U.S. "Hikers" Left Wing Activists Josh Fattal and Shane Bauer Released From Iranian Prison
"The only explanation for our prolonged detention is the 32 years of mutual hostility between American and Iran. The irony is Sarah Josh and I oppose U.S. policies towards Iran which perpetuate this hostility. We were convicted of espionage, because we are American," said Bauer. He continued, "It’s that simple. No evidence was ever presented against us. That it because there is no evidence and because we are completely innocent."
They also thanked their lawyer, Masoud Shafiee, and to world leaders and individuals instrumental to championing their cause, including His Majesty Sultan Qaboos of Oman, the Swiss Ambassador in Tehran, U.N. Secretary-General Ban ki-Moon, Iraqi President Jalal Talibani, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, the governments of Turkey and Brazil, actor Sean Penn, Muhammad Ali, singer Yusuf Islam, Cyndi Sheehan, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and the U.S. government officials who worked for their release.
Here is the article, I made my own title for this post as I feel it is much more fitting for these two jerks.

Wild Thing's comment........
"hikers thank Hugo Chavez, Noam Chomsky, Cindy Sheehan"....WTH
Can we send them back? Only a leftist would be hiking there anyway. Time to stop wasting time and money rescuing idiots from themselves.
I never believed these three were just hiking and lost their way.

"...comparable conditions at Guantanamo Bay, CIA prisons, and prisons in the U.S."
Their 15 minutes have expired.
These two looking-for-trouble American hikers who ignored U.S. State Department travel advisories to Iran, left out Jimmy Carter to whom the nexus of failed modern day Iranian-American relations originates with the betrayal and abandonment of Shah Reza Pahlavi three and half decades ago for "humanitarian reasons".
Here is Carter with the Shah in Tehran in 1977:

Years from now, failed Egyptian-American relations will be centered around this President's betrayal and abandonment of Anwar Sadat's successor Hosni Mubarak for "humanitarian reasons".

It does make you wonder what they were doing there.

Good point Carlos. Carter showed the Arab world the US can't be trusted to stand by its friends and Obama just enforced that when he threw Mobarak under the bus.

It just reminds me of Howard Dean's older brother and the Roe effect.
Howard Dean's family is light on brains but despite how many times the MSM tells us what a leading intellectual light he is we already knew that. The inability of liberals to care for themselves is one of the big factors of the Roe effect. The Roe effect which includes the liberal tendency to abort their children as well as to get killed leads to a more conservative electorate every four years and is the driver the liberals' need to import ever greater numbers of uneducated third world idiots whom they can fool.
Back in the seventies after December, 1974 when the Democrat Controlled Congress cut off supplies to Vietnam and after Saigon was evacuated at the beginning of May 1975 but years before the war between the Chinese and Soviet communist ended Howard Dean's older brother and another twenty something idiot decided the Indochina war must be over and to hike from Bangkok, Thailand to Hanoi, Vietnam. They got into Laos and were executed about half way across that country.
The percentage of foreign born nationals in the population is now higher than it has been since 1920! That is what got Obama elected! The Iranians are clearly acting to protect and preserve the population of American suicidally stupid liberals.

these guys are leftists(likely activists), i know it by looking at them for a second. i want to know this, what is their record before all this?? i believe that is the key to their true intensions. i would guess that almadeenajaad was close to right. they likely wanted to assist those apposed to the current government.

Now they can pick up their Code Pink banners and go back to their tree perches at Berkeley.

Lost my internet and had no computer for awhile and all my links and stuff (have Carbonite now)...been a rocky couple of years financially, but time is nearing to do battle again..lol...that's what it feels like anyway. Hope to catch up soon. Love you all! PS I don't believe anything these "hikers" are saying. I think they've been to Imadinnerjackets espionage school.

They seem to complain about the Iranian government and also complain about the US government's relations with Iran. We have that relationship because the Iranian government is evil and we are not. They want the US to be more friendly? I do not understand, they must be brainless liberals to be so confusing.
