2 Senators Agree To Sit Together For Obama's State of the Union Address ~ BAD IDEA!
2 Senators agree to sit together for Obama address
In a symbolic gesture toward more civil political discourse, Democratic Sen. Charles Schumer and Republican Sen. Tom Coburn said Sunday they will sit together at the upcoming State of the Union address.
Schumer says he and Coburn hope other lawmakers will follow their example and skip the partisan seating arrangements that usually come with joint sessions of Congress. Schumer says it’s a symbolic move but one he hopes will help set a more civil tone.
The State of the Union address is set for Jan. 25.
Wild Thing's comment........
Thereby validating the LIE that the Tucson shooter had anything to do with the political discourse.
And the GOP goes right along
Hmmmmm.....Are they gonna hold hands and sing Kumbaya, too?
Coburn is stupid for doing this!!! It signals a willingess to give the Dems what they want, and that the Republicans have no problem forgetting what 2010 election was about.
It is a democrat's idea to do this. Maybe so that when Obama gets to the scriped applause lines, it will look like the whole chamber is cheering.
I like the tradition of them sitting separately, and watching to see which parts of the speech get applauded by which sides?
I hope there is at least one GOP Senator that refuses to play along in this pathetic charade.

You can bet your life that any idea by Democrats is to make them and Obama look good.
You're absolutely right in that the Democrats are using this to validate the lie of politics being involved in the Tucson shooting. I thought Coburn had more sense.

Let's all hold hands and sing Joan Baez peace songs. That'll make everything swell. Right?
Nope, I'll continue to ignore civility until the lefturds of this nation realize that they are worthless. Could be a while but I've got time.

Does this mean Schummer will become a conservative? Oh well. It will give the talking heads something to rave about after the speech. I'm not watching.
I wonder how many SCOTUS will show up.

Doesn't it all seem to be about the picture, and perception? We know they don't get along, that's okay. But this Shari Lewis drill is sickening and manipulative!

The shit is starting to get deep again!
I like the Chief Justice and his approach. He is not going to be there after the way BHO was last year. I would encourage the entire court to not show up.
