Just One More Reason Why
by Colonel Bob Pappas, USMC, Retired
House of Representatives passage of the repeal of “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” (DADT) is one more reason why throwing out Democrats and liberal RINOs was well justified in the mid-term election. Just as they rammed Obamacare through despite opposition by the vast majority of Americans, that same group is now trying to cram repeal of the proscription against openly practicing sodomites in the Armed Forces down the throats of Americans.
To give their cause the appearance of credibility, one supposed former member of the Armed Forces, Representative Patrick Murphy, Democrat of Pennsylvania stated that he did not care whether a soldier wrote love letters home to his boyfriend or girlfriend, all he cared about was whether or not the soldier could kick down a door or could shoot straight. That mode of thinking raises the question about whether or not Murphy was aware of sexual proclivities of his soldiers; and, if he was aware of their breaking the military sodomy law, whether or not he had the integrity to enforce it.
Murphy’s comments suggest that he was aware but declined to do carry out his sworn duty to uphold the law. More likely, he’s making it up, i.e. he is deceiving his constituency, homosexuals, the Congress and the American people. What a great Representative!? And we wonder why the country is in trouble? People of Murphy’s ilk have already done enough damage, now they want Americans to figuratively, and perhaps literally “bend over!” Here’s a suggestion: Non-sodomite supporters, i.e. liberals, of repeal should get out there and lead by example; live it don’t just advocate for it! Think about it, even Oprah strongly defended against the rumor that she might be a lesbian. Coming from her, why do that if she sees nothing out of the ordinary with the behavior?
Present law stipulates that homosexuals may serve in the military services! The lame and trite claim that they somehow compromise their integrity by keeping their sexual proclivities to themselves is both a Red Herring and specious argument. If someone could explain how keeping one’s sexuality to oneself breaches integrity, that would be enlightening. They cannot, those who try engage in “liberal speak,” the oral expression of a mental disorder.
Assuming liberals in Congress repeal DADT and let that Pandora out of its box, would the Congress follow through and mandate revision of the UCMJ that proscribes sodomy and illicit sex? To do so seems logical enough.
UCMJ Article 125-Sodomy
“(a) Any person subject to this chapter who engages in unnatural carnal copulation with another person of the same or opposite sex or with an animal is guilty of sodomy. Penetration, however slight, is sufficient to complete the offense.
(b) Any person found guilty of sodomy shall by punished as a court-martial may direct.”
In the meantime, the next objective of homosexual advocates would be to permit mutually consenting same-sex partners to engage in sex in the “privacy” of their barracks rooms and it follows, to be married. Using repeal of DADT as their vehicle, advocates for the oxymoron would attempt to then attempt to cram “homosexual marriage” though the Congress because it would no longer make sense to allow homosexuals to ostensibly practice it in the Armed Forces (while “defending” the country) and not allow them to “marry.”
An honest assessment of a lesser but likewise ill-advised action on the part of the Congress, i.e. putting females on ships, is that repeal of DADT would be another unmitigated manpower and readiness disaster. Americans who care about the Nation’s security would be wise to oppose repeal and to block homosexual behavior from being openly practiced in the Armed Forces.

Wild Thing's comment........
IMO there is a big difference in someone that happens to be homosexual and is in the military vs. pushing the Gay Agenda and this repeal of DADT is just that. It is all about pushing the Gay Agenda and that is wrong. There is not a single institution in this great land that they do not want to tear down, demolish, devastate, obliterate, and annihilate......The object of all this effort on their part is power — pure, unadulterated power.
Remember the movie "Miracle On 34th Street"?
The lawyer for Santa Claus argued and won the case for his "legitimacy" by showing the US Post Office (a branch of the US Gov't) "recognized" Santa as "legit" (with all the rights associated with it) by accepting and delivering his mail.
IMHO, this is ALL this repeal is about.
Once the US Military "recognizes" LGBT (, gay, bisexual, and transgender) as "legit", they will HAVE to be officially recognized by the WHOLE US Gov't as legit,(states rights be damned), with all the heterosexual rights that go with it such as getting married, teaching Boy Scouts, being a priest , pastor, school teacher, etc, with all the "All Communist Lawyers Union" (ACLU) chomping at the bit to sue into oblivion anyone who denies the "rights" of these "newly Gov't recognized" groups.
Don't forget....the homosexuals will be a protected class in the military....anyone who speaks out, or rebuffs their advances will be disciplined with a hate crime. The congress has already been talking about the “special training” military men will need.
This was an excellent write up by Col. Pappas and to add to that I am putting a quote by Duncan Hunter below.
Retired Congressman Duncan Hunter released this statement today regarding this weekend’s critical votes in the United States Senate:
"And once again, the liberals in the Senate and the House are prepared to “reward” the great men and women who won the war in Iraq by forcibly injecting practicing homosexuals into their ranks. I would advise the members of the Senate and the House to listen to your Marine Commanders, who commanded the point of the spear, the tip of the spear – that is the platoons, the companies, the battalions, and regiments of Americans in combat – to reject this new legislation that would repeal Don’t Ask Don’t Tell. What the legislation really amounts to is an unprecedented injection of practicing homosexuals into the ranks of young men and women who joined the US Military not only for all the benefits that are offered, and not only for the opportunity to serve their country, but also for the wholesome atmosphere that the US Military has always maintained, with its reliance on traditional values. Those traditional values are about to be ripped apart by the leftwingers in the House and the Senate. My advice to all the members of the Senate who want to see the continued effectiveness of the US Military is to reject this radical approach that is being spearheaded by Barrack Obama and Harry Reid in the next couple of days."
....Thank you Mark for sending this to me.

Interesting point about sodomy.
Anyone who is gay and enlists or gets commissioned in the military is doing so under fraudulent conditions. Before they even put on the uniform, they have demonstrated they're no honorable and can't be trusted.

wounder if dog tags will have a 'G' for gay added?

Common sense from a sensible man. I am pretty sure that I served with a few gays. If they were, they kept it a secret and served honorably. Making open gayness an option will be all the problems Col. Pappas describes.

TomR, I know I served with gays but I didn't know it. I also served with a guy who turned out to be a child molester. Another one who robbed a convenience store and then committed suicide.
What bugs me about the whole thing is that they enlist knowing the rules but do so anyways. Then, they demand the rules be changed to suite their lifestyle.

I'm sure we all served with gays, they just never forced it upon the rest of us. Now we'll have them flaunting it and running off whining that they have been discriminated against at every disciplinary action.
Here's your poster child as to the kinds of snivelling that is going to be a leaders nightmare.
I'd bet some of you were like me in that we were infused with some of McNamara's 100000, what a joy to have them to babysit, to keep them from getting killed or killing someone, it wasn't those men's fault but it was that war criminal McNamara who perpetrated that travesty, he sent us under trained, physically deficient, medical deficient and yes morally deficient men who destroyed the morale. Some 345000 of them went to Vietnam. Not all were bad soldiers but it was devastating when you are already under manned to be saddled with troops you can't trust.
We can expect with the continued lowering of standards that eventually there will be none, no moral, no physical, no mental and no ethical standards, hey it will be just like Congress!!!

6 Republicans crossed over for this one. Murkowski, Voinivich, Brown, Collins, Snow and Kirk. They all want queers in the Military. The 41 Republicans blocked the vote for the Dream Act they could have blocked this too, but they chose not to, so instead of a Republic we now have a democracy. Where a group has control of your life.
According to the Pentagon there will be a 60 day period that will take care of the transition. Then the Sodomites can take over.

Today I was thinking about the Drill. Now the time that should be dedicated to teaching these kids discipline, how to kill bad guys and how to stay alive is going to be diverted to support someones political agenda. I guess the drill sgt. can no longer call them pussy's, "ladies", etc., or maybe they will still let them do what they need to do... OMG this is not good.

Bob, well said, that is true.

Chief, LOL now see I had not of that, but it might be a good idea.
Posted by: Wild Thing at December 18, 2010 06:21 PM
Tom, I wish they would have listened more to those that have served and what they had to say about the negatives that can be huge when the time comes.

Bob, good point.

Jack, thanks for the link.
This ticks me off, this Manning is a bad guy and a traitor to our country and to our Military. And to have anyone worried about how he is being treated???? sheesh!
The Pentagon is denying reports that the Army private suspected of passing classified information to WikiLeaks is being mistreated at the Marine brig at Quantico, Va., while awaiting possible court martial.
Jeff Paterson, director of the Oakland-based Courage to Resist project, said Friday that visitors report that Pfc. Bradley Manning generally spends at least 23 hours a day alone in a cell no larger than about 64 square feet. Paterson said his group considers this treatment a form of punishment prior to conviction.
Defense Department spokesman Col. Dave Lapan said Friday that Manning has the same privileges as all other prisoners held in what the military calls "maximum custody." He said Manning is in a standard single-person cell and gets exercise, recreation, access to newspapers and visitors.

excellent post and commentaries,i think wild thing sums up the danger so well in her analogy of comparing this to the fictional movie"miracle on 34street" once legitimized, precedence has been made commissioned officer's battlefield;s will be in the courts battling lawyer's about rights that haven't even been dreamed up yet.master sergeant's will become "dr. phill's"more concerned about" political correctness" then in preparing soldiers for the battlefield front! therein lies the real danager
