Sen. John McCain will not back Sarah Palin for president
Arizona U.S. Senator John McCain says he will not be backing any of the potential Republican presidential candidates as they look to defeat President Barack Obama in the 2012 election.
“I think I’m staying out of this for the first time in many years,” Mr. McCain told Politico on Thursday.
The comment comes as Mr. McCain returned from a one on one meeting with President Obama at the White House. The Arizona Republican said he viewed the meeting as a sign of increasing bipartisanship on Capitol Hill, adding that his meeting with the president was “cordial” and that Mr. Obama has become more of a “centrist.”
The announcement is likely a blow for former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. Ms. Palin, who ran with Mr. McCain during the 2008 presidential campaign, likely stood to benefit the most from a potential McCain endorsement.
The announcement that the Arizona U.S. Senator will not back a 2012 Republican presidential candidate comes as a number of potential Republican presidential candidates ramp up their schedules. It is expected a that a number of potential candidates will officially announce their candidacy in the upcoming weeks.

First the title of the article is stupid, because he goes on to say more then not backing Palin if she runs, he states he will not be backing ANY Republican that runs in 2012. Of course he won't he has been in love with Obama all the way back to when he ran for president. I never saw anyone try so hard NOT to get elected as we saw coming from traitor John McCain.
He is ia registered Republican, his party elected him again which does not speak well for AZ. Hello AZ. get a brain!
John McCain is a backstabbing, reptilian, treasonous, McRINO ingrate. Even during McCain’s campaign for the presidency he never stopped backing obama! So he will be voting for obama again.

I really don't think this will hurt Sarah Palin much...everyone who supported McCain in the last election did so because of Sarah, not very many were in love with John...
