenski affair.
Karl Rove. I never liked the guy. A professional political hanger on. Many of George Bush's staff disappointed me. Rove and Cheney were the two I disliked the most. They were constantly referred to as "tough guys". Both avoided military service.

Exactly. Let's all try to stick to evaluating candidates for the job expected of presidents. These personal attacks are to be expected, but let's not let them distract us.

I don't think Romney would do this. Too much to lose. Think about it. IF he did it and it came out he did, then it would be played out in the general against a BLACK POTUS than Romney is racist look what he did to Cain.
The other reason is simple:
Romney is the media darling to take on Obama in the general. BECAUSE it takes Obamacare off the table for discussion. Romney's albatross. It also puts RACE back ON the table.
Cain winning the nomination, takes the Race Card OFF the table and puts Obamacare ON THE TABLE. The media is picking our candidates for us if we let them.

Romney did a piss poor job administering Massachusetts as Governor but it is right that this is not like him.
It is however SOP for Berry Obama who disqualified every opponent he had until he ran for President. When he ran for Illinois state senate of course he lost but the second time he got his opponent removed from the ballot. When he ran for the US Senate suddenly the Los Angeles divorce testimony of Jeri Ryan from ten years back got leaked. Her ex-husband was knocked out of the race leaving to Obama to beat the last minute candidate that the Republicans had to move to the state. This Cain Scandal is Obama SOP.
Of course the MSM will try and divert blame to one of the Republicans that is their SOP.
