95 year old Woman Forced to Remove Adult Diaper During TSA Patdown
The Transportation Security Administration stood by its security officers Sunday after a Florida woman complained that her cancer-stricken, 95-year-old mother was patted down and forced to remove her adult diaper while going through security.
The 95-year-old woman was flying to Michigan from Florida to be with family during final stages of her battle with leukemia. The daughter says her mother was stopped at a TSA checkpoint for 45 minutes. During the pat-down, TSA agents "felt something suspicious" inside the adult diaper and "could not complete the security check without the Depends off." The TSA released a statement Sunday defending its agents' actions at the Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport.
"While every person and item must be screened before entering the secure boarding area, TSA works with passengers to resolve security alarms in a respectful and sensitive manner," the federal agency said. "We have reviewed the circumstances involving this screening and determined that our officers acted professionally and according to proper procedure."
Jean Weber told CNN's Fredricka Whitfield on Sunday that the security officers may have been procedurally correct, but she still does not believe they were justified, especially given her mother's frail condition.

This TSA situation is totally out of control. It’s become a pretext to institute an intrusive search procedures agenda on American citizens rather than to protect Americans from terrorists.

Once again we have some Cop Wannabe, with a plastic badge, exercising his power. This is the third incident in a week that defies logic. The other two involved a baby in a stroller and a child under the age of 10.
Because we have become such a sensitive Politically Correct Nation, we could never think of doing anything so radical as, "Racial Profiling". Heaven forbid, we might actually catch someone.
You're right WT now these folks have a Union. I wonder who will be paying for their Benefits and Retirement Pensions? Let me see, could that be you and I? I wonder....NOT.

..thay have a union and if I recall correctly in the early years of the TSA some wanted to make it a Federal felony to display "disrespect" or "contempt' for a TSA official (what does this mean-frown at one of them?). This fell by the wayside but with unionization, expect to see this idea take on a new life. Of course airport security is necessary but the "system' we have today has strayed from its original purpose and has taken on a life of its own-a cancer out of control. We need to junk the entire mess and implement a new system-yes , with profiling. Sorry CAIR!!!

this is an outrageous act upon an elderly american citizen.queen janet and her perv's masquerading as security guards are not only out of control but it's time for all american's to say enough is enough ! while elderly citizens are being stripped searched our borders remain wide open to be easily crossed due to the failed policies of the obama administration, terrorists , criminals , smugglers,drug caret members , as well as a host of others stroll across our border everyday while queen janet's thugs molest law abiding american citizens
