Speaker John Boehner: Obama’s Budget Will Destroy Jobs By “Spending Too Much, Borrowing Too Much and Taxing Too Much”
Barack Obama’s budget plan for 2012 would slash the deficit by $1.1 trillion over 10 years, officials said on Sunday, but Republicans were unimpressed and vowed to push for deeper cuts in spending.
White House budget director Jack Lew said the proposal to be unveiled on Monday puts the government on track to halve the budget deficit by the end of Obama’s first term in office, which extends through 2012.
“We are reducing programs that are important programs that we care about, and we’re doing what every family does when it sits around its kitchen table: we’re making the choices about what do we need for the future,” Lew said on CNN.
Republicans, who control the House of Representatives, said Obama’s proposed spending cuts would not do enough to rein in the growing federal deficit and promised their own plan would go further.
“He’s going to present a budget tomorrow that will continue to destroy jobs by spending too much, borrowing too much and taxing too much,” House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

We need a Tea Party the size of what we saw in Egypt. Can you imagine if that happened and everyone could show up in D.C.
Boehner did a good job on the show Sunday morning, he stayed strong and when they tried get him to cave on things he did not fall for it.

You can bet the Dems are already organizing rallies and events for the next two years to counter the Tea Party movement. We need the Repubs to hold steady on their course. No deals and no compromising with the Dems. Boehner looks good so far. Will he last?

They voted to repeal HC and that ended as expected. Now I want to see some serious spending cuts...Now.

Tom, good question about Boehner, I hope and pray he lasts. He has a quiet passion that is good for being Speaker. Not a screamer or attacker as much as a let's get the job done step by step kind of person so it seems anyway. He is getting attacked a lot at his Facebook page by the dems, they are really horrible to him.
